Young Nudy Is Keeping His Fans Fed With The Cover Art And Tracklist For His Food-Themed Album, ‘Gumbo’

New music from Young Nudy is coming soon. Yesterday (February 24), the rapper took to Instagram to reveal the cover art and tracklist for his food-themed album, Gumbo.

Gumbo boasts a hefty tracklisting that reads like a list of ingredients. It appears Nudy was also joined by some collaborators, who helped him cook up something great. Joining him in the kitchen are Key Glock, and 21 Savage, who is actually Nudy’s cousin.

Over the years, Nudy has garnered a large fan base and an online following, though, in an interview with XXL last year, he admitted he doesn’t spend too much time online.

“I ain’t gon’ cap to ya. The only way I knew my fan base growing, when I do a show,” Nudy said. “Other than that, trying to go from the internet and sh*t, I don’t really be getting it, because I be seeing rappers that got a million followers and sh*t, and they can’t even get 100,000 likes. And, I know I be getting them muthaf*ckas, and I ain’t got no bots or no fake sh*t. I got real Nudy fans. I feel like my fan base is slowly growing.”

You can see the cover art and tracklist below.

Key Glock Reflects On Signing With Young Dolph

Key Glock recently reflected on signing with Young Dolph and how his fallen friend set him up for success. Moreover, he spoke on Dolph’s generosity and emphasis on independence in a recent interview with Esquire. While the Memphis rapper bears the torch of Paper Route EMPIRE and arguably leads its charge, he still remembers how the label boss set the foundation. Furthermore, it was family and belief that brought their two paths together. Overall, Glock spoke earnestly about how small considerations made way to a successful rap career.

“It really just happened out of the blue,” the 25-year-old elaborated. “It wasn’t even a plan. I got into some trouble. I got incarcerated. And then close to the time for me to come home, my auntie was married to Young Dolph’s uncle. She told him, ‘You know, Key doing his thing… He just reached out to me and it went from there.” Of course, the Dolph protegé’s success is well-documented and recognized in the game. In fact, he just released his latest album Glockoma 2, which is among the impactful trap and hip-hop albums that 2023’s brought us so far.

“They always let me do me, let me be me,” Key remarked. Moreover, he said he values the independence and commitment to freedom that his late colleague lived by. “No matter what it was. Music or just everything in life. I go by my rules. You know, I don’t mean to disrespect anybody. It’s just how I move. Play by my own rules.” Early in the interview, Glock referred to a sense of confidence that likely led him to that individual hustler mentality. “From my first song, I just had so much confidence in myself,” he explained. “I let everybody hear it, before I even put it on the Internet. I don’t know if they were gassing me up or not, but to me, I was like, “Oh yeah, this song hard.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the “Russian Cream” MC spoke on his idea of success, which is dark but highly resonant. “Success is when you feel like you’re accomplishing things, but you still have this weight on you that you can’t shake. You want to keep surpassing yourself. I knew I was succeeding when I got more hate than ever. When you’re working and grinding, they aren’t going to say too much. Being successful, there’s pros and cons that comes with it.” If you’re interested, check out the full interview in the second link down below. Key Glock Brushes The ‘Dirt’ Off Of His Shoulder On His New Single

Just days before his upcoming album, Glockoma 2, Key Glock has shared his new single, “Dirt.” On his previously released single, “Work,” Key remains focused and motivated, despite the events that have taken place over the past few years.

On “Dirt,” Key reassures us that while recent years have been rough, particularly with the death of his cousin and frequent collaborator, Young Dolph, he is still hardened and unbroken, and will continue to carry on Dolph’s legacy. He also reminds us that he isn’t here for anyone throwing dirt on his name.

“Glock be the name, and you know I’m gon’ bang / I made me some millions, they think I’m unchanged / F*ck this fame and f*ck these chains / Made packs disappear, like David Blaine / These b*tches be all on my dang-a-lang / I just bought a new blue pinky ring, my heart cold, it’s icebox / Number one rule, get that money, man, I got this sh*t from Dolph / It ain’t no shame up in my gang, I’m tryna get it off,” raps Key on the chorus, over a vintage soul-sampling beat.

You can listen to “Dirt” above.

Glockoma 2 is out 2/24 via Paper Route and EMPIRE. You can pre-save it here.

Key Glock Puts In “Work” On Our “Fire Emoji” Playlist: Stream

Last Saturday it was NAV leading the way on our Fire Emoji playlist. Today (February 18), we’ve got a fresh roster of new releases for you. It boasts plenty of collaborative efforts and one solo standout. At the very top of our list is the latest from DJ Drama, who worked with Lil Baby and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie on “HO4ME.”

The catchy single is already amassing serious streams on Spotify. It features production from AJ Ruined By Record, Fivecrzy, Kookup, and T Kee. The song is just the latest drop to come from the Gangsta Grillz hitmaker following his recent successful run. Of course, the Generation Now head isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon. He’s got plenty more music on the way over the coming months.

Next comes a Fire Emoji-worthy title from the latest Fast & Furious film soundtrack. On “Let’s Ride,” YG, The Notorious B.I.G., Bong Thugs-N-Harmony, Lambo4oe, and Ty Dolla $ign all come together. The fun track sets the tone for what’s to come in the highly anticipated movie. It’s due out in theatres later this May.

For his first release of 2023, Polo G teamed up with an industry-heavy hitter. Chicago and Atlanta come together on “No Time Wasted” as the 23-year-old tapped Future to rap alongside him. Presently, the former is putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming project in tandem with Southside. Knowing these two, the album is sure to be full of bangers.

Following that is a posthumous effort from 1017 artist Big Scarr, who tragically passed away as a result of an overdose. The young rhymer’s The Secret Weapon project dropped on Friday (February 17). For our Fire Emoji update, we’ve markedly selected “Trappin n Rappin” featuring Gucci Mane for your consideration.

The sole solo effort to land on the latest edition of our playlist comes from Key Glock. His hot new single finds him chiefly putting in “Work,” even while continuing to mourn the loss of his partner in rhyme, Young Dolph. The PRE artist has been on a roll as of late, and we’re hoping to see his energy bring more releases over the next few months.

Don Toliver has been teasing his next album, and earlier this week he linked up with Lil Durk and GloRilla to give us a taste of what’s to come. “Leave The Club” made its debut on Thursday (February 16), making an impressionable mark on listeners who have been long awaiting the follow-up to 2021’s Life of a DON. For our final selection of this week, we’ve got Larry June and The Alchemist’s latest, “60 Days.”

Stream it all exclusively on Spotify below. Afterward, tell us which new additions are your favourite in the comment section. Make sure to check in on Sunday (February 19) to stream our R&B Season playlist update as well.

Key Glock Is Here To ‘Work’ On His New Laser-Focused Single Off Of His Forthcoming Album ‘Glockoma 2’

Rihanna isn’t the only recording artist injecting conversations about work into their music. Memphis rapper Key Glock doing the same on his new single, “Work,” off of his forthcoming full-length album Glockoma 2.

On the track, Glock is unapologetically vulnerable in sharing with listeners how he’s finding the motivation to keep going since the tragic murder of his cousin and label owner, Young Dolph. This isn’t the first time Glock has spoken about how Dolph’s passing has affected him or even addressed it in his music (see “Long Live Dolph“), but on “Work,” Glock seems to have lifted a lot of the professional pressure, he had placed on his shoulders.

Glock wastes no time getting into his signature southern flow. The pre-chorus sets up the track’s inspiration, as Glock raps, “Wake up, no pancakes, just syrup / Ten toes down, yeah, stay on alert / I get it in like the first and the third / This sh*t I got on, it came out the dirt / All of this money, I feel like I’m cursed / I lost my dawg, every day this sh*t hurt / I lost my dawg, every day this sh*t hurt / His voice in my head keep on tellin’ me work.”

Key Glock Puts In “Work” On New Single

Key Glock just released a new single titled “Work,” which highlights why he’s one of Memphis’ biggest stars. Moreover, he got fans prepped and ready for his next album Glockoma 2, which releases next week on February 24th. Of course, Key’s never been one to take too long out of the spotlight. For example, just last year he released the PRE5L EP in honor of his fallen friend, Young Dolph. With this newest track, he continues contributing menacing, hard-hitting, but still emotionally resonant trap music. Although this newest track is about all the work Glock puts in, he still laments some of the losses he experienced along the way.

First off, the instrumental is a pretty unique effort, at least when compared to the rest of the output from his home city. For one, the haunting string and vocal samples that form its melody are atmospheric and quite distinct from your typical piano leads. While it doesn’t switch up much in terms of the beat, Glock’s flow goes through a few changes. Also, the beat’s oddity grows on you, and you notice its old-school Memphis-inspired drums the more you listen. At the center of it all, Key keeps a steady and authoritative flow as he details his perseverance.

Still, what did you think of Key Glock’s newest single ahead of his next album Glockoma 2, “Work”? However you feel, let us know in the comments and check out some notable bars from the track below. Also, if you haven’t heard the song yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the best new music of the week and for Key Glock’s next album drop.

Kenny Muney Pops Off On ‘”Big Muney Sh*t”

PRE’s Kenny Muney is all about his bread on his latest single, “Big Muney Sh*t.”

Kenny Muney isn’t wasting any time this year, as witnessed with the release of his latest single. The rapper comes through with a blistering banger, equipped with a chilling instrumental. Muney glides over the haunting operatic vocal samples with a cold-blooded flow and witty punchline that he delivers nonchalantly. “N***a played then let it rip/ We gon’ spin this shit, BeyBlade his crib,” Muney raps over the eerie production.

More importantly, the “Backend Freestyle” rapper provides fans with a glimpse into his hustler mentality. He details his drive to get to the bag, from his days trapping to maneuvering through the rap industry.

The music video also dropped with the song, which showcases Kenny Muney, along with Key Glock, turning up in a parking lot, flexing bills and living life.

Kenny Muney bubbled up over the years but it feels like 2023 could be the year he really makes his mark on the rap game. The Paper Route Empire signee blessed fans with Time Is Muney at the beginning of 2022 but it looks like a deluxe edition is coming soon.

Check out Kenny Muney’s “Big Muney Shit” below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics
I play with that grass but I look like I sold a hunnid bricks
