We have another newcomer to the HNHH website! Welcome in multi-talented artist and rapper, McKinley Dixon. He was born on October 28, 1995, in Annapolis, Maryland. A happy belated 28th birthday to him, Dixon went to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. He has been releasing music to streaming since early 2018, in January to be exact.

Listen To “Run, Run, Run” From McKinley Dixon And Blu

He grabs a high-profile underground lyrical legend, Blu. The track has a deep meaning to it, something that is a theme in McKinley’s music. According to the Genius annotation, it “is a bittersweet reminiscence on a boyhood spent running the streets. Dixon’s memories of running as a kid takes on two very distinct and opposing meanings. Sometimes he spent days running toward fun and adventure and other days he was running away from the sound of gunfire and trouble.”

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new version of McKinley Dixon’s song, “Run, Run, Run,” with Blu? Do you prefer the original or the new rendition? Is this your favorite track from Dixon’s last album, Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Apollo Brown And Joell Ortiz Are All “About It,” New Album Also On The Way

Detroit and Brooklyn’s underground legends are joining forces once again. Apollo Brown and Joell Ortiz are very familiar with each other, making for a flawless return with a brand-new cut. This time, it looks to be appearing on a forthcoming LP. The last point at which we heard something from the East Coast duo came back on November 19, 2021. Both we on the track “Bobby Bonilla.” That was on Apollo and Stalley’s collaborative tape, Blacklight. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg for these two. Joell and Brown have a full LP from 2018 called Mona Lisa.

It was a cutthroat 11-song record released back on October 26, almost five years ago to the day. It was a tight 36-minute listen with just two features from Royce da 5’9″ and DJ Los. The latter landed on “Grace of God” and Royce was a part of Timberlan’d Up.” Now, it looks like Joell and Brown are ready to revive their work with an update to this project very soon.

Lucy Daye Drops A Sexy, Slow-Mo Jam With “That’s You”

There are tons of incredible voices in the R&B genre. Unfortunately for Lucky Daye, most people are not hip to his blends of throwback and contemporary sounds. Well, now is your chance to finally give the Louisiana native’s music a try. He is back with a brand-new single, “That’s You.” It has been quite a while since he has put out a new song that is separate from soundtracks or features. The last time Lucky put out a true track that had no connection to anyone or anything was back on February 18, 2022, with the remix version of “NWA” with Lil Durk.

In the meantime, he has done some work for the latest Magic Mike movie with “Careful.” As for the most recent album, Lucky Daye released the deluxe verison of his 2022 album, Candydrip. That was nominated for the “Best R&B Album” at the 2023 Grammy Awards. With all of that success backing him, hopefully, he will be nearing the release of another album. He may be on pace to do that now with this new song.

Listen To “That’s You” From Lucky Daye

Lucky Daye had some ties with the group Silk Sonic, which features the talents of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. Namely with the making of the duo’s highly-successful LP, An Evening With Silk Sonic. That is what most likely led to “That’s You.” It has a very similar sexy vibe and Bruno even has a major hand in the production. Lucky might have another hit with this one.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song from Lucky Daye, “That’s You?” Is this the best song that Lucky has ever put out? Are we bound to get a new album soon? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Kevin Abstract Shares Yet Another Tease Of His Upcoming Solo Album

Kevin Abstract is gearing up to make his first post-Brockhampton move as a solo artist. While he already has a good bit of solo material under his belt, for the first time since the rap group called it quits last year he’s returning to his own work. So far the the singles have embraced his early DIY style with an aesthetic that’s more influenced by indie and punk. He’s kept his fans fed as well. The first single for the album “Blanket” dropped in the first week of October. Since then Abstract has shared three more singles, culminating in “Madonna” earlier today.

The track once again sees Kevin Abstract taking an indie pop route. The instrumental features acoustic guitar and rustic percussion while Kevin’s vocals are pitched up for much of the song. The song is generally quite uplifting, as much of his new material has been. The artwork once again keeps with the theme of felt monsters that has run through all of his new singles. This newest artwork features all three of the monsters that appeared on previous covers. Listen to the entire new single below.

Kevin Abstract Sings To A Girl Who “Thinks She’s Madonna”

Kevin Abstract’s new album BLANKET is expected to drop later this week. Technically, it’s his first solo album since 2019’s Arizona Baby. Though many Brockhampton fans consider the group’s penultimate project The Family to be a Kevin solo album in disguise.

Blanket is Abstract’s 4th studio album following Arizona Baby as well as his breakout 2016 project American Boyfriend and his 2014 project MTV1987. He isn’t the only Brockhampton alum releasing music individually. Former members Ameer Vann and Merlyn Wood recently released a joint mixtape. 50 Cent Has A New Album On The Way

During a recent interview with Evropa 2, 50 Cent confirmed that he plans to drop another record once he’s wrapped up his Final Lap tour. The hitmaker’s been making his way around the world since July of this year, and is currently on the European leg of the tour. For now, he says he’s focused on making his shows the best they can be. Fif notes, however, that fans can look forward to new music from him sometime in the near future.

50 Cent told the outlet that when he’s not traveling around the world for tour, he’s in the studio cooking up new material for fans. He went on to compare his life after tour to Eminem’s, noting how the rapper doesn’t perform very often, though he still drops music. “When I’m not moving around and I’m not touring and doing things, it’s going to permit me to focus on creating music,” he explained. “You’ll get a little more of what you get from Dr. Dre and Eminem from me at that point.”

Doja Cat And Doechii Share First Look At Their Upcoming Collaboration

Earlier this year, Doja Cat released her new album, Scarlet. It performed pretty well on the charts debuting in the top 5 of the Billboard 200. It also spawned one of Doja’s biggest hits of the past few years. “Paint The Town Red” has spent three non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Hot 100. It’s spent the past two weeks at number two on the chart being held off by Taylor Swift’s 2019 deep-cut turned smash hit “Cruel Summer.” Taylor is once again expected to top the charts next week with her song “Slut!.”

But Doja Cat is already looking ahead to future new music. Last night she began her Scarlet tour taking the album and many of her past favorites on the road. The theatrical performance got a lot of fans online talking but one moment in particular had them particularly excited. Doja and her tour opener Doechii showed off a teaser trailer of sorts. The clip ends with a preview of a new song the two collaborated on. While they didn’t confirm any plans for its release, that didn’t stop fans from buzzing about it online. Check out the entire clip below.

A number of shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and accessories went live on the webstore earlier this week.

Last month, Doja Cat stopped by one of the most famous interview sets of the internet age. She sat down to answer questions and enjoy some spicy wings on an episode of Hot Ones. Joyner Lucas Drops His Seventh Track From “Not Now, I’m Busy” With “24 Hours To Live”

Joyner Lucas believe it or not is a bit of a controversial figure in rap. Some think he is one of the best lyricists, while others believe he bites off of others. In addition to those divisive opinions, he also sided with his close friend and collaborator, Chris Brown. When the troubled R&B star got into a little back and forth with Tinashe a little bit ago, Joyner defended him. He was tired of all the slander being tossed around the Virginia singer’s name.

People looked at him sideways a little bit for backing someone who has a bad history with women. Not to pile on, but another thing that some hold against Joyner and his music career is how much he shares from his upcoming projects. He did this in 2020 with ADHD and is doing it now with Not Now, I’m Busy. Not too long ago, he put out the seventh single for it with “24 Hours to live.”

Listen To “24 Hours To Live” From Joyner Lucas

The track asks the question about what you would do with your life if you had just one more day on Earth. It is a cool concept, but the way Joyner approaches it is sort of boring and predictable. Someone under his Instagram post about the song summed it up perfectly. “The music, the cadence the video, a lot of this was fire… just one thing…You got a terrible mindset if that’s what you would do for your last 24 hours… Nah… you can do better. Leave a real legacy. A true man, would not consider most of the things you said in this song. Shine brighter bro.”

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Joyner Lucas, “24 Hours to live?” Is this the best teaser from his upcoming album, Not Now, I’m Busy? Kodak Black Is Back With New Love Cut “2’CY”

Kodak Black remains one of the most consistent rappers in the game. When we say that, we mean how much he drops new material. How consistent he is in terms of how good he is, is up to the listener. His sound is not for everyone and this latest track might be another reason why he can be divisive. Most people seem to gravitate more toward his more aggressive tracks like “Super Gremlin” “ZEZE,” “No Flockin’,” and more.

This new track “2’CY” is more of a slower tune about Kodak wanting his love interest to see how good they can be together. It is also the third single after his last record, Pistolz & Pearlz. It was the sixth album and also his last release under Atlantic Records. Kodak inked a deal with Capitol Records near the end of 2022.

Listen To “2’CY” From Kodak Black

Since we are now three tracks deep past the May album, there is a chance another could be on the way. To fit the vibe of the lyrics that Kodak is laying down, the beat is more subdued. It almost has a Jersey club sound to it with the type of drum pattern it uses. While it is not something that is not going to sit well with most listeners, his fans are enjoying it so far. See what they are hyping up by checking it out for yourself above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Kodak Black, “2’CY?” Is this his best single post Pistolz & Pearlz? Do you think we have a new album on the way sometime soon?
