This has given him the experience to speak on a whole plethora of situations. Unfortunately, one topic that he understands all too well, is gun violence. Gun violence has claimed the lives of countless people, and Boosie wants to help put an end to it.

In fact, one person who seems to share this goal is none other than Quavo. As we reported, Quavo was recently in Washington where he got to speak to Vice President Kamala Harris. During the meeting, he spoke about the perils of gun violence while invoking the memory of Takeoff. Overall, it was a very powerful statement to make, and Quavo has been getting praise for it. Plies Reveals Why He Believes America Fears Kamala Harris

Plies is someone who isn’t shy about speaking on a plethora of topics. From his love of Britney Spears to the vast world of relationship dynamics, the artist does not mince words. Typically, you can find him giving his opinions while sitting in the driver’s seat of his car. However, he can also be found on none other than Twitter, where he sounds off about whatever is interesting to him that day. He does so while capitalizing the first letter of every word, which must be quite cumbersome, but we digress.

Recently, Plies was interested in the political dynamics going on in America right now. Of course, Joe Biden is currently looking at reelection. However, there are some people who are claiming his age is too much of a factor. In the eyes of Plies, however, there is something sinister going on as it pertains to that excuse. He believes that people are more worried about his replacement, Kamala Harris. The artist is a fan of Kamala, although he believes most Americans are actually afraid of her.

Plies Speaks

“The Reason This Age Thing Is Front & Center With Biden Is B/c Who He Appointed As His Successor!” Plies began. “It’s One Of America’s Biggest Fears & That’s A Woman Running This Country. Let Alone One Of Color! It’s Not About Kamala Harris It’s More About Two Things America FEARS! Women & Color.” This is certainly an interesting perspective. Electorally, many fear that Harris would lose in a Presidential election, especially against Donald Trump. Given these poll numbers, one could certainly say Plies is on to something.

The election is over a year away at this point. Although, it is an election that will have huge consequences for our future. That said, people are already worried about it, and understandably so. Let us know what you think of his take, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Lil Wayne’s (Sort Of) Song Dedication To Kamala Harris During The VP’s Hip-Hop Anniversary Concert Is Unintentionally Funny

The 50th anniversary of hip-hop has inspired a host of award show tributes, dedications to the genre’s unsung heroes, and a look back at fashion across the decades. Even the White House has taken a moment to highlight the cultural phenomenon. On Saturday, September 9, Vice President Kamala Harris hosted a special concert at her home in Washington, DC, to celebrate the milestone.

Although the lineup was jam-packed with several heavy hitters within the space, Lil Wayne’s performance is all users on social media can talk about, thanks to a clip from The Hollywood Reporter.

The song that has viewers quite literally laughing out loud is his 2008 song “Mrs. Officer.”

As the video starts, Lil Wayne grooves out to the chorus before rapping, “Yeah, doing a buck in the latest drop / I got stopped by a lady cop / She got me thinking I can date a cop / ‘Cause her uniform pants are so tight / She read me my rights / She put me in a car, she cut off all the lights / She said I have the right to remain silent / Now I got her hollering, sounding like a siren.”

When Lil Wayne originally recorded the song, it seemed to be a way to put a spin on his relationship with the law. However, given VP Harris’ past as a prosecutor and then a district attorney, on top of Wayne’s previous legal entanglements, many couldn’t help but find the humor in that song selection.

“I feel like the world right now is just one big episode of the Boondocks at this point 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” wrote one person.

Another applauded Lil Wayne for his comical foresight, writing, “This had to have been intentional. Too on the nose…it’s giving Veep parallel universe, lol. I need the camera to cut to the aids looking at each other, stunned 😂.”

“The irony is too good,” chimed another.

Based on the crowd’s reaction, another person questioned if the joke was lost on those attending the event. “I wonder how many people at the event caught what Lil Wayne did by performing this specific song at the residence of this specific Vice President 😂,” they wrote.

“Between Harris being an ex-prosecutor and Weezy avoiding prison on a gun charge by endorsing Trump in exchange for a pardon, this is pretty f*cking funny,” posted another.

Lil Wayne Performs “Mrs. Officer” At Kamala Harris Hip-Hop 50 Event

Did Lil Wayne just shade the Vice President? While performing at Kamala Harris’s Hip-Hop 50 celebration, Wayne dropped a performance of “Mrs. Officer”. Peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008, it’s a beloved piece of Wayne’s catalog. However, is there a deeper meaning to this performance? Obviously, the song is about Wayne getting it on with a female police officer and references N.W.A.’s “Fuck Tha Police”. But before she was a senator and later VP, Harris had a relationship with law enforcement. She served as both San Francisco DA and California AG. Furthermore, she was widely criticized for her vocal pro-cop stance.

“Hip hop is the ultimate American art form,” Harris said at the event. “Born at a back to school party in the Bronx, raised on the streets of Philadelphia, Chicago, Oakland and Atlanta, hip hop now shapes nearly every aspect of America’s popular culture and it reflects the incredible diversity and ingenuity of the American people. To be clear, hip hop culture is America’s culture. It is music and melody and rhyme. Hip hop is also an ethos of strength and self-determination; of ambition and aspiration; of pride, power and purpose. Hip hop is a declaration of identity. It says I love who I am. I represent where I come from, and I know where I’m going.”

Trump Attends A Very Different Cultural Event

While Kamala Harris was living it up with Hip Hop royalty, former President Donald Trump was attending almost the polar opposite of a Hip Hop 50 event. Trump was in Ames, Iowa for the annual Cy-Hawk rivalry game between Iowa and Iowa State. Before the game began, Trump visited Iowa State’s chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho, an agricultural fraternity. He went on to attend the football game, supporting the hometown Cyclones. Unfortunately for Trump, the Hawkeyes would come away with a 20-13 win.

As Wayne, he’s been recently revealed to be adamantly humble about his place in the hip hop pantheon. “We’ve argued over the years. He say JAY-Z the G.O.A.T., I say he the G.O.A.T. My lil’ bro the greatest rapper of all time. He know how I feel about that,” Juvenile claimed of Wayne.

Vice President Kamala Harris Blasts ‘Extremist Agenda’ Spoken at First Republican Debate

Kamala Harris Claps Back at Donald Trump After his Farewell Message: 'See You at Your Trial'

The first Republican presidential debate occured on Wednesday (Aug. 23), placing Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and New Jersey Gov, Chris Christie and more on stage. Notably missing was President Donald Trump. Trump skipped the debate due to his massive lead in the polls and Ramaswamy was the target of the night due to his lack of political experience.

Following the debate, Vice President Kamala Harris released a statement:

“No one on stage ‘won’ tonight’s debate. Instead, the American people heard how much they stand to lose from an extremist agenda.

“One by one, each extremist Republican candidate laid out a vision for an America that is less fair, less free, and less safe. These candidates want to raise costs for working families in order to benefit special interests and the ultra-wealthy. To gut Social Security and Medicare. To strip fundamental rights and basic freedoms from millions of people. And to reverse the Bidenomics strategy that has helped create 13 million jobs, the strongest two years of small business creation in history, and record-low unemployment.

“These extremists focus on unnecessary debates meant to divide our nation in hopes that the American public will not notice they have no affirmative agenda.

“President Biden and I will continue to grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out and build a nation in which all people can truly thrive. We are laser-focused on finishing the job we’ve started: to create good jobs, lower costs, fix America’s roads and bridges, create a clean energy economy, protect a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body, keep our children safe from gun violence, and make sure all Americans can dream about their future with ambition and aspiration.”
