Kali Uchis Begs Fans To Stop Drinking Liquor Because Of ‘Demonic Energies’

Kali Uchis is worried about your health. The singer, who just recently dropped her new song “Moonlight,” is preparing to head out on her Red Moon In Venus Tour, but you might not want to buy a beer at the venue.

In a controversial Instagram Story, Uchis begged her fans to “stop drinking liquor” because of the “spiritual consequences.” She typed out her reasoning, explaining the way alcohol “takes us away from our purest selves.” Read her full conspiracy theory below.

“Please stop drinking liquor !!!

There are spiritual consequences & no one can convince me otherwise. The root of the word ‘Alcohol’ comes from Arabic ‘al-kuhl’ which means ‘BODY EATING SPIRIT.’

In alchemy, alcohol is used to extract the soul essence of an entity. Hence its use in extracting essences for essential oil and sterilization.

By consuming it into the body, it extracts the very essence of the soul, allowing the body to be more susceptible to LOW frequencies & even demonic energies.

It takes us away from our purest selves & our Good soul

that’s why it’s legal y’all they want you all to become alcoholics for real.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, gifs and memes involving alcohol are very much coming in clutch to encapsulate people’s feelings on the situation.

Kali Uchis Releases “Moonlight” Ahead Of “Red Moon In Venus”

Kali Uchis season is soon approaching. On Jan. 23, the Columbian-American songstress announced that her third studio album was on the way. Slated for March 3, Red Moon In Venus will be Uchis’ first full-length release since Sin Miedo in 2020. The bilingual 28-year-old has been building up to this release immaculately. With the help of her boyfriend, Houston rapper Don Toliver, her rollout has gone as well as possible.

First, on January 19, Uchis dropped the lead single for Red Moon in Venus. “I Wish you Roses” was Uchis’ first song release since her Sept. 2022 track “O HAY LEY.” Next, she featured on one of her man’s promotional cuts. Don Toliver dropped “4 Me” with Kali Uchis at midnight ET on Feb. 15 as a celebration for Valentine’s Day. “4 Me” was the second pre-released single for Toliver’s brand-new studio album. Love Sick, his latest LP, came out on Feb. 24, just a week before Don’s girlfriend will release her tape.

Kali Uchis’ Latest

Simultaneously with the arrival of Love Sick also came Kali Uchis’ new single. Released at midnight ET on Feb. 24 also, “Moonlight” sees Kali inch one step closer to her big moment. With help on production from pop legend Benny Blanco, the song contains sensual and groovy guitars and drums that set the perfect mood.

“Moonlight” will be the fourteenth of 15 songs on the Red Moon in Venus tracklist. Revealing all the songs on Jan. 26, the album will include feature artists like Omar Apollo, Summer Walker, and, of course, Uchis’ boyfriend Don Toliver. Syncing their album plans up one week apart truly shows the synergy Don and Kali have. Additionally, both these albums are quite an enjoyable treat for fans of both artists. Quotable Lyrics:

I just wanna ride, get high in the moonlight
I just wanna get high with my lover
Veo una muñeca cuando miro en el espejo
Kiss, kiss, looking dolly, I think I may go out tonight
I just wanna ride, get high in the moonlight

Don Toliver Delivers His Most Ambitious Project To Date With “Love Sick”

The Cactus Jack camp is revving up for a major year ahead, kicking off with Don Toliver. The Houston Native geared up for the release of a new album over the past few weeks. He dropped “Do It Right” in 2022 as his sole single of the year as he continued to ride high off of Life Of A DON. Don Toliver cemented himself in this unique space between hip-hop and R&B throughout the years, though he indicated that his future ventures would lean towards the latter.

During an interview with W Magazine, he explained how his new album would differ from Life Of A Don. “I’ve had some crazy records, stuff in the chamber, a lot of good music I’d been holding on to that will be on this album,” Don Toliver said last year. “Life of a Don gives you insight into what I have going on right now. And that sound is really just how I feel. It’s the soundtrack of my life, and it’s coming from a new feeling.”

Don Toliver And Kali Uchis’ Honeyed ‘4 Me’ Celebrates A Pure And Perfect Love

Don Toliver is rolling out his new album, Lovesick, a little over a year since his last full-length project, Life Of A Don. This time around, he says he’s “really locked in on the actual story and the theme of the album” and appeared to be teasing a February release as a nod to Valentine’s Day, a holiday centered around love.

His latest single from the album, “4 Me,” sticks closely to the theme, hijacking an interpolation of Beenie Man’s 2000 Mya collaboration, “Girls Dem Sugar,” to express his devotion to the song’s addressee. The two stars — Don and Kali, that is — have been romantically linked for some time, and previously collaborated on the 2021 track “Drugs N Hella Melodies.”

In addition to sharing the “4 Me,” Toliver also dropped a follow-up single today. “Leave The Club” is a more upbeat track featuring Lil Durk and GloRilla and instead focuses on the sort of chance meeting at a nightclub that sparks chemistry. “I wanna leave the club right now,” Toliver croons on the chorus. Check that out below.

Lovesick will be released on February 24 through Atlantic Records. You can preorder it here.

Kali Uchis & Coco Jones Sound Ethereal On Our “R&B Season” Playlist

January is quickly coming to a close, but we’ve still got a few more months of winter ahead of us. This weekend, several R&B starlets are doing their part to heat up your playlist amid the chilly weather.

Kicking things off is none other than Kali Uchis, who delivered her “I Wish you Roses” single on Thursday (January 19). Sounding as ethereal as ever, the lovely track finds her vocals floating over production by Dylan Wiggins and Josh Crocker.

“I was a rose in a garden of weeds / My petals are soft and silky as my sheets,” the dreamy lyrics go. “So do not be afraid to get pricked by the thorns / While I’m here, I’m someone to honour.”

Drake came through with some exciting news this weekend, revealing that OVO has signed its first female artist – Naomi Sharon. The R&B singer is making a name for herself with two enchanting singles.

Firstly, we have “Celestial,” and a bit further down, you’ll find her “Another Life” song. Speaking on their professional partnership, Drizzy wrote, “I been waiting for this day for too long now where the world finally gets to digest the insane amount of work you have put in since we met. My dear friend just dropped her single on OVO Sound.”

Thus far, the reception to Sharon’s releases has been incredibly positive. Hopefully, more of the same magic will come from the vocalist later this year.

Bel-Air actress Coco Jones also caught our ear this weekend. In 2022, she made a tantalizing R&B debut with her What I Didn’t Tell You EP. On Friday, the deluxe cut arrived, complete with four new titles.

While they’re all worth listening to, we’ve selected “Fallin” for your consideration. Finally, this week’s update is closed out by Kelela’s “Contact” single.

Further down, you’ll find recent arrivals from names like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jeremih, and SZA.
