Rich The Kid Grabs Rob49 For Extended Version Of “New Chanel Freestyle” Off His Recent Album

During the fairly stacked month of July, Rich The Kid put out his fourth full-length offering, Life’s A Gamble. There was a fair amount of hype behind the release, outside of it being his first solo work in four years. Perhaps the biggest reason is because of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s involvement over the entire album. The VULTURES creators were credited as executive producers, which is always a benefit. Both have great ears for beats, and they didn’t run of out taste for the Georgia native. One of the best beats Rich The Kid selected was for “New Chanel Freestyle”.

Sure, the track only clocks in at 1:26, but SkipOnDaBeat was really in his bag with this one. The bass, kick drums, and 808s are mean mug worthy and it has an overall intimidating presence when it kicks in. After Rich’s verse ends, it certainly sounds as if there could’ve been another verse. Well, he’s doing exactly that this weekend, but it’s not coming from him. Instead, he brings on Rob49 to tie things together. See how the Louisiana native performs with the audio link below.

Rich The Kid Delivers “Life’s A Gamble”, Executively Produced By Kanye West

“I feel like everything in life’s a gamble. You walk out the front door, you could get hit by a bus. Everything’s a gamble. I’ve taken wins and losses with my career, and I felt it was a perfect title”. That was Rich The Kid explaining the meaning behind the title of his latest studio album, Life’s A Gamble to Billboard. This is the Queens, New York native’s first solo record since 2020’s BOSS MAN. However, he did drop two collaborative tapes that same year —Origin and Nobody Safe— and Trust Fund Babies with Lil Wayne in 2021.

While a fair number of those past releases had lukewarm results, Life’s A Gamble, hopes to perform better. It helps that Rich The Kid has built up a lot of momentum coming in. A lot of that stems from him being on the number one record “CARNIVAL” off of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 1. Speaking of those two, Rich The Kid grabbing them to executive produce this LP had fans licking their lips. Finally, the lead singles, “Gimme A Second” and its sequel, as well as “Band Man”, have also been performing well.

What we can say about LAG is that you can tell that Kanye and Ty were big contributors. That is especially true when it comes to the production. For the most part, the beats and the guests attached are the stars of the show (Chief Keef, Offset, Quavo, etc.). However, Rich does have solid performances here such as “Gimme A Second” and “Not In The Mood”. But will all of this be enough to negate the long wait and numerous track and feature removals? It sure is a gamble and we will see if it pays off for Rich The Kid soon.

Rich The Kid Finally Releases “Band Man” Along With Peso Pluma Collab “Gimme A Second”

Rich The Kid is the midst of pretty big comeback. The Queens, New York rapper is still riding high off being on one of the biggest records of 2024. That of course is “CARNIVAL” off VULTURES 1. For some, the track came and went. But there is no denying that it was being played everywhere at the time of its release. Now, we are gearing up for Rich The Kid to make his solo return possibly sometime this summer with Life’s a Gamble.

After some pretty underwhelming projects, namely BOSS MAN and Trust Fund Babies, it is clear that he is going big or going home on his third album. Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are the executive producers and rumors say there will be a crazy number of features. One of those we know now, as Peso Pluma makes an appearance on “Gimme A Second.” This one of two singles that Rich has put out, with the long-awaited “Band Man” being released in unison.

Listen To “Gimme A Second / Band Man” By Rich The Kid & Peso Pluma

Both tracks do not really stand out from a lyrical perspective, even though Rich has never been seen as a wordsmith. But where both singles shine are production wise, perhaps to no surprise. DJ Durel, “Gimme A Second”, and d.a. got that dope, “Band Man”, both lay down some tight trap instrumentals. Each one has a distinctive vibe and overall carry the tracks. However, we have to give credit to Peso Pluma, as he does bring an animated performance.

What are your thoughts on “Gimme A Second / Band Man” by Rich The Kid and Peso Pluma? Which track do you prefer out of the two and why? Does this get you excited for Life’s a Gamble? Who had the stronger performance on “Gimme A Second?” We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics From “Gimme A Second”:

Gotta flex a lot
I was broke as hell walkin’ around passin’ CD’s in the parking lot
Now my little b**** want five racks for a new bag ’cause I’m rich enough (Rich enough)
P***y good, had to pay for it, let me knock it out like The Juggernaut (Juggernaut, yeah)
Let me stop (Hold on)

Rich The Kid Reveals The Roles For Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign On Upcoming LP “Life’s A Gamble”

Rich The Kid has been laying low for the majority of these last couple of years. However, 2024 appears to be the year that we get to hear more from the Queens, New York native. The big reason for that is his guest appearance on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES banger “CARNIVAL.” It is has become one of the biggest tracks in hip-hop, but also in general. The song just went number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and it still sits atop the TikTok Top 50 as well.

However, Rich The Kid has plenty more going on than just that one track. Fairly soon, he will be returning with his first solo record in four years. Life’s a Gamble is expected sometime this spring and there are lots of rumors swirling around who will be featured on it. But, according to HipHopDX, we can now officially say Rich The Kid will be working with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign in some shape or form.

It would be revealed through a now deleted Instagram post from Rich in which he was also thanking people for getting “CARNIVAL” to go number one. In the caption we now know that Ye and Ty will be handling executive production duties. “Thank you to all the fans, my family that always support love! #V2 & My album exec prod. by Ye & Ty$ OTW.” This is certainly exciting news, given the track record of the VULTURES creators. With all of this hype around Life’s a Gamble, hopefully, it does better with the fans.
