Quavo Threatened With Lawsuit After Allegedly Scamming Vitaly Out Of $50K

Vitaly links up with everybody. The YouTuber has build an entire industry around live streams in which rappers help him catch (and then humiliate) would-be predators. He did it with YG and Lil Pump. Migos superstar Quavo was supposed to be the next rapper to appear on a Vitaly stream, but he pulled a no-show at the last minute. So last minute, in fact, that Vitaly claims he already paid him $50K upfront to participate. Needless to say, the YouTuber was not happy. He’s going as far as to claim he’s taking legal action against Quavo as a result.

Vitaly broke the news that Quavo wasn’t coming during a July 29th stream. He also made racial remarks about the rapper, which drew criticism from fans throughout the world. “So, Quavo is not coming,” Vitaly announced. “No, he’s not coming. He took our deposit, right? Yeah, of course, Black people thing.” The YouTuber was so frustrated by the no-show that he urged viewers to harass the Migos rapper on social media. “Every Quavo post that goes on TikTok, everywhere, you guys say, ‘Give Vitaly his money back,’” he requested. “That’s not cool. Just taking my money like this.” Vitaly decided to take matters into his own hands on August 2, however. He went on stream and announced plans to sue Quavo for bailing on his agreement.

Quavo Reportedly Bailed On A Planned Stream Appearance

Vitaly told viewers that he was getting in touch with the legal team of another controversial streamer, Adin Ross. “We are also getting Adin Ross’ lawyers to pursue legal actions towards Quavo and his team,” he noted. The YouTuber proceeded to disparage Quavo for his actions, claiming that he used to be a big fan of the rapper. “I’ve nothing against Quavo. I was the biggest fan,” he added. “I’m not a fan anymore. I know one person isn’t gonna make a difference, but it is gonna make a difference…”

Quavo seemingly had other events on his mind. The rapper made headlines on July 31 when he attended Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia. Not only did Quavo voice his support for Harris, but he gave a speech in support of gun control. This was another talking point that Vitaly made fun of during his live stream. “He endorsed Kamala Harris saying protect the gun violence,” the YouTuber noted. “All you do is rap about violence and drugs.” The specifics of Vitaly’s lawsuit have been made public.

Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch. These are the three men that make up one of New York’s most prominent rap groups, The LOX. For nearly 30 years, all three blue collar-esque MCs have stuck together all this time. The comments were in total agreement, “Nothing beats prayer 👏👏👏”. “❤ praying together LOVEEEE”, another user added. That is exactly what The LOX went ahead did by putting their talents on full display on the Tiny Desk stage.

Former NBA and New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony was one of them, simply saying, “Can’t wait”. Additionally, previous NFL stud receiver for the New York Giants, Victor Cruz also chimed in, “Nah I might have to set an alarm for this one”.

Ice Spice’s Tragic “Y2K” First Week Sales Projections Leave Fans Stunned

Following months of teasing, Ice Spice finally unleashed her debut album last week, Y2K. It boasts features from the likes of Gunna, Central Cee, and Travis Scott. Unfortunately, while the project had a ton of potential, many feel like it left a lot to be desired. Some were even quick to dub it the worst project of the year. That’s clearly up for debate, as the Bronx-born baddie arguably delivered at least a couple of bangers. Either way, the album’s commercial performance has been less than impressive.

According to Hits Daily Double, Y2K is on track to move 20k units in its first week. Social media users agree that this number is shockingly low, even considering all of the criticism surrounding the project. As a result, X users are now clowning the “Deli” rapper, and comparing her performance to that of peers like JT, Latto, and more.

Y2K On Track To Sell 20K Its First Week

Social media users are also speculating what could have caused the apparent drop-off. Some think it could be related to her shady comments about Nicki Minaj or other beef. Others also think she should change up her sound, and argue that listeners are simply getting bored. Luckily, not everyone has something bad to say about Y2K, as Pitchfork recently gave it a controversially high rating. The publication rated it 7.6 out of 10, the highest rating they’ve given a mainstream rap tape all year.

With that being said, many other critics have ripped the album to shreds. The same can be said for a new bonus track she unveiled today, “GYAT,” which has also elicited lukewarm reactions from listeners. What do you think of Ice Spice’s new album Y2K? What about it being on track to sell 20k units in its first week? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Big Sean Reveals What Is Keeping Him Out Of Big Three Conversations

Big Sean’s latest interview with The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne tha God is generating quite a bit of buzz. During their chat, they divulge in numerous topics, with perhaps the biggest surrounding him and Kendrick Lamar’s relationship. However, there is another section that is causing some debate amongst the viewers. Over each decade of hip-hop, you can point to three artists who have defined their respective periods. The one that gets perhaps the most traction is for the 2010s. Most throw in Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole in there, something that each MC has addressed several times as of late.

Other names you can debate are Future, Travis Scott, and Kanye West. The former of those names is someone that Charlamagne is willing to create a “Fantastic Four” for. Additionally, he tells Sean that the aforementioned “Big Three” is essentially unanimous, to which Sean rebuttals that he hears his moniker thrown around in those conversations. Additionally, though, the Detroit rapper can understand where people, including Charlamagne, are coming from. He cites that his “consistency” really isn’t there, mentioning how he hasn’t dropped an album in almost four years. Although, that dry spell will be ending on August 9 when Sean comes out with Better Me Than You.

Big Sean Notes “Consistency” Is Holding Him Back From “Big Three” Status

While the “Precision” rapper does show some humility, he does make clear that he can hang with the best of them on any track. He boldly mentions his verses on two Kendrick Lamar collabs, “Control” and DJ Khaled’s “Holy Key”, as his biggest flexes. In fact, he even claims he made sure he put together the stronger performance on the latter. This prompted fans to react. “He didn’t have a better verse on holy key though lol”, one user on X says. Overall, there were some fans that put Sean in the same air as three aforementioned pillars of the past decade and some that don’t. Maybe, though, he can convince the critics next Friday.

What are your thoughts on Big Sean knowing that he isn’t in the big three conversations like Drake, Kendrick, and Cole? Do you think he belongs in these debates, why or why not? Can his next album catapult him back toward the top of the heap if not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Big Sean. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Kamala Harris Secures Majority Delegate Support, Becomes Presumptive Democratic Nominee for President

Vice President Kamala Harris

Today, Vice President Kamala Harris received the support of the majority of Democratic National Convention delegates, making her the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

After unifying the party and generating unprecedented enthusiasm from the broad and diverse coalition that sent her and President Biden to the White House, Vice President Harris secured the majority delegate support in a vote that began yesterday. This historic moment for the Democratic Party and the country comes in a critical election year with high stakes.

Today’s milestone follows a groundbreaking $310 million fundraising haul in July – the best grassroots fundraising month in presidential history, with two-thirds of the contributions coming from first-time donors. This significant financial support underscores the strong backing and enthusiasm for Vice President Harris’s candidacy as she prepares for the upcoming presidential race.

“I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States… The tireless work of our delegates, our state leaders, and staff has been pivotal in making this moment possible. And your dedication cannot be overstated…

“We believe in the promise of America: the promise of freedom, opportunity, and justice – not just for some, but for all. And, ultimately, in this election – you all have heard me say many times – we each face the question: What kind of country do we want to live in? Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion, and rule of law, or a country of chaos, fear, and hate? And the beauty of our democracy is we each, every one of us, has the power to answer that question. And that is why I say, and know, the power is with the people.

“So here’s the bottom line, I say to all the friends on the call: We are going to win this election. And it is going to take all of us, whether it is making calls, connecting with our communities, engaging online, or even talking with people where we go every day, whether it be to the grocery store or our church. We are going to talk with people about the fact that we are all in this together, and we stand together. And so, let’s let folks know that our campaign is about the future. And it’s about an expansion of rights and freedoms, and for the opportunity of everyone to not just get by, but to get ahead.

“November 5th is 95 days away… It’s not going to be easy, but we’re going to get this done. And, as your future president, I know we are up to this fight. And when we fight, everyone will say in unison, we win.”

Summer Walker Puts Spotify On Blast For Leaving Out Nicki Minaj & Others At Gold Standard Exhibition

There are a whole host of legendary female rappers that have graced the mic over the genre’s history. Each one has had a unique impact on the game. However, there may never be no one more influential than Nicki Minaj. Many credit her for the trends that exist in the current landscape, and rightfully so. It seems every female star today takes some sort of inspiration from Onika. Sometimes, the Barbz can shove in your face a little too much, but that will never truly take away from her looming presence over the latest crop of talent. These reasons are why fans, including Summer Walker, are confused and upset with Spotify over a recent omission.

According to AllHipHop, the streaming giant put together a special exhibit called The Gold Standard Exhibition in New York City. It features tons of stunning portraits of all of the “ladies setting the bar for hip-hop”. Present faces such as Latto, Flo Milli, Sexyy Red, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and more were featured. However, Summer Walker was quick to point out the exclusion of Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim, and Missy Elliott in the comments.

“I don’t even listen to hella Nicki cause I’m a r&b lover. But where is the Queen.. or Lil Kim at least or Missy Elliott… this mad disrespectful. This why I make my music n go home the industry weird”, Walker said. Fans were equally thrown off, too. “Kim, Nicki, Foxy, Lauryn, Eve, Trina, Missy, Da Brat, Left Eye, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shonte, Queen Latifah, YoYo. I’m sure I’m missing more but the disrespect”, another adds. This is certainly alarming, but it could be only one way to view it. There’s a chance that Spotify made this for the new generation looking to take over and carry the torch of the Nickis, Kims, Hills, and etc. It seems that was the case, but if not, then this is certainly a massive misstep.

What are your thoughts on Summer Walker calling out Spotify for the omission of several female rap greats at The Gold Standard Exhibition? Do you think the streaming platform was highlighting the new stars of hip-hop, or did they just screw up? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Summer Walker and Nicki Minaj. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

YNW Melly’s Mother & Fredo Bang Deposition Dates Revealed Amid YNW Juvy Estate’s Lawsuit

YNW Melly has been behind bars for several years now. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting out anytime soon. The 25-year-old rapper was arrested back in 2019 for his alleged role in the murders of YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser. If convicted, he faces life in prison or the death penalty. His retrial is scheduled to begin in September of next year.

Melly is also facing civil lawsuits from both SakChaser and Juvy’s estates, which recently got a major update. According to Bryson “Boom” Paul, Melly’s mother Jamie King and Fredo Bang are scheduled to give video depositions as part of the Juvy lawsuit on September 26 and 27 of this year.

Jamie King & Fredo Bang To Give Video Depositions On September 26 & 27

This latest development comes only weeks after Melly’s lawyer Bradford Cohen put Florida prosecutors on blast in an Instagram post. He accused them of mishandling the case from the beginning, making it clear that he’s outraged by how things have played out so far. “Essentially, the Broward State Attorneys Office really screwed this case up,” he wrote. “I have never seen anything like it. Literally refused to pass this case to an unconflicted state attorneys office after the defense listed one of their own state attorneys as a witness. They wanted to be able to cross examine the state attorney that was what amounted to a whistle blower and testified that a police officer lied.”

It also follows Melly’s mother calling for the case to be dismissed altogether after the new retrial date was announced. At the time, she also revealed that Melly is not allowed phone calls, contact with other inmates, or visits. What do you think of YNW Melly’s mother and Fredo Bang giving depositions later this year? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
