Perez Hilton Claims Diddy Paid Hotel $50K To Withhold Assault Footage

The revelations keep rolling in. The May 17 news cycle has been dominated by the CNN video of Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. The music mogul punches and kicks the singer is security footage that dates back to March 2016. Some fans are relieved that damning evidence against Diddy has finally been released, while others have questioned why it took nearly a decade to see the light of day. Perez Hilton claims to have information on this very valid question.

Hilton got on Instagram Live to address the Diddy footage, and shed light on why the public had never seen it before. “According to Cassie,” the celebrity blogger stated. “In the lawsuit that she filed last year against Diddy, she claims that Diddy paid the hotel to get that footage. He gave them $50K and problem solved. He was in possession of that footage.” Perez Hilton stated that the footage was confiscated by the government during the raid on Diddy’s homes in March 2024. It then made its way to CNN.

“What I believe happened was, in the recent raid of Diddy’s multiple properties, the government came into possession of that and somebody there leaked it,” Hilton added. The blogger went on to attack the people who helped to cover up Diddy’s crime. “Everybody at that hotel in Los Angeles should be held criminally responsible for this,” he asserted. “They had an obligation to report a crime and they didn’t. Shame on them.”

IHG Hotels, the chain Diddy and Cassie were staying at during the altercation, issued a statement. They told People Magazine that were not aware of what transpired with the Los Angeles staff. “This hotel is no longer under IHG management,” the statement read. “And we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.”

Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, also spoke to the outlet. He praised his client’s courage, and hoped it would lead to her seeing justice served. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” he noted.

Meek Mill Claims Black People Need Therapy Because Of Social Media

Meek Mill has had a rough few months. Things got started earlier this year when he released his new EP HEATHENISM. The 5-track EP features Future and Fivio Foreign but that didn’t help it perform well commercially. The project did underwhelming numbers by Meek’s standards, something that 50 Cent hasn’t let him live down in the months since. Though Meek did attempt to provide a defense for the poor sales saying that it was just a side project to conclude his record deal, many fans weren’t buying it.

Even more of the viral hate directed at Meek comes from his affiliation with Diddy. Back in February, an explosive lawsuit was filed against the rap mogul by one of his former collaborators Lil Rod. It features multiple references to other famous rappers like Yung Miami and of course, Meek Mill. That’s caused fans to dig up a decade’s worth of videos and photos of Meek hanging out with Diddy. Just earlier today Diddy’s situation got even worse when graphic video of him allegedly assaulting Cassie was leaked by CNN. Unsurprisingly, Meek took to social media today to talk about the damage that those very platforms have done to the black community. Check out what he had to say below.

The Diddy bombshell has taken over popular culture. Celebrities are coming out of the woodwork to voice their disgust over the footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. Other executives like Wack 100 have warned Diddy that he’s going to get what’s coming to him. Artists who worked under the Bad Boy mogul, like Aubrey O’Day, suggest that there are more horror stories to be revealed. Then there are the Stephen A Smiths of the world, who plainly state that Diddy’s career is done for.

Stephen A Smith addressed the Diddy footage on the May 17 taping of his show. He did not mince words. As far as he’s concerned, it’s a wrap. “I declare, right here,” he explained. “Over these digital airwaves of YouTube, that the career of Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, as we know it, it’s over.” Smith believes that the new footage that has surfaced is so damning that no amount of rehabilitation or rebranding can bring Diddy back. “This sh*t is over,” he elaborated. “It’s over in the worst possible way… One of the worst possible ways you can imagine.”

Stephen A Smith recounted the footage that was exclusively obtained by CNN, and the public outcry that has resulted. He then compared Diddy to the harrowing case of NFL star Ray Rice. “Remember Ray Rice? Remember what happened,” he asked the viewers. “Late 2014 when his girl was in the elevator and she either shoved him or hit him and then he check-left-hooked her? And hit her, and knocked her face into the bar inside the elevator? She hit her head to it and then she laid on the floor, unconscious? In the elevator, straight up, knocked out.” Smith then asserted that the Diddy footage is “worse.”

Smith’s opinion walks back previous comments he made about Diddy. During a March interview, the sports commentator claimed that Diddy would have an easier time mounting a comeback than Kanye West, who had been disgraced over numerous antisemitic remarks. He did, however, note that he did not have all the facts on the Diddy allegations. “If they charge him with something,” he qualified. “We can’t think like that. That’s a different ballgame.” Well, due to the footage, it is now a different ballgame.

During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Wiz Khalifa opened up about his incredibly close relationship with his mom in honor of Mother’s Day. While viewers were certainly touched by his praise for the woman who raised him, Peachy, many were also taken aback by just how close they actually are. During the interview, the rapper explained that while they enjoy spending time together doing typical mother-son activities, they also like to branch out. According to him, they even go to strip clubs together for some unexpected family bonding.

“Mother’s Day every day for my mom,” he tells Hudson in a clip from the interview. “Peachy’s a superstar. If you meet her, you’ll fall in love with her. Me and my mom do everything together. We go to the strip club together, we went to Mexico, we went to Coachella together. We do everything. That’s my dawg.”

The remains of Diddy’s public goodwill crumbled on May 17. Footage was released by CNN that showed the mogul beating up his former girlfriend, Cassie, in a hallway. There’s been a tidal wave of backlash as a result, with artists denouncing Diddy or reaffirming their dislike of the disgraced Bad Boy founder. Aubrey O’Day falls under the latter. The former Danity Kane singer took to social media to voice her support for Cassie, and to assure the public that the footage does not surprise her one bit.

O’Day made her stance against Diddy clear on X (formerly Twitter). She assured her followers that she her heart goes out to Cassie. She also noted that she has yet to fully divulge what she has witnessed with regards to Diddy’s behavior. “The picture is getting a lot more clear for you all I can imagine,” she wrote. “I’ll remind you that i haven’t spoken on my personal experience yet either. Prayers up for all his victims.”

Aubrey O’Day by no means wanted to take away from the case at hand. When one user voiced regret over not believing the singer’s claims earlier, O’Day reassured them. “Let’s focus on changing the system now,” she stated. “So no one has enough power to bury or discredit voices.” She went on to like tweets from other fans that supported these perspective. O’Day has spent years attempting to expose Diddy. She worked closely with the mogul when she was in the group Danity Kane, and made it clear that he was a terror behind closed doors. Though he was released shortly after it took a few days for the entire story to get cleared up. Early reports that he was hit with gun charges turned out to be true, but they were filed in error. The police department later admitted that Wave was charged as if he was a felon when he’s never actually been convicted of a crime.

He was in even more controversy just last week when he was called out online by Ari Lennox. The pair toured together and crowds repeatedly harassed Ari on stage while she was performing as the opening act. She took shots at Rod for not defending her from his crowds like other rappers in similar situations have in the past. Now he’s been caught up in days of drama surrounding the mother of his child after evidence of her allegedly cheating leaked online. Since then the drama has very much been unfolding in the public eye.

Now video is reportedly making the rounds of Rod arguing with his girlfriend about the incident. It’s unclear why he chose to film it but it took fans behind-the-scenes into some of the details of the couple’s relationship issues. That led to Rod previewing a song he’s been working on addressing the situation. His break-up anthem seems to be addressing the actual issues he’s dealing with as they happen. He hasn’t shared any more details on when the song might arrive since.

Whatever uncertainty people had about Diddy’s guilt in relation to the accusations that have been leveled, it has been squashed. Wack 100 is a music executive who has been in the industry almost almost as long as Diddy, and he didn’t mince any words when it came to his public reaction. He was horrified by what he saw.

Wack 100, real name Cash Jones, took to Instagram Live to air out his thoughts. “Diddy,” he says to the camera. “I just seen that video. You’s a b*tch a*s n**ga. This is not the first time Wack 100 has put Diddy on blast. He recently blew up the mogul’s spot on the Jason Lee Show. Wack 100 claimed that Diddy was bisexual and had relationships with several men in the industry, including Meek Mill. He attacked Diddy and Meek relentlessly over the past few months, leaving comments on both of their social media accounts. When Diddy’s house got raided in March, the music executive tweeted: “For Meek Mill’s sake I hope Diddy no Diddy got rid of those photos & tapes.”

He also theorized that Cassie’s lawsuit was an attempt at extortion, which has not aged well given the recent footage. Wack 100 thought the singer may have been trying to leverage her knowledge about Diddy’s sexual habits for $30 million, but it appears Wack 100 has changed his tune on the matter. MF DOOM Honored In Marvel’s First Dr. Doom Comic Since Rapper’s Passing

Every supervillain has an origin story, and across the history of comic books, there’s nothing like a good team-up. At a certain point in pop culture history, the inspiration that Dr. Doom gave the late great MF DOOM turned into a symbiotic presence, and there’s perhaps no better example of that than what released on Wednesday (May 15). Moreover, this week, Marvel Comics released the first issue of DOOM, a 2024 comic book series marking the villain’s first titular solo run since 2000 -– and thus, the first since Viktor Vaughn’s sudden and tragic passing in late 2020. On the issue’s first page, writers and illustrators Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene paid tribute to Metal Face’s memory with beautiful artwork of the universe beyond our atmosphere and one of his most legendary bars: “Living off borrowed time, the clock ticks faster” off of “Accordion.”

That track is the “opening” cut (after an intro) on one of MF DOOM’s most legendary projects: 2004’s Madvillainy collaborative album with producer Madlib. That LP, in addition to being a staple of underground hip-hop and pretty much all of rap at this point, was recently certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) two decades after its release. Much like Victor Von Doom himself, the enduring spirit of DOOM continues to inspire new generations and energize older ones. In fact, the synopsis for this new comic run kind of lines up, unsurprisingly, with Daniel Dumile’s own missions to save rap.

“IN THE NEAR FUTURE… DOOM ALONE MUST SAVE THE MARVEL UNIVERSE!” it reads. “Legendary creators Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene send Doctor Doom on a journey unlike any he has undertaken before! With Valeria Richards at his side, Doom goes on a quest to harness more power than any human has ever wielded before in order to try to stop Galactus from bringing about the death of the universe!” Despite some controversies surrounding former label manager Egon over allegedly stealing MF DOOM’s notebooks, it’s clear that all the souls he touched on this Earth want to keep this will alive.

Meanwhile, hip-hop continues to mourn and celebrate MF DOOM at every turn, such as a recent story of an alleged freestyle session with Nas. Gems like these will likely continue to emerge over the years. Through this new comic run, it’s heartening to see a company as massive as Marvel Comics pay tribute to a true fan and supervillain. Today, Diddy has been making headlines after CNN exclusively obtained hotel security footage that allegedly shows him physically assaulting his ex, Cassie. It appears to corroborate some of the accusations Cassie made against the Bad Boy Records founder in her now-settled lawsuit against him. The disturbing footage is now circulating online, with countless social media users and peers weighing in. Of course, this latest development has also led to the resurfacing of some previous unrelated allegations against Diddy, including one made by Jaguar Wright during her interview with RealLyfe Productions last month.

During the interview, Wright was asked what she believes will “happen next,” to which she replied “Cathy White’s true killer is going to be unveiled… And it’s not a man.” From there, she was asked to elaborate, and she accused Diddy of having a tape of the alleged crime. “Show them the tape Diddy, you’ve got it,” she stated. “That might buy you a little time… We’re gonna hang you high, b*tch. For those who don’t know, Cathy White was alleged to be Jay-Z’s mistress before passing away in 2011. Their rumored romance and her subsequent death led to countless conspiracy theories, which are all completely unconfirmed. Nonetheless, it looks like social media sleuths have been hard at work digging them up.

This isn’t the only shocking claim Jaguar Wright made during the interview, however. She also reflected on her relationship with Katt Williams, revealing that they met at her 30th birthday celebration. “He taught me so much in nine months,” she said of the comedian. “Walking away was hard, but it was when the Illuminati first started coming after him, and I left.
