Coi Leray Takes Shots At Latto And Trippie Redd On Her “Blue Moon” EP

Coi Leray might be feeling herself, but she deserves it. Hot off the release of her brand new EP Blue Moon on August 30, the Boston, Massachusetts-born rapper talks a lot about her career. After a disappointing response from fans and critics on her last album, she wanted to stick to her guns and put out material she excels with. “The EP, I get deep, I get vulnerable. I got tired of “trying” new things and wanted to just do what I do BEST.” You can check out more information on the project here.

Now that the EP is here, fans and listeners are taking the time to look more into the lyrical content. Sure enough, people are starting to notice there are some shots being sent towards a few artists in particular. The most glaring one is Latto, who took a figurative body shot at Leray on her popular track “Put It On Da Floor.” Latto raps, “Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray / Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade.” Coi did not take that diss lightly responding, “Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this s*** is never ending. These b*****s wanna be like the n***** so bad.”

Take A Listen To Coi Leray’s “Isabel Marant:”

Trippie Redd was also caught in the crossfire, as he used to date Coi Leray. The bar that has people talking is on the song “Isabel Marant.” She raps, “Yeah, I’m on they a** / Hop out on that couch and roll up Latto out the bag / I don’t need a stylist, they can’t f*** with Coi Leray / Try to count me out and now I’m big as Trippie Redd.” It is certainly a diss towards the two rappers. More beef could be coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned.

What are your initial thoughts on the song “Isabel Marant” by Coi Leray? Did you catch the shots at Trippie Redd and Latto on the first listen? Why do you think she fired back at Latto? Latto Shows Off Plaques, Sports Savage X Fenty Lingerie

Latto looks more confident than ever in a recent post on social media. On Monday(August 28), the Atlanta rap star took to Instagram to show off her curvaceous figure. Donning a slinky, all-back lingerie set from Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty brand, she leaves little to the imagination. Latto also used the collage post to show off record plaques she’s racked up over the years. Celebrities and fans alike filled the rapper’s comment section, showing their appreciation.

“#Sliving,” wrote Paris Hilton, which is internet slang for slaying and living your best life. “BIG LATTO,” rapper Tia Corrine replied. Even rap legend Rakim commented on the 24-year-old’s comments to share fire emojis. While Gloss Up dropped off a couple of heart-eye emojis.

The rapper recently shared a post in a gold bikini, channeling an island vibe. She also used the post to promote her recent single, “Unavailable,” with Afrobeats star Davido. “Unavailable, unapproachable, out of reach / I got ninety-nine problems and it’s never me,” she raps on the track. “Out here dragging that wagon like a f**king G / You took everything from me but accountability, tuh,” Latto’s lyrics continue. The rapper has been releasing a string of hit singles as of late. She recently reached a Spotify milestone thanks to her collab with South Korean singer Jungkook.

The track “Seven” has become the biggest streaming debut for any rapper in global Spotify history. In other related news, during a June interview with Cosmopolitan, Latto opened up about her vision of the future. She admitted to wanting to transition into acting as well as model her career after Rihanna. “I want to get in my acting bag, because I see myself going out like Rihanna. I don’t see myself doing music forever. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I’ve been doing it for so long already. Sometimes you just want more. I just did my first little acting gig the other day and I fell in love with that.8 I like more serious roles.”

Latto Twerks To New Davido “UNAVAILABLE” Remix In A Gold String Bikini

At this point, we’re seriously starting to think that the success Latto has found with her recent singles may have something to do with the constant twerking she’s been doing to help promote them. Like many other rap divas, the 24-year-old is an expert at making it clap with no hands, both on and off stage. No matter how often she throws it back, however, the internet never seems to tire of watching Latto’s booty bounce.

Upon sharing another single this New Music Friday (August 18), the “Wheelie” hitmaker couldn’t help but throw on a bikini to film a TikTok dancing along to it. After diving into the world of K-Pop with Jungkook earlier this summer, Latto joined Afrobeats artists Davido and Musa Keys to remix their “UNAVAILABLE” hit. For her part, the blonde beauty raps about not being down with people in her circle acting shady, continuing to prove how strong her pen game is with every bar.

Latto Promotes Her New Davido Collab

In the video shared on social media yesterday afternoon, Latto soaks up the sunshine in a golden string bikini. As “UNAVAILABLE” blasts, she confidently climbs on top of a chair and table while rapping along to her verse. “Unavailable, unapproachable, out of reach / I got ninety-nine problems and it’s never me,” she reminds us before leaning forward to effortlessly twerk her cosmetically enhanced clappers. “Out here dragging that wagon like a f**king G / You took everything from me but accountability, tuh,” Latto’s lyrics continue.

As she continues to promote her new “UNAVAILABLE [Remix]” with her bootylicious antics, Latto also doesn’t want you to forget about her other recent contributions to the world of hip-hop. Specifically, she thinks “Put It On Da Floor” is worthy of the title of Song of the Summer. Here Are The Afro Nation Detroit Set Times For 2023

The Afro Nation festival series is arguably one of the most important live events in today’s Black music market as it bridges together the genres pioneered by Black entertainers, including Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, Amapiano, R&B, hip-hop, and more. At the inaugural installment of Afro Nation Detroit 2023 this weekend (August 19 and 20) held at the Bedrock’s Douglass site, artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Ari Lennox, Latto, and will amplify the sounds heard around the world.

Burna Boy spoke with Los Angeles Times journalist Kenan Draughorne about the growing movement amongst native Africans and people with African ancestry living around the world, saying, “They’ve successfully broken us apart, to where many of us don’t even want to identify with each other. The primary objective for our people should be unity, and to build a bridge between us that can never close or break. With the music, I try to play my little part in trying to do that.”

Afro Nation Detroit is a mere example of this comradery, with music at the center of it all. View the set times below.

Limited VIP and general admission tickets are still available for Afro Nation Detroit 2023. Find more information here.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

The latest criticisms against Latto have been all about the Atlanta-based artist seemingly taking a little too much inspiration from her contemporaries, such as Ice Spice and Sexyy Red. She doesn’t seem too bothered by the hate, especially given the success the 24-year-old has found with all of her recent releases. She and K-Pop sensation Jungkook broke countless records with their “Seven” collab, and not long before that she and Cardi B gave us the Song of the Summer with “Put It On Da Floor Again.”

This New Music Friday (August 18), Latto is back with more heat. She hopped on the remix of Davido and Musa Keys’ “UNAVAILABLE,” which first arrived on the Afrobeats artist’s Timeless LP at the end of March. It’s since racked up over 65M streams on Spotify, as well as a Major Lazer remix. For her part, the 777 hitmaker joined the rapper and producer to spit about taking note of the toxicity she deals with from others in her life.

Davido & Musa Keys’ “UNAVAILABLE [Remix]” Gets the Latto Treatment

“Unavailable, unapproachable, out of reach / I got ninety-nine problems and it’s never me,” the blonde beauty‘s verse begins. “Out here dragging that wagon like a f**king G / You took everything from me but accountability, tuh,” she continues before turning up the heat a notch. “To have Latto, an incredible artist who we all love jump on the record, bringing her incredible energy to this song is pretty special and I can’t wait to see everyone having a good time all year round to this song,” Davido said of his experience working with her, as per Uproxx.

Davido And Latto Double Down On Their ‘Unavailable’ Status On Their Scorching New Remix

Davido and Latto aren’t here for the games. Tonight the afro-fusion hitmaker has teamed up with one of the hottest voices in raps for a remix of one of his hits, “Unavailable.”

On the fiery remix, Davido maintains his unavailable status, while Latto doubles down—both of them distancing themselves from the B.S. of trifling people.

“Unavailable, unapproachable, out of reach / I got ninety-nine problems and it’s never me / I have dragged that wagon like a f*cking chief / You took everything from me, but accountability,” raps Latto on her verse.

The song’s original version has become a global hit for Davido, and with Latto tearing up the charts in both the pop and hip-hop realm, it’s only fitting that she adds her magic touch to the remix.

“I am so excited to see how far ‘Unavailable’ has gone globally and seeing everyone hop on the dance across the globe has been awesome,” said Davido in a statement. “To have Latto, an incredible artist who we all love jump on the record, bringing her incredible energy to this song is pretty special and I can’t wait to see everyone having a good time all year round to this song.”

You can listen to the “Unavailable” remix above.

Latto And Rakim Aren’t Sweating The ‘Technique’ On Their New Collab

Week by week, Latto has been giving her magical touch to new singles. Whether she’s dipping her toes into the K-Pop pool with BTS’ Jung Kook, or revving up her engines with Jay Rock and Anderson .Paak, you can bet she’s coming through with the flames. Tonight (August 18), Latto is giving a fiery update to a rap classic with her new single, “Technique.”

“Technique” features a sample of Eric B & Rakim’s song, “Don’t Sweat The Technique” as Latto adds a feminine, Atlanta touch to the New York classic.

In addition to dropping so much new music this summer, Latto also announced that she has teamed up with Wing Stop, which will now be selling a “Latto Meal.”

“my man has the Latto Meal every night but y’all can now too at @wingstop for a limited time,” she said in an Instagram post announcing the deal.

While Latto has alluded to the aforementioned man on several occasions, she has not yet revealed his identity. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, she said that she plans to keep it this way.

“If something is special to me, I’m going to keep it close to me,” said Latto, “because everything else has to be front and center about my life.”

You can see a special conversation between Latto and Rakim above.

Latto’s Bikini Collection Covers Her Sun-Kissed Curves In Greece: Photos

It’s been a busy few weeks for Latto, but even with a hectic schedule to deal with, the Atlanta-based starlet still has a lot to be grateful for. She and Jungkook scored the rap diva’s first ever No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts thanks to their “Seven” collaboration, and she impressed us with her acting skills on a recent episode of Grown-ish. There was also the apparent diss from Coi Leray, who’s been cooking up new music in the studio, but Latto doesn’t seem to be letting that get to her.

Instead, the 24-year-old made it clear that she’s “unavailable” with a scantily clad photo dump which captures her vacation in Greece. Letting her humour shine through her thirst traps, Latto began her post with a photo that shows SpongeBob thirstily running his tongue up her booty cheek as she sits in the driver’s seat of a boat, holding what appears to be a fruity drink. For that snap, she wore a beautiful red, orange, and yellow bikini, and while modelling for the following snaps, she was sure to show off plenty of her other favourite swimsuits.

From rocking a beige-coloured top with wooden beads adorning the straps to matching her Louis Vuitton purse and sandals, it’s obvious that Latto knows a thing or two about fashion. We also see her swimming through the beautiful blue water, booty on full display above the waves, and soaking up the sun, looking as regal as ever in a golden two-piece.

Days before she posted up in Greece, Latto couldn’t help but brag about her mystery man (again) on social media. In her latest flex, she revealed that he sent a private jet to come pick her up, simply because he was missing the “Wheelie” hitmaker by his side. See that video at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Coi Leray Name-Dropped Latto In A New Song Snippet, Despite Not Taking To Kindly When The Rapper Mentioned Her

Apparently, Coi Leray has changed her view on her name-dropping policy within your music. In April, Latto mentioned Coi in her song “Put It On Da Floor.” After getting wind of the track, Coi took to social media to unleash a string of firey posts commending Latto’s actions. Latto cleared the air during her Coachella appearance, declaring that she wasn’t taking aim at Coi but rather showing her love. Eventually, Coi admitted that she overreacted, officially ending the short-lived feud.

Now that their short-lived feud is over, Coi took a page from her fellow entertainer’s book by incorporating Latto’s name in her upcoming song. In an Instagram video captioned, “Rager Girl Activated,” Coi lip-synced to the record while in the studio.

“Yeah, I’m on they ass / Hop up on that couch and roll a Latto out the bag / I don’t need a stylist they don’t f*ck with Coi Leray / Tried to count me out, but now I’m big as Trippie Redd,” rapped Coi. The line references Latto’s stanza in “Put It On Da Floor,” when she said, “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray.”

Coi did put out a call to her fellow emcees to join together for one massive all-women mega track. Maybe this is the first step to getting the ball rolling.
