Star comedians Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson are set to host an 8-episode series airing on Peacock during the 2024 Olympics. The show, “Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson,” will start July 26 and coincide with the Opening Ceremony in Paris.
The duo will provide viewers with a unique but undoubtedly funny perspective on the Games, featuring in-studio competitions, interviews, conversations, and more. As executive producers, they aim to entertain audiences in a new way by showcasing the most memorable moments of the Olympics with their own comical spin.
As only Kevin Hart would, he whimsically expressed his anticipation for hyping up the audience with the best highlights, while Thompson echoed the sentiment by highlighting their enthusiasm for recapping performances from top athletes worldwide, particularly Team U.S.A.
In addition to Peacock, the series will be accessible on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Olympics and NBC apps. This collaboration isn’t new for Thompson and Hart, who previously teamed up for Peacock’s “Back That Year Up” special, where they recapped the events of 2023 across various domains.
Deion Sanders has expressed his approval of Kenan Thompson’s impression of him on a recent episode of SNL. “I’m a fan of Kenan, let’s get that straight. I love what he’s brought to comedy. I had the pleasure and honor to host Saturday Night Live before and I’ll never forget those moments,” Sanders said of the skit at his press availability this week. Thompson brought Coach Prime to life in a Weekend Update segment that poked fun at Sanders’ larger-than-life personality. As for Sanders’ SNL hosting gig, that came in February 1995, a couple weeks after he won Super Bowl 30 with the Niners.
Sanders and the Buffs are back in action this weekend following their bye week. The 4-3 Buffs take on #23 5-2 UCLA, who have traded wins and losses for their last four games. The Bruins enter coming off a big 42-7 win over Stanford, a team that stunned Colorado two weeks ago. With five games and three ranked opponents left, every game is a must-win for Colorado if they want to stand a chance of playing in bowl season this year.

Sanders Wants To See Both His Sons On The Falcons
Elsewhere, Sanders recently expressed a desire to see both his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, drafted his first NFL team – the Falcons. Sanders made the suggestion while Falcons scout Rich Sanders was visiting Colorado earlier this month. “We ain’t coming back unless we bringing the Sanders boys to The A,” the scout was seen saying at Deion’s behest.
Of course, Deion spent the first five years of his NFL career as an electrifying presence for the Falcons (and Braves). Shedeur has been widely considered QB4 in the 2024 draft class after a white-hot start to his Colorado career. He has over 2400 yards through seven games for the Buffs. Meanwhile, it’s hard to say where Shilo, a safety, will fall in the draft. He has 36 tackles and an 80-yard pick-six on the season so far. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s current QB is Desmond Ridder, who is in his first year as a full-time starter. He has 1630 yards and a 6-6 touchdown-interception ratio through seven games. The Falcons are 4-3 so far this season.

“I can’t believe it’s been a little over 25 years since great customer service was born at Good Burger!” Thompson said in a statement. “Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal! Mitchell said of the opportunity: “Ed is one of those timeless characters that has brought so much joy and laughter to fans, and it’s such a beautiful blessing to still be doing it after all these years. Kenan Thompson is set to host the Emmy Awards. According to Variety, the Television Academy has named the Saturday Night Live star as a host.
Thompson was chosen after a search by NBC, the Academy, and Emmy producers Done+Dustard and Reggie Hudlin. The show is set to air on Sept. 12 on NBC.
“Being a part of this incredible evening where we honor the best of the television community is ridiculously exciting, and to do it on NBC – my longtime network family – makes it even more special,” Thompson said in a statement. “Like all TV fans, I can’t wait to see the stars from my favorite shows.”
“Kenan is well-regarded as one of funniest, likeable and accomplished performers of the last two decades and his tenure on ‘Saturday Night Live’ speaks for itself,” said Jen Neal, exec VP of Live Events for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “We know he’ll bring an excitement and professionalism to the Emmy Awards that a show of this stature deserves.”
The season premiere of Saturday Night Live is just a day away and that means that the hilarious pre-show promos featuring the guest host and musical guest have also returned. In this week’s promo, series regular Kenan Thompson joins Owen Wilson and Kacey Musgraves to contemplate whether things really are bigger in Texas, try to start a belly band, and tease Kenan’s lateness. Musgraves especially looks like she’s struggling not to break in the last clip.
The first clip is of special significance, as both Wilson and Musgraves are Texas natives. Kenan asks them whether something like burgers fall under the “everything is bigger in Texas” motto, to which Wilson replies, “Depends who’s makin’ ’em.” Musgraves brags, “I make ’em about the size of my fist.” Thompson declares he’s never going to one of her barbecues — and if I may interject here, I will gladly take his spot. He’s missing out.
You should absolutely not miss out on Musgraves’ performance, which will feature songs from her new album Star-Crossed. Each time she’s performed songs from it — such as the fiery rendition of the title track she gave to the MTV VMAs this year — it’s been a show-stopper. Personally, I’m hoping for a redux of her fun “Simple Times” video.
Watch Kacey Musgraves, Owen Wilson, and Kenan Thompson hype up the upcoming season premiere of SNL above.
