Gunna Promises His Next Album Will Be A Chart Topper

Gunna is gearing up to release a new project later this year and he’s been building up quite a bit of hype for it. The album is called One Of Wun, a name he confirmed last month alongside the reveal of the album cover. He’s already released two singles from the album. The first was called “Bittersweet” and it dropped back in February. The second came a month later, it’s called “Prada Dem” and featured Offset. The song has racked up more than 30 million streams on Spotify since it dropped.

But when TMZ caught up with him recently to talk about the album. He made some pretty significant claims about One Of Wun during the brief discussion. When asked about the album’s success he didn’t hold anything back. “The album One of Wun — it’s number one,” he claimed. He’s no stranger to number one albums, with Wunna and DS4Ever topping the Billboard 200 back in 2020 and 2022 respectively. His last album a Gift & a Curse dropped last year with very little promotion and still managed to land at number 3. Even more impressively it spawned one of the biggest hits of 2023 “fukumean.” Check out his full conversation with TMZ below.

Gunna has also appeared on two high-profile features this year. He teamed up with breakthrough singer Tyla, who was responsible for another one of the biggest hits of 2023 “Water.” The two also teamed up with Skillibeng for the song “Jump” which has racked up more than 42 million streams on Spotify already. Over the weekend, he teamed up with Normani for the song “1:59.” The singer and former fifth harmony member also has a highly-anticipated album coming out later this year, her long-awaited solo debut.

Danileigh Shows Her Emotions Discussing Why Her Music Isn’t Catching On

In a new video making the rounds online, Danileigh gets emotional discussing her music. The singer has been dropping singles and albums for a few years now. But it doesn’t appear to have caught on in the way she hoped. In the clip she discusses her controversial past and how it may have an impact on people streaming and promoting the music she releases today. The video wasn’t meant to be viewed by the public, so after it got out she took to Instagram to comment on the situation.

“I def take accountability for all of my past. I’m human and I’m growing. Won’t speak on it all because of legal reasons. But kno that I am sorry. Hope everyone has a good day. Not gonna read these comments cause ima be a big baby,” her comment reads. Her reaction to the situation did evoke some empathy from fans in the comments. “The way the internet cancelled Dani but uplifted Chrisean for actually doing what Dani was accused of is extremely weird” one reply reads. “The way yall have managed to successfully cancel her and her BD as a unit should be studied” another comment observes. DaniLeigh’s brother is currently in the thick of a long legal battle with DaBaby. It spawned from an alleged physical altercation. But it’s been caught up in the courts so much because he can’t find the rapper to serve him his papers. He reportedly even hired a private detective to try and find DaBaby, but he couldn’t. That led Dani’s brother to ask the judge if he can serve the rapper his papers via an ad in a local newspaper.

Adin Ross is easily one of the biggest streamers in the entire world. Overall, he changed the streaming game with his variety broadcasts. He would oftentimes have rappers come into his bedroom and do freestyles. There were some iconic moments, and although artists stopped messing with him for a while, they are back to doing so. Throughout 2024, Adin has had numerous massive artists make their way to his stream. While there have been some drawbacks with artists like Playboi Carti, for the most part, Adin has been having a good time.

Recently, Ross got to have 4batz on his stream. Overall, this was huge considering the rise that 4batz has been having as of late. His From The Block performance was massive, and he has since gained attention from both Drake and Kanye West. He also has a distinct look which has certainly helped him to navigate the music world. Now, however, he is gearing up to drop off his very first EP, and fans are more than excited to hear it. His recent appearance on Ross’s stream turned out to be a great time to promote himself.

Moneybagg Yo Announces New Album That’s Arriving Very Soon

Fans of Moneybagg Yo got a double whammy of good news today. Though his last mixtape Hard To Love dropped just last year and he’s appeared on two label compilations since then, he’s once again dropping new material soon. He took to Instagram to announce that he had a new album coming, which would be exciting enough on its own. But he also revealed that fans won’t have to wait long to hear the entire project because it’s dropping later this month.

“To Every Action There’s A Reaction, Timing Is Everything And Information Is Power Im In Raw Form Aint No Cut On This Shit This For My Day 1 Core Fan Base The Ones Who Was There Since The Beginning !!” the caption to his new Instagram post reads. The post also unveils the project album cover and reveals that it’s called SPEAK NOW. The project will drop in just a few weeks on May 24 and fans are already filling the comments with hype. In the comments, some fellow artists chime in. Rappers like Rob 49 and Blac Youngsta pop up, leading fans to believe that they could be making guest appearances on the album. That’s also the case with country music megastar Morgan Wallen who also pops up in the comments. Wallen has crossed over into hip-hop before with a pair of collaborations with Lil Durk under his belt. He also made an Instagram post earlier this year that led many fans to believe he was working on new music with Post Malone.

Moneybagg Yo just made a pretty memorable appearance on the new GloRilla mixtape. Tobi Lou & FARADA Bolster Their Chemistry With “Young Bopalopalous” EP

Chicago underground multi-hyphenate tobi lou has been steadily developing a close bond with producer FARADA. Over the last few months, they have become quite the dynamic duo, creating slightly left field contemporary R&B and pop rap cuts. They first began their creative journey together with their Baggy Weather (Mini Version) project just over a year ago. Then, just about three months later that same year they dropped ‘Decent with Chief Keef, Saba, Polo G and even Dame D.O.L.L.A (aka NBA star Damian Lillard). Now, FARADA and tobi lou are back in the lab once again with a three-track offering Young Bopalopalous.

This follows up their most recent effort Perish Blue (Fall Tour), which originally started out as Caturday. The latter has since been removed from streaming services. On Young Bopalopalous, tobi lou and FARADA are dropping more rap centric cuts this time around with trap rap instrumentals. The one that sticks out the most to us out of the trio though is “Hitchhiker.”

It is easily the more experimental of the bunch and it features a crazy addicting melody. The bouncy and spacey beat paired with tobi’s smooth delivery works wonders. His ability to create catchy and fun cuts like this are what make tobi lou such an interesting artist. Playboi Carti Seemingly Dissed Adin Ross & Kick In A Scrapped “Type Shit” Verse

A few months ago, Playboi Carti appeared on Adin Ross’ stream for all of 10 minutes. Overall, it was a pretty bad look for Carti, who barely said anything and walked away. Furthermore, it was revealed that Carti was paid $1 million for his appearance. He even demanded another $1 million, but Ross ended up holding down the fort. Ross is still upset at Carti for all of this, especially since Carti promised to be on Ross’ stream again, only to never actually follow through.

Now, it is being revealed that in a leaked verse from “Type Shit,” Carti was looking to diss Adin Ross and Kick’s founder Eddie. “I scammed a billionaire woah,” Carti says in the verse. This line did not make the final track, but it seems to be a very obvious reference to Eddie and how he was able to secure seven figures from him. Fans joked at the time that Carti was a scammer, and he is definitely playing into that trope with this. That said, one has to wonder why Carti decided not to drop this verse as is. Ultimately, it would have certainly caused a stir.

In the end, the song didn’t need the controversy. A collaboration between Future, Travis Scott, and Metro Boomin was always going to be a huge hit. We Don’t Trust You also happened to contain “Like That” and a plethora of other massive songs. Now, Carti fans are just waiting for him to drop his album, that was supposed to come out months ago. There is no telling when it will drop, and some are starting to get annoyed, and understandably so.

Lil Yachty was minding his business yesterday when he ended up getting dissed by Kendrick Lamar. Overall, the Yachty mention on “Euphoria” was short but to the point. Of course, plenty of other artists got it a whole lot worse. In fact, it was Drake who really got the worst of it as Kendrick delivered a six-minute onslaught that was both scathing and downright disrespectful. Although the Drake fans won’t admit it was a good song, the vast majority of hip-hop fans are in awe of what Kendrick did on the track.

Amidst the beef, some fans noticed a peculiar like coming from Lil Yachty’s account. Below, you can see that Yacthy liked a tweet suggesting that Kendrick Lamar cheats on his wife with white women. When this like was made public by the Twitter account @kurrco, Yachty decided to respond. “Shit was an accident lmao,” Yachty wrote. Overall, this is a bit hard to believe, and it is definitely a convenient excuse. Although, no one can actually prove that Yachty is lying, which makes it the perfect cover.

At the end of the day, Yachty is very good friends with Drake. Having said that, it is easy to see how he might be a little bit defensive about everything that is being said here. Regardless, there is no doubt that this feud is getting sent into overdrive. Drake is looking to drop a new diss record, and it should be interesting to see what kind of angle he goes with. As for Yachty, perhaps he can help Drake write a hook for the response.

YNW Melly Breaks Silence On Kendrick Lamar Drake Diss Name-Drop

YNW Melly is an artist who has been going through an unfortunate situation. Overall, fans know that Melly has been incarcerated for almost six whole years. During this time, he has been investigated and put on trial for allegedly killing two of his friends. Although the first go-round was a mistrial, Melly is supposed to be retried. This has subsequently led to all sorts of delays, and no one really knows whether or not there is going to be closure, anytime soon.

Interestingly enough, Melly was name-dropped on Kendrick Lamar’s new Drake diss, “Euphoria.” “Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m selfish, the crown is heavy/ I pray they my real friends but if not, I’m YNW Melly,” Kendrick raps on the song. It’s a great bar and it is probably one of the more memorable lines from the track. Having said that, it appears as though Melly was made aware of this name-drop. In fact, he made a statement to TMZ, which makes sense given the fact that Lamar’s line is implying a few things.

“Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite rappers so I feel honored and appalled … I’m a household name — just for the wrong shit!!!” Melly explained. It is certainly a valid way to feel given how things have shaken out here. That said, Kendrick’s bar has renewed discussions around Melly’s case and how some feel as though he has been mistreated. Drake got dissed today as Kendrick Lamar finally offered up his response to “Push Ups.” Overall, “Euphoria” is taking the world by storm in a big way. It is all that people want to talk about today. Every other story in the hip-hop world has been put on the backburner. Throughout the song, Kendrick takes some serious shots at Drake, and although some feel like the bars aren’t hitting, others believe this might be the greatest display of raw hate we have ever seen. Wherever you may stand on this topic, there is no doubt that things are getting interesting.

Since the release of the song, fans have been wondering whether or not Drake has heard it. Moreover, there are some who are contemplating whether or not Drizzy is going to drop the song anytime soon. Well, it seems as though Drizzy may have offered up a response. In the tweets below, you can see that Drake has been liking some Instagram posts. In one of these posts, the caption is simply, “That’s it?” Of course, this points towards Drake not being overly impressed with what K. Dot had to offer.

Following “Like That,” Drake dropped off “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Overall, both of these diss tracks were pretty harsh, and fans were curious of Lamar would even respond. With people like Kanye West and Rick Ross joining the fray, it felt like Kendrick wasn’t interested in the feud anymore. In fact, some were saying that it was a power play for Lamar to not even respond, and just stay silent.

Well, today, Kendrick decided to say “screw all that.” As many of you already know, he dropped off the song “Euphoria” which is a six-minute verbal assault that has left fans reeling. Some are already declaring Lamar the winner, and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. For now, however, fans are diving into some of the lyrics.
