Tobi Lou and FARADA are a duo you might not know, but they are one you will want to continue to hear from. The Nigerian-born and Chicago-raised rapper is a dynamic and multi-talented artist. He can spit some goofy and playful bars but also sing some heartfelt lyrics. On top of that, you have FARADA’s wavy, R&B, and trappy beats that will have you floating on a cloud. You can trace their works together back to earlier this year.

They already have two full projects together in just nine months. The first offering came out on March 31 and it was called, Baggy Weather (Mini Version). Following that was ‘Decent released back on June 30. While those were straightforward outputs, the last handful is a little more unconventional. It all started with tobi lou and FARADA’s single “Fee.” Since then, they have gone on to add new tracks over the past month.

The man responsible for so many R&B hits in the early 2000s is back with a new collaboration single for 2023. The Asheville, North Carolina native, Jermaine Dupri, is back with a new special guest. He is more known for his work behind the scenes when it comes to crafting songs, but Dupri still has his own solo catalog. However, it has remained dormant since the year 2001. Before this year, he only had two albums released on streaming.

Firstly, Life In 1472 (The Original Soundtrack) churned out some classics such as “Money Ain’t a Thang,” which featured Jay-Z. Then, fans would have to wait around two years for his next effort, Instructions. That boasted “Welcome To Atlanta” with Ludacris. That would be the last we would hear from Dupri on the solo side of things, though. That is, until 22 long years passed by. For Motivational Use Only, Vol. 1 was put out back in April and it was a collab album with Curren$y.

Money Man Quickly Follows Up “Red Eye” With New Project “Catch Me If You Can”

New York-bred and Georgia-raised rapper, Money Man, is one of the hardest-working artists in the game. Some people might frown upon musicians who put out too much material. However, there is a crowd that will always be in demand for a continuous output of music. Money Man has the latter of those fans and that is why he is already back with another full-length project.

His last effort was put out on March 17 and that was titled, Red Eye. It was a 15-song, 34-minute-long offering with three features. Babyface Ray, Peezy, and Juney Knotzz were placed on the sparing list of guests. However, this is nothing new for Money Man. For the most part, the melodic trap rapper likes to allow his voice and presence to shine on his albums. That is the case here with his second LP of the year.

Catch Me If You Can only sees BC Marse land on this tracklist. Interestingly, there were no lead singles to this release either. The founder of the music group Freebandz signed Doe Boy in 2019. Since then, the trap icon has taken him under his wing and he has produced some hits over the past couple of years.

He will be one of the many guests on the sequel to Gunn’s 2020 release, Pray for Paris. Furthermore, his solo output has also been high. Streetz will be dropping another album at some point before the end of the year. It will be a part of his Noise Kandy series, with the fifth installment coming out next. Streetz’s lead single, “Hell Backwards,” just last Friday (September 15).

Polo G Gifts $10k To The Entire Cast Of One Of His Music Videos

Last month, Polo G released a deeply emotional new music video. It was for his single “Barely Holdin’ On” which has already racked up 16 million streams on Spotify. The video itself has over 7 million views in just over a month since its release. Now Polo is telling the story of how he shared the success of the video with everyone who appeared in it. According to People, he surprised the cast of the video with $10k gifts for each of them after shooting wrapped.

“It was an emotional roller coaster for many. Nobody was expecting to get the cash at the end. It was a huge surprise and everyone was in complete denial!” the video’s director explained. “Polo was very generous and wanted to make sure he could thank each and every person — he expressed his gratitude multiple times and gave them all the cash at the end. It was extremely nice and heartwarming of him,” he explains. Given the vulnerable nature of the video, it was a nice present from Polo G to those that starred in it. Last month, Polo G’s house was raided by police. The development surprised many, but it was followed up by an even more shocking development. While he was initially charged with illegal possession of a weapon after the raid on his house, both he and his brother were eventually handed down charges of kidnapping, assault, and robbery.

Following the arrest, Polo G let friends know that his album was being delayed. It was originally scheduled to be released this month, but the project was delayed indefinitely. While Polo didn’t specifically mention his arrest as the reason for the delay he did mention that he had to shift his focus onto getting other things in order first.
