Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti do not get along. The former couple had an acrimonious split despite sharing a child. Azalea, in particular, has been open about criticizing Carti for his lack of involvement in their son’s life. It’s this behind-the-scenes context that makes Azalea’s latest ad so intriguing. She gets a phone call in her latest ad for Unreal Mobile, and the person on the other line seems like a thinly veiled dig at Playboi Carti. The two have a lengthy conversation, in which Iggy Azalea manages to talk her odd client into switching over to her partnership brand.
There are quite a few parallels between the “client” and Playboi Carti. For one, the client is dressed very much in the rapper’s gothic style. The client also brags about drinking blood for thousands of years, a nod to vampirism which is once again Carti’s wheelhouse. The rapper literally has a song called “VAMP ANTHEM” on his 2020 album Whole Lotta Red. Iggy Azalea and the Unreal Mobile team didn’t stop at the look, though. At one point during the video, the client breaks out into an incoherent baby voice. A voice that’s pretty directly poking fun at Playboi Carti’s “baby voice” flow.

You don’t need to squint to see what Iggy Azalea is doing here. She’s using her platform and her deal with Unreal Mobile to poke fun at the father of her child. It’s not a particularly funny ad, but it definitely gets in some digs on Playboi Carti’s eccentric persona. Those who question whether Azalea would go as far as to diss Carti in an ad needn’t look further back than July. The “Fancy” rapper went on the Dinner’s on Me podcast and made it very clear that she doesn’t consider Carti a dad to their son. “I’m very much a single mother,” she told the hosts. “I’m very much the only parent. No disrespect, but yes, I am not co-parenting really, and that’s just the reality of it. It’s one, it’s 24/7.”
Iggy Azalea disses Playboi Carti every chance she gets. When a fan posted a compilation of Carti with his son, the Australian rapper threw another dig his way. “Its cool how you can fit damn near every visit into just one video,” she wrote on Twitter in December. “Talented!” Playboi Carti is famous for not giving interviews or discussing his personal life. He’s never dissed Iggy Azalea publicly. That said, it’s easy to see why Azalea is ticked off.

In December of last year, Lil Wayne was hit with a lawsuit by his former bodyguard, Carlos Christian. Christian accuses Weezy of threatening him with a gun during a dispute at the rapper’s California home and punching him in the head. Reportedly, sources close to Lil Wayne told authorities that the incident never happened when they arrived on the scene. Apparently, they also said he didn’t even own a gun. It remains unclear what the alleged dispute was about, but Christian alleges that the artist “acted with malice” and “a willful and conscious disregard” for his safety.
“It reasonably appeared to plaintiff that [Lil Wayne] was about to carry out the threat,” Christian’s legal team wrote. “Plaintiff suffered severe emotional distress, requiring him to seek mental health treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) stemming directly from this incident.”
Lil Wayne Files Motion To Dismiss Ex-Bodyguard’s Assault Lawsuit

At the time, it was also reported that Christian claimed to have incurred medical expenses, lost wages, and suffered emotional distress. He was seeking compensatory and punitive damages over the alleged incident. Now, according to legal documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, the performer has asked an LA county court to dismiss the lawsuit. He insists he only acted in self-defense during the debacle. His attorney claims Christian didn’t actually suffer any injuries as a result of their spat either.
He also adds that Christian “failed to exercise reasonable care and diligence to mitigate his alleged damages.” The judge hasn’t ruled on Lil Wayne’s motion yet, so it remains to be seen what’ll end up playing out. A blockbuster deal has been struck between Sony and Michael Jackson’s estate. The former has paid a whopping $600 million for the King of Pop’s back catalog. It was a lengthy process to secure the deal, but it was finalized on August 22 by Jackson’s estate executors John Branca and John McClain. It was previously reported by Billboard that Sony wanted to purchase half of Michael Jackson’s catalog. Now, however, it seems as though the final sale include all of the recordings Jackson made during his life. It benefits lots of people who were close to Jackson, but his mother, Katherine, is not pleased.
The matriarch of the Jackson family claimed that the Sony deal “violated Michael’s wishes.” Katherine Jackson actually tried to stop the deal, but her legal attempts were rejected by the court. The ruling was that she “forfeited” her case when she failed to present it to a lower probate court. Branca and McCain were ultimately able to make the deal because it did not directly go against the conditions of Michael Jackson’s will. “The will gave the executors broad powers of sale,” the court wrote. “With no exception for the specific assets at issue in this case.”
Furthermore, the court declared that Jackson’s estate was well within its rights to make a deal they felt was advantageous. “[A judge] did not err in concluding that it was Michael’s intent to allow the executors to sell any estate assets,” the court announced. “Including those at issue in the proposed transaction.” Katherine was the last Jackson standing in opposition to the Sony deal. When it was initially suggested, Michael Jackson’s son Blanket and daughter Paris also balked at the idea. The more money went into a legal battle, however, the more open they were to negotiating.
In March 2024, Blanket issued a statement asking his grandmother to stop using Michael Jackson’s estate to pay for legal fees. Blanket, who also goes by the name “Bigi,” declared Katherine’s efforts to be pointless. “Bigi decided not to waste his resources to participate in an appeal,” a court document stated. “Nonetheless, Katherine has decided to appeal this court’s ruling. That decision is not for the benefit of the heirs.” Debate will continue to rage on as to whether Michael Jackson would have inked the deal with Sony himself. As it stands, though, the company now owns $600 million worth of his music.
Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign are scheduled to appear in Korea tomorrow for their eagerly anticipated listening event for their new album, Vultures 2. Today, Ye was spotted at an airport in the East Asian country, joined by several family members. Of course, his wife Bianca Censori accompanied him, as did three of his kids.
Censori rocked a nude bodysuit, which she complemented with a matching hat and a pair of heels. As for Ye, he kept it casual for the long flight, sporting a white hoodie and some sweatpants. She was seen walking alongside his little ones, and even holding his six-year-old son, Chicago.

The Korean performance will be Ye’s first in roughly 15 years and is set to take place at Goyang Stadium. It’ll also be his second major listening event in recent weeks. Earlier this month, he and Ty performed in Salt Lake City, where Censori and her sisters cheered them on. For now, it remains unclear whether or not Ye and his entourage will do any exploring during their stay in Korea, though everybody looked excited to be there.
The trip comes shortly after Censori was spotted enjoying dinner with her family, who was visiting from Australia, and Ye’s children. Although she wants to be respected as an artist, Chrisean Rock may be more well-known for her relationship with Blueface and court cases. She emerged on Blueface’s reality show, which pitted young women against one another in the boxing ring. Chrisean’s tenacity and disturbing dedication to Blueface set her apart, and soon, she was known across social media platforms after losing a tooth during a match. Rock’s hot-headed attitude, willingness to fight anyone who stood in her way, and adoration for Blueface captivated audiences and online commentators. Soon, Blueface put her in the studio, and she had a viral hit on her hands with “Vibe.”
The track helped establish Chrisean as an artist as she performed at small events nationwide. However, her introductory moments in the spotlight were shadowed by ongoing controversies, including public displays of domestic abuse, arrests, fights with relatives, explosive social media moments, allegations of partying during her pregnancy, and now, a jail sentence and extradition. In her college years, Chrisean Rock was a young lady full of promise who some believed would pursue a sports career. Obviously, her life’s path headed in another direction once connecting with Blueface, and she’s facing several legal issues that could set her back even further.
Chrisean’s Courthouse Arrest
As Blueface faced a court case of his own that resulted in a four-year sentence, Chrisean wanted to support the father of her 11-month-old son. In June 2024, Blueface was in court for his probation violation charges related to a Las Vegas shooting, and Chrisean was at the San Fernando Valley courthouse to be by his side. However, she found herself in cuffs after authorities arrested her concerning a fugitive warrant related to a case out of Oklahoma and an assault case involving Tamar Braxton’s associate, James Wright.
Meanwhile, Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, called Rock’s arrest a “low blow” and “bad timing.” She also publicly reached out to Kim Kardashian on social media, hoping that the mogul would use her legal connections to help with the case. “That wasn’t the time,” Saffold told TMZ of Rock’s arrest. “She had her kid and she was there supporting my son, so I don’t agree with it.”
The Assault Case
About the assault charge, an altercation occurred in November 2023 when Wright and Rock engaged in a scuffle following a performance in Los Angeles at the Novo. Wright later sued Rock, accusing her of repeatedly striking him so hard that her rings, compared to brass knuckles, broke two teeth and cut his face. According to Vibe, Le Troy Davis from Braxton’s entourage said the rapper showed up to the Novo “drunk, with 1,000 people, smelling like weed.” Rock gave birth to her son, Chrisean Malone Jr., in September 2023, months before the incident.
Braxton was performing at the Novo, where Rock made an appearance. According to reports, the Baddies star became upset after she wasn’t allowed to take to the stage to perform one of her songs. Things became heated backstage, where Rock and Wright engaged in a war of words. However, things became physical, and Wright was left with injuries. He would expound on the night in a video. “Everybody wanna tell stories and tell they versions… I was an innocent bystander,” Wright shared, per Vibe. “You know, you still gotta keep joy and stuff… I don’t know what be wrong with people.” He added, “Y’all should see my f*cking face.”
Further, Tamar Braxton also commented on the altercation. She said she looked at Rock like a younger sister who she wanted to help, particularly because they were both from Maryland. Braxton also confirmed that Rock assaulted Wright after the rapper was upset she was invited to the stage to dance but not to perform. Initially, Rock blamed “false narratives” for the controversy, but a judge thought otherwise. She entered a plea of no contest and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and one year of probation. The reality star also must stay 100 yards from the Novo and Wright. Because she and Blueface were in jail at the same time, their son was put in the care of friends and relatives. Upon her release, she was extradited to Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Case
In Fall of 2020, Blueface and Chrisean Rock were back in the headlines following a strange report about her driving cross country. According to the California rapper and his team, his girlfriend allegedly broke into his home, stole his car, and attempted to drive back to her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Yet, she was stopped by police in Oklahoma, where she was said to have been found with drugs in the vehicle. Blue’s manager, Wack 100, issued a scathing reaction to the news and offered insight into the shocking incident.
“This Bozo deserves all that she has coming to her !” Wack wrote on social media. “Broke in the house again stole thousands stole the G Waggon as we found out not knowing it was her 1700 miles away got caught. I have no remorse for this BOZO. Now I gotta go get the car out the impound and pay another 5,000 for a transport service to bring it back ! If it was you how would you see it !!! And it looks like she was moving work from the charges ! Smh.”
Then, in 2023, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections shared a wanted flyer online of Rock. It showed she was charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, as well as a failure to display the tax stamp for said drugs. “The charges are for Fugitive from Justice warrant out of Oklahoma,” a police representative stated in an email to Complex. “If they will be extradited it would all depend on the agency who they have a warrant from. I cannot confirm if and when they will be extradited.”
Rock was officially transferred to Oklahoma earlier this month to face a new fight that could land her years behind bars. Back in March 2024, Rock made it clear that she was aware of her warrant, but she didn’t want to turn herself in. With a baby in tow, the first-time mother had concerns about what would happen to her little boy if she was detained. Wack 100 speculated that Rock would eventually be given a lengthy sentence, but he doesn’t expect her to “do some years.” Wack added, “Either way, we’ll see her before Christmas. We’ll see her before the summer’s up. She’ll be alright … She’s in the same situation Blueface is in.”
A Life Full Of Promise As A Track Star
Before her explosive entrance into the entertainment industry, Chrisean was a star on the field. She attended Southern California’s Santa Monica College, where she was hailed as one of the top track stars on the team. These skills even landed her segments on television shows and news programs, highlighting her accomplishments and potential. Her story resonated with many because of her rough upbringing in Baltimore, where she was one of 12 siblings trying to make their way with a father in prison and a mother who struggled with drug addiction.
According to FOX 45 Baltimore, Chrisean became homeless at just nine years old and found shelter with friends and family. She would rotate through these homes every few days, emphasizing the instability of her childhood. However, she found solace in track, connecting with her friends and coaches who acted as her community. “As a young, Black, beautiful woman, I am a survivor,” Chrisean said in 2020. “Since I didn’t have the childhood I should’ve had, then I can have the future that I deserve.”
Karrahbooo shocked fans when she decided to leave Concrete Boys in July. The rapper was dubbed the first lady of Lil Yachty’s rap collective. There was widespread speculation as to what caused the split, but both Karrahbooo and Yachty kept quiet. Maybe the split was as amicable as they both said it was. A post by one of Karrahbooo’s fans, however, suggested otherwise. The fan, who goes by Twitter name Moon, claimed that she spoke with the rapper and learned there was much more to the split than we thought.
The fan posted a photo alongside Karrahbooo, and claimed the rapper came in to the restaurant where she worked. Things got juicy, though, when the fan claimed that Karrahbooo opened up about the true reason why she left Concrete Boys. “I asked her why she left,” the fan noted. “She immediately corrected me and said I didn’t leave they kicked me out.” Karrahbooo reportedly went on to lay the blame at the feet of Lil Yachty, who founded the group. “[She said] they were really mean to her and bullying her a lot. She doesn’t talk about it.”
The fan then did some reading between the lines, and inferred that there was some possible jealously on the part of Lil Yachty. “I believe it’s because her name was the biggest behind Yachty,” she wrote. “If we being real I only started listening to him again because of her… I told her she’ll do just fine without them, f*ck ’em.” This fan account is far cry from the diplomatic, albeit vague, statement that Lil Yachty made when Karrahbooo left Concrete Boys.
“I’mma say this sh*t one time,” he said on Istagram Live. “We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sh*t. I have nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career.” Karrahbooo has yet to comment on her feelings toward Lil Yachty and the rest of the Concrete Boys. That being said, she previously bumped heads with Yachty during an episode of the Safe Space podcast. Karrahbooo tried to defend her use of the N-word and Yachty proceeded to shut her down in front of the host. “That won’t happen,” he announced. “You shouldn’t say it.” It sounds like there’s more of the story to come.
Earlier this week, Juvenile was on a flight to Dallas when the rapper and his wife got into an argument with airplane staff. Reportedly, passengers were forced to switch aircraft, and Juvenile was informed that he had been downgraded from first class to coach. He filmed the confrontation, showing his wife questioning why he in particular was being asked to move while she was allowed to stay.
“Man, they trying to kick me off the plane, y’all,” he says in the clip. “They trying to kick me off from America first. They tried to take me out of the first class.” The argument continued, and Juvenile eventually decided to warn the staff of his influence.
“I’m a celebrity,” he explained. “I’m telling you this is going to be repercussions. It’s going be repercussions to this because I’m going to get off the plane, I’m going to get off the plane. I’m not going to let y’all disrespect me like that. I’m not going to let y’all choose me out. All the people on the plane and disrespect me. So I’m going to get off the plane.” Eventually, Juvenile left, but not without hitting the employees with a few choice words.
After the debacle, Hot Boy Turk decided to jump in, sharing the clip of the confrontation on Instagram. “@americanair we have a problem That ya’ll have to fix with my brother @juviethegreat He got a Show tonight in #backdatazzup25 #Dallas #BTAU25 #IFlyDelta #GetSomeTVs,” he captioned the post. Juvenile then took to Turk’s comments to ensure him that the spat didn’t completely ruin his travel plans.
