YSL RICO Public Defender Receives Pay Raise After Considering OnlyFans Career

The public defenders involved in the YSL RICO case may be working for millionaires like Young Thug, but that doesn’t mean they’re bringing in the big bucks themselves. At the beginning of the month, it was revealed that lawyers who signed on to the high-profile case were awarded a salary of just $15K for a case that’s anticipated to span at least a year. On top of the embarrassingly low income, attorneys are unable to work any other files at the time, rendering them essentially unable to bring in more income with their legal expertise.

At the time, legal representative Angela D’Williams spoke out about the situation in the media, revealing that she was considering selling adult content as a way to secure more money in this tough economy. “This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour,” she previously told WSB-TV. “I need something to survive off of. We were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us, and once they put those walls up, I’m thinking I need to start an OnlyFans.”

Angela D’Williams Advocates for Higher Pay Amid YSL RICO Trial

According to the latest update, D’Williams won’t need to turn to OnlyFans after all. Thanks to the efforts of her and other lawyers working the YSL RICO trial, the GPDC has agreed to up their pay from a measly $15K salary to $55K, marking a substantial increase. While it’s certainly not the same amount Thugger was raking in in his prime, it’s enough to not have to begin a second career as a sex worker.

Things have only continued to grow messier in the Atlanta courtroom, with Young Thug taking two trips to the hospital in recent weeks. On top of that, we’ve also seen an attorney arrested, and another avoid jail time by purchasing chicken wings. Are you still keeping up with Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial? Tory Lanez’s Lawyer Speaks Out Once Again

The case of Tory Lanez is as hotly debated as ever, even after a guilty verdict. Moreover, now the rapper and his legal team seek a new trial after saying that the court made mistakes in his original case. In fact, his lawyer Jose Baez acted as a strong supporter of Lanez both in court and on social media. Recently, he took to his Instagram Story to call out untrue reports in the case and brought up studies on its effects. “Mistaken eyewitness identifications contributed to approximately 69% of the more than 375 wrongful convictions in the United States overturned by post-conviction DNA evidence,” Baez posted. “@torylanez #freetory #freetorylanez #freetory!!!!.”

Furthermore, this comes after Tory Lanez shared an open letter asking for a second chance. For those unaware, a large piece of evidence against him was a phone call where he admitted to and apologized for the incident. “Until my court date I’ll be posting the OUTRAGEOUS & DISGUSTING INJUSTICES used against me by the PROSECUTION to get the conviction they so DESPERATELY wanted, DESPITE the evidence they knew existed,” he captioned the letter’s post.

YSL RICO Public Defender Contemplates Starting OnlyFans Due To Pay Struggles

Though it officially began several months ago, little headway has been made in regards to the YSL RICO trial. Some of the defendants, including Gunna, previously accepted plea deals allowing them to return to freedom. Others, like Young Thug, remain behind bars. Just last month, the “Day Before” artist filed for his fourth attempt at bond. The first three had already been rejected before proceedings even began. Thugger’s fans have been expressing their sympathy for the embattled artist and his situation. However, it seems the public defenders working on the YSL case are the ones who could really use some support.

Attorney Justin Hill spoke candidly about the low wages he’s received for his work with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He reportedly signed on to the case for little more than $7K. Now, he’s looking at bringing home $15K when all is said and done. Despite the fact that his income has more than doubled, the lawyer believes he could make more from working at a fast food joint, seeing as the YSL trial may potentially take years to complete.

“For at least a year’s worth of full-time work, that’s essentially less than minimum wage,” he vented to the outlet. “To be honest, I could make more money working at Chick-fil-A as a cashier,” Hill added. Still, he has no plans to walk away from Young Thug and the other YSL defendants. “I don’t think any of us want to come off this case. We just need to be adequately compensated,” he reasonably explained. Elsewhere, another attorney named Angela D’Williams spoke with WSB-TV about her situation, which has her contemplating turning to selling adult content.

“This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour,” she explained. “I can’t take any new cases, I can’t close any cases. I need something to survive off of. We were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us, and once they put those walls up, I’m thinking I need to start an OnlyFans.” Williams apparently submitted. request for additional funds in March, and later heard back from the director cancelling their meeting. As Bossip notes, a spokesperson for the Georgia Public Defender Council told WSB-TV that they’re currently “working to find [more money]” for lawyers being impacted. Tory Lanez’s Lawyer Claims To Have New Evidence Releasing Today For National DNA Day

Tory Lanez’s efforts to free himself from behind bars have become increasingly intense as of late. This past weekend, the embattled Canadian penned an open letter claiming that his trial with Megan Thee Stallion was unjust. Now, his new lawyer is claiming to have some interesting new evidence expected to be revealed later today. User @baezlawfirm on Instagram shared the news early on Tuesday (April 25) morning via a Story post. “Today is National DNA Day,” the attorney’s message began.

“We are happy to announce that Tory Lanez will be releasing information about the DNA in his case that gave false and misleading information to his jury,” Jose Baez later added. To conclude, the R&B star’s legal representative threw in a “#FreeToryLanez,” obviously hoping to get his client back to freedom in the near future. “You know he’s legit because he posted this on his Story…” one person quipped in @theneighborhoodtalk’s comments. “Give it up, Delicious!!!” several others wrote.

It remains unclear when Lanez plans to unleash his big news. Still, the aforementioned letter he wrote certainly gave us some insight into how he’s been feeling since his December 2022 arrest. “Until my court date, I’ll be posting the OUTRAGEOUS & DISGUSTING INJUSTICES used against me by the PROSECUTION to get the conviction they so DESPERATELY wanted, DESPITE the evidence they knew existed,” the father of one wrote in an IG post shared on his behalf last week.

His message to the LA District Attorney was markedly softer in tone, reading, “I write this message with the utmost humility, love, and respect for the remarkable stance you’ve taken in regards to fighting for the justice of Black and Brown minorities. Today I take a stance as an innocent Black Man, wrongfully convicted of a crime I DID not commit,” the Chixtapes hitmaker penned. “I was completely robbed and deprived of a fair trial.” Are you curious to see what Tory Lanez’s attorney has to share with the world today? Young Dolph Murder Suspect Gets New Lawyer Mid-Trial

The man accused of putting out a hit out on Young Dolph is reportedly getting a new lawyer in the middle of his trial. Moreover, AllHipHop reports that Hernandez Govan showed up to court without his lawyer William Massey and therefore without representation, according to WREG. Furthermore, Masey represented Govan for almost half a year before this incident seemed to throw a wrench into things. Lee Coffee, the presiding judge, stated that his absence suggested “that some sort of conflict had arisen.  I don’t know the nature of it.” Still, it seems like the court found a quick, albeit imperfect solution.

After this occurred in the trial of Young Dolph’s murder, the court appointed attorney Manny Arora to represent Govan. However, he was not in the courtroom given that he is licensed to work in Tennessee, not where the case is located. To sidestep this, local lawyer Handel Durham Jr. will take over in-person counsel. Meanwhile, prosecutors said the new team will have to “get up to speed” to not delay or obstruct the case any further. Also, prosecutor Paul Hagerman added that “he may already be up to speed and he has all of the discovery.”

To elaborate, Govan allegedly hired Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith to target Young Dolph, and now faces conspiracy charges for first-degree murder. Unfortunately, law enforcement either doesn’t know or hasn’t revealed the motivation for the tragic attack. Aside from the trial, the hip-hop world and the community at large continue to honor the Memphis MC and preserve his legacy. For example, a pop-up museum commemorating his memory recently hit various U.S. cities.

Also, Key Glock recently reflected on signing with the “100 Shots” rapper in an Esquire interview. “It really just happened out of the blue,” he remarked “It wasn’t even a plan. I got into some trouble. I got incarcerated. And then close to the time for me to come home, my auntie was married to Young Dolph’s uncle. She told him, ‘You know, Key doing his thing… He just reached out to me and it went from there. They always let me do me, let me be me. No matter what it was. Music or just everything in life. From my first song, I just had so much confidence in myself. I don’t know if they were gassing me up or not, but to me, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, this song hard.’” For the latest on Young Dolph, stay posted on HNHH.
