Amid her social media spat with Sexyy Red, some have suggested that 46-year-old Khia is navigating through a time of financial struggle. The rap diva obviously doesn’t release music in the same capacity as she used to, and when she is in the news, it’s typically for painting other artists in an unflattering light. Still, Khia has a trick or two up her sleeve when it comes to securing the bag. However, she has a history of lashing out at anyone refusing to pay up for her selfie-taking services.

‘Oh y’all didn’t know Khia charge for pics?” one Twitter user earlier this week as the “My Neck My Back” hitmaker was trending online. “That’s been a known thing in Atlanta for a long time. That’s why you never see fan photos 😂😂,” the OP added. In response to this, another user shared their personal experience with having refused Khia’s payment request. “She tried to charge me $10 for this gas station selfie in Atlanta,” they recalled on the second slide of the post below.

It’s been a notably tense few weeks in the world of hip-hop, and as Scorpio season wages on, it doesn’t seem as though that’s going to be changing. Currently, Khia and Sexyy Red’s beef is taking centre stage, following a new video from the former that reads the latter to filth. “We the people vs. fugly, non-Sexyy knocked-up a** Red,” her lengthy rant aimed at the St. Louis native begins. “Your a** is being charged with not being ashamed of your God d**n self. Doing h*e s**t then being mad about it. Being a deadbeat mama, a deadbeat daddy, a deadbeat daughter, and a deadbeat Young Thug lookalike,” Khia went on.

The “My Neck, My Back” hitmaker then compared Red to a “wrinkled bedsheet” while labelling herself a queen. “Suckin’ on toes and balls at the same d**n time. Getting pissed and shi**ed on and tryna come for a real Queen,” Khia continued to list her opp’s various charges. “Tryna clap back with the Clap,” and “looking like some crust in a ni**as drawers” also made the list, along with the Philly native’s theories about Sexyy being unable to deliver her baby vaginally due to a history of STIs.

CA femcee Saweetie quickly shot to the top of the charts with her smash single “My Type”, but capitalizes off popular songs wit her own rendition of catchy punchlines and hooks. One of the artists that Saweetie sampled was “My Neck My Back ” rapper Khia, who candidly says she doesn’t like Saweetie or the remake of her song.

In an interview, the Philly born/Florida raised rapper was asked whose remix of her song did she like the least, to which Khia almost immediately replied, “Saweetie, sweet pea, I don’t like her.” “cy Girl” was Saweetie’s take on “My Neck, My Back”. Khia goes on further to say that no one really did her song any justice, including other artists who sampled her work, including City Girls JT and Yung Miami.

Khia Says Saweetie Didn’t Do Justice To “My Neck My Back”

Saweetie claims sampling is her “specialty” but some of the artists she’s sampled in the past may have simply cleared her record for the cheque. Khia, specifically, took issue with the Bay Area rapper’s 2018 single, “Icy Girl,” which samples “My Neck My Back.” During an interview with Jamari Bailey over the weekend, Khia shared her stance on people sampling her hit record but Saweetie got the worst of it. “Least favorite would be Saweetie – sweet pea. I don’t like her, I don’t think she did it any justice,” she said. “I didn’t even like green sweet peas when I was young.”

Unfortunately for the “Best Friend” rapper, she continues to face backlash for her musical efforts. However, she’s certainly not the only person to sample “My Neck My Back” in recent times. Besides Saweetie, YG and City Girls have sampled the hit song by Khia for records like “Pop It” and “F*ck That N***a,” respectively. The Thug Misses rapper said both records were “okay,” but she said nothing’s really stood out. “Nobody have gave it justice yet,” she said.

Khia Checks Saweetie 

It seems unlikely that the Bay Area rapper will air out this issue or even acknowledge it online unless she really wants to spark a war on social media. However, there’s a good chance Khia’s name will be brought up in Saweetie’s next interview. The single, “Icy Girl,” arrived on Saweetie’s High Maintenance EP. However, the use of the sample turned into Saweetie’s claim to fame as months before her EP dropped, a viral clip of her freestyling to Khia’s record began to circulate online.

The “Tap In” songstress has undoubtedly came a long way since her debut EP. However, we’ve yet to get an update on her debut album, Pretty Bitch Music. At this point, it seems like the pressure’s weighing on her to deliver. This seems especially true after the criticism surrounding her low sales from her EP last year. “It’s a balance of just, um, excitement and stress because I want to put it out, but it’s also just that stress of like, dang, I been on the scene for awhile,” she told E!
