Lil Uzi Vert Reveals What It’s Going To Take For Second Album Drop

Lil Uzi Vert should be basking in the spotlight of their latest album, The Pink Tape. However, the man is still hungry for recognition, as well as for dropping more music. On July 4th, Lil Uzi posted to their Instagram story a picture of the album cover with the caption, “Get this [to] number one… And I will drop [the] album [y’all] really looking for.” He completes the story with two shushing emojis, referring to the top-secret nature of this mysterious second album.

It’s clear Lil Uzi Vert thinks that, while The Pink Tape is a solid collection of songs, there’s a separate tracklist that hits even harder. They’re saving that second drop for a rainy day or, in this case, for when Pink goes number one. When they says that, they mean going number one on the Billboard 200. To top the charts with their entire album would be quite an accomplishment. With so much new music dropping in 2023, it’s difficult to own a top spot on the Billboard chart.

Lil Uzi is currently performing songs from this most recent album, but they want to give people even more music. From a live stream, Vert confirmed they wouldn’t release a deluxe version of The Pink Tape, instead opting for a complete second album. Whether it’s a sequel or response to Pink is unclear, but the project seems almost ready to drop. There’s only one thing for fans to do, and that’s make sure Lil Uzi tops the charts. Honestly, it’s fantastic marketing.

In other Lil Uzi news, it might happen that The Pink Tape hits number one all on its own. First-week sales projections have it ending the week at the top spot, with Young Thug falling short of taking the number one crown. For almost months, Morgan Whalen has been killing the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. Perhaps it’s time for hip-hop to claim the throne. In the meantime, Lil Uzi Vert will be mobbing in their 1-of-1 Rolls Royce, living the good life with a best-selling album.

Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pink Tape’ Will Not Have A Deluxe Edition, Instead They Will Drop ‘A Whole New Album’

After years of delays, Lil Uzi Vert finally released their highly anticipated album, Pink Tape. The “Just Wanna Rock” rapper secured guest features from Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and more. As fans continue to shift through the project, Uzi is making it clear that they’ve washed their hands of the body of work. Instead of following the trend of dropping an extended version of an album, Lil Uzi Vert has let supporters know that Pink Tape will not have a deluxe edition.

The entertainer appeared via audio on Twitch streamer Kani Rose’s broadcast. As fans flooded the live chat, they pushed Rose to ask the musician about their new album. When the gamer asked Uzi whether or not Pink Tape would have any additional iterations, they quickly answered, “No.”

However, Uzi clarified that they would release more music, saying, “But I will drop a whole ‘nother album.”

The album was caught up in controversy before its release when Lil Uzi Vert and their girlfriend JT (of City Girls) were involved in a physical altercation at the 2023 BET Awards.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape” Breathes Life Into Today’s “Fire Emoji” Update

Unsurprisingly, today’s Fire Emoji playlist is mostly an homage to Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape, which the Philadelphia native finally fed us after years of anticipation. The earliest first week sales projections suggest that the lengthy effort could become hip-hop’s first No. 1 album of 2023, which would certainly be exciting. If you’re curious about LUV’s LP, but don’t want to sit through the entire tracklist, our weekly picks are the perfect sample selection.

Kicking things off is “Flooded The Face,” which makes a great addition to any workout playlist. Our next pick, “Aye” features Travis Scott, marking yet another successful collaboration for him and Uzi. We’ve previously heard them together on “Watch” with Kanye West and “Go Off” alongside Quavo. We would be remiss not to include “Endless Fashion,” which is getting lots of love thanks to Nicki Minaj’s appearance. Our final Pink Tape pick is “Suicide Doors,” another solo effort from the Eternal Atake artist.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist

The Queen of Rap didn’t only connect with Uzi on our Fire Emoji update this weekend – she actually appears twice. Ahead of her Pink Friday 2 project, Minaj has also teamed up with Young Thug for “Money,” and the Barbz are having a hard time deciding which of her two new contributions they like better. In addition to that, we also hear from The Alchemist and Earl Sweatshirt on “RIP Tracy,” and Rylo Rodriguez shines on “End of the Road.”

Our final two picks for the first weekend of July are “TRUTH OR DARE” from CHIKA and Freddie Gibbs, along with Jay Rock and Kal Banx’s “Eastside.” Check out our full Fire Emoji playlist update exclusively on Spotify above. Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape” First Week Sales Projections Are A Potential No. 1, Young Thug Album Moves 88K

Lil Uzi Vert has been keeping us on our toes with teasers of his Pink Tape album for years now. On Friday (June 30), the highly anticipated effort finally hit DSPs, much to rap lovers’ relief. It came complete with 26 tracks and appearances from Don Toliver, Bring Me The Horizon, and Travis Scott. Perhaps one of the most well-received titles on LUV’s new release is “Endless Fashion” with Nicki Minaj. The Queen of Rap contributed a verse that she’s revealed was nothing short of “exhausting” to complete.

Little more than 24 hours after Pink Tape made its debut, it’s being reported that it could mark the first No. 1 hip-hop album of the year. Uzi’s last LP, Eternal Atake, arrived to great success in early 2020. It subsequently moved 288K album-equivalent units and earned 400M US streams in its first week. At the time, it was the fourth-largest streaming debut the music industry had seen, so it’s no wonder the Philadelphia native took their time with dropping the follow-up.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape is a Hit

At the time of publication, Twitter is facing issues preventing us from receiving exact first week projections for Pink Tape. Regardless, knowing that the fashion icon could help hip-hop achieve such a major milestone is exciting.

It was thought that Young Thug might be the man for the job last month, however, he unfortunately fell short to Morgan Wallen after selling 88K. The country superstar has been topping the carts for several weeks now, but could very well be dethroned by Lil Uzi Vert in the coming days.

Nicki Minaj’s Verse On Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pink Tape’ Left Her ‘Exhausted’ With How Long It Took To Get Done

Nicki Minaj wears her ability to pen her own revered rap verses as a badge of honor. Despite how easy the “Barbie World” rapper makes it look, it is nothing of the sort. In a series of tweets on social media, Minaj opened up about her appearance Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape drained her.

Her latest guest appearance on Uzi’s track “Endless Fashion” is being celebrated as their best collaboration to date, but it was quite overwhelming to get finished on time for its’ release. During a chat with fellow rapper and Uzi’s girlfriend JT, Minaj retold the story to fans.

JT prompted her to, writing, “Can I tell them how fast you turned your verse in? I almost had a heart attack today![crying laughing emoji] you really too real & raw I love you.”

To that, Minaj replied, “Girl, I started at 8 am & finished like 5 pm. When I tell you, I was exhausted by the time I was done. Lol. B/c I was rushing to get it in on time. I kept telling him ’30 mins’ then hitting him back 2 hours later TB 15-20 more minutes Uzi!!!! I did that ALL DAY LONG, YO!”

Lil Uzi Vert & Nicki Minaj’s ‘Endless Fashion’ Just Gave Fans Another High-End Collaboration To Add To Their Collection

Asap Rocky isn’t the only fashion killer in hip-hop. Lil Uzi Vert has gone on the record to declare their flyness. But on their new track “Endless Fashion” featuring Nicki Minaj, their designer obsession sores to new heights. As one of the breakout tracks from Lil Uzi Vert’s new album, Pink Tape, the rappers continue their magically collaborative streak.

On the track produced by Bugz Ronin, the pair boasts about their designer buds. In the second verse, Minaj flaunts her exclusive access to revered designers, rapping, “Ayo, even if my name was Natalie, none these b*tches still couldn’t chin-check me / That’s word to Chanel, it ain’t nothin’ to see, bitches on TV channelin’ me / Harajuku Barbie, Roman Zolanski, from Red Ruby to Chun-Li / I put door knocker earrings in Fendi, then stamped the trench coat Burberry.”

But before she closes her verse, there are a few more brands she wants to highlight, rapping, “I was really in the field with Karl Lager’ (Oop), now it’s Heaven campaigns / Check-in with Dapper Dan when I’m in Harlem / My n****s’ll blow like Virgil.”

Lil Uzi Vert joins in to shout out their favorite labels rapping, “These rappers can’t dress, yeah, they just be hatin’ / I never ratted, but got all the statements / Stopped wearing Kapital ’cause it got basic / I still wear Kapital, Uzi, stop fakin’ / I used to wear more Number (N)ine than Asians / I mix the Greg Lauren, purple label.”

Fashion and music go hand in hand. Lil Uzi Vert and Nicki Minaj are just the latest to highlight the symbiotic relationship.

Travis Scott Brings The Energy To His New Collaboration With Lil Uzi Vert For ‘Aye’

Lil Uzi Vert just unleashed Pink Tape. With 26 tracks, an unexpected cover of System Of A Down’s “Chop Suey,” and features from Nicki Minaj, Bring Me The Horizon, Don Toliver, and more, it’s a must-listen. However, the most exciting collaboration on the album might be “Aye” with Travis Scott.

“Aye” is sure to be a hit as a live performance. The track is invigorating all the way through: “I put them diamonds my teeth (Aye) / Might put somе diamonds my nose (Aye) / Aye, I put them diamonds my teeth (Aye) / Might put some diamonds my nosе (Aye, huh?).” The two rappers together bring a lot of energy to the table.

The unveiling of this song is a relief for fans of the “Sicko Mode” performer, whose highly anticipated new album Utopia still doesn’t have an official release date. However, billboards recently intimated that the album might be arriving on July 21. The ongoing delay is a result of the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, which he will not face charges for: “He never encouraged people to do anything that resulted in other people being hurt… Travis is not responsible,” his lawyer Kent Schaffer said. There were 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Lil Uzi Vert Delivers 26-Track on New Album 'Pink Tape'

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape is upon us. The new release is a massive 26 tracks deep and brings in Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Bring Me The Horizon, and BABYMETAL. The new album features the uber-popular single “Just Wanna Rock”

According to Billboard, before the launch of the album Lil Uzi Vert hosted a prom-themed album listening party at Irving Plaza in New York City, with Lil Baby and City Girls’ JT on hand.

During an appearance at The Summer Smash Festival on last Saturday (June 24), Lil Uzi stated the album would be coming “in a couple of days.” He held true to the statement.

Gibson Hazard directs the animated trailer and shows the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper preparing for a final battle after ousting all his other animated opps after his pink diamond is removed from his forehead.

You can hear the new album below.

Over the weekend, Lil Uzi Vert was on hand in Chicago for the Summer Smash Festival, and after he revealed the album would come before the end of the month, he would send the crowd into a frenzy with a stage dive.

In addition, Uzi would perform a new song, presumably on The Pink Tape, during his set.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Unexpected Cover Of System Of A Down’s ‘Chop Suey’ From ‘Pink Tape’ Has Fans Divided

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape has been a long time coming, but at last, it’s finally here. The project dropped at midnight and since then, it has taken over social media. Fans have been particularly whipped into a frenzy by the song “CS,” which turns out to be a cover of System Of A Down’s 2001 signature song “Chop Suey!.”

After the album’s release, the phrases “Chop Suey” and “SOAD” were trending on Twitter. Some Uzi fans are pumped, like one who wrote, “Lil Uzi Vert sampling Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE theme song, doing a cover to System Of A Down’s classic Chop Suey, and making a song with bands like Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL was not on my 2023 bingo card. I have 0 complaints. It kicks ass and I want more of it.”

Meanwhile, some System Of A Down enthusiasts aren’t super impressed. One tweeted, “me seeing that system of a down is trending only to realize that people are talking about some mid ass chop suey cover,” alongside the meme of SpongeBob SquarePants‘ Squidward setting up a folding chair before going back inside in disappointment.
