The Weeknd Reveals Exciting Details About His Upcoming Album “Hurry Up Tomorrow”

A new interview with Billboard Brazil has shed light on The Weeknd’s upcoming show in São Paulo, his love of his Brazilian fanbase, mental health, and much more. But one of the most exciting parts of the conversation was the details that he spread around the piece about his next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. This will not only close out Abel’s 2020s trilogy as the follow-up to After Hours and Dawn FM, but it will also apparently retire The Weeknd moniker as a creative project with one last hurrah. With all this excitement around this next full-length in mind, it’s no wonder that every little breadcrumb is leaving fans starving for more.

Furthermore, the first big detail to note is that The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow has a “central song,” according to Billboard. He apparently nicknamed it “Frankenstein” for how its sonic fusions didn’t take away from the essence of the record (although that might refer to HUT as a whole). The Canadian superstar reportedly composed it during his last São Paulo concert visit last October. Since then, he’s not only dropped a few collaborations, but his teases towards another Playboi Carti link-up and more have really energized fans’ excitement.

However, the most important revelation about Hurry Up Tomorrow was about the mind-state that The Weeknd created it in. “There is always pressure to surpass my last project,” he expressed. “Growth is important. Sometimes it may not be what people want to hear from me at the moment, but, when the body of work is complete, I hope they can appreciate what I have been trying to achieve. I have been working on this discography for a long time. It was all planned.”

Meanwhile, The Weeknd also spoke on his remarks about facing “the abyss” shortly after announcing this year’s Brazil visit. “It can mean many things,” he shared. “For me, it is something very specific,” he says in the interview, in a mysterious mood. “I faced it long enough. Most of the time, I overcame it. But I work on it every day. I hope that [my music] helps others face and overcome the abyss, too.” From what this all indicates, Hurry Up Tomorrow will be a deeply cathartic, vividly creative, and bittersweet experience. PARYTNEXTDOOR Reveals Exciting New Details About Drake Collab Album

The upcoming collaborative full-length from PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake took many fans by surprise, but it’s also what plenty of them have been manifesting hopefully for years now. Never mind all the beef stories surrounding The Boy right now: this team-up is a long-anticipated OVO affair that marks yet another shift in his career, albeit a lateral one. Regardless, we now have some limited but nonetheless exciting new information about the project courtesy of Party himself. He recently spoke with Awaiz Punjani in a brief video published on Tuesday (August 6), and let fans know exactly how much new material they should expect.

“The one we doing right now, all 15 we doing right now,” PARTYNEXTDOOR responded to a question about what his favorite Drake collab is. As such, we know that there will apparently be 15 tracks on this joint album, which is very promising for various reasons. 15 is a hefty and satisfying number of cuts, but it’s also not overbearing enough to where fans would be concerned by questions of bloat, quality control, or lack of focus. Also, considering how much respect and love they have for each other, their chemistry would make any number of records electric either way.

“I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you,” Aubrey Graham said during his surprise appearance at PND’s Toronto show on Friday (August 2). While neither artist has confirmed the release date for this team-up, Drizzy’s words indicate that it will be a fall or winter release, so there’s still a solid chance it would come out for the early winter of 2025. At this concert, the 6ix God also performed “Wah Gwan Delilah” for the first time.

But elsewhere, news of Drake’s collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR comes amid rumors that his other iconic partnerships are dwindling. For example, many fans believe that Lil Wayne is sending subtle hints that he’s not rocking with his Young Money heir anymore. Of course, that’s purely speculative, so unless either artist does something truly pointed and direct, we have no reason to assume that “The Motto” will age as poorly as cuts like “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” have. At least we definitely have this PND collab to look forward to.

Offset SET IT OFF TOUR: Everything You Need To Know

There is some riveting news coming from Offset’s camp today! We want to congratulate the Migos legend for announcing his first-ever solo tour! He will be taking his sophomore album, SET IT OFF, across the United States to 17 cities. The 32-year-old rapper hailing from Atlanta dropped the LP back in October of 2023. Offset put together a healthy 21-song tracklist that featured the likes of Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Young Nudy, Future, Cardi B, and more.

Live Nation is presenting this tour and it will begin on Sunday, March 10. The storied city of Philadelphia will set things off (pun intended) at The Filmore Philadelphia. Offset is going to stay in the East for half of the tour dates, before heading to Denver, Colorado on March 27. In the West, he will travel to locations such as L.A., San Francisco, Phoenix, and Dallas.

Wu-Tang Clan’s RPG Xbox Game Gets New Details: Report

Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming Shaolin video game from Brass Lion Entertainment will reportedly be “a third-person melee-oriented RPG complete with four-player co-op” for Xbox, according to new leaks reported from Insider Gaming. All nine members of the group will serve as playable characters. Additionally, Just Blaze will be helping with the soundtrack.

“Players can choose from four different weapons that all have different and unique play styles (single swords, dual swords, etc.),” the report reads. “Gathered loot and items all fit into the game’s central social hub, named the ‘Neighborhood.’ Here, players will be able to sell their loot, listen to music, and show off their unique fashion choices with one another.”

The new report on Wu-Tang Clan’s video game comes amid a big year for the group’s legacy. New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently declared November 9 in their honor, while they also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The Library of Congress deemed that classic album “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” enough for preservation in the National Recording Registry, last year. Speaking about the honor at the time, RZA remarked: “I won’t say I was surprised, I was thankful. Look — this part will sound egocentric — but during the creation, I knew we were making something special. And that there would be an audience for it. For me, it [the album] didn’t exist and it needed to exist.”

Lil Uzi Vert Shares New Details About “The Pink Tape”

Fans are hyped about The Pink Tape, the upcoming release from Lil Uzi Vert. Earlier this week, Uzi teased the cover album’s cover art and hinted at potential collaborations. It is believed that Playboi Carti and Ken Carlson will both feature on the album. Elsewhere, Uzi will be headlining at Kid Cudi’s Moon Man’s Landing 2023 event later this year.

The Pink Tape is Uzi’s first major release since 2020. During the first year of the pandemic, Uzi dropped Eternal Atake and Pluto x Baby Pluto, the latter being a collaborative album with Future. Eternal Atake spent two weeks at #1 in March while Pluto x Baby Pluto peaked at #2. Furthermore, Uzi has released two collaborative tracks this year – “I’m Not Human” featuring XXXTentacion and “Watch This” remixed by ArizonaTears. However, Uzi has now shared some more details about what fans can expect from The Pink Tape.

“The Pink Tape” New Details

Speaking on Instagram Live, Uzi gave more details about what fans can expect from The Pink Tape. In regards to collaborations, Uzi continued to tease a Playboi Carti track. “Not that many features but the features that everybody thinks I should have… basically, where I started at is where imma finish,” the rapper cryptically said. However, he did also confirm that a track produced by Ken Carlson would appear.

Furthermore, Uzi revealed that the album will feature 25 tracks, including “Just Wanna Rock” as well as two bonus tracks. Of these tracks, Uzi said were songs that “a lot of people love but didn’t really get to hear.” Additionally, Uzi pointed to a release in the next two weeks (other sources have reported that it will drop on June 30). Meanwhile, Uzi announced that the Pink Tape World Tour will begin “right after the summer,” which suggests fans can expect tour dates from around August onwards. Are you excited about The Pink Tape? Jay-Z’s Alleged Son Shares New Details About Rapper’s Relationship With His Late Mother

Earlier this week, it was reported that 30-year-old Rymir Satterthwaite is furthering his fight to obtain a paternity test from Jay-Z. The man, who claims to be the illegitimate son of the rapper, has been on this quest for a decade now, but Shawn Carter has managed to evade complying with the request. While Rymir’s mother, Wanda, unfortunately, passed away due to medical complications in 2019, he’s been able to unseal a signed affidavit from her and share it with DailyMail, telling the late woman’s story on her behalf.

The document in question dates back to February 2015 and contains claims from Wanda that she met Jay-Z as a teenager in New York. She was underage at the time, and he was 22. They spent a night together at his aunt’s apartment in Brooklyn, according to Mrs. Satterthwaite. At the time they did use protection, but it ultimately “broke,” resulting in a pregnancy. Though Rymir’s mother insisted on the 4:44 artist’s paternity until her dying day, attorneys for Carter have been denying all claims made by the family for the entire duration of their legal battle.

“I met Shawn Corey Carter in fall 1992. He identified himself as ‘Rock,’ through my friend Kaleesha Allen who is an eye witness,” Wanda wrote in her affidavit. “Mr. Carter and a friend came to Philadelphia to pick up both me and Kaleesha around the area of 24th and Bolton Street,” she added, noting that the father of three may not recognize her legal name, as she went by Carmel, or Precious at the time. “After talking, drinking, and dancing, my girlfriend went off to the room with Shawn’s friend, and I went with [him],” Mrs. Satterthwaite further recalled.

The documents provided by Rymir also contain details from Wanda about what Jay-Z was wearing during their meeting. Hov apparently took a trip back to Philly with his friend a few weeks later to see the girls but only found Satterthwaite, who refused to leave with the New Yorker at the time as she didn’t want to upset her mother. “I never saw him again until a year later on television, but still had no idea of his real name until later and did not know how to reach him.”
