Cardi B’s Thrown Microphone Sells For Almost $100k At Auction

In one of the most viral moments of the year so far, late last month Cardi B threw her microphone at a fan while on-stage. More and more details rolled out in the days following. Though Cardi had asked someone to douse her with water to fight the Las Vegas heat, the fan appears to have thrown some kind of alcohol on her. She also may not have the best aim the world, as the fan who was hit by the microphone insists that they weren’t even the one who threw the drink. It all culminated in an investigation into the incident for potential battery charges by the Vegas police department. That investigation ultimately led to no charges being filed against Cardi.

Last week, the microphone that Cardi threw popped up for sale on eBay. Cleary fans were serious about wanting the piece of Cardi B memorabilia as more than 120 bids were placed on the item. According to TMZ, what began as a mere $500 auction quickly elevated into something much more substantial. The auction wrapped up Tuesday morning revealing that the microphone sold for an astounding $99,900. The microphone was reportedly auctioned off by the production company who owns it. The company also claims that the proceeds will be donated to two charities.

Just last week Cardi B and Offset released their new collaboration “JEALOUSY.” The song played into their public roles as a couple and featured plenty of hilarious bars throughout. Offset himself recently went on Good Morning America to explain how he procured Jamie Lee Curtis’ involvement in a promotional video for the song. Turns out all it took was an Instagram follow from the rapper.

After she seemed to be teasing towards her second studio album earlier this year, information has dried up completely. Bullets Recovered From Nevada Home to be Tested for Possible Link to Those That Killed Tupac

Details of an investigation into a Las Vegas home in connection to the murder of Tupac Shakur continue to pour out. The Daily Mirror notes .40 caliber bullets were recovered from the home belonging to Duane “Keefe D” Davis. Davis long suggested his nephew, Orlando Anderson, killed 2Pac.

The bullets are set to have forensic testing “to determine if they have any link to the bullets found in 2Pac’s body or on the scene of the homicide.”

An insider to the case revealed, “Microfibers or residues from the weapon or the bullet could prove to be a link. There is no information yet on the history of the bullets, how old they are or their significance. And it will take some time to assess how the bullets play a role in this case.”

Previously, a list of items taken from the raid of a Las Vegas-area home that is reportedly tied to the murder of Tupac Shakur has been revealed. According to TMZ, laptops, iPads, a USB, and a hard drive were secured from the home. Books and pictures were also taken from the scene. Of the books was Keefe D’s Compton Street Legends.

On Tuesday (July 18), news broke of a search warrant executed in Las Vegas in connection with the 1996 murder of Tupac. According to TMZ, the home was owned by a woman named Paula Clemons, the wife of Keefe D, who has long been at the center of conversation involving Pac’s death.

The warrant was executed in Henderson, Nevada, which does not have a statute of limitations for prosecuting homicide cases.

“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation,” Las Vegas police said in a statement. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

According to CBS News, retired Los Angeles police detective Greg Kading stated the case was solved as Keefe D, born Duane Davis, confessed to his involvement in the crime while he was being questioned in connection with the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. Details of what was recovered at the Nevada home if anything, have not been disclosed.

In April 2022, on the Bomb1st podcast, Former Death Row muscle Reggie Wright Jr. added more to the rumor mill about the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur, saying that the last man alive in the car which fired the fatal shots that killed Shakur will be charged with the decades-old crime this year.

Wright says that the Las Vegas Police Department has been ramping up their investigation into the Shakur murder.

“Let’s put it this way, I bet Keefe D [has] been having the runs for the last two weeks,” Wright said. “Because yeah, they are knocking on doors and there’s some activity.” Wright even made a challenge out of the rumors and urged viewers to predict the date on which Keefe D will be arrested this year while promising a prize to whoever predicts the correct date.

Jack Harlow Performs Show In Vegas For Kevin Hart’s Birthday

Comedian Kevin Kart is no stranger to crossing over with musicians. He’s got quite a few famous industry friends and proved it with a recent birthday celebration. Zouk nightclub in Las Vegas booked an entire weekend of shows to celebrate Hart’s birthday and some big names showed out. According to HipHopDx, J. Cole, Ludacris, and PARTYNEXTDOOR were among the list of performers. But for Hart’s 44th birthday, the festivities were wrapped up by Jack Harlow. Not only did Harlow close things off by performing some of his biggest hits, but he even let Hart share the stage of them. A video of the pair singing along to “First Class” hit the internet after the party wrapped up.

It’s far from the first time Jack Harlow performing that song has drawn attention in recent weeks. Last month he played the Power Our Planet benefit show for climate change alongside a stacked lineup. Despite “First Class” being a massive hit, the audience didn’t know the words when he performed it. Harlow attempted to get the crowd to sing along to the song but they clearly weren’t very familiar with it.

Just yesterday, Jack Harlow was in Vegas for the unveiling of his Madame Tussauds wax figure. Unlike some celebs who find their wax imitations to be a bit underwhelming, Harlow couldn’t believe how accurate his own was. A video posted by the museum showed the rapper looking completely stunned by how realistic his wax depiction is. Fans agreed as pictures of Harlow side by side with the statue quickly went viral.

Back in April, Jack Harlow released his new album Jackman. The project was short, just 10 tracks that add up to 25 minutes but netted him some pretty solid hits like “They Don’t Love It,” and “Common Ground.” He also made an appearance on the star-studded DJ Drama project earlier this year. Louisville-born rapper Jack Harlow has joined the ranks of entertainment’s brightest stars with the unveiling of his first-ever wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, the world’s renowned wax museum. Harlow’s figure, clad in a custom-designed suit from his music video “Churchill Downs (feat. Drake),” pays homage to his Kentucky roots. The ivory-colored suit, created by Musika New York and designer Aleks Musika, was prominently featured in the video filmed during the 2022 Kentucky Derby. To further represent his hometown, Harlow’s figure’s hands are adorned with a crystallized necklace featuring a pendant shaped like the state of Kentucky.

The unveiling of Harlow’s wax figure was celebrated over the weekend when close family and friends joined him. Later that night, Harlow took the stage at Zouk Nightclub to further commemorate the occasion.

Charlamagne Tha God says that Usher is the bad guy in the recent drama regarding Keke Palmer’s trip to Las Vegas to see the singer perform. The actress attended one of Usher’s shows over the weekend while wearing a see-through dress. Her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, complained about her attire on social media afterward.

“The man walks around the residency scouting on a straight search and destroy mission, looking for women to find so he can pull them out of the crowd, serenade them and destroy their household,” Charlamagne said on his show, Monday morning.

As for Jackson’s posts, he complained about Palmer’s outfit while writing, “you a mom.” In a follow-up tweet, he added: “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Palmer and Jackson appeared to unfollow each other on social media afterward. J. Cole recently performed at Zouk Nightclub as part of Hartbeat Weekend. The multi-day event celebrated comedian Kevin Hart’s birthday, with performances at clubs around Las Vegas by various notable acts. The celebration began on July 6, and wrapped up yesterday (July 8). “Hartbeat Weekend has always been an amazing celebration of comedy, culture, and music, so you know we had to bring out all the stops for this year’s return,” Hart said of the event.

J. Cole performed several fan-favorite tracks like “Power Trip” and “No Role Modelz.” The event kicked off at Zouk with another performance by Ludacris on July 6. Jack Harlow also put on a celebratory show at Zouk yesterday (July 8). Hartbeat Weekend additionally featured comedy shows, live music from Kaskade, and sets from Party Next Door and Rock The Bells.

Prior to his performance at Harbeat Weekend, J. Cole was also seen at the NBA Summer League’s opening night in Vegas. The North Carolina-raised artist saw the San Antonio Spurs take on the Charlotte Hornets, defeating them 76-68. Michael Jordan recently sold his majority stake in the Hornets to the Buyer Group, which is led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall. J. Cole is part of the group, which also includes country star Eric Church. According to reports, Jordan sold his stake to the group for $3 billion in June.

J. Cole has been spotted courtside frequently, and even reportedly sat next to Adin Ross at Game 3 of the 2023 NBA Finals. At the end of last month, the streamer revealed that he used the opportunity to pitch the “No Role Modelz” performer a potential video collaboration. According to Ross, he asked him if he wanted to go to Fayetteville, where J. Last night, Sphere, the monumental structure in Las Vegas, transformed its exterior, known as the Exosphere, into a giant basketball to celebrate the beginning of the 2023 NBA Summer League. The Exosphere displayed a welcome message to teams, players, and fans, marking the start of the annual event. Throughout the 11-day competition, Sphere will showcase NBA Summer League content on its exterior.

Sphere has become a global icon as the world’s largest spherical structure, standing 366 ft tall and spanning 516 ft across.
