Kanye Says He Still Supports Donald Trump: ‘I Still Got A Red Hat On Today’

During Donald Trump’s time in the White House, Ye (then known as Kanye West) received a lot of flak for his support of the president. Now, it turns out he still has positive feelings about the much-maligned former POTUS.

In an eventful new interview on the Drink Champs podcast, Ye’s support of Trump, which hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN thought was a thing of the past, was mentioned, and Ye said, “I still got a red hat on today, I’ll let y’all know that. I might not got it on, but I’ll let y’all know where I stand.”

This comes after Ye’s own (failed) campaign for president, during which he distanced himself from Trump. In a July 2020 interview, he said, “I am taking the red hat off, with this interview.” In that same conversation, he offered praise for Trump, saying, “Trump is the closest president we’ve had in years to allowing God to still be part of the conversation.” He also said of his reasoning for wearing the red hat, “One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community. Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby.”

Silk Sonic’s Spiteful ‘Smokin’ Out The Window’ Dismisses An Ungrateful Ex

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak began 2021 with the news that they’d joined forces as Silk Sonic for a brand new album. For quite some time, An Evening With Silk Sonic lacked a release date, but towards the end of the summer, they revealed the project was set to arrive at the top of next year. Thankfully, they changed their minds and pushed it up to November 12, giving us just one week until An Evening With Silk Sonic. Before that album is available for the world to hear, Bruno and .Paak return with a third and seemingly final single for us to enjoy with “Smokin’ Out The Window.”

The track is filled with funk and plenty of grooves, just like their previous two singles, but this time around the singers are filled with spite towards a former lover that walked out of them. “Smokin’ Out The Window” finds Bruno and .Paak venting about their former lovers’ actions and their disbelief towards being played in the name of love.

“Smokin’ Out The Window” comes after Silk Sonic began the road towards their new album with “Leave The Door Open,” their chart-topping and award-winning single. They returned months later with “Skate,” a fun single that brought their funk to a warm and tropic climate.

Summer Walker And SZA List Their Regrets Towards An Unappreciative Partner On ‘No Love’

After a two-year wait that felt much longer, Summer Walker has finally delivered her sophomore album Still Over It. Based on the title, it’s clear that the new project delivers updates on Summer’s rollercoaster love life and her fed-up feelings with it. Upon hearing the title, fans were immediately excited that it would serve as a new chapter connected to her extremely successful debut album Over It. Of the many tracks that listeners are excited to hear, “No Love,” Summer’s collaboration with SZA is one many people can’t wait to press play on.

The song sees both singers listing their regrets towards an unappreciative ex. They both admit that if they received a do-over, they’d make sure to be more protective of their hearts with this person. In addition to an appearance from SZA, Summer Walker also recruited Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, City Girls’ JT, Omarion, Pharrell Williams, Ciara, and Cardi B to offer their own contributions to her debut album. Still Over It was only preceded by one single, “Ex For A Reason” with JT, meaning that listeners have plenty of new music to enjoy of the project.

In a message to Apple Music, Summer Walker shared what she hopes listeners take away from the new album. “Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes,” she wrote in an exclusive message to the streaming platform. “You don’t have to guess if something is love. Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you. Don’t ignore the red flags. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ’cause you can’t find better — you can and you will.” Lastly, she added, “Don’t settle for less — you don’t deserve it and neither does your family.”

Post Malone And The Weeknd Couldn’t Care Less About Their Ex’s Feelings On ‘One Right Now’

Post Malone and The Weeknd both have albums in the works that their respective fan bases are waiting patiently for. Malone’s upcoming effort is a follow-up to his 2018 chart-topping album Hollywood’s Bleeding while The Weeknd’s own is one that will mark a quick return from last year’s After Hours. As the wait continues for both projects, Posty and The Weeknd join forces for their new song, “One Right Now.” The track flaunts off their nonchalant sides as they brush off their ex’s feelings and show how they’ve moved on to better.

The track marks Post Malone’s second release of the year after he dropped “Motley Crew” earlier this year. It came with a racetrack-themed video that saw him burning rubber and turning up with fellow musicians like Big Sean, Ty Dolla Sign, French Montana, Tyga, and more. Back in April, Post’s manager Dre London hinted that the singer may have two projects on the way for fans. “This that smile while on FaceTime with @postmalone agreeing that the world deserves 2 Posty projects out this year!” London wrote in the caption of an April 2021 Instagram post. “Discussing dates to drop the 1st one sooner than u think! I won’t tell u the title name just yet maybe next week.” We’ve yet to receive word on the upcoming releases.

As for The Weeknd, his upcoming sixth album is very close to arriving. “Album is complete,” he said during an October 4 episode of his Apple Music radio show Memento Mori. “Only thing missing is a couple characters that are key to the narrative. Some people that are near and dear to me, some people that inspired my life as a child, and some that inspire me now. More to come in the following months.”

You can listen to the new song in the video above.

Ye Says The ‘Worst Thing I’ve Ever Done Was Sign Big Sean’ And Adds That He Is Not On Good Terms With Him Or John Legend

Just over two months after he released his tenth album Donda, Ye delivered his first full interview since the project was released through an appearance on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s podcast, Drink Champs. The trio talked about a number of topics that included Donda, his presidential run, and his rocky marriage with Kim Kardashian, but comments about his former GOOD Music signees Big Sean and John Legend have caught many by surprise.

N.O.R.E. asked Ye to pick between Big Sean and Pusha T, two artists who have long been associated with his GOOD Music label. It’s here that Ye delivered harsh comments about Sean. “When I die, on my tombstone it’s gonna say: ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean,” Ye said. He continued, “I’m saying [that] the worst thing I’ve ever done was sign Big Sean.” After N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN delivered surprised reactions to his comments, Ye explained his reasoning behind the harsh statement.

“Nah man, look, I know this man mama bro, you know what I’m saying? I’ve changed this man’s family and both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at their boy that actually changed their life and that’s some sellout sh*t.” He added, “I don’t rock with neither of them and I need my apologies. I ain’t saying they gonna change, but n****s is scared.”

After Sean presumably caught wind of Ye’s comments, he seemingly responded on Twitter with a slew of laughing emojis before directly addressing Ye. “Was just wit this man, he ain’t say none of that!!!” Sean said with two pictures of him, Ye, and Hit-Boy. “And this was after the interview! I’m dying laughing at you @kanyewest [laughing emoji].”

Lil Durk Announces His New Album, ‘7220,’ And Promises ‘Anthems And No Skips’

Lil Durk has never been one to go too long without releasing a new project to his supporters. In fact, in the last five years, the Chicago rapper has dropped six mixtapes and five albums, including Voice Of The Heroes, his joint project with Lil Baby which they released earlier this year. Just months after that album arrived, Lil Durk is already preparing his next body of work. He teased it on his Instagram Story through an image of a whiteboard which revealed that its title would be 7220. He also captioned the image, “7220 coming soon,” adding, “The voice in album mode.” A message on the whiteboard promised the project would contain “anthems and no skips.”

Die-hard Durk fans pointed out that the album’s title is a part of Durk’s grandmother’s house, where he used to live with a number of his family members. The announcement comes after a string of guest appearances that the rapper shared over the past few months. He joined EST Gee on Moneybagg Yo’s “Switches & Dracs” and connected with G Herbo and 21 Savage for a remix of Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke??” He also partied with Future in FaZe Kaysan’s video for “Made A Way.”

In news not related to music Durk has or will release, he previously announced that he will go back to school in order to receive his high school diploma. “I’m going to get my high school diploma,” he wrote on Twitter. “I want to challenge myself on my goals and real life situations.”
