The Bad Boy Records founder has been hit with several lawsuits in recent months from individuals accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and more. Security footage of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016 also surfaced earlier this year. Amid all of this, supporters have been waiting to hear from Yung Miami, as the two of them dated before the legal saga.

Saucy Santana Sticks Up For Yung Miami Amid Caresha Please Criticism

In the episode, Yung Miami confirmed that she and Diddy have gone their separate ways. She also confirmed that Diddy never abused her. She had positive things to say about him, describing their “business relationship” as mutually beneficial. This prompted some backlash from viewers, who felt like she went too easy on Diddy. Some even accused her of lying about her own experience with him.

Now, Saucy Santana has taken to social media to defend her, slamming critics for begging for the truth and then becoming outraged when she finally delivered it. “If she was trying to save face she could have did it a long time ago,” he explained. “You can’t get mad at someone about their truth. Drake Slapped With Copyright Strike After Dropping Unreleased Music

Drake dominated the news cycle when he dropped “100 Gigs” on our collective headtops. The rollout worked, as fans sifted through unreleased footage and reactive positively to new collabs with Latto and 21 Savage. The only problem was, Drake’s label did not appreciate the drop. Universal Music Group, aka UMG, issued a copyright strike against the rapper on August 9. They ensured that the three new songs Drake put out were taken down. They are no longer available to stream on the rapper’s official website.

The copyright strike was actually confirmed by Drake himself. The rapper took to his recently revealed Finsta account, @plottttwistttttt, to share the notification he received from UMG. The screenshot stated that access to the content had been restricted due to reports from a third party. The third party, being, of course, Drizzy’s label. It’s currently unknown which new song triggered the copyright strike on the part of UMG. The only song that’s gained traction, “It’s Up,” has done so due to 21 Savage’s combative verse.

Drake Signed A Massive Deal With UMG In 2021

Drizzy’s relationship with UMG has been a topic of speculation in recent years. The rapper reportedly signed a “LeBron-Sized” deal with the label back in 2021. Variety reported that the deal incorporated every facet of Drake’s business: recordings, publishing and merchandise. Neither UMG nor Drake has divulged the specific dollar amount that was agreed upon. The latter, however, did allude to owning his own masters on the 2021 song “The Remorse.” Drake has not spoken publicly about his interactions with UMG, but it was widely theorized that the label got involved in the recent battle involving Kendrick Lamar.

TMZ claimed that UMG was putting a halt to the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef in May. A supposed leak stated that the label was concerned about the impact the beef would have on the rapper’s sales. “Drake is losing the beef in UMG’s eyes,” the document read. “So from UMG’s perspective, the sooner than this beef ends the better.” Despite gaining some traction online, UMG quickly shut down the rumor. The reps for the label asserted that they had no involvement in the battle. “Kendrick and Drake’s beef is between them,” their statement noted. “UMG just doesn’t think it’s their place to step in either way.”

Rick Ross Gets Sued Over Lack Of Wheelchair Accessibility At Car Show

It’s been an undoubtedly busy few months for Rick Ross, and unfortunately for the performer, it looks like he now has some new legal issues to deal with. Ross hosted his annual Car & Bike Show back in June, and a man named Darris Straughter couldn’t have been more excited to attend. In fact, he says he went the extra mile to ensure he had a great experience, paying for travel, lodging, and a ticket well in advance.

Sadly, however, Straughter was ultimately unable to go, as a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus allegedly never arrived to pick him up as promised. As a result, Straughter has filed a lawsuit against Ross for alleged breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. He’s seeking damages, and requesting an order that will require the car show to accommodate those with disabilities in the future.

In the suit, Straughter claims that he reached out to the venue two weeks before the event to let them know that he needed accommodations for his wheelchair. Allegedly, they promised that a shuttle bus would pick him up from the parking lot to take him to the event. After hours of waiting, he gave up, and eventually decided just to return to his hotel.

The suit also states that event organizers promised a refund to anyone who didn’t get into the event. Straughter and his lawyer allege that nobody followed up with him in the end. Kai Cenat Begs French Police To Release Travis Scott: Watch

Travis Scott got on the wrong side of an altercation on August 9. The Houston rapper was arrested for getting into a fight with his bodyguard at a luxury hotel in Paris. According to People Magazine, Scott’s representatives are still working to get the rapper freed. “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities,” they noted in a written statement. “To swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.” Apparently, Scott’s legal team aren’t the only ones working to get him out though. Kai Cenat, streamer extraordinaire, decided to offer assistance as well.

Cenat was also in Paris for the Olympics, and decided to roll the dice with French authorities. He went up to a random squad car and asked that Travis Scott be released ASAP. “Please, just free Travis right now,” he said to the officer behind the wheel. “Everybody’s concerned, everybody’s worried, so we gotta get him freed.” Kai Cenat voices frustration when he realizes the officer doesn’t speak English. He then goes to a Black officer and attempts the same routine. The second officer confirms that he doesn’t know who Scott is, but Cenat isn’t buying it. “Bro, Travis Scott,” he asserted. “It’s lit! Fein! Y’all just had arrested him yesterday.” No dice. The streamer walks away from the interaction empty-handed.

Kai Cenat Told Authorities That Fans Were Worried

Kai Cenat and Travis Scott have developed a close friendship over the years. The latter has called Cenat during his streams, and have even linked up for 24 hour streams in the past. Cenat is also a huge fan of Scott’s music. He regularly posts reactions to new Scott music, and even went viral when Scott went 0 for at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Cenat was visibly frustrated by the fact that Travis Scott failed win any of the rap categories. “Who decided this motherf*cker?,” the streamer asked. “Who the f*ck decided this motherf*cker? Her Loss? Utopia? Metro Boomin?”

The viral moment happened back in February, but has actually become relevant again. Killer Mike, the rapper who beat Travis Scott in multiple categories, seemingly dissed the Houston rapper on his new album. Mike evidently felt a way about the pushback he got from celebrity names like Kai Cenat, and asserted that he was deserving of the wins. “You gon respect me like a motherf*ckin’ Grammy winner,” Killer Mike rapped on the album. “Like I cooked your favorite rapper like a Granny dinner.”

Earlier today, Blueface appeared in court for a sentencing hearing, and a judge handed him a four-year prison sentence. The “Thotiana” rapper’s father shared the unfortunate news with fans on Instagram, expressing his disappointment in the verdict. Blueface first turned himself in back in January for an alleged probation violation and has been behind bars ever since.

Fans and loved ones were hopeful that this sentencing hearing would mark the end of Blueface’s incarceration, but evidently, they did not get the news they were looking for. His mother Karlissa Saffold even told TMZ last month that she was planning a welcome home party for his return. Now, she’s taken to Instagram to provide fans with an update, and to weigh in on the verdict.

He’s in his right frame of mind. We didn’t get the verdict we wanted today, but we got some closure, we got new beginnings, and we’re all hopeful for this to go by smooth and quickly.”

Kanye West’s “VULTURES 2” To Debut At Number Two On Billboard Charts

We’re hoping VULTURES 2 is the wildest album rollout of 2024. We can’t imagine an album being more scattered and confusing than this, much less conceive of an artist who could get away with it. The album has been a talking point for all the wrong reasons, between streaming removals, sample clearances, and the rumor that Kanye West used AI to complete his verses. All that said, VULTURES 2 has sold decently well. Chart Data has dropped the first week numbers for the anticipated sequel, and it’s set to do better than expected.

The outlet reports that Kanye West and Ty Dolla’s Sign’s joint album will sell 83K units in its first week. That’s good enough for a number two spot on the Billboard 200. In a separate tweet, Chart Data noted that the number two debut will end Kanye West’s streak of having albums top the charts. To make things even worse, Taylor Swift will be the artist who ends it. Swift will continue to hold down the top spot with her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Departments. As we previously noted, Swift put out four new versions of the album on August 8. Innocuous enough on the surface, but fans were quick to point out the fact that West dropped four versions of VULTURES 2 the same day.

Kanye West Sold Under 100K First Week For The First Time

Fans will never know for sure whether Swift was trolling Kanye West with her rollout. That being said, the VULTURES sequel would have struggled regardless. Ye’s album sales have been steadily declining in the last few years. Jesus Is King and DONDA sold 264K and 309K first week, respectively. VULTURES was a significant downturn with only 148K units sold. VULTURES 2 is the first time Kanye West’s career that he has failed to sell at least 100K in the first week. That said, album sales appear to be the least of the star’s worries these days.

Kanye West took to social media on August 8 to blast Atlantic Records over their business tactics. He said that the label was threatening to take both VULTURES albums down from all streaming platforms. “40% of all revenue from V1 and V2 needs to be paid to Atlantic,” the rapper claimed. “If we don’t handle immediately Atlantic will issue take downs for both albums.” West then likened himself to an indie artist, and continued to release new music throughout the day. “This is what ‘they’ do to independent artists,” he added on his IG Story. We will have to wait and see where the VULTURES 2 story goes next.
