Following a distressing and shocking medical emergency, recent reports indicate that Jamie Foxx is steadily improving at a Georgia hospital. In fact, close sources shared to People that the actor is “awake and alert” as doctors continue to run tests and monitor his state. Moreover, Martin Lawrence also said that his health is on an upward trend towards healing and wished his family the best. Of course, this doesn’t mean that Foxx is out of the woods yet, but it’s a heartening update on his situation. After Jamie Foxx wound up in the hospital, millions of fans sent an outpour of sympathy and support, including celebrities. For example, LeBron James took to Twitter to share a message to the Collateral star. “Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx!!!! Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER! God willing.” For those unaware, Foxx was in Georgia fill-in the action-comedy flick Back In Action. Unfortunately, it faced many production issues before this much larger emergency.

Even though he’s still hospitalized, more reports indicate not just recovery in the medical center, but recovery on set. During Foxx’s treatment, his stunt double has reportedly been contributing to scenes in his film where he can, so the production is still underway. According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, Jamie Foxx is “steadily improving” following his medical emergency and hospitalization. For those unaware, his daughter Corinne Foxx broke the news in an Instagram post. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote. “Luckily, due to quick action and great case, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

Not only that, but apparently the situation could’ve been tragic according to other reports from TMZ. “We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital,” they claimed. “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.” To elaborate, Foxx was in Georgia filing the Netflix comedy Back In Action, which now faces a slew of production issues given Foxx’s hospitalization. Interestingly enough, the film was already facing a lot of issues, such as the 55-year-old being subject to a $40,000 scam while on set.

Jamie Foxx Is Slowly Recovering After Hospitalization

Furthermore, LeBron James was one of many celebrities and fans who wished the Django Unchained star well. “Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx!!!!” LeBron wrote on Twitter. “Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER! God willing.” Even though people expressed their support on social media, they did so without knowing any symptoms or barely any details as to the incident. Even though the set of Back In Action is quite hectic and disorganized at the moment, there’s hope that Foxx will feel better very soon. Jamie Foxx Suffers Serious “Medical Complication”

Just a few days ago, Jamie Foxx posted a video of himself living it up on a superyacht. The actor is currently in the midst of filming a new Netflix movie, Back In Action. The movie has been filming in London, where it has apparently experienced significant weather delays. It co-stars Cameron Diaz, who is making her return to Hollywood after an 8-year hiatus. Foxx himself convinced Diaz to co-star.

Things haven’t exactly been smooth on set, however. Recently, sources revealed that Foxx was the target of a $40,000 scam. Allegedly, an employee on the film crew was the one orchestrating it. Foxx is not the only one who was targeted by the scam, however. Apparently, the person has tried to pull one over on multiple celebrities. Authorities haven’t released the culprit’s name, but reports say that they have been let go and an investigation has been opened. “This film has been a bit of a nightmare,” the source said. It seems like that is probably the least of Jamie Foxx’s worries at this point, though. The actor was hospitalized for a significant health scare.

Foxx’s Health Scare Was Serious

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, broke the news in an Instagram post. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced [a] medical complication yesterday,” she began, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” This is good news for Foxx, who seemed to be in great health until now. According to a TMZ “source,” the situation was far more grave than the actor’s daughter made it out to be. “We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family — some of whom were not in town — came to the hospital,” they said. “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”

The exact nature of the complications is unclear. Luckily, it appears that the actor is now in stable condition, at least. President Biden Addresses NFL Safety Concerns After Talking To Damar Hamlin’s Parents

President Joe Biden addressed Damar Hamlin’s frightening medical emergency on Wednesday after speaking with the Pennsylvania native’s parents. He also addressed safety concerns in the NFL.

Speaking with reporters, Biden was asked if “the NFL is getting too dangerous.” 

The head of state responded, “No, look. The idea that you’re gonna have…you’ve got guys that are 6’8″, 340 pounds running a 4.8 40. If you hit somebody with that kinda force, now that’s not what happened here, but I just think it’s, I don’t know how you avoid it.”

“I think working like hell on the helmets, the concussion protocols, that all makes a lot of sense. But it is dangerous. We gotta just acknowledge it,” he added.

This past Monday, Hamlin collapsed on the field during the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills V. Cincinnati Bengals game, not long after suffering a hard hit. He was taken to a nearby hospital and placed in the intensive care unit, later intubated.

 The Bills confirmed via their Twitter after that the 24-year-old safety had suffered a heart attack, saying, “Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”

Sports reporter Matt Parrino tweeted Tuesday that he spoke with Hamlin’s uncle, revealing, “Damar has a little lung damage but he’s now breathing using only 50% of ventilator. He needed 100% yesterday.”

Ted Cruz Reveals Daughter Is “Okay” After Reports Of A Medical Emergency

Texas Senator Ted Cruz revealed that his teenage daughter is “okay” after police responded to his home earlier this week. Per TMZ, officers received a report that a 14-year-old had “self-inflicted stab wounds to their arm.”

Cruz has two daughters, ages 14 and 11, with his wife Heidi Cruz.

Requesting privacy following the incident, a representative for Cruz reportedly told ABC News, “This is a family matter and thankfully their daughter is okay.”

“There were no serious injuries,” the rep continued. “The family requests the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”

Cruz confirmed last month that he would be seeking reelection in the U.S. Senate in 2024. If he wins, it will be the 51-year-old’s third consecutive term.

According to the Texas Tribune, the Republican politician recently shared, “I’m running for reelection in the Senate, I’m focused on the battles in the United States Senate.” Cruz previously stated, “We need a real debate about how are we going to lead during the next two years in the minority in the U.S. Senate.”

Cruz then alluded to a possible run for the presidency. After being asked if he would be a possible candidate in the upcoming election, the senator reportedly stated, “there’ll be plenty of time to discuss [the] 2024 presidential.”

He previously campaigned for the presidency in 2016 but suspended his efforts. Cruz later endorsed Donald Trump, who went on to become the 45th U.S. President.
