Tyler, The Creator Stuns With His Latest Opus, “Chromakopia”

Tyler, the Creator is one of the most beloved artists in hip-hop right now. Although his career started with some pretty polarizing work, his output since 2018 has been praised by critics and fans alike. From Flower Boy to IGOR to Call Me If You Get Lost, the California-based artist has proven that he can make phenomenal albums and songs. Overall, this had fans hyped up for a new project. On Monday, Tyler delivered that project with Chromakopia. Tyler delivered a few teasers of this album, including “NOID” which was a rock-infused epic that had shades of Black Sabbath and King Crimson.

This new project has only a few features and is 14 tracks long. Moreover, it could be a polarizing one given the new sounds Tyler is going for. However, the project just came out, so you can be sure that fans need some time to digest the music and make some enlightened assessments. Either way, this is a project that will likely be one of the biggest of the year. Tyler always manages to make Album of the Year contenders. However, it will be interesting to see how this stacks up against every other artist who dropped this year.

Let us know what you think of the new Tyler The Creator album Chromakopia, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this is Tyler’s best project to date? Cochise Is Fully Himself On First LP In Two Years “Why Always Me?”

Some people live life carefree tenfold. One of those rappers is Florida native Cochise and he makes that very clear in his loose and sometimes blatantly unserious songs. However, he’s not one to take his existence on this planet nor in the music industry for granted. In a recent interview with Hypebeast surrounding the release of his new album, WHY ALWAYS ME?, Cochise explains that he’s just happy to be doing what he loves and doing so by not conforming to any trends. “I don’t have all these collaborations or co-signs. But I’m still here. By the grace of God,” he explains. He adds that this mindset helped him come up with the title.

Furthermore, it ties into his goals for this first tape in two years. Indirectly, he tells any aspiring musicians the key to becoming successful under your own terms. “I’m not trying to please anybody. I’m focused on my circle. You gotta find your own fan base and keep working with them. Find that group and lock in.” He certainly sounds in his element on WHY ALWAYS ME? no matter sort of beat he hops on. The first two tracks especially sound like signature Cochise as he gets absolutely enveloped into the epic intro “HOOK MAN,” as well as the mind-melting “GOOGLE ME.” It’s a project that is here to have fun and be itself, and we think his fans will find that to be true as well.

Lil Durk Revealed His Album Release Date Just Moments Before His Arrest

Lil Durk has had a much more difficult October than most, and while he had some highs, it’s largely been a series of unfortunate lows. Many fans looked forward to the release of his new album Deep Thoughts about halfway through the month, especially after confusion surrounding a fake Love Songs 4 The Streets 3 tracklist that surfaced online. Sadly, the album faced a delay, but the Chicago rapper had updated fans yesterday (Thursday, October 24) on its status. He announced on Instagram that the project will release on November 22… Mere hours before his arrest. And so, the bad luck continued.

If you weren’t already aware, U.S. Marshals arrested Lil Durk in Florida and charged him with alleged murder-for-hire. They transported him to the Broward County Correctional Facility according to XXL and DJ Akademiks, a development that surged after a California indictment referenced him. The prosecution’s story goes that Smurk allegedly hired five men with ties to his OTF crew to carry out a hit on Quando Rondo. The alleged hit failed back in 2022, and instead, a shooting took the life of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.

Lil Durk Announced Deep Thoughts Release Date Hours Before Arrest

Still, it’s very unclear at press time just how deep Lil Durk is in these allegations, as we don’t know if he was the one who allegedly called the shot or if it’s just from leadership association with OTF. Reportedly, he faces the death penalty or life in prison if convicted, and authorities are holding him without bond. The Voice’s lawyers, Brian Bieber and Alek Ubieta, claim that he will appear before a federal Fort Lauderdale court later today (Friday, October 25). The five alleged OTF affiliates in the aforementioned indictment were also reportedly arrested on similar charges.

According to The Chicago Tribune, the five men face accusations of allegedly being promised “lucrative music opportunities” for the hit and using OTF-affiliated credit cards to purchase plane tickets to California and rental cars. The feud with Quando Rondo allegedly occurred due to King Von’s death in 2020. Lul Tim faced charges for this, but the court dropped that case in 2023 on claims of self-defense. No other suspects have emerged since concerning Von’s shooting. In addition, alleged court documents claim that an OTF member wore a wire to gather information for federal authorities after a roughly 12-year prison stint. With all this in mind, the release of Deep Thoughts seems even more complicated.

Kanye West Launches Pre-Orders For New Album “Bully,” But Fans Still Don’t Think It Will Drop

Kanye West album cycles can be an exhausting affair, mainly because we never know if or when an announced project will actually drop. So while a lot of fans are very excited for his next solo album, Bully, there’s also a lot of skepticism even when he’s asking for your money for it. Moreover, Ye just launched some pre-orders for the new record comprised of digital or vinyl versions for $20 each. In addition, he also put up some shirts for sale that depict the album cover for some and display a gothic-style text of its title in others. Do you believe it will come out or will this be another Yandhi situation, even if pre-orders are already live? In any case, if you’re interested, you can find them by clicking the “Via” link down below.

Nevertheless, there are actually a lot of theories floating around Kanye West right now that have nothing to do with his upcoming album Bully. One of these was his rumored divorce from Bianca Censori, but that speculation didn’t last long at all in the rumor mill. They popped out together on a couple of occasions after this gossip started flying about this, and a recently shared photoshoot online (date unclear) has fans thinking that they’re as strong as ever.

Kanye West Drops Bully Pre-Orders: See Replies For Reactions

Sadly, other Kanye West rumors are better characterized as allegations, as he’s been accused of alleged sexual assault. At press time, neither he nor his legal team have responded to these accusations publicly, and we’ve heard no reports of a court update in either case. The suit comes from a former assistant named Lauren Pisciotta, who alleges that the Chicago artist drugged and sexually assaulted her at a party. We’ll see if we witness a public resolution to these allegations or if they seek a more private settlement.

Folks like Dame Dash are defending Kanye West while we learn more of the veracity of these allegations, so take everything with a grain of salt. That’s kind of a blanket statement for everything going on in his career right now, whether it’s albums or his personal life. Also, the disappointment of the VULTURES series certainly doesn’t help. But it also sparks hope and speculation that this time will be different.

“MEGAN: ACT II” Is Megan Thee Stallion’s Most Entertaining Album Yet

Megan Thee Stallion did not take much time off. The rapper dropped her titular album, MEGAN, in June, and now she’s back with a sequel. The first MEGAN featured the number one single “HISS,” along with a varied roster of features. She held her own with UGK and GloRilla, to exemplify how varied. MEGAN: ACT II is a different affair, however. There are definitely varied sounds and features, as evidenced by a collab with BTS star RM. “Neva Play” proved Megan Thee Stallion was not a one trick pony (no pun intended), and MEGAN: ACT II reiterates this with a concise and punchy collection of songs.

To be clear, MEGAN: ACT II is sequel and a deluxe version of the original all in one. All the hits you loved from the first album are present, but the new songs are much more fun to discuss. “Number One Rule” has a menacing instrumental and a relentless flow from Megan. It sounds like something pulled out of the 8Ball & MJG playbook, and Megan does the sound justice. “Bourbon” has a freestyle feel to it, and it gives the rapper a chance to casually talk her talk. The biggest surprise, though, is the penultimate song, “Like a Freak.” Megan Thee Stallion spits over the beat to Far East Movement’s “Like a G6.” It’s the sort of obvious sample that’s bound to blow up on social media.

Let us know what you think of this brand new album, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Lil Uzi Vert Announces “Eternal Atake 2” Release Date

Lil Uzi Vert fans have been waiting for Eternal Atake 2 for years now. Fortunately, however, it looks like they won’t have to wait too much longer. Recently, the release date for the highly anticipated project was finally unveiled on iTunes and Apple Music. It’s slated for release on November 1 and will feature 16 total tracks, according to NFR Podcast.

Of course, this is only a few days away, and social media users can’t wait. While the release date reveal is certainly exciting, it doesn’t necessarily come as a huge surprise. Last night, Uzi dropped the album cover on Instagram, along with a mysterious album trailer. Their bios on Instagram and Twitter/X were also changed to “ALL WHITE ALL WHITE ALL WHITE.”

Eternal Atake 2 Is Slated For Release On November 1

Earlier this week, the cover art for all of Uzi’s streaming releases was also updated on Apple Music and iTunes, and now features the Eternal Atake 2 logo. This coincided with the release of “Uzi the Earthling! (The TV Theme),” a 30-second intro for a non-existent show, which features no rapping. This prompted speculation that the album would be dropping sooner rather than later, which appears to have been an accurate assumption.

The news also arrives shortly after Uzi was spotted filming the trailer for the album in New York City. It’s been rumored that they’ve been finished with Eternal Atake 2 for some time now and that it was initially supposed to drop this month before being pushed back. This is unconfirmed at the time of writing. What do you think of Lil Uzi Vert finally unveiling the release date of Eternal Atake 2? Is it closer than you expected it would be? Are you looking forward to hearing it when it finally drops on November 1? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lil Uzi Vert Drops “Eternal Atake 2” Artwork And Mysterious Album Trailer

Lil Uzi Vert’s new era is officially here. The rapper has hinted at something major around the corner, but the most optimistic fans could not have guessed we’d get information so soon. Uzi was seen filming a music video last week, and since then, we’ve gotten a teaser track and a logo that subtly appears on the artwork for all of Uzi’s streaming releases. They were obviously gearing up for something major, and on Thursday, we found out what. Lil Uzi Vert confirmed Eternal Atake 2 is coming, and they even released the artwork, along with a trailer.

The first sign that something was up was on Instagram. Lil Uzi Vert was active on the account for the first time in months. They even changed the link in the bio to read: “ALL WHITE ALL WHITE ALL WHITE.” The same phenomenon occurred on Twitter, which is a platform Uzi had been absent from for even longer. It build up hype to previously unforeseen heights, and then it culminated with Lil Uzi Vert’s post. The iconic emcee dropped the Eternal Atake 2 artwork. The artwork shares a purple color scheme with the original Eternal Atake, but it has a more ominous look. People with glowing eyes can be seen looking in different directions. A mysterious key floats in the middle of the frame.

The Eternal Atake logo, meanwhile, which evokes the infamous Heaven’s Gate cult, can be spotted in the left corner. Lil Uzi Vert has always leaned into extra-terrestrial imagery, especially when it came the first Eternal Atake, but they are really playing it for this rollout. The “ALL WHITE” description in the bio evokes the white sneakers that the Heaven’s Gate cult wore. Then there’s the white in the artwork for the teaser single, “Uzi the Earthling.” The single, which dropped a day before the official album announcement, is only 30 seconds in length. It does, however, fall right in line with the space age vibe.

In case all that wasn’t enough, Lil Uzi Vert blessed fans with an album trailer. The trailer is a minute in length, and provides some fascinating context for the album’s concept. The trailer claims that Uvi went missing on March 6, 2020, before revealing a purple-hued spaceship. We’re then guided on to the ship, where scientists appear to be wiping the rapper’s memory. Once the process is completed, Uzi is woken up and seemingly returned to Earth. We are in for one hell of a musical experience.

Tyler, The Creator Reveals Unique Release Time For “CHROMAKOPIA”

Tyler, The Creator marches to the beat of his own drum. The rapper/producer has never fallen in line with conventional sounds and music trends. It used to stem from a place of rebellion, but now Tyler is simply operating on a higher and specific level. The rollout for his upcoming album, CHROMAKOPIA, has been one of the most masterful in recent memory. He’s unveiled the title, the visuals, and the color scheme in the span of a week. Now, he’s breaking away from conventions when it comes to release date and time.

Tyler, The Creator already confirmed that CHROMAKOPIA is dropping on October 28. A Monday, which goes against the traditional rollout date of Friday. Tyler’s decision has turned lots of heads, but he made yet another bold announcement on Wednesday, when he revealed that the album would be dropping at 6 AM EST on a Monday! Fans everywhere will be waking up to brand new Tyler, The Creator music to start their week, instead of staying up late to end their week. It’s a bold strategy, but it will also help Tyler to stand out from the pack.

Tyler, The Creator Will Drop On A Monday Morning

Tyler, The Creator has managed the rare feat of generating lots of buzz with minimal information. Fans everywhere have scrambled to make sense of his new look, which includes a black-and-white scheme and a striking face mask. The lead single, “NOID,” pays tribute to Kanye West’s “Runaway” while setting up a seeming dystopian narrative surrounding Tyler’s new character. The precision, and the intentionality and the execution of the rollout so far has been undeniable.

Shortly before confirming the Monday morning release time, Tyler, The Creator unveiled plans for the CHROMAKOPIA world tour. The tour kicks off February 4, 2025, and will see the rapper go to Europe, Canada, Australia, and more. Lil Yachty and Paris Texas will serve as the opening acts. Tyler hasn’t yet revealed who will appear on CHROMAKOPIA (perhaps Yachty and Paris?), but given everything we’ve seen so far, we get the feeling he will reveal the features in a striking fashion.
