One person’s death that might have hit the hardest was the tragic loss of XXXTENTACION. It is crazy to think five years have passed by already. Every day music fans mourn for him and his family. His legacy is something that probably no hip-hop fan will ever forget. Some sort of justice was served back in April at least. Three men, Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams, were all sentenced to life in prison. Additionally, Robert Allen accepted a plea deal, testified, and was granted two years, but has 20 years of probation.

Any sort of information we can get about XXXTENTACION is always nice to see, especially when it relates to his personal life. According to XXL, his mother, Cleopatra Bernard, chatted with podcaster, Gary The Numbers Guy, for an interview that delved into the mind of XXX. Metro Boomin Blasts “Fake Mysterious” Artists, Believes They’re “Ruining The Game”

Metro Boomin is going to take it back to the old days soon, announcing via Twitter this weekend that he will start uploading regularly on his YouTube channel. If you weren’t aware, he used to upload vlogs, beat-making sessions, and a whole host of other engaging sneak peeks for his fans. But the Grammy-nominated producer took a fan’s praise a bit further than they probably intended. Moreover, one fan quote-tweeted his announcement praising his deviation from “mysterious” artists who barely engage with their listener base. Then, the St. Louis creative commented on this in a pretty interesting way.

“The fake mysterious s**t with artists is ruining the game!!!” Metro Boomin expressed on the social media platform. “Everybody too cool.” Furthermore, this is very curious because he’s either very close or has worked with artists that tend to eschew a lot of connection with their fans. In fact, it’s kind of ironic because some people might put Future in that camp, and they’re coming out with a collab album very soon. Regardless of how much you could scrutinize this and nitpick, it’s a sentiment that many people share, especially with artists like Frank Ocean, Playboi Carti, and many more that keep to themselves to the dismay of their anticipating fanbase.

However, the 30-year-old said “fake mysterious,” so it’s entirely possible that he thinks some artists can pull it off. Maybe he appreciates people who are legitimately off the grid, and referred to artists who act all low-key but really just want even more attention for it. For example, André 3000 decidedly falls into the former camp, and Metro Boomin recently clowned publications who believed him when he said that the Outkast legend played the flute on “Mask Off.” When it comes to others, though, he probably won’t be forgiving or appreciative enough to even give them a shoutout.

Meanwhile, another big example that Metro connected with recently that could fall into either “mysterious” camp is Kanye West. Many fans think that the beatsmith will appear on the rapper’s next album, but with the limbo state Ye’s releases and public image are in, it’s hard to believe until it actually comes out. Nevertheless, we’re looking forward to see what he drops on YouTube, which is a staunch rejection of the “fake mysterious artists” that won’t engage with their fans for whatever reason. DJ Khaled Claims He & Tyler, The Creator Are On Great Terms Despite Previous Beef

DJ Khaled and Tyler, The Creator infamously got into some beef back in 2019. Father Of Asahd and Igor came out the same week, and while most thought Khaled would win the sales war, it was Tyler who ended up victorious. Following the success of Igor, Khaled called Tyler “mysterious.” Furthermore, he said that his own music was played in cars and barbershops. Meanwhile, you couldn’t go outside and hear a single Tyler track. Overall, these were low blows that Tyler countered in full force.

During an interview with Hot 97, Tyler went off on Khaled, noting that losing the sales war really hurt the super producer. Tyler continued to take shots at Khaled here and there, although Khaled himself largely forgot the beef. Well, now it seems like things have been completely squashed. In a new interview with Jeff Ihaza of Rolling Stone, Khaled made the claim that he would love to work with Tyler. He even went so far as to say that the two are now on good terms with one another.

“He also tells me he’d like to work with Tems and, surprisingly, Tyler, the Creator, with whom he says he has a good rapport, despite a social media tussle when Father of Asahd was beaten out by Tyler’s Igor on the charts in 2019. (He says they chopped it up at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation brunch earlier this year.)” Ihaza wrote. It feels unlikely that such a collab would ever happen. However, it could certainly prove to be an interesting one.
