Boosie Badazz Is Tired Of People Blaming Gucci Mane For His Label Artists’ Issues

Some of Gucci Mane’s artists under his 1017 label have seen tragic and unfortunate ends to their careers, whether it be Enchanting’s passing or the prison stints of rappers like Ralo. While many fans are sympathetic to these situations and advocate primarily for the well-being of all, others make occasionally disrespectful and always dismissive assumptions about how Guwop should be at fault for these circumstances. Boosie Badazz is one of many who is tired of this narrative against the Atlanta-based legend, as he remarked during his most recent VladTV interview with DJ Vlad. The media personality brought up this connection, and Boosie responded in kind.

First of all, he posited that any artist’s level of success and struggle is ultimately their responsibility above all else, and comes directly as a result of their choices. Boosie believes that Gucci Mane ultimately helps more than he harms, given that he gave these MCs a platform and a chance at a career that may not have appeared otherwise. Specifically, he mentioned Pooh Shiesty as someone who found a lot of acclaim and success, due in part to Gucci’s support and guidance. But at the end of the day, the artists themselves are who can take advantage of this opportunity and use it responsibly.

Boosie Thinks Gucci Mane Gets Undue Hate For His 1017 Artists’ Circumstances

In addition to all this, it’s important to note that the individual situations of 1017 artists can also fall victim to systemic issues in the justice system, such as excessive punishment, discrimination, and lack of a fair process. This is one of the reasons as to why Boosie thinks that being a rap CEO can be a “thankless job” that risks big investments with possibly meager returns. Also, there’s the chance that these artists can eventually turn on their supporters and the labels and people that help them get off the ground. This hasn’t happened much in Gucci’s case, but it’s nevertheless a difficult balance to strike.

Overall, Boosie praised Gucci Mane for his candid thoughts and efforts on these subjects in the quest to support his artists, and thinks that the industry needs to acknowledge how complicated these situations can be. “I was one of those type of artists, I was always going back and forth to jail,” Gucci told Keyshia Ka’oir in the All Things podcast’s first episode. “I try to help those artists that I feel I see a lot of myself in. But I feel like if I’m not helping them, who else gon’ help them? Nobody says that part of the story.”

Coi Leray Reveals Why She Left Republic Records

Artists having creative disagreements with their labels is a tale as old as time. Almost any artist who has been in the music business long enough probably has an example of a time they had to fight back against their label. Earlier this year, Coi Leray announced that she had moved on from Republic Records after dropping two projects on the label in 2023. Since then, she’s been releasing singles on Island Records which appears to be her new home going forward.

In a recent video she shared to social media, Coi discussed why she parted ways with Republic. Following the underwhelming sales of her album Coi, the label didn’t believe in her follow-up EP Blue Moon. She claims that they refused to put money behind an advertising budget for the project, forcing Coi to pay for it herself. She also revealed that they pushed her to make pop records like Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande. The creative disagreement eventually led to the two sides splitting up. Check out the full video of her explanation below.

She took to Instagram to show off some of her fiery dance moves following her weekend two performance. Coi has also been teasing some pretty substantial changes to her own artistry recently. She took to Twitter last week to discuss the possibility of dropping the “Leray” from her name and just going by Coi. Fans were divided on the move with some thinking she already has a good established brand and others thinking just Coi by itself is cute. In a different tweet she claimed that her fans were too obsessed with “baby Coi.”

What do you think of Coi Leray’s explanation of her relationship with Republic Records? Do you think she’ll be given more room to make the music she wants on her new label? Let us know in the comment section below.

DeJ Loaf Blasts Moneybagg Yo’s Loaf Boyz Label For Allegedly Stealing Her Name

DeJ Loaf has been around for a while in the hip-hop game, so much so that people seem to have forgotten her influence. At least, that’s what she alleged on Thursday (February 8), as she recently blasted Moneybagg Yo for allegedly stealing her name for his Loaf Boyz label. For those unaware, he signed a new deal with 10K Projects, their first as a lone label following their exit from Warner Music Group. In fact, the Memphis rapper wanted to release a compilation to celebrate, yet he remains signed individually under Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint. It’s unclear if this caused a delay in the compilation, but regardless, Loaf wants them to recognize her input.

““Ay y’all don’t let these n***as call themselves ‘Loaf’ It’s only One!” DeJ Loaf expressed in a recent Instagram post. “And it’s yo mf baby.” “Pay HOMAGE f**k n***a,” she added in subsequent IG Story posts. “It’s only 1 LOAF!” the “Harpo!” MC shared. “Fytb. They tried to steal everything I came in the game with. My name I ain’t going for! Originality at its finest.” Overall, even though this seems like just a case of coincidental similarities, it looks like it might develop into more direct beef.

DeJ Loaf’s Messages To Moneybagg Yo

Moreover, Moneybagg Yo’s Loaf Boyz affiliate ShotOff, also known as Fat Wizza, who took to the social media platform to launch some mocking responses. “This b***h say we took her s**t wit the loaf all my fans go spam this cancer patient looking ass b***h,” he said of DeJ Loaf. “If u [wanna] be #loafBoyz just say that tf h*e u is not relevant stop it. I can’t believe this B. Shawty ain’t been s**t since smurk left. We understand u tryna be relevant again baby just ask for a loaf contract we’ll still sign yo broke a**. Dej whoooooooo!! This Loaf S**t For the having, not the have nots, and she definitely a have not.”

Of course, these aren’t the most important allegations Moneybagg dealt with over the past few months. That might go to cheating accusations concerning his relationship with Ari Fletcher. Apparently, they’re “peaceful and happy” over there, so we’ll see if he says the same of this supposed name-biting. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Moneybagg Yo and DeJ Loaf.

I don’t like when y’all sh*t on 2Pac,” he said at the time. “If he was living YALL wouldn’t step r talk about PAC n then death row n****s! 2Pac was a great lyricist. The claim about the label offer comes after Ave made headlines, earlier this month, for threatening to fire off a diss track at Uncle Murda. The rapper had mentioned Ave in his annual “Rap Up 2023.” In response, Ave wrote on Instagram: “Damn do I gotta ‘WRAP this n***a UP.’” Regardless of the post, DJ Self of Power 105 revealed afterward that Ave doesn’t plan to release the response. “Troy Ave has expressed to me that he has a response to the response of Uncle Murda’s response, do that make sense?” he said. “Out of love and respect for Uncle Murda, he has decided not to drop the song. He said he recorded something because he’s an artist, and artists, you know, they pen [their] words down.” Check out Ave’s latest post on Instagram below.

Bun B Confesses That UGK Rejected “Big Pimpin’ 2” With Jay-Z

“Big Pimpin’” is easily one of the best and biggest crossover hits between the East Coast and the South. As such, a sequel sounds like a fantastic idea, but one half of UGK recently explained why they didn’t think it was very feasible. Moreover, Bun B recently joined Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast alongside Statik Selektah to talk about, among other things, their new album Trillstatik 3. At one point during their conversation, they eventually got around to “Big Pimpin’.” The Houston legend explained that the duo’s label, Jive Records, wanted them to do “Big Pimpin’ 2,” but succinctly pointed as to why it wouldn’t have been the best idea for financial and creative reasons.

“UGK was [the late Pimp C]’s baby, and he would put his heart and soul into it,” Bun B remarked. “And he didn’t wanna do all of that to get to this point and do one song with somebody and have his legacy perverted. That was the way he looked at it. When we were getting ready to do the next album, the label, Jive, was like, ‘Let’s do a ‘Big Pimpin’ 2.’ Let’s buy a Jay-Z verse, let’s buy a beat from Timbaland, let’s get a video from Hype [Williams], and let’s do it again, boys!’

Bun B Speaks On Pimp C, Jay-Z & “Big Pimpin’”: Watch

Then, the Trill Burgers boss revealed that their first collaboration already sunk them in some debt with the label. “I was like, ‘If I don’t do a song with JAY-Z and Timbaland, do I still get a Hype Williams video?’” Bun B elaborated. “It was never, ‘No.’ They were like, ‘Why wouldn’t you want that?’ What? Besides [the] $2.5 million in the hole from the first song we recorded?” Also, he theorized that Pimp C wouldn’t have considered a Hov verse as “equal value to him” if they proposed a song-for-song trade agreement.

In fact, regarding these Southern pioneers’ history, Pimp apparently didn’t want to do “Big Pimpin’” at first out of respect for Tupac Shakur. Eventually, he and Jay squashed this dispute across a dinner table, but perhaps some feelings keeled over for a sequel. Either way, we’re glad that the original remains intact and didn’t ruin itself with a second attempt at lightning in a bottle. On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Bun B, UGK, and Jay-Z.

Blueface Reveals Jaidyn Alexis Owns MILF Music

Blueface has been a drama machine over the last couple of years. Overall, a lot of this has to do with his relationship with Chrisean Rock. They recently had a child together, although now, they are not together. Instead, Blue has been back with his first baby mother, Jaidyn Alexis. Now, however, it seems like he is no longer with her. There have been numerous hints on social media that these two are not on good terms. For instance, Alexis took all of her MILF Music booking information out of her Instagram bio.

Of course, Blueface was pushing MILF Music pretty heavily as of late. He was in the studio crafting hits for Alexis, and it seemed like things were going well. Moreover, we saw videos of these two celebrating their success with the label. Of course, working with Blueface can prove to be pretty fickle. With Alexis taking the label out of her bio, it was believed that she had left the imprint. However, as it turns out, she can’t really do that. In the Instagram story below, Blueface explained how MILF Music is hers.

Blueface Speaks

“Fun fact: milf music LLC is in Jaidyn’s name she’s the soul proprietor of the corporation, I own nothing,” he wrote. Overall, this is quite the revelation. Furthermore, it just goes to show that Jaidyn Alexis IS MILF Music, whether she likes it or not. In the end, if she wanted to sever all ties, she would need to go to the label directly and break the contract. This puts her in harm’s way if she feels like she doesn’t want to deal with it anymore. Needless to say, Blue has protected himself in case of an emergency.

Let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed on your favorite artists and all of their upcoming releases.

Blueface Lists Off The Signees On His MILF Music Label

From rapper to label head? “Yeah aight.” That is the career path that Blueface is seemingly taking right now after a recent tweet saying that he was going to retire. “I don’t rap I retired I’m the label now.” It comes as a surprise considering the fact that he has been putting out some material and guest verses as of late. However, if this is the case, there might be a path to success for him. While he might not have any top-flight lyricists, he certainly has some interesting characters on his roster.

According to XXL, Blueface’s record label, MILF Music, became official back during the middle of summer this year. The first artist to come on board with him is his now fiancée, Jaidyn Alexis. He confirmed this in a reply to someone who asked why she was first on the list. “She the First Lady duhh.” The original criteria to be a part of this entertainment group was to be a woman with kids.

Blueface Has Five Artists On MILF Music

“Milf Music is officially the label. I’m only signing women with children. Your BD [baby daddy] is your only reference that I can use. If he don’t vouch for you, I ain’t f***ing with you. You don’t have to be a rapper. I just need to see star quality in you.” However, after his recent calling out of Lil Mabu, it seems that he has gone against his own requirements. On top of that, Chrisean Rock is also on the roster, including another Cali native, Jay Cinco, as well as X.o Rico.

What are your initial thoughts on Blueface showing off the roster for his MILF Music label? Do you think this will become one of the biggest recording names in the industry? Will he be able to sign more names, or will some bigger fish join him? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that on mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
