Lizzo Stuns In Barely-There Bikini

Lizzo is having an extremely low-key Coachella experience this year. To be more specific, she isn’t at Coachella. Lizzo made waves for her surprise appearance at the festival last year. At the time, she surprised fans by joining Harry Styles on stage for a performance. However, the “About Damn Time” singer seems to be taking some much-needed rest this year. On her Instagram, Lizzo updated fans with a new video to let them know just how well her Coachella weekend was going.

“Poolchella is going good,” Lizzo said in the caption of her video update. The singer donned a strappy pink bikini and lazed in the pool as music from the HBO show Euphoria played. This wasn’t Lizzo’s only video post this weekend, however. She also posted a video after hopping out of the shower. The video shows the singer with perfectly tousled hair and bangs talking about her beauty. She captioned the post, “I’m sorry that my perfect face & rockin body offends you… I can’t help that I’m God’s favorite.”

Lizzo’s Mission Is One Of Self-Love

Lizzo’s music is renowned for its powerful message of self-love, resonating deeply with her devoted audience. She has consistently commanded the spotlight in recent years, culminating in her impressive second number 1 hit “About Damn Time” last year. Her accolades, including 4 Grammy wins and 13 nominations, far exceed the norm for most pop singers in their entire careers, a testament to her exceptional talent. Yet, beyond her remarkable achievements, what truly shines about Lizzo is her unwavering passion for advocating for the underdog, exemplifying her profound compassion and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on those who are marginalized or disadvantaged.

Lizzo is also putting her money where her mouth is. She has even created a brand that is meant for all bodies. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar regarding the brand launch, Lizzo spoke about what she hopes to achieve. “I was like, I wanna create a product that, even if you see it, it’s not shameful. It’s not embarrassing. It’s actually sexy and liberating,” the singer said. “I…think all bodies are beautiful, and thin girls are beautiful and deserve to be models, and so do big girls and girls all in between.” What do you think of Lizzo’s message of body positivity? Nickleback Thank Lizzo After Passionate Defense

Is there a bigger musical meme than Nickleback? Despite the band’s deep catalog, which dates back to 1996, they are best remembered for being absolutely dunked on. Whether it’s “look at this photograph” or just the perceived generic rock they produce, no one talks about Nickleback seriously. Their most infamous hits include Photograph, Rock Star, and How You Remind Me.

In an ideal world, musical memes would all be held in the same regard as Smash Mouth’s All Star. However, for every All Star, you have multiple Nicklebacks, Rebecca Blacks, and other musicians memed not so positively. Despite this, it appears that Nickleback has a famous, and very passionate, fan in Lizzo.

Lizzo Questions Why Anyone Could Hate Nickleback

In a 24-second clip shared by Nickleback on social media, Lizzo defends the band while listening to How You Remind Me. “Why don’t people like Nickleback?” Lizzo asks at the start of the clip, “I feel like Nickleback gets way too much shit.” she continues. She then refers to How You Remind Me as a “jam”, saying the song has a “beautiful climax” before energetically singing along with the chorus. The clip ends with Lizzo expressing her love for the song’s “beat dropout.” It’s a charming and passionate defense of the band, of whom Lizzo is clearly a fan.

Nickleback captioned the clip with thanks to Lizzo. “Thank you @lizzo for the kind words!” the tweet began, “Open invite any show any time… maybe see you in Houston this summer?”. Lizzo is yet to respond to Nickleback’s tweet. By “maybe see you in Houston”, Nickleback is presumably referring to their July 23 show in The Woodlands, a northern suburb of Houston. Not to be the bearer of bad news for Nickleback, but unfortunately, Lizzo will be unable to attend. She will be performing in Sydney on July 23. Despite this minor setback, we hope Lizzo and Nickleback are able to link. Maybe there’s a secret Grammy-winners meetup we’re not allowed to know about. Regardless, Lizzo’s support may go a long way to helping change the general perception of the Canadian rockers. Nickleback has some legitimate bangers and they have endured widespread disrespect for far too long.

Nickelback Praised Lizzo After A Video Of Her Declaring ‘They Get Way Too Much Sh*t’ Resurfaced

Lizzo is the queen of compliments. The “Special” singer has made it a habit to publicly compliment other musicians she’s fond of, including SZA, Adele, and Beyoncé. Now, in a newly resurfaced clip, the songwriter didn’t hold back from showing love to the rock band Nickelback.

In the video, which dates back to 2019, Lizzo sat down with CBS Music to play a game of Jam Or Not A Jam. On the docket was the band’s 2001 song “How You Remind Me.” After being asked to put the song in one of the respective categories, Lizzo quickly says, ‘I think that this is a jam.’ But she didn’t stop there.

Well, it looks like Nickelback has finally seen the clip. To return the praises to the singer, they reposted it on Instagram, with the caption, “Thank you @lizzobeating for the kind words!”

Taking it a step further, adding, “Open invite any show any time… maybe see you in Houston this summer?”

During the segment, Lizzo asked, “Why do people not like Nickelback? I feel like Nickelback gets way too much sh*t,” referring to some of the hate they receive for their style of music. However, Lizzo believes it for another reason, “[Is it] because he [singer Chad Kroeger] had a curly blond perm? That’s the only reason they get sh*t because this is an amazing song.”

Kroeger also received a subtle compliment, as Lizzo said, “it has a beautiful climax,” in reference to his vocal build-up as she mimicked his singing style.

A Twitter Troll Shared Lizzo’s Naked Photo In An Attempt To Body-Shame Her, But Their Plan Backfired Hard

Over the past couple days, a Twitter user has been facing backlash after an attempt to body-shame Lizzo. Lizzo herself appears to have even offered a response. This story starts a couple years ago, though.

On April 20, 2021, Lizzo shared a naked photo of herself (with her most private areas covered) on Instagram and wrote, “WELCOME TO TAURUS SEASON. To celebrate I wanna give y’all this unedited selfie.. now normally I would fix my belly and smooth my skin but baby I wanted show u how I do it au natural — I am excited to be partnering with @dove and the #DoveSelfEsteemProject which is helping to reverse the negative effects of social media and changing the conversation about beauty standards. Let’s get real y’all.”

Then, a couple days ago on April 10, a Twitter user, who goes by Cassandra, responded to a tweet about the photo, writing, “Make obesity bad again.” Minutes later, she shared the photo, alongside one of herself, and asked, “Me or Lizzo?”

The post quickly gained traction, racking up about 3.8 million views in under two days. One user responded, “Lizzo. I don’t know you but Lizzo is a publicly kind and inspiring individual. Loving yourself and others should be the basis of humanity. She preaches that. I can only assume you’re terrible.” Cassandra replied, “You don’t know me but you think I’m terrible. Which speaks volumes about how terrible you are.”

Other users overwhelmingly chose Lizzo. One wrote, “To do what? You need to be more specific. To hang out with and have fun? Lizzo every single damn day. To clean out my garage? I guess you might be okay for that. It’s all in the details, ‘Cassy.’” Another wrote, “One has four Grammys and is classically trained on the flute. The other just posted a six year old blurred picture of herself drinking wine with ice from a straw. Lizzo. Truth hurts.” Somebody else chimed in, “you’ve chosen a bright unedited nude photo of lizzo and a dark blurry hard to see photo of yourself, and people are still choosing lizzo. Absolute loser areas cassandra.”

Even Lizzo herself appears to have chimed in, tweeting simply, “Lizzo.”

Lizzo Makes Hilarious Claim After “Mandalorian” Cameo

People typically associate Lizzo with a good sense of humor. She enjoyed being a Jeopardy! answer in 2019. There are also dozens of videos on YouTube titled “Lizzo’s funniest moments.” In an increasingly serious music industry, Lizzo’s levity and antics are eagerly welcomed by fans. What’s more, she has found success pushing a brand that balances levity with the sincere embracing of concepts like inclusivity, body positivity, and musical accessibility.

However, few people had “Lizzo cameos on The Mandalorian” on their bingo cards. Last week, The Mandalorian‘s Season 3 episode Guns for Hire starred Lizzo and Jack Black as the husband and wife rulers of a small planet. Overall, fans loved her larger-than-life, brightly-colored, Grogu-loving Duchess. It was a small but powerful role in a side plot episode of the show. Enjoyable, but unlikely to redefine Star Wars canon. That was until this past weekend when Lizzo took things a step further with a genius revelation.

Lizzo Crowns Herself As A “Disney Princess”

In a TikTok posted over the weekend, Lizzo argued that because she played royalty in Star Wars, that now makes her a Disney princess. Star Wars has been a Disney property since 2012, with The Mandalorian streaming exclusively on Disney+. Lizzo’s logic makes sense, she is technically Disney royalty now. However, legally speaking, she would only be Disney nobility. The title of Duchess is not a royal one, but a noble one. Despite this, things could be different in the Star Wars universe and we’re willing to let this slide for Lizzo. She is a confirmed Disney princess as far as we, and many of her fans, are concerned.

The comments on Lizzo’s video are full of fan support. However, many fans also note that she was already a queen in their eyes. Overall, the video is yet another light-hearted moment from the beloved pop star. However, there is one thing Disney could do to make the title truly official. With a live-action Princess & The Frog adaptation reportedly coming from Disney, maybe they could find a way to properly enthrone Lizzo. To quote The Duchess herself, it would be “about damn time.”

Lizzo Says Her Role In ‘Star Wars’ Makes Her A Disney Princess

Lizzo‘s appearance on The Mandalorian as The Dutchess Of Plazir-15 was amazing for many people, including Jack Black. She played his character’s wife, and he wrote on Instagram that it was “so fun” to work with her.

It got even better. Lizzo shared a revelation in a new TikTok: “YALL I JUST REALIZED THAT IM ROYALTY IN STAR WARS WHICH IS DISNEY WHICH MAKES ME A DISNEY PRINCESS,” she wrote over a video of her flexing pink-streaked hair and cool shades.

She recently revealed that she cried when she was offered the role. “When I was a young girl my dad introduced me to Star Wars like a rite of passage,” she wrote on Instagram. “The trilogy’s are his favorite movies and quickly became mine. When Jon favreau called me and offered the role of The Dutchess I cried all day wishing my dad was still with us cus he’d be so proud. Star Wars was a dream I never thought was possible— but thanks to Jon, Bryce, and everyone in the galaxy I am now part of the ever-expanding saga of the stars. I am in honorable company and forever grateful. This is The Way…. and May the Force be with you.”

Lizzo Links Up With TikTok Star To Promote Yitty

Lizzo is well known for promoting body positivity and self-love. The Grammy-award-winning singer often speaks out about loving yourself, both through her music and in interviews. Many celebrities who speak on matters like body positivity seem to simply be engaging in lip service to gain attention. Lizzo, however, takes it very seriously. Last year, Lizzo announced a project that she says was five years in the making.

In March 2022, Lizzo started her own brand of shapewear, Yitty. In her announcement, the singer wanted to make it very clear that the brand was for everyone, regardless of size or shape. “This is a dream 5 years in the making…. Introducing @YittyOfficial: Shapewear you can wear Underwear, Overwear, Anywhere,” she tweeted. “For Every Damn Body. 6X to Xs. Are you ready for the YITTY LIBERATION? Coming soon…” The brand’s Instagram page already has upwards of half a million followers, showing just how effective Lizzo’s focus on body positivity is when it comes to marketing. Now, the singer has teamed up with a TikTok star for some promotional pictures.

Lizzo and TikTok Star Aliyah Pose For Yitty

In a new Instagram post, the brand shared several pictures of Lizzo and Tiktoker Aliyah posing in pieces from the singer’s brand. In the photos, Lizzo rocks a denim two-piece paired with white fishnets and red faux-fur-adorned Moon Boots. Aliyah, on the other hand, was decked out in a green bra top, unzipped Yitty jacket, and light-wash denim skirt. The two don’t skimp on the accessories, either, with Lizzo making sure to show off her Yitty brand necklace. “Throw a [heart-on-fire-emoji] in the comments if you think this styling by @aliyasinterlude on C-E-Ho @lizzobeating is FIRE AF!” the caption read.

“I…think all bodies are beautiful, and thin girls are beautiful and deserve to be models, and so do big girls and girls all in between.” What do you think of the new pictures? Lizzo Cried After Being Offered A Role In ‘The Mandalorian’ Because Her Touching ‘Star Wars’ History With Her Dad

Lizzo just made her cameo in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. She played the role of the Dutchess Of Plazir-15, who is the wife of Jack Black’s character, Captain Bombardier. Black shared a selfie with Lizzo and wrote that he had “so much fun” working with her. Now, the “About Damn Time” singer shared her own post.

Alongside a photo burst featuring a selfie of her in costume, as well as another silly selfie with Black and other pictures, she wrote about how she cried after being offered the role. The caption reads:

“When I was a young girl my dad introduced me to Star Wars like a rite of passage. The trilogy’s are his favorite movies and quickly became mine. When Jon favreau called me and offered the role of The Dutchess I cried all day wishing my dad was still with us cus he’d be so proud. Working With Lizzo On ‘The Mandalorian’ Was ‘So Fun,’ Jack Black Said While Sharing Behind-The-Scenes Photos

The crossover we never knew we needed: Jack Black shared a photo with the one and only Lizzo on Instagram. The pair are working together in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, and in the picture it looks like they’re both having a great time on set.

“So fun working with @lizzobeeating on @themandalorian as the king and queen of Plazir-15!!!” Black wrote in the caption.

The “About Damn Time” singer was only making a cameo. This happens during episode 6 of season 3, playing the role of the Dutchess Of Plazir-15, who is Black’s wife. Fans loved this unexpected coupling.

Meanwhile, Lizzo’s deal with Amazon Studios was recently extended since her Watch Out For The Big Grrrls show won an Emmy. “I’m thrilled to continue this partnership with the Amazon team after an incredible experience on season one of Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” she shared about the exciting news in a statement. “I’ve witnessed lives change through this show, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue making space for even more Big Grrrls around the world to shine and break down barriers across this industry.”
