Nick Cannon Explains Why His 12 Kids Don’t Need To Spend Time Together

nick

Nick Cannon has been making his rounds discussing his parenting and trailer load of kids. The father of 12 recently shared that it doesn’t benefit anyone but him to have all his children under one roof. Despite being siblings, the actor who shares his kids with six women says seeing them individually works a lot better.

People Magazine reports:

The actor tells PEOPLE why it “works a lot better” for him to spend individual time with each of his kids rather than get the whole group together.

The 42-year-old, whose new morning show The Daily Cannon debuts on Amp later this month, tells PEOPLE that it “works a lot better” for him to spend individual time with his 12 kids rather than get the whole group together.

Noting that all of his kids come together “when necessary,” he feels the “only person that would benefit from having everyone in the same space would probably be me.”

“I feel like qualitative experiences are when I can give everyone their own individual experience,” he says. “I actually love stepping into their world. Going to their sports games or giving them their personal time for the holidays. So I have no problem with bouncing around.”

Looking to the future, Cannon says he thinks things may change.

“I think as everyone probably gets older, and even as I slow down a little bit more, I’m sure everyone will start coming to me in one place,” he shares.

LaNisha Cole Showers Baby Onyx In Love After Nick Cannon Forgets Her Name In Howard Stern Interview

As hard as Nick Cannon tries to maintain peace among his 12 children and six baby mamas, he obviously can’t always succeed. Earlier this week, the media personality took a huge L during an interview with Howard Stern. At the time, he was facing the challenge of listing the names of all his offspring. While he nearly nailed it, he forgot to include LaNisha Cole’s seven-month-old daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, in his list, earning Cannon significant backlash online, as well as a telling message posted on Instagram from his sixth baby mama. As per Page Six, the Story appeared on the model’s account on Thursday (April 13), giving some insight into her feelings on the situation.

“My whole world…” she previously wrote over an adorable photo of her growing baby in an animal-themed outfit. “The most beautiful little girl. I will do everything I can every single day to make sure she knows how special she is and how much I love and adore her,” Cole publicly pledged. In another slide, this one a much more serious black screen with white text, the 41-year-old reminded others in the online space that living life in the public eye is far from easy.

LaNisha Loves Her Baby Girl

“It’s not normal to have your life play out in front of an audience,” the mother of one began, “but this is the age we live in. That being said… No person’s path is linear. There’s going to be blind curves, peaks, valleys, and sometimes we make wrong turns or run into dead ends.” If this happens to you, Cole suggests that you “simply correct course and get back on your forward-moving path.” While things may look picture-perfect from the outside looking in, LaNisha made it known that she “[prays] every day for strength guidance and peace.”

Her heartfelt message came to an end with, “To all the moms out there, take care of your heart with the same love and patience you have for your babies. It’s not always easy but we were built for this ❤❤❤.” Revisit Nick Cannon’s awkward interview moment with Howard Stern below, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Nick Cannon Forgets Daughter’s Name In Stern Interview

Nick Cannon’s large family is a topic that has been covered extensively. The musician and television host currently has 12 children with six women. As Howard Stern put in a recent interview, “If he’s not working, he’s fucking.” Cannon’s oldest children are his twins Moroccan and Monroe, who are 11. His youngest child is 4-month-old Halo. Over the weekend, Cannon shared Easter-themed photos alongside his son, Legendary.

Cannon has typically taken the conversation about his family in stride. Last year, he released a shopping channel parody in which he joked about his “big ass family”. However, 12 kids means 12 names to remember. And for a man as busy as Cannon, that can be a big task. Especially when you’re on national radio suddenly being asked to name all 12.

Nick Cannon Forgets Daughter Onyx’s Name

Appearing on the Howard Stern show on Tuesday, the topics of conversation ranged from whether Cannon would get a vasectomy to wanting kids with Taylor Swift. As the conversation stayed on Cannon’s large family, Stern asked the TV star to name all 12 of his children. Cannon began to list his children in age order but was stopped when Stern told him he had “missed one”. When Cannon repeated part of the list, Stern informed him he had missed Onyx Ice Cole. Onyx is Cannon’s daughter with LaNisha Cole, born in September 2022.

Cannon, who was able to name all 12 last month on The Shade Room, tried to deflect the mistake, saying Stern had “threw him off.” Stern briefly lamented “poor Onyx” and joked that the mistake would likely land Cannon in trouble before the conversation moved on. Previously in the interview, Stern had joked about the “theory” that Cannon has so many kids so he can find a kidney donor. It was a small hiccup in a long and wide-ranging interview, but social media was quick to jump on Cannon’s omission. However, there has not been a report of any public backlash from Cannon’s family. It was like a mistake made in the pressure of the moment and Cannon was big enough to own up to when called out. Maybe Cannon needs to carry a list around with him, just in case he is asked again.

Men’s Health Hosts Hip Hop Health Panel With Nick Cannon, Doug E. Fresh And More

doug

Last week, Men’s Health Hosted a panel focusing on health and awareness in the heart of Brooklyn NYC. The panel, Hip Hop Health: Mind Over Music featured Nick cannon, Doug E. Fresh, Dr. Olajide Williams, and Lute. The panel was moderated by Keith Nelson, Jr and covered a range of topics from mental health to why we all need therapy. In this candid chat, these men discussed hip hop’s relationship with mental health and the silent battles they’ve had to overcome over the years.

Rapper Doug E Fresh spoke about braggadocious lyrics and the results of  speaking things into existence. The Harlem legend spoke so eloquently about mental health and taking the timeout for a ‘good cry’. He stated, “Hip Hop has the power of talking things into existence…When 50 Cent talked about Get Rich or Die Trying, He got rich! You know the album Paid in Full with Eric B and Rakim…They got paid and full! Now here’s the sad part is when you hear Ready to Die and what happened after that, hip hop has always been the power of talking things into existence. This is my favorite song from Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five it’s called Super Rappin’. Doug E then commenced to rap:

To the hip hop, a hip hop, a-don’t stop
A-don’t stop that body rock
A-just get up out your seat and get ready to clap
Because-a Melle Mel is starting to rap
And ever since I talked at my very first party
I felt I could make myself somebody
It was something in my heart from the very start
I could see myself at the top of the chart
Rapping on the mic, making cold, cold cash
With a jockey spinnin’ for me called DJ Flash
Signing autographs for the the young and old
Wearing big time silver and solid gold
My name on the radio and in the magazine
My picture on the TV screen
It’s ain’t like that yet, but, huh, you’ll see
I got potential and you will agree
I’m coming up and I got a step above the rest
‘Cause I’m using that ladder they call success
You say a-one, two, three, four, five, six, seven
Rap like hell and make it sound like heaven
A seven, six, five, four, three, two, one
A-come on, Rahiem, come and get some

He continued, “You have the ability to talk things into existence, good or bad.”

Nick Cannon Is Open to More Kids ... Especially if Its With Taylor Swift 0 17 screenshot

Nick Cannon has his eyes on Taylor Swift as his partner for Baby No. 13.

Popping up on The Howard Stern Show, Nick Cannon isn’t planning a new relationship or child at this particular moment, but if he were, Taylor Swift would potentially be a good partner.

Swift is recently single, and Stern floated the idea to Cannon. He replied, “First of all, she’s an amazing songwriter. What I do love about Taylor Swift is that she has been so vulnerable and open with all of her music.”

Cannon added, “I think she would relate to me very well. We probably will understand each other.”

Keeping with the joke, Cannon stated having baby 13 with the pop star “would be amazing.”

Nick Cannon Considers Dating Taylor Swift On “The Howard Stern Show”

Nick Cannon says that he’s currently satisfied with having 12 kids, but would make an exception for one woman in particular, Taylor Swift. Cannon appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Monday, and discussed the current state of his love life.

The discussion kicked off with Stern asking Cannon whether he’ll have more kids. “Every time I answer this question – I can never answer it correctly because I don’t know,” Nick admitted with a laugh. “I’m happy currently with the [children] that I got.” As for the type of woman that could make Cannon reconsider, he said, “She’d have to be cold. She’d have to be amazing.”

From there, Stern asked if Taylor Swift would be that type of woman. “Absolutely, I’m in — let’s go … That’s the one!” Cannon replied. He went on to praise her songwriting abilities and willingness to be vulnerable in her music before concluding, “Me and Taylor’s numbers are very similar when we’re talking about being in these streets. So, I think she would relate to me very well. We probably would really understand each other.”

Co-host Robin Quivers remarked, “She’s free and single,” to which Cannon joked, “My Spidey-Sense is tingling. I think that would be amazing.” Swift had been in a relationship with her longtime partner, Joe Alwyn, for six years before the two called it quits in recent weeks. News of their breakup was first reported by ET. The outlet cited sources that said the split was amicable and “it was not dramatic.” They added that “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.” They’ve yet to comment on the breakup publically, but throughout their time together, both were very private about their relationship. Swift is currently traveling the world to perform on her sold-out 52-stop Eras Tour.

Elsewhere in Cannon’s interview on The Howard Stern Show, he discussed his relationship with Will Smith and the Oscars slap, being friends with Pete Davidson, and more. Check out a clip from Cannon’s appearance on the show below.

Prolific Father Nick Cannon Would Be ‘All In’ On Taylor Swift Being The Mother Of His 13th Child

Nick Cannon currently has 12 children, while the number 13 has recurred throughout Taylor Swift’s career. So, Swift having Cannon’s 13th child would certainly be something, and it’s an idea that Cannon is up for, as he noted in a recent interview with Howard Stern.

The clip starts with Stern asking for a definitive answer on whether Cannon is done having kids. He refused to be concrete, though, because he simply doesn’t know what the future holds. He did say, however, “I’m happy currently with, you know, my dozen that I got.”

Stern pushed the issue, asking, “Who would be the woman that would make you have a baby again?” Cannon laughed off the question, saying, “I’m not doing this. I can see the headlines.” Stern continued, “If I said to you, ‘Taylor Swift wants to have a baby with you.’” Cannon replied, “Absolutely, I’m in. Let’s go! That’s the one! I’m all in.”

Cannon added:

“First of all, she’s an amazing songwriter. And what I do love about Taylor Swift is the fact that she has been so vulnerable and open with all of her music since such a young girl. And she kind of like me, like… me and Taylor’s numbers is very similar when we talk about being in these streets [laughs]! So I think she would relate to me very well based off of, like, ‘Yo, you’ve dated a lot of people in the public eye, so have I,’ so we probably will really understand each other.”

Stern then made note of Swift’s reported break-up with Joe Alwyn and Cannon joked, “You know I know that, Howard! You know I’m… my Spidey-Senses was tingling!”

The whole conversation felt very tongue-in-cheek, so probably don’t expect a pregnancy announcement from Cannon and Swift any time soon.

Nick Cannon Isn’t Impressed By A Lot Of Rap Music: ‘TikTok Has Proven Anyone Can Do It’

When you think of Nick Cannon, when he’s going to release new music is perhaps the last thing that comes to mind. The first might be his large family and incessant need to debate monogamy publicly. The second might be his lengthy career as a television host. Next might be his awareness work around the immune disease lupus. Or even his marriage to Mariah Carey. But never new music.

However, in an interview with HipHopDX, Cannon revealed that he kind of wants it that way. When asked about his time in rap music, he responded, “To define me is to confine me. I never thought I was a rapper. That’s why I think I just kind of never — I wouldn’t say I didn’t take it seriously, but I was more focused on being a producer, a musician.”

Later in the discussion, Cannon (whose latest album, The Explicit Tape: Raw & B, was released in 2022) addressed the naysayers that poke fun at his rap career.

“So when people make fun of me, I don’t care — anybody can do that. I’m not impressed by anybody who can rhyme words together. TikTok has proven anyone can do it,” replied Cannon.

He added, “I commend and salute all poets and storytellers. Those are the greats. But just being able to put some words together over a beat, anybody could do that. Literally, Dr. Seuss has turned us all into rappers.”

50 Cent is one of the people that have gone on to make fun of his rap skills. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, the mogul was asked why he never responded to a diss Cannon said in a song, to which 50 Cent at first simply laughed off. He then took a moment to respond, saying, “I don’t know why he’s so passionate about [rapping]…You suck, bro. You suck.”

His next line went on to take on a life of its own through memes. “Like there was never a moment where we was like, ‘Ooh, bars,’” joked 50.

However, Cannon still believes that the impact he had on music is underappreciated.

“I think in hindsight when people look back, they’ll be like, ‘Yeah, he was on his music grind the entire time,’” said Cannon.
