Lil Tecca has experienced impressive longevity in the rap game. Although many of his peers have come and gone, Tecca has remained relevant. Overall, a lot of this has to do with consistent releases and great songwriting. He knows how to make catchy songs, and that goes a long way in keeping fans engaged with your work. Moreover, he promotes his stuff on TikTok and he carries forth an aesthetic that people resonate with. Needless to say, he still has the recipe for success in 2023.

On Friday, Tecca will be dropping his new album TEC. Overall, this album will include two previously released singles, “500lbs” and “HVN ON EARTH.” Both of these tracks were praised upon release, and it has created hype for the new album. Since the release of the latter track, Teccas has been teasing a new song called “Dead Or Alive.” Fans have been showcasing interest in the track, and today, it finally arrived.

The song is yet another banger from Tecca, with some melodic production and the vocals to match. It’s in line with what we have already heard from Tecca this album cycle, albeit with a twist. The Alchemist, MIKE, & Wiki Gear Up For Collab Album With Lead Single “Mayors A Cop”

Beverly Hills, California producer, The Alchemist has been one of the busiest artists in the rap game all year long. In 2023 alone he put out four albums and now is up to eight singles in nine months. But, this should come as no surprise because his work ethic has been like this since he burst onto the scene back in the mid-2000s. The first project he released was with king of laid-back rap, Larry June. The Great Escape featured Big Sean, Action Bronson, Ty Dolla $ign, Boldy James and more. Then, On April 20, he teamed up with Domo Genisis for No Idols.

The grind continued, as just two months would pass before Flying High made its way to streaming. Finally, on the first day of September, The Elephant Man’s Bones The ALC Edition with Roc Marciano would be the most recent album. In between and after that, The Alchemist was still hopping on other albums and releasing more singles. Just last week, Vince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt joined him for the terrific track, “The Caliphate.” He also worked alongside frequent partner in crime, Westside Gunn, and Travis Scott. It was a surprise for many to see him land on such a massive mainstream release. He absolutely killed it on UTOPIA, with his instrumental input on “LOST FOREVER.”

All of this leads us to his latest single, “Mayors A Cop.” It features two New York rappers, MIKE and Wiki. Both love to rap on abstract beats and who better to collaborate with than The Alchemist? In fact, all three are dropping an album together which will be out on September 22. The title is Faith Is A Rock, and the producer announced this on his Instagram. According to Genius, this latest LP will have 10 tracks on it too. The Alchemist just does not know how to slow down.

Lil Gotit Puts Out Wavy New Single “Dr. Martin”

Alamo Records signee Lil Gotit is keeping up the pace with his steady drops of singles throughout 2023. The streak began right at the start of the new year with a song to remind everyone he is still a rising star in the rap game with “Ain’t No Falling Off.” Then, the Georgia artist put out another offering on March 31, called “Drippin in Spider.” Just a few weeks later on April 20, “Lustin would be released, making it his third solo single in a row. Gotit was relentless, as only eight days would pass before the next track, “Feelin Myself.”

It is safe to say he was feeling himself because it seemed like nothing was going to slow down his tremendous production. Two more songs, “Hell Yeah” and “250” would be joint cuts. The first of the two featured Lil PJ and Bslime. The latter saw Gotit recruit Canadian producer Money Music.

After that, three more would come out in the span of four months. However, none of these tracks, including this newest one, “Dr. Martin,” are a part of an album release yet. His last full-length was The Cheater, which came out in 2022. His Instagram page is also pretty empty, with him promoting “Dr. Martin” about a week ago. He seems to be content with this formula as it has been working for him with fans enjoying this newest single.

Brent Faiyaz Cannot Seem To Leave A Certain Lover On “WY@”

Brent Faiyaz is currently on his F*CK The World It’s A Wasteland tour that began back on July 16 in Washington D.C. The tour is celebrating his two latest album releases F*** The World and WASTELAND, which came out in 2020 and 2022. The latter is the most ambitious project Faiyaz has put forth so far and many continue to enjoy it a year later. Because of that success and his world tour the R&B singer has maybe felt little need to unleash new material.

However, Faiyaz has still been dropping a single here and there throughout 2023. “ALL MINE,” one of the more popular tracks on WASTELAND, got a Jersey club remix near the turn of the new year. Following that, he and EDM producer Marshmello teamed up for “Fell In Love.” Then, maybe his best single of the year, “Moment Of Your Life” featuring Coco Jones, was put out back in late August. The two were a great duo, and hopefully, more songs from them come down the line. Now, this brings us to “WY@,” a new track about Faiyaz’s entanglement that is not good for him.

But, he cannot seem to release himself from the clutches of this vixen. The song also includes some vocals from a Latina singer who sings some very sexually charged passages. “I’m waiting for you with my legs open and my heart open, / I can still taste you in my mouth, / No one can make me shake like you.” Brent loves going back to this woman for what she provides but deep down he knows it is changing him for the worst. SZA & Jean Dawson To Drop New Track Together: Details

SZA is an artist who is on an incredible run right now, and it all dates back to last year. Firstly, she dropped S.O.S. near the end of the year, and it immediately broke records and hit number one on the charts. Secondly, the artist took advantage of the project’s success and immediately went on a world tour. From there, she has done features with some massive artists, including the likes of Travis Scott. Lastly, she came through with an acoustic version of “Snooze,” with Justin Bieber, and a feature on Drake’s “Slime You Out.”

With all of these factors in mind, some would argue that she has had the best calendar year in music. Overall, it would be hard to argue with that assessment. However, it seems like the singer is not done just yet. According to Our Generation Music, SZA will be teaming up with Jean Dawson for a new track that is set to come out on Friday, September 22nd. The song is called “No Szns” and the cover art for the track looks sensational.

For those who may not know, Jean Dawson is an artist who operates within various genres. Their genre-bending music has proven to be a huge hit amongst fans. There are elements of psych-rock and pop-punk in their tracks, and it always leads to some amazing bangers. However, it remains to be seen how Dawson and SZA will be able to merge their styles together. If there is one thing for certain here, it’s that the song is going to sound incredible.

This Friday will prove to be a great one for music. Doja Cat is dropping her new album Scarlet, and even Lil Tecca will be dropping. Sango And Masego Are A Nice Pairing On “Masego’s Interlude”

Washington-born hip-hop producer and record maker Sango is back with a quickie featuring another producer, Masego. Masego can also sing, which is why he is in Sango’s song, “Masego’s Interlude.” This all sounds like a mouthful, but Sango produced the track, and features Masego’s glistening vocals. It is unfortunate that this is only an interlude because this little teaser is a nice listen. If you check out Sango’s Instagram, you will see that this single is leading off for his upcoming album.

We do not have any word on the project’s title, but what we can tell you is that we are excited about it. Both artists are tremendous producers, both being behind some big hits and just overall solid tracks. For example, Sango is on records such as “In My Room” with Frank Ocean, “The Sequence” with Bryson Tiller, and more. On the other side, Masego is right there with him.

SCY Jimm Brings On Fellow Florida Rapper BLP Kosher For “Ain’t Original

Just over a month ago, Jewish Florida rapper BLP Kosher put out his debut project, Bars Mitzvah. His eclectic musical style and physical appearance will either get your interest or have you scratching your head. However, there is no denying the rapper has his own style that is working, as he and SCY Jimm look to break through in a crowded rap scene in Florida. The two combine their talents on SCY’s newest single, “Ain’t Original.”

SCY is another artist we have not had the opportunity to cover at HNHH. Here is a little background info on one of the East Coast’s many rising talents. According to Genius, his legal name is Jimnirable Ke’Shawn Curry III. He was born on June 12, 2000, and is from Bunnell, Florida. His musical venture began by releasing freestyles on social media at age 14.

Genius also says that Jimm started to gain a following in late 2021 after releasing “Dead Guys” and “Rolling 60’s.” Both are collaborations on his 2021 project, Last Call. EKKSTACY And Trippie Redd Fight Right At Home Together Talking About Their “Problems”

At HNHH we are always excited when we get the opportunity to cover a brand new artist. Today is one of those days, as we get to finally introduce a soon-to-be mainstay on the site, EKKSTACY. The reason we are talking about him is because he has just put out a brand new single, “problems.” It features heavyweight emo rapper and singer, Trippie Redd. Additionally, from what we know, EKKSTACY has not been featured on other rappers’ songs or albums, so this is a first for him.

The track is just over two minutes long and features a simple song structure formula. A chorus and two verses, one from each artist. This is EKKSTACY’s first new piece of music in over a year. It comes after his album from last year, misery, a ten-track listen featuring one of his bigger songs, “im so happy.” He also has his debut project, NEGATIVE, which came out in 2021. This effort got fans to take notice of the Canadian post-punk and indie rock singer.
