Michael B. Jordan On Next Romance: “It’s Gonna Happen When It’s Supposed To”

Michael B. Jordan says that he’s being patient regarding his next romance, after his split from Lori Harvey last year. The two dated from November 2020 through June 2022. Jordan opened up about the state of his love life during a new interview with Rolling Stone.

When asked “if he saw himself making time for a relationship again,” Jordan responded, “Of course I think about it, but I definitely want to try to be responsible with that. Knowing how I wanted to be as present as possible. It’s gonna happen when it’s supposed to happen.”

A source for PEOPLE explained his split from Harvey at the time saying, “Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”

Harvey, on the other hand, has already moved on to another relationship. On Wednesday, she and Damson Idris made their red carpet debut at the season 6 premiere of Snowfall. At the event, they could be seen laughing their way down the red carpet. The two have been rumored to be dating since December when they were spotted grabbing dinner in Los Angeles. They also celebrated their first Valentine’s Day together as a couple, earlier this week.

Michael B. Jordan is gearing up for one of the biggest releases of his career in Creed III. Not only does Jordan star in the third entry of the franchise, but it will also be his feature directorial debut. “I’m always willing to prove myself,” Jordan told Rolling Stone. “When you come from where I come from, and everybody doesn’t get those opportunities and breaks — that luck, or whatever — you start to question why you’re getting the things that you get. Why am I successful in life? Or why did I go this way, and everybody went that way? That builds up on you after a while.” The highly-anticipated film is hitting theaters on March 3, 2023.

Michael B. Jordan Gets Emotional Recalling “Fruitvale Station” Standing Ovation At Cannes

We’re in the thick of another season for Michael B. Jordan as the acclaimed actor’s latest film, Creed III, is on the horizon. This installment not only stars Jordan once again as the lead character, but he also helmed the director’s chair. Just yesterday, the final Creed III trailer was shared ahead of the film’s March 3 release, and Rolling Stone returned with a new interview with the filmmaker. Jordan told the outlet that the movie was “deeply personal.”

This was “a way for me to share a piece of myself with the world.” Jordan added, “I’m always willing to prove myself. When you come from where I come from, and everybody doesn’t get those opportunities and breaks — that luck, or whatever — you start to question why you’re getting the things that you get. Why am I successful in life? Or why did I go this way, and everybody went that way? That builds up on you after a while.”

Elsewhere, the actor speaks on his fears, admitting that “being forgotten” is “a big one.” He shared a story of a childhood best friend who passed away years ago. It was the friend’s birthday, and Jordan realized he had forgotten about it. “I didn’t call his family on that day, I didn’t take time during that whole day to remember that it was my best friend’s f*cking birthday. His birthday. To pass away, bro. And I felt like the biggest piece of sh*t ever. And I felt … f*ck. If I … like, if somebody I hold so dearly, I can forget when their birthday was … what the f*ck they gonna do about me?”

Jordan is failing to recognize the impact of his roles, at least in this instance. When questioned about his favorite role, Jordan shared a story about Fruitvale Station being shown at Cannes in France. He portrayed the real-life Oscar Grant III, a young man from the Bay Area who was killed by police. The controversy sparked a movement, and the Cannes audience’s reaction took Jordan by surprise. There were concerns that audiences in France wouldn’t connect with the film. Jordan teared up retelling his experience after the movie screening, and the crowd gave a 10-minute standing ovation.

“Motherf*ckers standing up for 10 minutes,” said the actor. “I didn’t know what the fuck was going on. I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t. This is uncomfortable. Y’all could stop.’ Walking out into the hallway, they still clappin’, bro. I get chills thinking about it, it’s crazy.”

“Literally, from the time [the movie] ended, the applause didn’t stop until I got on the f*cking … back on the red carpet outside. Getting into the car, it was starting to rain. And people are still on the windows. As I’m calling Oscar’s mom on the phone, telling Wanda we just f*cking …” Jordan took a pause as he began to tear up. “Like, it’s something like …” He is without words for a moment. “I never thought a n*gga from North Jersey’d be able to have that impact.”

‘I Am Legend 2’ Confirmed, Will Star Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan

'I Am Legend 2' Confirmed, Will Star Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan

I Am Legend 2 is officially in development. The film will use the alternate ending of the 2007 film to provide a story for the sequel.

I Am Legend stars Will Smith, a human survivor during a time were a plague has changed humans into nocturnal creatures called Darkseekers. Dying the original, the alternate ending saw Smith making peace with the alpha and escaping to freedom.

Speaking with Deadline, producer Akiva Goldsman revealed that I Am Legend 2 will bring Will Smith back and pair him with Michael B. Jordan. The film will be placed many years after the story of the original. You can read Goldsman’s statement below.

I’m obsessed with The Last of Us, where we see the world just post-apocalypse but also after a 20-30-year lapse. You see how the earth reclaims the world, and there’s something beautiful in the question of, as man steps away from being the primary tenant, what happens? That will be especially visual in New York. I don’t know if they’ll climb up to the empire state building, but the possibilities are endless.

We trace back to the original Matheson book, and the alternate ending as opposed to the released ending in the original film. What Matheson was talking about was that man’s time on the planet as the dominant species had come to an end. That’s a really interesting thing we’re going to get to explore. There will be a little more fidelity to the original text.

Michael B. Jordan Explores His Personalities For Rolling Stone

Michael B. Jordan is Rolling Stones’ March 2023 cover star. In the expose, he gave us an inside look into life as an actor turned director on the top of Hollywood’s A-list. He discusses his directorial debut with “Creed III”, set to release on March 3rd. In addition, he touches on his experience as a Black man influencing his role as Adonis Creed in the films.

“So this is what Adonis is the most current iteration of. He is Black in the world. He has to work through the aftereffects of what Killmonger was fighting for, and how Oscar wasn’t seen or respected. Adonis is trying to start a family, and dealing with childhood trauma, not knowing how to talk and not knowing how to express himself. Not knowing why he feels less, why doesn’t he feel worthy,” Michael B. Jordan tells Rolling Stone.

The Look

Additionally, the shoot was lensed by creative Adrienne Raquel who is known for her playful and vibrant imagery. Subsequently, styling creds go to Michael B. Jordan’s stylist Jason Bolden, who was able to convey a powerful message of masculinity with contrasting femininity through the looks for the shoot. Michael can be seen in a shirtless pose with a pair of Todd Patrick two-toned leather pants and a Peter Do jacket draped across his shoulder. Elsewhere Michael is seen in a white Bottega Veneta tank top, a diamond Tiffany & Co. necklace, and a strand of pearls.

Finally, for the cover itself, Michael B. Jordan is dazed in a red and black logo-embellished Givenchy biker jacket, and matching pants. Furthermore, this cover marks the beginning of a new era for Jordan, as fans everywhere anticipate the new “Creed” film to be just as successful as the last two. He tells Rolling Stone, “I don’t see myself slowing down. Life’s short. I want to squeeze every fucking drop out of this.” Overall, we are confident that Michael B. Jordan will continue to pose a double threat with his successful acting career and now his directing career, and we cannot wait to see what he will do shortly.

Will Smith’s “I Am Legend” Sequel: Details Released

It has been over 15 years since Will Smith took to the big screen in the 2007 hit film, I Am Legend. According to sources, Warner Brothers will be developing a brand new sequel for the film. Will Smith will be reprising his role as Robert Neville and producing the film, as well. Additionally, Warner Brothers added Michael B. Jordan to the cast and producers list. His recent history of filmography includes, but is not limited to, Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Creed I-III, and Just Mercy.

Akiva Goldsman adapted the famous Richard Matheson novel from 1954 in 2007. He will be returning to write the film’s sequel. When speaking to Deadline this week, Goldsman explained that the follow-up to I Am Legend is possible after all these years. Fans recall that in the first I Am Legend film, Smith’s character, Robert, dies saving the cure. So, that begs the question: how could he possibly be returning to screens? The answer comes from the film’s alternate ending.

In the alternative ending to I Am Legend, Dr. Robert Neville lives on in the universe of the film. Goldsman explained how the film will work in a statement. He said, “This will start a few decades later than the first. I’m obsessed with The Last of Us, where we see the world just post-apocalypse but also after a 20-30-year lapse. You see how the earth reclaims the world, and there’s something beautiful in the question of, as man steps away from being the primary tenant, what happens? The pair will additionally create an upcoming sequel to Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves.

Michael B. Jordan And Jonathan Majors Star In “Creed III” Trailer: Watch

The Super Bowl LVII gave Creed fans one last peek at Creed III prior to its release on March 3, 2023. The film is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut after a long history of acting in films. Some of his most notable performances are Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Just Mercy, Farenheight 451, and Fantastic Four. He will return to the character Adonis “Donnie” Creed. Creed III will be the film’s ninth addition to the Rocky film franchise.

In Creed III, Sylvester Stallone’s character, Rocky Balboa, will not be joining Jordan’s Creed. Stallone is not returning to the franchise due to creative differences. However, Tessa Thompson is reprising her role as Creed’s girlfriend Bianca. Additionally, Phylicia Rashad will reprise her role as Creed’s stepmother, Mary Anne. Jonathan Majors is joining the production as Anderson “Damian” Dame, Creed’s newest rival. Previously, Majors was in Loki and Magazine Dreams. He has multiple upcoming projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conqueror.

“Creed III” Trailer

In the trailer, we see how Adonis has made peace with the fact that he has to live up to the legacy of his father, Apollo Creed. However, as he embraces his own journey, his past hinders his growth. Anderson (Majors) comes back into his life after spending 18 years in prison. Apparently, Adonis and Anderson were both stopped by the police as kids. However, Anderson was the only one put behind bars. Anderson returns to get his revenge. After all, he was robbed of almost two decades of his life. This just means he’ll have to face off with Adonis in a massive event that takes place at Dodger Stadium.

Originally, Creed III had a release date of November 23, 2022. However, MGM postponed the release of the film to March 3, 2023. Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin wrote Creed III. Coogler wrote Space Jam: A New Legacy, while Zach Baylin wrote King Richard and has numerous writing projects coming out alongside Creed III (The Order, The Crow, and an untitled Bob Marley biopic). The Creed III screenplay was based on the story by the Creed I director and Keenan Coogler’s brother, Ryan Coogler.

Gayle King brought up his “SNL” monologue from two weeks ago, in which he joked about his breakup with Lori Harvey, claiming to have signed up on a dating app and learning a new language.

“I mean, I think for me, it’s just I was lucky enough to have a lot of work, you know?” Jordan told Gayle King for CBS Mornings. “And I’m a firm believer of what’s for you is for you. Michael B. Jordan Gives His Super Bowl Prediction

In two weeks from now, the Super Bowl will be played out in Arizona. This is going to be a fantastic game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Overall, these were the two best teams in the league all season, and they deserve this spot.

Of course, there are a lot of differing opinions on who will win this game. One of the people who got to voice their prediction was none other than Michael B. Jordan. Jordan is a big Giants fan who saw the Eagles crush his team. However, while on First Take, he got to give his early pick for who takes it all.

Michael B. Jordan Talks Super Bowl

When asked by Molly Qerim who will take the big game, Jordan was very quick to say that it would be the Chiefs. Although, it took him forever to finally settle on a score line. In the end, however, he decided that it would be a six-point game in which the Chiefs win 27-21.

Stephen A. Smith made sure to test Jordan by asking him if this pick was purely based on emotion. That’s when Jordan quipped back that he is a Sagittarius and by default is an emotional person. This had the whole panel laughing, although it’s clear that Jordan believes the Chiefs have this in the bag.

No matter what, this is shaping up to be an amazing game. These are two fantastic quarterbacks who have done some great things this year. Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes deserve this, and we cannot wait to see the outcome.

Let us know who you think is going to win, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the NFL.
