French Montana Leaves Off Loaded “Mac & Cheese 5”

For all of the work that French Montana has put in throughout his nearly 20-year career, he does not get the love that most of that stature would. People critique him heavily for a lot of reasons. However, at the end of the day, you have to respect the hustle. Today the Moroccan rapper is back with his new mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5.

Fans will still find things to pick out that they do not like about French, such as his lyricism or flow game. But one thing can do very well is being able to reel in the big fish. Mac & Cheese 5 has the names in spades across this 21-song tracklist. Here you will find multiple Kanye West features, JID, Westside Gunn, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, and so many more.

Listen To Mac & Cheese 5 By French Montana

Out of the plethora of singles Montana dropped in 2023, only two of them made their way to Mac & Cheese 5. Funny enough, one of them, “Millionaire Row,” is actually from Meek Mill and Rick Ross’s collaborative tape, Too Good To Be True. “Okay” with Lil Baby and producer ATL Jacob is the second. This is also another big release for French because every song has an acapella, instrumental, sped up, and slowed down version. That means there are 126 total tracks!

What are your thoughts on Mac & Cheese 5 by French Montana? Is this the best entry in the series so far? Who had the strongest feature on the record? What songs are you gravitating toward the most? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding French Montana. Finally, stay with us for the most informative project posts throughout the week.

Nafe Smallz Elevates His Sound On “Ticket To The Moon”

For the past five years, Nafe Smallz has carved out his niche lane in the vast soundscape of the UK rap scene. He initially landed on our radar when he appeared on Skepta’s Ignorance Is Bliss single, “Greaze Mode.” His infectious syrupy melodies helped develop some serious earworm for hooks that ultimately gained him early favor in the UK and abroad. 2019’s Good Love boasted appearances from Toronto’s Tory Lanez and Lil Berete while he traded bars with stars like M Huncho, whom he later collaborated with on their joint mixtape, DNA, and UK vets like Chip.

The rapper continued to keep his momentum high year after year. Following the release of 2023’s High Profile, he doubled back with the release of Ticket To The Moon last week. The 15-song body of work finds Nafe Smallz refining his sound without being confined to it. He continues to explore his melodic prowess over spacey instrumentals that, at times, sound almost like they were crafted for Gunna. However, Smallz’s distinct delivery transforms these records into something else entirely. His strengths lie in his versatility, and he effectively draws from a variety of influences, whether Afrobeats and dancehall or trap, without skipping a beat.

Ticket To The Moon Features: Aitch, AJ Tracey & More

The new album also delivers a few rivetting collaborations, largely from UK mainstays. Aitch comes through with the assist on the ever-vibrant, “LANDSLIDE”; “BE A HOE (LUTIN TING)” merges Lancey Foux’s intergalactic flows with a hynotizing Memphis-influenced production. Then, AJ Tracey comes through on the rage-forward, “GEEKIN” and D-Block Europe’s Dirtbike LB trades bars with Nafe Smallz on “CALI X.” Other features include Toronto’s Northside Benji and Dange.

While it might be too early to consider this on any mid-year or year-end lists, Nafe Smallz’s consistency remains his strongest suit. Ticket To The Moon marks his seventh body of work in his arsenal and it remains a strong entry into his catalog that proves that there aren’t any limitations to his honeyed flows. Check out his new project above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment sections below.

G Herbo Reveals New Mixtape “Best Rapper Alive” On The Way

G Herbo has revealed to TMZ that he has a new mixtape on the way. “I got new music comin’, man. New mixtape. It’s called Best Rapper Alive. I gave it to y’all first, TMZ,” Herbo told the outlet. Herbo didn’t reveal much else about the project and its release date also remains a mystery.

However, the project appears to be a bounce back for the rapper after the legal mess he found himself in to start the year. Herbo was sentenced to three years probation on identity theft and fraud charges. This was seen as a massive win for Herbo’s team, especially as prosecutors had wanted him to spend at least a year behind bars. Are you excited about new music from Herbo? Let us know in the comments.

Ari Fletcher Rejects Notion That G Herbo “Made Her”

However, one person who may take issue with Herbo calling himself the best rapper alive is his ex, Ari Fletcher. Last year, Fletcher disputed the idea that her ex, G Herbo, “made her”. In a recent lengthy interview, Fletcher argued that her success was self-made and it didn’t matter who her ex was. The host agreed, arguing “They also say this about their exes, but why aren’t their other exes just as successful?” Furthermore, Fletcher argued that Herbo held her back. “If I had stayed…dead a—, I would not be the person I am today,” Fletcher said.

However, reactions were split online. “What does she do if he didn’t make her? She had a baby by a Chicago rapper,” one person argued. “Honestly the reason she gets this statement so much displays in this interview her arrogance she confuses with confidence. I left viewing this still asking what does she do again?” another concurred. Despite this, not everyone was against Fletcher. “And honestly Ari helped Herb become more successful. The way she use to promote his music NONSTOP and hype him is why I use to listen to his music. Check his album sales when he was with her vs after. IJS,” one supporter noted.

French Montana Recruits Kanye West & Westside Gunn For Track On “Mac & Cheese 5”

French Montana is gearing up to drop Mac & Cheese 5 later this week, and it looks like fans are in for some great collabs. The final installment of the series is due in on January 5, complete with verses from Lil Durk, Drake, Offset, Kodak Black, and more. He even managed to get Kanye West and Westside Gunn on the same song, “Where They At.”

Westside Gunn took to Twitter today to express his excitement, sharing the star-studded tracklist with followers. “New FRENCH MONTANA X WSG X KANYE WEST dropping tomorrow night !!!!!!!” he wrote. “Let’s kick the year off RIGHT #SUPERFLYGOD#Culture#ART.” Based on his comments section, fans, like the Griselda co-founder, can’t wait.

Westside Gunn Urges Fans To “Kick The Year Off Right”

As the project’s release date approaches, French Montana unveiled its cover art, which is a callback to his Moroccan roots. On the cover, he’s seen with the flag’s pentagram painted on his face, illuminated by red and green lights. He’s not the only one of the trio dropping new music either. Ye has also been hard at work with Ty Dolla Sign on their upcoming joint album, Vultures. The project has already seen various delays, however, and as of today no longer has a release date. It’s unclear exactly what the hold-up is, but according to his frequent collaborator Malik Yusef, he’s “redoing verses or making new ones.”

As for Westside Gunn, he just recently teamed up with The Alchemist and Conway the Machine to unveil their follow-up to Hall & Nash. Initially scrapped, the original version of Hall & Nash 2 was released exclusively on physical formats. The trio promises a new version of the mixtape later this year. What do you think of French Montana getting Ye and Westside Gunn on the same track? Are you looking forward to hearing his new mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

The Game, Big Hit & Hit-Boy Drop Dual Music Video For “Paisley Dreams / P Fiction”: Stream

The Game and father-son duo Big Hit and Hit-Boy just kicked off 2024 with a bang with their surprise nine-track EP, Paisley Dreams. The project emerged from a random studio session the trio held, ad ended up manifesting into much more than the one song they intended to complete. It’s a very lush and West Coast-inspired collection of songs, ranging from soulful boom-bap to hard-knocking Cali swings and some variation in between. There’s no better example of that than the duo of the dreamy and melancholy “Paisley Dreams” plus the gritty and boisterous “P Fiction,” for which this group dropped a dual music video. It switches from grayscale to full color as each MC spits through their verse on a night out on the town.

Furthermore, “Paisley Dreams” is a perfect example of the light, breezy, and almost comforting brand of boom-bap that Hit-Boy excels at. It’s a sound that he’s worked with a lot as of late, especially for his incredible run of albums with the one and only Nas. The Game and Big Hit deliver verses that range between luxurious, reflective, and boastful, and their deliveries give it that extra griminess. “P Fiction,” on the other hand, has a more traditional West Coast bounce that, although more aggressive, still fits with the gorgeous sample work. The two tracks work very well together as contrasted displays of these artists’ talents, and the rest of the mixtape follows a similar logic.

The Game, Hit-Boy & Big Hit Drop Surprise Mixtape “Paisley Dreams”: Stream

Happy New Year to all, and to welcome us into 2024, we have The Game and Big Hit’s new collaborative nine-track mixtape Paisley Dreams, produced by the latter’s son, the one and only Hit-Boy. Moreover, this new project follows the father-son duo’s recent collaborative album, which marks Big Hit’s debut full-length release. Not only that, but this new record was the product of an impromptu studio session which turned into a sharp and focused process. It released right on New Year’s Day 2024, and it’s a no-frills collection of hardened boom-bap and G-funk, soulful chops, vividly confident and boisterous bars, and excellent chemistry between its MCs. These artists also took to social media to share some revelations about Paisley Dreams.

“I pulled on @hitboy & @bighit 3 days ago to do 1 song,” The Game expressed on Instagram. “Stayed a few hours & ended up doing a 9 song tape that night. I’m not here to ask you to stream it or download it. I’m just a man, telling his fans a story about last night & the night before.” “The Game pulled up on me and Big Hit 4 days ago,” Hit-Boy wrote on his IG post about the release. “and i was thinking maybe we ask him to get on the ‘Bang Freestyle’ remix or something at MOST. But instead he locked in with us for the rest of the night and we made a 9 song album.” This follows an incredibly prolific run for the producer in 2023, as he dropped multiple albums including the finale of his Nas run, Magic 3.

Wiz Khalifa Brings Out His Fourth Tape Of The Year With “Decisions”

Wiz Khalifa’s work ethic is nearly unmatched in the hip-hop industry. The North Dakota-born rapper and singer has built out one of the most expansive discographies of anyone, let alone of the 2010s decade. All we have to do is take a look at this year to see what the hitmaker has been cooking up over the past 11 months. February 24 was the first release date for Wiz.

He came out with the 23-track album Star Power. Following that, we would only have to wait until June 14 for another minimally feature-packed LP in the form of See Ya. Then, up until today, Wiz’s latest release was the much more concise, Khali Sober. That was a fully solo effort, with it being written by only him as well.

Listen To Decisions By Wiz Khalifa

Before this new mixtape, Decisions, Khalifa also had a song that landed on the Good Burger 2 movie soundtrack. Leading up to the drop of this second full solo tape of the year, there was not much rollout for it. We got the lead single, which also happens to be the closer, in “Up the Ladder.” Then, out of nowhere practically, we now have Decisions. You get what you come to expect of Wiz at this point. However, it is a solid release. There’s a mixture of trap but also some more boom-bap-inspired beats as well.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new mixtape by Wiz Khalifa, Decisions? Where does this rank amongst the rest of his projects labeled as mixtapes? Is this the best tape he has put out in 2023? Which tracks are you gravitating toward right now? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Wiz Khalifa. JPEGMAFIA Re-Releases “The Ghost Pop Tape” Album In Original & Remastered Glory

JPEGMAFIA is one of the most creative, self-driven, skillful, and groundbreaking rappers, producers, performers, and sonic wizards in music today. While many readers may have first heard of him through his 2023 Danny Brown collab album, SCARING THE H*ES, he’s been releasing fantastic music for over a decade. Before we knew him as Peggy, he was Devon Hendryx, and around 2012 while he was living in Japan, he was in a dark headspace. Out of that struggle, but also incredible spirit and talent, he released The Ghost Pop Tape in 2013, which went unnoticed at the time of its release. Ten years later, though, it’s a fan-favorite amongst the Baltimore artist’s listener base, and he just re-released the project in its original form and remastered it almost entirely to celebrate its place in his catalog.

Moreover, JPEGMAFIA made it clear via social media that this is not meant to be taken as a new project or simple anniversary reissue to get cash, but as a treat to the fans who hold this among other LPs like… well, LP!. As such, this is the perfect chance for you to dive in if you haven’t already. Furthermore, it’s another wildly different example of his unique production approach that is lo-fi but nonetheless enveloping, atmospheric, and moodier than his more recent output. This takes more inspiration from R&B and vaporwave-style sounds and shows that the 34-year-old is just as good at subtlety as he is at larger-than-life bombast. Above all, only he could make The Ghost Pop Tape, and that idiosyncrasy is a rare feat in hip-hop these days.

Lil B’s Catalog Continues To Grow Catalog With “B-Unit”

Lil B continues to feed his fans more and more music. This time it is for his newest mixtape B-Unit. It comes off the heels of his June 2023 release B***h Mob tha Album which was 21 songs and over an hour long. Before that, he got more jazzy on Afriknatis.

The prolific rapper from Berkeley, California is a controversial figure in hip-hop and has been for quite some time. Furthermore, the “BasedGod curse” in sports also adds to the odd mystique of the soon-to-be 34-year-old rapper. With a style like none other, he is always going to be unpredictable. You can love him or hate him, but he will still pump out music.
