Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, And The Alchemist Deliver “Hall & Nash 2: The Original Version”

Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, and The Alchemist are three artists who have tremendous chemistry with one another. Overall, they have worked together a lot in the past. One project they worked on was Hall & Nash 2. Unfortunately, this is a project that never truly saw a full release. Instead, it was one that was shelved while some songs came out, here and there. Well, now, the full project is finally out on streaming services. Below, you can find a nine-track stream of Hall & Nash 2: The Original Version.

Of course, as part of Griselda, Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine have done a lot of amazing work together. They have always had amazing chemistry that shines through on their projects. Furthermore, they also have a proven track record with Alc. When you put all of this together, you can imagine that Hall & Nash 2 is a delight to listen to. As you will see on this tracklist, there is only one feature outside of the three main artists. That feature is from ScHoolboy Q on the track “Fork In The Pot.”

Either way, we’re just happy to have this project on streaming now. Hopefully, we get more stuff out of the vault, in the future.

What do you think of this project? Is this something you have been waiting on for a while? Let us know, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Song Premiered On The Radio After “Everybody” Fails To Drop On Time

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have been telling fans that a new collaborative project is on the way. However, they have not been able to deliver on that promise so far. Instead, the album has been nowhere to be seen. Although we did get some listening parties, that has pretty much been it. This week, there was some sort of sign of hope as it was revealed that the track “Everybody” would finally hit streaming services. Of course, this is the same track that samples the Backstreet Boys.

Well, fans were pretty skeptical that it would be released. In the end, that skepticism proved to be well-founded. The song did not end up coming out, much to the chagrin of Ye’s remaining fans. However, it wasn’t all bad as a new song called “Unlock” was played by DJ Pharris on Power 92 Radio. You can hear a part of the track below, which features layered vocal samples, and Ty Dolla dominating most of the runtime. If you are a Fortnite fan, you might enjoy the Jonesy Salty Springs reference at the 1:40 mark.

New Kanye West x Ty Dolla

That said, based on some of the fan reactions, the song is not hitting like some people were hoping it would. After all, this is Kanye West we are talking about here. The standards for his music are very high, and this just doesn’t feel like it is entirely up to par. Only time will tell whether or not this is a track that is going to grow on people. After all, Ye is known to make massive changes to songs after they have been previewed. Perhaps the rest of the tracklist will be a bit stronger.

Let us know what you think of this new track, in the comments section below. Do you think this is up to the standards of Ye’s past work? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Childish Gambino’s New Album Arrives “Soon”

It’s been some time since fans have heard a full-length project from Childish Gambino, AKA Donald Glover. Based on his recent interview with TMZ, however, the wait shouldn’t be much longer. The outlet caught up with the artist as he made his way to his car from the Greenwich Hotel in New York today, and asked him what he has coming up. He took the opportunity to reveal that he has a new album in the works, though he didn’t unveil many more details of what supporters can expect.

As for when the project will arrive, the hitmaker simply said “soon.” While he’s yet to confirm an official release date, it’s safe to say that listeners can’t wait. His last full-length project, 3.15.20, dropped in March of 2020. Since then, he’s offered fans EPs for his shows Atlanta and Swarm, and more.

Childish Gambino’s New Project Is In The Works

The news is certainly exciting, but doesn’t come as a total surprise, as Glover confirmed in an interview this year that he doesn’t plan on retiring his musical alter ego any time soon. “I feel like it’ll be clear sooner rather than later,” he told Complex. “It’d be better for people to just tune in, I suppose. But I’m trying harder to not be cryptic. Tyler [The Creator] is always, like, ‘You’re so cryptic.’ But I’m like, ‘I’m really not.’ I just like suspense, I guess. I think it makes stuff better. But that’s just me.”

“I don’t think I’d ever stop, because of like… I always liked it because I liked it. I never did it because it was like, man, this is a good way to get put on or something. I like the feeling of it. I do this because I’m nice. In a certain way, I think that makes me old school,” he added. What do you think of Childish Gambino revealing that his new album is coming soon? Are you looking forward to hearing it? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Joe Blow And Larry June Drop Chill And Soul-Filled Track “Without You”

The state of California has been producing a lot of great albums from hip-hop artists in 2023. One of those that has just come out recently was Joe Blow’s Generational Trauma. It might get more buzz early next year, due to its late release. He hails from Oakland and has been keeping a steady career ever since the early 1980s. However, he has slipped through the cracks for HNHH. Our first time covering him was for this new project.

He might not be the most well-known MC from the West Coast, but that is no slight. Joe has had to deal with artists like Kendrick Lamar, YG, Snoop Dogg and so many others taking the spotlight. If you have not listened to any of his material he is great at crafting gangsta rap and laid-back cuts. One of the songs to put your ears to is “Without You.”

The feature list for this 13-song tracklist is filled to the brim with talent. One of them who finds their way here is Larry June. He and Blow do a great job matching the energy. The beat is very lowkey and soulful, especially with the vocal sample. Larry is also known for this style so it was a match made in heaven at the end of the day.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Without You,” by Joe Blow and Larry June? Is this the best track from Generational Trauma, why or why not? Does Larry have the best guest appearance on the album? Where does this project rank amongst the rest of Joe’s discography? Did Larry have one of the best productive years of his career in 2023? Joe Blow Is Dealing With “Generational Trauma” On New Album

We are happy to report we have another “new artist” to talk about here at HNHH. This artist has been putting out music for about 40 plus years now. Somehow we have not covered any of his material, until today. That would be Oakland, California native, Joe Blow.

He specializes in gangsta, West Coast, and now more contemporary hip-hop as well. Joe Blow is more on the underground side of the spectrum. However, he has worked some of the best in the business. For example, he was able to gather a great cast for his newest record, Generational Trauma.

Based on the title of the project, Blow is rapping very introspectively across it. “Thug Therapy” is one of the prime examples of well-written storytelling. He works alongside Mozzy, Benny The (Da) Butcher, Larry June, Freeway, Mista F.A.B., and more. You can check out Joe Blow’s first album in two years with the Apple Music and Spotify links above.

50 Cent And Producer Cookin Soul Turned Christmas Gangsta On “XMAS MASSACRE” Mixtape

The holiday albums were extra plentiful this season. Over the past week or so and even going back to early November, HNHH covered a good amount of Christmas-themed records. Artists such as GIVEON, Troy Ave, and Jim Jones were spreading their versions of how they make tapes like this. Erica Banks and Luh Tyler left some gifts in the stockings in the form of singles. We can also add 50 Cent to the nice list this year.

He and legendary producer, Cookin Soul, got an LP out just before Christmas Day. The duo put it out on all streaming platforms, including bandcamp as well. According to HipHopDX, other versions of this album included vocals from MF DOOM and A Tribe Called Quest. How 50 and Cookin got this done, was by using some of the G-Unit’s material from his mixtape phase.

Then, Cookin got to work by flipping classic Christmas bops and that is how XMAS MASSACRE was born. The beatmaster shared this caption to promote the album on Instagram. “The most gangsta Christmas album in history has arrived. Celebrate the holidays with your loved ones while listening to this mix of 50 Cent’s rapping over classic Christmas samples flipped by Cookin Soul.” He continues, “This project transports you to the golden era of G-Unit mixtapes that dominated the internet and the streets. Happy Holidays and best wishes to everyone. POW!” If you like you can check out the tape for yourself here.

M.I.A. Brings Great Writing To The Forefront On “AMEN”

The multi-faceted artist that is M.I.A. just came by with her brand-new LP, Bells Collection. The 16-track offering features material that only she can put forth. She recruited a ton of great producing talent from names like Skrillex, Cadenza, and more. However, it is all a little too good to be true.

We say that because the album is not on any conventional stream platform. Instead, it lands on M.I.A.’s website, ohmni.com. According to HYPEBEAST, there are rumors that she decided to go this route for the possibility of censorship due to some of the tracks titles and their political messaging. That would include a song like “FREE PALI” for example. One we want to focus on is “AMEN.”

One of the best qualities of this cut is the writing. You can what M.I.A. is talking about below. Additionally, the production is very rhythmic and danceable. The hook is also a standout moment as it is very catchy. The only way to hear what we are talking about is to check out the link in the second paragraph.

9th Wonder Drops Off A Plethora Of Beats On “Bladey Mae (Grandma’s Blades)”

9th Wonder might not be a part of the biggest hip-hop tracks of all time, but he is as good as anybody. He has done tremendous work for the best of the best. Those names include Kendrick Lamar, the late Mac Miller, JAY-Z, Rapsody, Nipsey Hussle, and so many more. In 2023, he has been very active.

His year began back in early March with the continuation of the Zion series. In fact, 9th Wonder put out two more entries, those being number eight and nine. He took a brief break from those albums to work alongside The Musalini on Don & Eye 2. This time, 9th returned on Christmas Day for a gargantuan record.

Bladey Mae (Grandma’s Blade) is a 55(!) track escapade that is all instrumental and some random vocal work. Interestingly, all of the song titles are numbers. It goes from 1 to 55 and with an album that long, you would think the runtime is astronomical. Contrarily, 9th Wonder’s album is just over 30 minutes. According to 9th Wonder, this appears to be a tribute album to his grandmother. “Bladey Mae #GrandmasBlades Love You, Grandma Beulah Mae Jarrett Douthit❤ The Beat Tape 57 Blades. She just came through with a very special collaborative effort for the holiday. According to Pitchfork, the tape is called Bells Collection. They also got a hold of the press release from M.I.A. Playboi Carti Uses Young Thug’s Tweet To Call Out “BS Music,” Fans Speculate He’s Talking About Lil Uzi Vert

Playboi Carti posted a screenshot of a Young Thug tweet on his Instagram Story, Monday, calling out an unnamed rapper for releasing “BS music.” With no further details, fans have turned to speculation to theorize who he’s throwing shots at. When DJ Akademiks posted the screenshot, fans brought up Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.

“Boy slow down dropping all that BS music,” Thug’s post reads. In other posts, Carti shared another screenshot of Camila Cabello on Facetime. He previously teased working with her on new music, earlier this month.

It’d be odd for Carti to be targeting Lil Uzi Vert and his new “Red Moon” single, considering that the rapper recently praised Carti’s new songs during an interview with TMZ. “I like the new Carti. Carti dropped two new songs,” Uzi told the outlet over the weekend. As for whether they’re on the new album, Uzi remarked: “I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t know. We got so much music. We got a million songs. I’d love to be on there though.” Uzi also teased retiring from music following the release of Luv Is Rage 3. “I love making music, but I don’t really want to make music like that anymore,” they explained, after confirming that it would be their final album.
