Following news of Cassandra Ventura, also known as singer Cassie, filing a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging rape and physical abuse, new developments have surfaced surrounding the producer and rapper. According to TMZ, Diddy is currently the subject of a secret NYPD investigation.

It is unclear if this alleged investigation is in relation to Cassie, however, the publication reports that there is strong evidence that the complaint leading to the investigation involves sexual assault.

According to TMZ, the publication was informed by law enforcement that there is an open case at NYPD with the name, “Sean Combs,” and said case is an active case. However, the case file is reportedly locked, “essentially meaning it’s a sensitive case where access is restricted.”

NYPD issued a statement to TMZ, saying, “The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

Based on the statement, TMZ gathers that authorities may be speaking with more than one alleged victim.

The publication has also looked into law enforcement in other jurisdictions, including Miami, Beverly Hills, and Los Angeles, however, have found that no police report has been filed pertaining to Cassie or Diddy, and no other investigations have been launched.

Rachel Zegler Accidentaly Started A Rumor That Nicki Minaj Would Be On The ‘Hunger Games’ Soundtrack, Then Revealed She Is A Barb

While Barbs may still be bummed that Nicki Minaj‘s fifth album Pink Friday 2, which was supposed to be released tomorrow (November 17), won’t arrive for another few weeks, they can still look forward to a tour announcement. Tomorrow also marks the premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes.

Ahead of the premiere, Rachel Zegler shared a hilarious story on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon about how she accidentally started a rumor that Minaj would be on the movie’s soundtrack.

“It was one of those things where there’s a character named Barb Azure in the movie,” said Zegler. “And the actress who plays Barb Azure has a great sense of humor. Her name is Honor Gillies. She’s so fantastic and posted a video of Nicki Minaj saying, ‘Calling all Barbz’ when she got cast. And her character plays the standup bass in the movie so obviously I commented, ‘Slappin’ that super bass.’ As you would.”

This comment was quickly sniffed out by the Barbz, who immediately began sharing theories on social media that Minaj would contribute to the soundtrack.

“They were screenshotting those comments, posting them all over social media, being like, ‘What is Mother doing?’ They are very, very, very dedicated and amazing,” said Zegler of Minaj’s fan army. “I am a Barb. I love Nicki. But she’s not on the album.”

At one point, Zegler herself even believed Minaj may appear on the soundtrack, recalling how Minaj once shared a video with “The Hanging Tree” from The Hunger Games playing in the background.

“She knew what she was doing. I had no idea what I was doing,” Zegler said. “I didn’t know if she was on the soundtrack so I was like, ‘Okay.’”

Barbz can look forward to hearing Pink Friday 2 on December 8, on the birthday of the Queen Barb herself.

Meek Mill Comes To Ice Spice’s Defense Over Fan Drink Drama

Earlier this week, Ice Spice got caught up in an online drama that seemed to spawn from almost nothing. A clip made the rounds online of the breakout rap star being handed a drink by a fan. Instead of drinking it herself, she hands it off to a friend which is where the controversy started. Fans online came at her for a variety of reasons. Some questioned why she didn’t drink it since it was a gift from a fan. But most people wondered why she handed it off to a friend if she was suspicious of it in the first place.

Now, Meek Mill is coming to Ice Spice’s defense over the matter. “it’s crazy people really expect you to drink a cup from a random person …” he responded to the video via a quote tweet. As you’d expect, fans quickly pointed out that Meek was sort of missing the point. “Then she shouldn’t have gave the drink to her friend if she distrusted it,” one popular comment pointed out to him. As of the time of publishing Meek hasn’t responded to any of the fans pointing that out to him. Check out his original thoughts on the situation below.

Meek Mill Stands Up For Ice Spice

Last week, Meek Mill and Rick Ross unleashed their new collaborative album Too Good To Be True. The album had a star-studded list of collaborators including Cool & Dre, BEAM, Vory, Fabolous, Teyana Taylor, DJ Khaled, Wale, The-Dream, Jeremih, French Montana, and Future all make appearances. The album also ends with a special remix featuring contributions from Damian Lillard and Shaq.

Despite the big names on the album, it’s only expected to sell between 30k and 35k copies in its first week. The low figures didn’t seem to phase Meek though, who explained to fans that he and Ross were doing things differently and owned their work. What do you think of the drama surrounding Ice Spice’s drink video? Do you agree with Meek Mill that she was in the right? Let us know in the comment section below.

When Were Diddy & Cassie In A Relationship?

With the news breaking that Diddy is being sued for $30 million by his former flame Cassie, some fans might be wondering about the two stars’ relationship. After all, most of the headlines about the music mogul’s love life lately have revolved around his links to City Girls rapper Yung Miami. But before their connection, Casandra Ventura was Sean Combs’ original age-inappropriate paramour.

The two became connected after the release of Cassie’s hit single “Me & U” in 2006. Diddy heard “Me & U” in a club, and the song’s producer, Ryan Leslie, convinced him to support her debut album under both their imprints, Bad Boy Records and NextSelection, respectively. They went public with their relationship in 2012, appearing at events such as Kanye West’s fashion show in Paris that year.

However, by 2015, the couple appeared to have hit the rocks, with reports that they split up in December making the gossip blog rounds. They briefly reunited, until police were reportedly called to Cassie’s home when she tried to break up with him again in 2016. They were seen together again at the 2017 Met Gala, but by 2018, had apparently broken up again for the final time.

Cassie was eventually linked with fitness trainer Alex Fine that year; they married in 2019 and had two children together. In her lawsuit, she alleges that Diddy was abusive throughout their relationship, raped her in 2018 after forcing his way into her home, and that he even blew up Kid Cudi’s car in a fit of jealousy after their last breakup.

Diddy Blew Up Kid Cudi’s Car, Cassie’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit Alleges

Today, Diddy’s former partner Cassie appeared in court, filing a lawsuit against him for alleged sexual assault and abuse. Her filing includes various damning accusations against the Bad Boy Records founder. She cited several instances of alleged assault. She even made some shocking claims about his reaction to her relationship with Kid Cudi.

Her suit says that Diddy told Cassie he was going to “blow up” Kid Cudi’s car. Allegedly, the conversation took place during Paris Fashion Week in 2012. “Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway,” the suit reads. Kid Cudi’s team appeared to confirm this earlier today, saying, “This is all true.” Allegedly, Diddy offered Cassie a large sum of money to keep the allegations under wraps, but she chose to come forward instead. “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” she stated.

“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Diddy’s lawyer Ben Brafman stated. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”

In a new lawsuit filed by singer Cassie, she not only accused music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of nearly of decade of abuse and manipulation, but she also alleges that he might have been responsible for rapper Kid Cudi‘s car exploding after she dated him.

According to the New York Times, which broke the story, Diddy threatened to blow up the rapper’s car in 2012, when he and Cassie were briefly linked. The lawsuit reads, “Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.” Kid Cudi apparently confirmed through a publicist, “This is all true.”

Elsewhere in the lawsuit, Cassie accuses Diddy of taking other extremely manipulative measures to control her during their tumultuous relationship, including threatening to withhold her music, pushing her to consume drugs like ecstasy and ketamine, and beating her, including giving her black eyes and paying off hotels to keep the abuse secret.

The lawsuit also alleges that he coerced her into having sex with male prostitutes, asserting that as this happened across state lines, this could qualify as sex trafficking.

Diddy denies the allegations, with one of his lawyers essentially calling the accusations a shakedown and saying Cassie tried to extort him with threats of a tell-all book, while Cassie’s attorneys maintain that it was the other way around and she refused a payoff from him to keep quiet.

André 3000’s Album Might Be All Flute Music, But That’s Not Stopping Lupe Fiasco From Wanting To Rap Over It

André 3000 announced that his new album New Blue Sun wouldn’t be a rap album, but it sounds like Lupe Fiasco might be planning on turning it into one. Shortly after André announced the album, Lupe hit Twitter to declare his intentions. “Gonna rap all over that 3stacks album and put it in the time capsule for future generations,” he wrote, leaving fans unsure if he was joking or deadly serious.

Here’s the thing: This is one of those things Lupe absolutely would do. The hyper-intellectual Chicago rapper has previously employed any number of unusual concepts for albums and mixtapes, from rapping over mainstream hits on Enemy of the State: A Love Story to rapping ABOUT dinosaurs on a track titled, fittingly, “Dinosaurs” from his 2020 House EP with producer Kaelin Ellis.

He’s been every bit as unpredictable and inscrutable as André has been over the past decade or so (albeit much more productive), and if anyone could pull off making a rap album over a bunch of flute instrumentals, it’s probably Lupe — if not André himself (they also share a proclivity for extravagant song titles). In his announcement, André said, “I don’t want to troll people. I don’t want people to think, ‘Oh, this André 3000 album is coming!’ And you play it and like, ‘Oh man, no verses.’ So even actually on the packaging, you’ll see it says, ‘Warning: no bars.’”

As far as why he didn’t rap on New Blue Sun, the elusive musician told Zane Lowe, “I try to write all the time… I ain’t got no raps like that… Sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way.”

Well, that may not be the case once Lupe’s done. Let’s hope he’s being sincere, if only because we need to know what that’ll sound like.

Diddy Is Being Sued By Cassie For Rape And Repeated Physical Abuse

Casandra Ventura, best known as the singer Cassie, has sued her former longtime romantic partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of rape and a decade’s worth of physical abuse. According to the New York Times, Ventura filed sued today (November 16) in Manhattan Federal District Court, claiming that from shortly after they met in 2005 (she was 19 at the time), he exercised a pattern of abuse and manipulation that included beatings, drugs, coerced sex with male prostitutes, and at least one occasion, rape.

In a statement, Cassie wrote, “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, wrote in response, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr.

However, Ventura’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, characterized the proposal differently. “Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” he said. “She rejected his efforts.”

The lawsuit names a number of other defendants as people who helped Diddy maintain the secrecy of these incidents, as well as claiming that he used threats, such as withholding her music, to coerce her compliance. He allegedly exercised control over her housing, transportation, and even medical records, while pushing her to take ecstasy and ketamine. Ventura says that he would become violent when angered, which was multiple times a year.

There are more detailed accounts in the Times‘ report, which readers should be warned are graphic in nature. It should be noted that there is at least one report of police involvement in the couple’s relationship woes.
