Anthony Edwards is the shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Nicknamed “Ant-Man,” he has quickly risen to prominence in the NBA. Davis went from being the WBA’s Regular champion for four consecutive years before moving on to holding the WBA lightweight title since 2023. Jalen Brunson

Jalen Marquis Brunson, the talented point guard for the New York Knicks, has played a central role in his team’s resurgence. Since signing with the Knicks in 2022, he has made his presence worthwhile. Known for his leadership, court vision, and scoring efficiency, Brunson has helped guide the Knicks to a successful season. Jalen Hurts 

The current holder of this award, Jalen Alexander Hurts is looking for a second win at the 2024 BET Awards. He has had a standout season, demonstrating his prowess both as a passer and a runner. He joined the Philadelphia Eagles as their quarterback in 2020 and has been a phenomenal addition. Hurts has led the Eagles with remarkable poise, helping them secure important victories. It’s no surprise why he’s the most nominated in this category, with 20 nods to his name. With nine wins, he’s also the most awarded and is looking to extend his record to 10 at the 2024 BET Awards.

Patrick Mahomes

Three Super Bowl wins in five seasons is a remarkable feat, and Patrick Mahomes can proudly boast of this accomplishment. The superstar quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs has once again proven why he is considered one of the best in the NFL. Mahomes’ exceptional talent, including his strong arm, quick decision-making, and ability to perform in high-pressure situations, has led the Chiefs to numerous victories. Since becoming the Chiefs’ quarterback in 2018, the team has had several AFC Championship Game appearances and four Super Bowl appearances. His career accolades have earned him a spot on this list.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry, the iconic guard of the Golden State Warriors, continues to revolutionize basketball with his exceptional three-point shooting. Curry’s ability to change the dynamics of a game with his long-range shooting has earned him numerous accolades and a massive fan following. His performance in the past season was marked by clutch shots and record-extending moments. At the 2024 BET Awards, Curry stands a chance of extending his number of wins to six!

James was joined by his wife, Savannah, and agent Rich Paul. James could opt to be a free agent this summer, the same season his son, Bronny James, can be drafted.

James left the game during the closing moments of the 109-102 Celtics win.

In a thrilling display of determination and skill, Jamal Murray led the Denver Nuggets to a series-clinching victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Nuggets Coach Michael Malone added, “He just told me, ‘I’m glad I played because I don’t know if we win if I don’t play tonight.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s the understatement of the year.”

In a stunning display of resilience, the Denver Nuggets secured a Game 3 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, extending their win streak over the Lakers to an impressive 11 games. Despite facing a double-digit deficit for the third consecutive game, the Nuggets emerged triumphant with a final score of 112-105.

Aaron Gordon led the charge for the Nuggets, delivering a Playoff career-high performance with 29 points and 15 rebounds. He was supported by a formidable quartet of Nuggets players, including Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr., each contributing over 20 points to the team’s victory.

Gordon and Jokic made history as the first teammates to achieve at least 20 points and 15 rebounds each in the same Playoff game since 2011. With their dominant performance, the Nuggets now have the opportunity to sweep the Lakers for the second consecutive Playoffs, a feat not achieved since LeBron James’ Cavaliers swept the Raptors in 2017 and 2018.

Despite Anthony Davis’ consistent scoring efforts for the Lakers, posting his third-straight 30/10 game in the series, and LeBron James’ commendable performance with 26 points and 9 assists, the Lakers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 5-for-27 from deep.

“You come out with the mindset, ‘Let’s get one, force a Game 5, and then we go from there,’” James said. “As long as you still have life, then you obviously have belief. I just think you play ’til the wheels fall off.”

As the Lakers face an uphill battle, trailing 0-3 in the series, they aim to defy the odds and become the first team in NBA history to overcome such a deficit to win a series. The pivotal Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday, marking a crucial moment in their quest for redemption.

Avengers assemble! 2024 Team USA will look to dominate Olympic basketball, headlined by LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.

Joining that Hall of Fame and superstar trio representing America will be Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, Tyrese Haliburton, and Kawhi Leonard, the latest addition.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Steve Kerr will coach Team USA. Training camp and exhibitions for the Olympics will begin in July, and the games will take place in Paris from July 26 to Aug. 11.

SOURCE SPORTS: Former NBA Guard Raymond Felton Says Carmelo Anthony Was Greater Scorer Than LeBron, Durant and Jordan

Former NBA guard Raymond Felton, a long-time teammate of NBA future hall of famer Carmelo Anthony, claims Melo is the greatest scorer he’s ever seen and even better than the biggest names in the scoring GOAT conversation.

In a recent appearance on the Run Your Race podcast, Felton proclaimed Anthony was more of a pure scorer than his Airness himself, Michael Jordan, and King James, Kobe, or T-Mac Tracy McGrady, who’s often in the conversation. 

“That dude, just the way he can score, how easy it is for him, I don’t know nobody who’s better, to be honest with you. I’m talking Tracy McGrady, I’m talking about MJ, I’m talking about Kobe, LeBron, all these guys. The way he used to score at every level, I don’t know nobody who’s better, for real,” Felton said.

“Post-up, got footwork, midrange is impeccable, shoot the three, athletic, can dunk on you, get to the basket, had handles like a point guard. I’m just saying – whatever you want, he can give to you,” Felton went on to say. “Whatever you want. ‘If you want just midrange all game, I got you. You want me to post you up? I got you. You want me to shoot the three? I got you.’”

Get this: When he was asked if Anthony could be compared to or even overtake Kevin “KD” Durant, Felton said Durant was no match for Melo’s game in the post.

Felton concluded with more on the topic … “I haven’t seen KD go off in the post like I’ve seen Melo go off in the post. Can KD score? For sure. Good gracious. That man can score easily. He scores easily for him to be 7-feet. They keep saying 6’11. That man ain’t 6’11. That man 7-feet, 7’1. That man [is] tall. But Melo, I’ve seen Melo score everywhere. I haven’t seen KD just get somebody in the post and I’m just gonna do you dirty, just post the whole game. I’ve seen Melo do that,”

I mean, he’s saying a lot, but how wrong is he? If at all. It’s sure a debate. Melo was one of the greatest scorers of all time, but better than KD, Kobe, MJ, and the reigning all-time scoring champion, LeBron James? Sheesh. That’s a tall order. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

GloRilla Judged LeBron James’ Rapping Skills In Reaction To His ‘Yeah Glo!’ Video

LeBron James impressed Metro Boomin when he rapped along to Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” verse during warmups ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, March 31. GloRilla heaped more praise onto the ever-expanding LeBron James Praise Pile during the latest episode of Club Shay Shay.

Host Shannon Sharpe asked for GloRilla’s reaction to James posting a video of him dancing and rapping along to her February single “Yeah Glo!” The Memphis rapper explained that she found out about it while getting a massage and noticing her phone “blow up” on the “little massage table” and initially blowing it off before finally looking and seeing that “everybody [was] calling me, like, ‘LeBron just posted your song!’”

GloRilla said she “instantly reposted it,” and then she hit up Rodeo Drive to get something to wear to the Lakers’ game that night because “this is one of the best — not one of the best — this is the best player in the league right now.” Glo paused to clarify that the late Kobe Bryant is her favorite player, but James is second.

Sharpe rained on her parade, saying, “He ain’t know not one word.” GloRilla countered with, “He knew the words! He did! I done watched LeBron rap songs and not know the words for real. He knew ‘Yeah Glo!’ He probably ain’t say, like, certain words, but that was good for him because he don’t be knowing songs for real. He knew more words than usual when he was singing ‘Yeah Glo!’”

Drake Offers A Subtle Response After LeBron James Was Seen Rapping Along To Kendrick Lamar’s Diss About Him

LeBron James had a big game the other night, when his Los Angeles Lakers bested the Brooklyn Nets 116-104. He wound up with 40 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the field, including nine three-pointers (which ties a career high). Metro Boomin couldn’t help but notice that James’ big night came after the NBA star was spotted rapping along to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Like That,” a highlight from Metro and Future’s new album We Don’t Trust You.

That verse, of course, made waves when it first dropped for apparent disses against J. Cole and Drake. Drake caught wind of LeBron’s moment with the song and had a subtle reaction: He liked an Instagram post sharing the video.

This comes after Drake used Instagram to offer up with some took as other reactions to the song. In one post, he wrote, “They rather go to war with me than admit they are their own worst enemy [crying laughing emoji].” He said in another, “I could never sell ya’ll out to sell my latest work. Never do you bad out the blue but I’m down to make it worse.”

So, at this point, unless he’s saving it for a diss track or something, it looks like these subtle shots may be all we get from Drake in terms of a “Like That” response.

LeBron James went OFF on Sunday night. During his trip to Brooklyn to take on the Brooklyn Nets, King James dropped 40, including a career-high nine threes to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 116-104 win.

What sparked the performance? How about a little bit of Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar? In pregame, King James was spotted wrapping to Lamar’s diss verse in “Like That.”

And you can best believe Metro Boomin peeped. He hit X to celebrate the song running through LeBron’s head and his performance on the court.
