Lil Wayne Will Debut His Anticipated New Single At Wrestlemania 40

Lil Wayne is officially in the mix. The legendary rapper confirmed that he will be one of several notable celebrities to attend Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia. Wayne made the announcement during a brief but memorable interaction with superstar Jey Uso on the most recent episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. Not only will he be attending, but the rapper will be debuting a new song as well.

Uso was starstruck upon bumping into Wayne backstage, and urged the rapper to make time in his busy schedule to “come through” to Philly. Of course, Wayne didn’t take much convincing. “Imma be there and you know what, I’m bringing my single,” he asserted. “World premiere. WrestleMania. You know what it is.” The title of the single, and its producer, have yet to be announced. Nevertheless, Uso is eager to hear it. He gave Wayne a taste of his signature catchphrase “yeet” upon learning about the rapper’s plans, and got a “yeet” in return!

Lil Wayne announced the song on RAW

A new single from Lil Wayne may not seem like a big deal, given the rapper’s massive output, but it’s actually been a while since he dropped solo material. He put out the 2 Chainz collab album Welcome 2 Collegrove and the mixtape Tha Fix Before Tha VI at the end of 2023, but he hasn’t released a new solo single since September. Wayne is currently working on the anticipated album Tha Carter VI, which was announced back in 2022. The new single will stand next to previous Carter VI era tracks like “Kant Nobody” featuring DMX and “Kat Food.”

It’s a good year to be a Wayne fan living in Philadelphia. In addition to the rapper’s Wrestlemania 40 appearance, he will be performing at the 2024 Roots Picnic at the Mann in Fairmount Park. Wayne will co-headline the event with R&B singer and Philly native Jill Scott. Other notable performers at the Roots Picnic include Andre 3000, Gunna and Victoria Monet.

WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’ to Move to Netflix in 2025

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns Diagnosed With Leukemia, Takes an Immediate Leave of Absence

WWE’s longest-running episodic television show in history is headed to Netflix. The sports entertainment giant has announced a deal with Netflix that will send the live wrestling show to the streaming platform in 2025.

The deal ends a three-decade run for Raw on linear television in a deal that is expected to pay the WWE $400 million a year over a five-year run. WWE is currently airing on USA network, under the NBCUniversal umbrella, in a deal that brings in $250-260 million per year.

WWE’s current showing on USA will end in Oct. 2024. A host for the program between October and January has not been announced.

“We are excited to have WWE Raw, with its huge and passionate multigenerational fan base, on Netflix,” said Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria. “By combining our reach, recommendations and fandom with WWE, we’ll be able to deliver more joy and value for their audiences and our members. Raw is the best of sports entertainment, blending great characters and storytelling with live action 52 weeks a year and we’re thrilled to be in this long-term partnership with WWE.”

“In its relatively short history, Netflix has engineered a phenomenal track record for storytelling,” said Nick Khan, WWE president. “We believe Netflix, as one of the world’s leading entertainment brands, is the ideal long-term home for Raw’s live, loyal, and ever-growing fan base.”

“This deal is transformative,” added Mark Shapiro, president and COO of WWE parent company TKO. “It marries the can’t-miss WWE product with Netflix’s extraordinary global reach and locks in significant and predictable economics for many years. Our partnership fundamentally alters and strengthens the media landscape, dramatically expands the reach of WWE, and brings weekly live appointment viewing to Netflix.”

According to Variety, WWE recently sold the rights for Smackdown to NBCUniversal and USA network in a five-year, $1.4 billion deal. NXT will move to the CW at $20-25 million yearly at the five-year mark.

Bad Bunny Hit With Vicious Chokeslam During Monday Night Raw

Bad Bunny has become one of the biggest superstars in the entire world. Overall, he has some of the best-selling records in the world right now. He has a global appeal to his music, and there is no doubt that he continues to be a leader in the Latin music scene. Moreover, he appears to be in the midst of a new relationship with Kendall Jenner, which must be nice for him. It should also be mentioned that Bad Bunny is now a prominent name across the WWE. He has even shown his prowess at WrestleMania and other big events.

Wrestling fans can be fickle when it comes to celebrities getting involved in the company. However, Bad Bunny is so good that he always gets a pass. On Saturday, he took part in WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium. He was part of the match between Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. In the end, Bunny helped the elder Mysterio defeat his son. Although, during Monday Night Raw, the artist came back for more as he came face-to-face with Dominik and his partner Damian Pries. As you will see in the clips below, it did not go well for Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny Gets Eviscerated

It starts out with the artist dropping Dominik Mysterio on two separate occasions. Subsequently, Priest goes up to the artist and launches him over the barricade that separates the ring from his seat. While Bad Bunny tries to fight back, he gets taken out before being launched through an announcer’s table. The chokeslam was incredibly vicious, although it was great entertainment. In the end, the artist was a good sport about it as he walked away without any serious injuries. Luckily, he won’t have to take any time away from performing concerts.

If this story tells us anything, it is that Bad Bunny can do it all. He sells millions of records, and he can even make WWE fans happy, which is almost impossible. Hopefully, he continues to be part of the company for a long time. Let us know what you think of his recent Monday Night Raw appearance, in the comments down below.

Logan Paul Draws Rare Praise After Knocking Out Seth Rollins

If you have been paying attention to the WWE as of late, you know that Logan Paul has been playing an increased role in the company. Although Logan is a controversial figure, you have to admit he is great at what he does. His athleticism is off the charts, and it has led to some incredible moments in the ring. Overall, he is a valued member of the WWE, and fans are going to have to deal with him for years to come. Even though the wrestling purists hate him, there is no doubt that he is bringing more attention to wrestling, especially from the younger generation.

Last night, Paul found himself on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. It was here where he got to cut a promo for his fight with Seth Rollins which is coming up at WrestleMania. As you can see in the clip below, the entire promo is backed by an episode of ImPaulsive. However, Seth Rollins attempts to interrupt the podcast in order to make everything more entertaining. This subsequently leads to an epic fight sequence where Rollins gets knocked out pretty hard.

Logan Paul Destroys Rollins

Rollins is one of the biggest stars in the WWE, so it was cool to see Logan get a leg up on him. If you remember, Paul actually knocked out Rollins earlier this week, which just makes this funnier. However, they are very clearly trying to set up Paul as the heel here. This means that going into WrestleMania, he will be the hated individual in the ring. Furthermore, it is likely that Rollins will come back and win. At the end of the day, it would be a stretch to think that the WWE would allow Paul to defeat Rollins on such a big stage as WrestleMania.

Either way, the fans seem to be extremely hyped by what Logan Paul is doing. More and more wrestling fans are beginning to understand his appeal. They know that he can do big things for the sport, and overall, this is just a good look for everyone involved. Hopefully, the match at WrestleMania lives up to the hype.
