Nick Cannon Says He Would ‘Still Go Hard’ For His Ex-Wife Mariah Carey And ‘Lay Down’ His Life For Her

Though almost nine years have passed since Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey separated, Cannon still has love for the music icon. During an interview with The Diary Of A Ceo, Cannon spoke highly of his time with Carey.

He even recalled a time Carey came to his aid after he passed out while jogging in Aspen, Colorado.

“Mariah came in and found me,” said Cannon. “And they rushed me to the ER in Aspen… I didn’t think it was that bad because I had just got back from jogging in Aspen. So they’re like, ‘He probably has altitude sickness.’ Mariah came in and found me. And they rushed me to the ER in Aspen… I didn’t think it was that bad because I had just got back from jogging in Aspen. So they’re like, ‘He probably has altitude sickness.’”

The event took place before Cannon was formally diagnosed with lupus, but it’s something he will always hold dearly.

“I think that’s what you do when you find a help-mate,” said Cannon. “When you find someone that you’re in matrimony with. I went hard for her, and I’d still go hard for her. I’d lay down my life for her, even today.”

This isn’t the first time Cannon has recalled his time with Carey fondly. Back in March, Cannon said Carey was the love of his life.

Nick Cannon Aspires To Start Family Band, Mariah Carey Won’t Let Her Twins Share The Spotlight: Source

If you’ve been wondering why Nick Cannon has fathered so many children over the past few years, it seems an answer is finally coming to light – the California native has big plans of starting a family band. Radar Online published the report early on Friday (June 9) morning, revealing that Cannon is under the impression his offspring would be a “mega success” in the spotlight. Despite his confidence, however, ex-wife Mariah Carey reportedly isn’t on board with the project at this time.

“Nick was sure his kids could make millions as a band, but Mariah poured cold water on his dream,” an insider recently dished to the outlet. “She’s opposed to her children sharing the spotlight with Nick’s nine other kids from five different women,” they added. Neither parent has publicly addressed the gossip at this time, though we have seen their 12-year-old twins make appearances on their social media over the years.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that they have at least some of their parent’s charisma. Of course, only time will tell if either Morrocan or Monroe has pipes like Mariah or comedy chops like Cannon. It remains unclear how the Wild ‘N Out host’s other co-parents – Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, LaNisha Cole, Bre Tiesi, and Alyssa Scott – feel about their little ones getting in on the musical action. However, seeing as many of the children are still learning how to walk and talk, it’ll likely be some time before they move on to dancing and singing.

News of the family band comes just months after it was revealed that Mariah Carey planned to seek primary custody of her two children, seeing as they apparently spend most of their time with her anyway. Do you think that Nick Cannon could find further success by starting a band with all of his children? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Nick Cannon Compares Relationship With Mariah Carey To Trump And Putin

Nick Cannon has provided an interesting new comparison for his relationship with Mariah Carey. Nick has referred to Mariah as both his ex-wife and the love of his life in the past. Now, he has drawn a comparison between their relationship and the one shared by the former American President and the current President of Russia. According to a recent interview, the father of 12 believes that the “Emotions” singer had a frenemy-like relationship with him during their marriage.

“Imagine if, like, Trump and Putin had to live in the same house,” Nick said in an interview with the LA Times. “It wasn’t even about her and I — we’ve always been good. It was more about us understanding that instead of making it about our relationship and what I want or what you want, we should just do what’s best for the children.” Nick’s latest comparison of his and Mariah’s relationship to a political one has raised eyebrows among fans and the public alike, who are curious about the true nature of their relationship.

Where Did You Sleep Last Night, Nick?

Nick Cannon also recently said that he earns $100 million per year. Despite this, he also acknowledged some of the negative aspects of his and his partners’ hectic lifestyles. The actor and comedian revealed that due to everyone’s busy schedules, he has not been sexually active. He mentioned that everyone’s focus is on the children, implying that he understands and respects their priorities. Some may jokingly suggest that Nick Cannon does not need to father any more children, but he appears to be taking responsibility for his children and romantic relationships, which is commendable.

Another hardship Nick seems to face is deciding where to sleep at night. With so many baby mamas and houses, it’s probably an overwhelming amount of options. According to Nick, however, his sleeping arrangements are dependent on who he spoke to that day. “A lot of times it’s whichever of them has called me that day, to be honest,” Nick said. “I am such a creature of habit. I like who like me.” He went on to reveal he keeps clothes at every baby mama’s house. What do you think of Nick’s latest comments? Let us know in the comment section!

“All I Want For Christmas Is You (Remix)” ft. Jermaine Dupri & Lil Bow Wow

All I Want For Christmas Is You” is undoubtedly one of Mariah Carey’s most celebrated holiday classics. This festive favorite received a hip hop twist when Mariah Carey joined Jermaine Dupri and Lil Bow Wow for a remix. The 2000 release of this infectious tune further etched Carey’s name into holiday history. The remix, produced by Dupri, infused the original track with verses from the hitmaker and a young Lil Bow Wow. This reimagined version of Mariah’s seasonal hit quickly became a fan favorite, blending pop and hip hop in perfect harmony. The trio’s chemistry made this collaboration one for the books.

In true Mariah Carey fashion, “All I Want For Christmas Is You (Remix)” transcends the boundaries of traditional holiday music. It proves that her collaborations with hip hop artists can result in pure magic, creating a lasting impact on fans and the music industry alike. So, as you deck the halls next season, don’t forget to add this to your playlist!

“Fantasy (Remix)” ft. Ol’ Dirty Bastard

When discussing Mariah Carey’s collabs that made a mark, the 1995 “Fantasy (Remix)” featuring Ol’ Dirty Bastard cannot be overlooked. This groundbreaking union seamlessly redefines the musical landscape. Mariah’s sweet, catchy melodies blended perfectly with ODB’s raw, gritty verses, making the remix an instant classic. Produced by Puff Daddy, the track became a chart-topping hit and a staple of ’90s pop culture.

“Heartbreaker” ft. Jay-Z

Among the most memorable Mariah collaborations is her 1999 hit “Heartbreaker,” featuring none other than hip hop legend Jay-Z. The upbeat track blended Mariah’s vocal prowess alongside Jay-Z’s smooth, distinctive flow. Produced by DJ Clue and Mariah herself, “Heartbreaker” topped the charts. The iconic music video, directed by Brett Ratner, added to the song’s appeal. This hip hop collaboration from Carey battles for one of her most unforgettable.

“Thank God I Found You” ft. Joe & Nas

Another standout is the 2000 release “Thank God I Found You,” featuring R&B singer Joe and rap icon Nas. This heartfelt ballad highlights Mariah’s stunning vocals, Joe’s soulful voice, and Nas’s poetic rap verse. The song, co-written and co-produced by Mariah, soared to the top of the charts, becoming a timeless hit. The “Make It Last” remix, produced by DJ Clue, added a fresh, upbeat vibe to the original. “Thank God I Found You” is another example of how Mariah Carey is more than a pop princess.

“Loverboy (Remix)” ft. Da Brat & Ludacris

“Loverboy (Remix)” is yet another testament to the power of Mariah Carey collabs, as she joins forces with Da Brat and Ludacris for this infectious 2001 hit. The playful track is another that hosts Carey’s catchy, infectious hooks. Her signature whistle notes make an appearance, and Mariah and Clark Kent produced the track. It became a summer anthem and a chart success. The vibrant music video, directed by David LaChapelle, further showcased Mariah’s fun, flirtatious side.

“Honey (Remix)” ft. Mase & The Lox

The 1997 “Honey (Remix)” is a prime example of Mariah Carey collabs that impacted the music industry. Teaming up with Mase and The Lox, Mariah transformed her sultry hit into a hip hop masterpiece. Produced by Puff Daddy and Stevie J, the remix features smooth verses from Mase and The Lox, complementing Mariah’s seductive vocals. The accompanying music video, directed by Paul Hunter, further elevated the track’s appeal, helping the track climb to the top of the charts.

“Boy (I Need You)” ft. Cam’ron

“Boy (I Need You)” is a track featuring the distinctive flow of Harlem rapper Cam’ron. Released in 2002, the song showcases Mariah’s impish side, blending her captivating vocals with Cam’ron’s distinctive style. Produced by Just Blaze, the track samples Cam’ron’s own hit, “Oh Boy,” adding a hip hop edge to Mariah’s signature sound. The colorful, anime-inspired music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, is still a favorite among Mariah’s Lambs.

Even Nick Cannon Is Mindful Enough Not To Bring His ‘Bullsh*t’ To His Ex-Wife Mariah Carey’s Home

Nick Cannon is one of the hardest-working men in Hollywood, serving as a host to several television shows, including Wild’ n Out. (He’s also taking over Beat Shazam for a hospitalized Jamie Foxx.) But it’s his unofficial mission to expand his already massive family that’s most caught the public’s attention.

With a dozen children to his name, the entertainer often jokes about “having “super sperm” and feeling like he can “impregnate the whole world.” However, Cannon’s ex-wife, music superstar Mariah Carey, finds no humor in his paternal pursuits. During his recent appearance on The Jason Lee Show, Cannon — who has two kids with the legendary singer — shared what she thinks about his growing family, in an exclusive shared with Uproxx.

“She’s high frequency, man. She always like — she asks me all the time, like, ‘You aight? How you doin’? You handling it all,” says Cannon adding, “She’s like,” as long as you don’t bring none of that bullsh*t over to the Manor of Carey.’”

Cannon added, “She lives in her own world. Nothing can infiltrate that. So, when we talk daily, she’s just checking on my spirit.”

The full interview will air on REVOLT’s linear channels tonight, May 8, at 10 pm ET. Starting Tuesday, May 9, the video will be uploaded to REVOLT’s digital platforms. Find more information here.

Nick Cannon Reveals Why He Has So Many Kids

Nick Cannon has addressed his public image surrounding his many children. He says that despite what people may think on social media, he is not a “deadbeat dad.” Nick was recently interviewed by the LA Times. There, Cannon talks about his approach to fatherhood and how social media can often misconstrue things. In the interview, he clarifies that he is there financially for all his kids and their mothers. Additionally, he says that he is often villainized because of the number of children he has. However, he believes it is not about what he does or says to his kids. Instead, it is how they feel when they are with him that matters.

Cannon explained that many of his partners are in the same age group. As such, he says they expressed anxiety about their biological clocks during the pandemic. So, he wanted to give them what they desired. He mentioned that they were all aware he had no interest in a traditional relationship before having children with him. He did not want to give half of what he built to someone he barely knew. Therefore, he would rather have an honest relationship than be with someone who claimed to be in love but still slept with others. Cannon has also bought homes for all the women he shares children with. Apparently, there is nothing they could ask for that he would say no to.

Nick Blames His Exes For His Toxicity

Nick Cannon is not perfect. However, the 42-year-old father of 12 does try to be present for his kids when he can. Recently, he rented out the entirety of Six Flags Magic Mountain for the twins he shares with Mariah Carey. However, Nick does often display some toxic behavior in the public eye. On May 4th, he took to his Twitter to place the blame on his exes for his toxic “origin story.”

“Shout out to all my toxic people that ever broke up with Somebody because they thought Somebody was about to break up with their Somebody!” Nick said, speaking in circles. “To all my ex’s Thanks for my toxic Origin story! Gladly turning into the Villain all y’all want me to be!!” It is unclear what he means about turning into the villain. While he is often trolled for having so many kids, he is generally not seen as an actual bad person. What do you think about Nick’s new interview and tweets? Is he a villain? Let us know in the comments below!

The Lovers & Friends Festival descended upon Las Vegas this weekend, delivering an unforgettable day of throwback rap and R&B performances straight from the 2000s. This highly anticipated event, curated by none other than the legendary Usher, paid homage to the classics while also showcasing some of the biggest names in the industry. From Usher himself to Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, Pitbull, Miguel, Christina Aguilera, and many more, the lineup was stacked with talent that left the crowd in awe.

The festival kicked off with palpable energy as the crowd eagerly awaited the first acts. Names like Da Brat, Yung Joc, and Dem Franchize Boyz, set the tone for the day with electrifying and nostalgic performances. It was clear that this event was not just another festival; it was a rap and R&B fan’s dream.

Jhene Aiko, known for her soulful and introspective music, delivered one of the standout sets of the entire day. Her enchanting vocals and captivating stage presence drew the crowd in, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere. To make her performance even more special, Aiko was joined by her boyfriend and baby daddy, rapper Big Sean. After their performance, Big Sean delivered a heartfelt speech, reminding fans that this was Aiko’s first show since giving birth to their child in November 2022. It was a beautiful moment that resonated with everyone in attendance.

Chris Brown, known for his incredible stage presence, took the spotlight and mesmerized the crowd. During his set, he brought out Tyga, much to the delight of fans, to perform their hit collaboration “Loyal.” The energy was through the roof as the duo commanded the stage, delivering an explosive performance that had the entire crowd singing along.

50 Cent, a true rap icon, showcased why he remains a force to be reckoned with. Giving fans a taste of what they could expect on his upcoming headlining tour. 50 took the audience on a journey through his illustrious career. Beyond the large collection of number-one hits, another highlight of his set was a special guest appearance by rising star Bia, who brought the house down with her track “Whole Lotta Money.”

As expected, Usher’s setlist was a journey through his iconic discography, but the surprise appearance by Summer Walker truly elevated the experience. The chemistry between Usher and Summer was undeniable, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement. You can tell that Usher not only puts his heart and soul into his performance but the festival as well, as it is arguably the best-curated lineup of the entire year.

Following Usher’s memorable performance, Christina Aguilera put on a set that was hard to follow by Missy and Mariah. The “Genie In A Bottle” pop star’s set was full of guests, including Redman for their track “Dirrty” and Lil Kim for their epic collab “Lady Marmalade.” The set was full of fireworks, pyro, and hits from the late ‘90s and early 2000s.

And then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the headlining performance by the incomparable Missy Elliott. The anticipation was palpable as the crowd erupted excitedly, despite a half-hour delay. Missy took the stage by storm, delivering an awe-inspiring performance filled with her greatest hits. From “One Minute Man” to “Lose Control” and “Work It,” she left no stone unturned, showcasing why she is a true icon in the music industry. Adding to the magnitude of the moment, Missy Elliott had recently been announced as part of the new class for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, becoming the first female rapper to achieve such an honor. It was a great moment that elevated her performance to new heights.

Fans already can’t wait for Lovers & Friends to hopefully return in 2024, but in the meantime, you can check out our favorite images from Lovers & Friends 2023 below.
