Jess Hilarious Joins “The Breakfast Club” Full-Time

Jess Hilarious has been revealed as the newest permanent co-host of The Breakfast Club. Hilarious became the show’s third permanent host a year after Angela Yee left the show to pursue other opportunities. “Ima put the f-ck on for my city. Specifically, West Baltimore,” Hilarious said during a press conference about the reveal before Christmas.

The news came at a major spike of interest for the show and Jess herself. The news that she was permanently joining the show came after her viral interview with Sexyy Red. It was an especially tense interview, with Red not making any secrets about her disdain for Jess. Despite Jess’ best attempts, she was never able to get Red to warm up to her.

Charlamagne Tha God Speaks On Pink Friday 2

Meanwhile, Jess’ new co-host, Charlamagne Tha God, recently gave his thoughts about the recent release of Pink Friday 2, the recent album release from Nicki Minaj. “I hate that this album didn’t have a bigger rollout. We knew it was coming out but it’s Nicki Minaj. Whoever she’s signed to…Nicki needed and deserved a bigger rollout. She got records on this album. Why wouldn’t a single come out? Why wouldn’t a big video come out?” Charlemagne said on The Breakfast Club. Later in the conversation, he accused Nicki’s label of not having enough of a plan for the release. He noted this was especially apparent when she had to move the release date due to ColleGrove 2.

Pink Friday 2 did have two singles preceding its release. However, both were released well before the album was either announced or its release date revealed. Furthermore, as Charlamagne said, the album is stacked with big-name features such as J. Cole, Drake, and Future. However, the only thing those tracks received before the album was controversy. Additionally, while the album was also preceded by the AI fan collaboration “Gag City”, Charlamagne is right in arguing that Pink Friday 2 got a surprisingly muted release.

Dr. Umar Goes After Vanessa Bryant For How She Is Spending Kobe Bryant’s Money

Controversial figure Dr. Umar went after Vanessa Bryant during his recent appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast. Umar accused Bryant of “not doing sh-t” to “uplift the Black community” in the ways that she has spent her late husband’s money in recent years. Umar pointed to a “sports initiative” that Bryant recently started with “six predominantly white colleges”. Umar’s anger came as a result of Bryant not “choosing a single HBCU”. Umar was referring to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. In September, the foundation announced partnerships with UConn, USC, Kentucky, Oregon, Duke, and LSU. Of note – UConn was seen as the frontrunner in the recruitment of Gigi Bryant before her death.

However, Umar was largely shouted down by the Joe Budden crew. One contributor argued that “there are plenty of angry Black wives who got a Black man’s money and didn’t do sh-t for the Black community”. As with many of Umar’s moments, it felt more like he was talking to be heard than actually having something to say.

Lakers To Add Kobe Bryant Statue In 2024

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Vanessa Bryant announced that her late husband would be receiving a statue at Crypto.com Arena. “On behalf of the Lakers, my daughters and me, I am so honored that, right here in the center of Los Angeles, in front of the place known as ‘The House that Kobe Built,’ we are going to unveil his statue so that his legacy can be celebrated forever,” Bryant said in her video announcement. Kobe will be the seventh Laker to be honored with a statue. The statue walk currently bears the likenesses of Elgin Baylor, Shaq, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, and Chick Hearn.

The Lakers said that the statue had been in development for some time. Furthermore, they noted that Kobe himself had been part of the initial design process. The team also said it would be the first in a “series of physical tributes” to the late star. “Kobe Bryant was one of the most extraordinary athletes of all time and one of the most iconic individuals in the history of Los Angeles,” said team owner Jeanie Buss. “There is no better place for Kobe to be honored with a statue than here, at the center of our city, where everyone can celebrate him and be inspired by his incredible achievements.”

Lil Nas X Launches New “Save Nas X” Website, Also Creates New Interactive Twitter Game

Lil Nas X is someone who is always looking to stir the pot up a bit. Overall, it has been a couple of years since we got an album from him. Of course, he came out with Montero which turned out to be a huge commercial success. He was able to prove that he is not a one-hit-wonder. However, he did create quite a bit of controversy thanks to his satanic imagery that had a lot of Christians upset. Since dropping that album, Nas X has mostly been quiet, but now, it seems as though he is in the midst of a return.

We say this because last night, it was discovered that the artist and Sony Music Entertainment launched a website called SaveNasX.com. On this website, there is a message as well as a timer that showcases how long it has been since the last album. “Has the DEVIL-WORSHIPPING pop-artist finally been sacrificed to HIS MASTER?,” the message reads. “WHY is he SECLUDING HIMSELF???? What is he PREPARING FOR? This site will answer ALL THESE QUESTIONS AND MORE!!!… We will find Montero, and WE WILL SAVE HIM BY RETURNING HIS HEART TO J.CHRIST’S LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Lil Nas X Has A Plan

In the Twitter post above, you can see that Nas X also launched a new Twitter account called @HeavenOrHellOnX. As the artist explains, this is an interactive game in which you play a poll and then eventually you get put in heaven or hell. Overall, it is a unique concept and quite a few people have participated already. This does make us wonder whether or not some new music is going to be dropping in the new year. It certainly would not surprise us given all of these recent moves. Hopefully, we find out sooner rather than later.

Ja Morant Seemingly Hits Gun Celebration During Grizzlies Win

Ja Morant has once again created controversy after he seemingly pulled a gun celebration against the Pelicans. After dropping a dunk, Morant appeared to fire off two imaginary guns before running back down the court. Of course, this caused a lot of outrage given that Morant is just four games into a season cut short by a gun-related suspension. However, the Grizzlies appeared to be a fan of the move, sharing the clip to the team’s official X account.

The win over the Pelicans marked the Grizzlies’ fourth consecutive win, meaning the team is 4-0 since Morant returned to the team. Morant had a game-high 31 points along with 7 assists. However, Morant was also tied for a game-high 6 turnovers with the Pelicans’ Zion Williamson.

Lil Wayne Taps Ja Morant To Be The Next “Face Of The NBA”

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne recently said he wants Morant to be the face of the NBA following the retirement of LeBron James. “To me I think the obvious answer is Ja,” Wayne said in the video below. “Because the NBA is entertainment. What I mean by that is there was always a Michael Jordan, just like, you know like God. You gonna watch these Atlanta Hawk games just to see what Dominique, just to see if he gonna get ’em one off. It’s not the first time that Wayne has spoken in support of Morant. “Do y’all know that boy? ‘Cause I don’t. Scott and Andrea Swift, the parents of Taylor Swift, were spotted mingling with Ed Kelce, the father of Travis Kelce, at the Chiefs’ game against Las Vegas over Christmas. The meeting was captured by a Chiefs fan who had their camera turned towards the Kelce family box at Arrowhead Stadium. However, Kelce’s mother Donna was not present as she was in Philadelphia to watch Jason Kelce.

It is believed that the Swift and Kelce families originally met when the Chiefs and Eagles played against one another earlier in the season. A big sticking point at the time was that Swift’s father is reportedly a massive Eagles fan. “What are we doing, Scott? You’re gonna let this man’s devilish good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? Ridiculous,” Jason teased on New Heights at the time.

Patrick Mahomes Calls Taylor Swift “Top Tier”

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes had a lot to say about Swift in a recent interview. The Chiefs QB called Swift “top tier” and said that Swift had quickly become part of the team after she began dating Travis Kelce. Furthermore, Mahomes said he’s enjoying seeing Swift bond with his wife Brittany. Swift and Kelce recently engaged in some pre-birthday shenanigans with the Mahomes. Last weekend, Swift was spotted getting a little foul-mouthed with the refs during the Chiefs’ game against the Patriots. The Chiefs ended a two-game skid with a 27-17 win over the hapless Patriots. However, there were so close calls and tight moments, leading to Swift’s animated reactions. Kansas City are next in action on Christmas Day when they host the Raiders. The Chiefs are 9-5 and have a two-game lead over the surging Denver Broncos, who are 7-7. The Chiefs have three games left on their schedule before the playoffs roll around.

50 Cent’s attempt to have a lawsuit filed by former drug dealer Cory “Ghost” Holland thrown out has failed. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Analisa Torres rejected 50’s motion for dismissal and plans to move forward with the legal dispute. Holland first sued the Power creator back in 2021, claiming that 50 stole his life story for the hit STARZ series. Jump forward two years, and Holland is attempting to bring 50 to court once again, this time for allegedly attempting to put a hit on him.

“It’s 50 Cent’s abilities to HIRE a HITMAN, due to a 150 Million Dollar Contract he secured through STARZ/LIONSGATE, that have created the FEAR and constant anxiety,” Holland said. “The hitmen 50 Cent hired, can KILL [me] and [my] family at any time and anywhere, once they are paid. So rather 50 Cent is in New York or Michigan or anywhere in America or Overseas, ‘ONCE HE PAYS THE HOMIES TO DO WHAT THEY DO BEST,’ quoting the defendant from the radio interview, the job can get done at any point after that.”

Holland also theorized that the federal government is helping protect 50 while also labeling him a “bully” due to his social media antics. From there, he claimed his family feels they are in danger. “[We] now live in FEAR every single second of day of these unknown and unidentifiable KILLERS showing up at any time/anywhere to carry out 50 Cent’s orders to intimidate and or to MURDER them, to eliminate the legal consequences of the lawsuits brought against him,” Holland continued. “[We] have no idea when the violence is coming, just prepared for when it’s does. However 50 Cent has the advantage, cause he controls what the HITMEN do, the contract is between him and the them, so all [we] can do is anticipate the INEVITABLE, every single second of the day.”

50 Cent And Producer Cookin Soul Turned Christmas Gangsta On “XMAS MASSACRE” Mixtape

The holiday albums were extra plentiful this season. Over the past week or so and even going back to early November, HNHH covered a good amount of Christmas-themed records. Artists such as GIVEON, Troy Ave, and Jim Jones were spreading their versions of how they make tapes like this. Erica Banks and Luh Tyler left some gifts in the stockings in the form of singles. We can also add 50 Cent to the nice list this year.

He and legendary producer, Cookin Soul, got an LP out just before Christmas Day. The duo put it out on all streaming platforms, including bandcamp as well. According to HipHopDX, other versions of this album included vocals from MF DOOM and A Tribe Called Quest. How 50 and Cookin got this done, was by using some of the G-Unit’s material from his mixtape phase.

Joe Budden Accuses Logic Of Lying About Being Suicidal

Joe Budden and Logic have had a well-known feud for some time. Although Logic tends to forgive and forget, Budden is someone who will continue to send shots if he feels it necessary to do so. Well, over the years, Budden has taken aim at Logic countless times. He even once told the rapper he was the worst of all time and that he should retire immediately. Overall, these harsh comments have added up, and now, Budden is getting to a much harsher place.

The retired rapper turned podcaster was recently on The Pivot Podcast where he got to speak to Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor. The conversation lasted about an hour, however, at one point, they talked Logic. Logic had previously said that Joe’s comments made him suicidal at times. When this got brought up, Budden didn’t react too kindly. In fact, he accused the artist of lying. It is a pretty massive accusation, although Budden did it so flippantly.

“Logic is full of s***. I don’t believe him,” Budden said. “You can’t know and you can’t prove it. But Logic is full of s***… Logic put out a song with mental health as the phone number – 1-800-whatever-the-f***-that-s***-was. Pandering b*llsh*t. Everything about Logic is pandery. So there’s really no way to ever tell what’s truthful and what’s not truthful. And since he said [he experienced suicidal thoughts] I try to take him off my list of people to speak about because I do have a heart. But I do think he’s full of s***.” Whether or not Logic responds, remains to be seen. Regardless, this is a pretty low blow, even for Budden’s standards.
