Flava Flav has always been a man of many talents and ventures whether it is music, reality television, or business. And while nobody probably had Flav sponsoring the USA Women’s water polo team on their 2024 bingo card, that is exactly the case as the artist has emerged as playing a vital role in the team’s success and journey to the Olympics.
The story began in May when women’s water polo team member Maggie Steffens posted how most of the women work one (or more) full-time jobs in addition to practicing and competing in the sport. She commented how the women’s water polo team, like many of the less popular sports, relies on sponsors to pay for things like equipment, travel, and pool time.
Flav commented on her post, vowing that “as a girl dad and supporter of all women’s sports,” he would “personally sponsor you my girl,,, whatever you need,” promising that his manager would be in touch with her agent and vowing to “use all my relationships and resources to help all y’all even more. That’s a FLAVOR FLAV promise.”
The former Public Enemy artist indeed came through on his promise, donating an undisclosed amount of money and more importantly, serving as the team’s unofficial hype man, attending matches wearing a Team USA branded water polo cap and (of course) a similarly branded waterproof clock necklace. Joining him to cheer on the team was First Lady Jill Biden, who thanked him for his support of women’s sports.
On X, Flav shared a video of him embracing Biden and team members along with the caption:
“I love all the support Women’s Water Polo is getting,,, ya boy is so appreciative that the First Lady came to the First Game . THANK YOU @flotus Dr. Jill Biden for all the support of you and your family.”
In a statement to the Associated Press, Flav stated that “When I come out and I watch this water polo team … ‘USA! USA!’ Yo, I’m going to be the biggest hype man that they ever had in their life,” he told the AP on Friday. “I’m going to be bigger than any cheerleader that they had in their life. I’m going to cheer this team on, and I’m going to cheer this team into winning a gold medal.”
Halle Berry spoke candidly about her experience with menopause and women’s health with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden during Propper Daley’s fourth “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit on Monday. In doing so, she recalled a doctor misdiagnosing her with the “worst case of herpes” they had ever seen.
“First of all, my ego told me that I was going to skip [perimenopause],” she began. “I’m in great shape. I’m healthy. I managed to get myself off of insulin and manage my diabetes since I’m 20 years old. So that makes one think, oh, I can handle menopause. I’m going to skip that whole thing. I was so uneducated about it at that time.” From there, she brought up experiencing pain after having sex with her partner, Van Hunt. “I feel like I have razor blades in my vagina. I run to my gynecologist and I say, ‘Oh my God, what’s happening?’ It was terrible,” she recalled. “He said, ‘You have the worst case of herpes I’ve ever seen.’ I’m like, ‘Herpes? I don’t have herpes!’”
Berry then confronted Hunt over the sexually transmitted disease, but he took a test and it came back negative. “I realize after the fact, that is a symptom of perimenopause,” Berry added. “My doctor had no knowledge and didn’t prepare me. That’s when I knew, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve got to use my platform. I have to use all of who I am, and I have to start making a change and a difference for other women.”
Afterward, Berry reflected on the conversation in a post on Instagram. Check that out above and be on the lookout for further updates on Halle Berry on HotNewHipHop.
President Joe Biden is up for reelection this year and it is not going to be easy. Overall, it looks like Biden will be facing off against Donald Trump again. Although Trump has all sorts of legal issues brewing, his base remains behind him. Moreover, there are numerous concerns surrounding Biden and his cognitive decline. Sources within the White House have described him as forgetful and in some instances, downright incompetent. However, it seems like he is still going to run, despite what some operatives are recommending.
A new book by Katie Rogers called American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden will give potential insight into Biden’s White House. Although, it mostly looks at his relationship with his wife Jill. In fact, The Daily Mail US is reporting that an exclusive excerpt from the book speaks on Biden’s admissions about his marriage. For instance, he apparently tells people that the key to a successful marriage is “good sex.” Although it’s not bad advice, it is advice that leaves Jill Biden feeling embarrassed at times.
As soon as the tweet from Daily Mail US hit Twitter, there were tons of comments and reactions to it. Below, you can see what some of those tweets had to say. Overall, people were pretty disgusted by what they were reading. Ultimately, it is easy to understand why. No one wants to think about a man in his early 80s having sex. It’s that simple really. However, there were some who were supportive of the current President. After all, some are probably surprised by the fact that he can still engage in such an act.

As the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden stands as a prominent figure beside President Joe Biden. Beyond her ceremonial role, many wonder about the financial aspects of her life. Celebrity Net Worth reports Jill Biden’s net worth at an impressive $9 million in 2024. Let’s delve into her early life, career, the journey alongside Joe Biden, and the ventures that contribute to her substantial net worth.
Jill Tracy Jacobs, born on June 3, 1951, in Hammonton, New Jersey, laid the foundation for her future success through education. Earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Delaware, she pursued a Master’s in Education from West Chester University. Jill then obtained a Doctorate in Education from the University of Delaware in 2007. Her commitment to education would become a recurring theme throughout her life.
Jill Biden’s career began in the classroom. She taught English in public schools, community colleges, and even worked as a reading specialist. Moreover, her passion for education extended to higher levels as she served as an English professor at Delaware Technical Community College for over two decades. During this time, she gained a reputation as a dedicated and compassionate educator.
From Vice President To President
Jill Biden’s life took a significant turn when she married Joe Biden in 1977. Their union not only marked a personal connection but also initiated her involvement in the political sphere. As Joe Biden climbed the political ladder, Jill stood steadfastly by his side. From his tenure as Vice President from 2009 to 2017 to his historic inauguration as the 46th President of the United States in 2021, Jill has been an unwavering supporter.
During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Jill continued to teach, maintaining her role as an English professor while juggling the demands of the political spotlight. Her ability to balance these roles showcased her resilience and dedication to both education and public service.
With Joe Biden assuming the highest office in the nation, Jill Biden transitioned into the role of First Lady. Stepping into the footsteps of predecessors such as Michelle Obama and Laura Bush, Jill embraced her responsibilities with grace and poise. As the First Lady, she took on initiatives like education, military families, and cancer research.
Jill’s focus on education remained a cornerstone of her advocacy. She launched the “Joining Forces” initiative, aimed at supporting military families, emphasizing the importance of education and employment opportunities for veterans. Additionally, she championed the cause of cancer research, leveraging her platform to raise awareness and funds for advancements in the field.
Ventures That Create Revenue

Her story serves as an inspiration to many, showcasing the potential for success that lies in the pursuit of one’s passions and commitments.
The college basketball may have thought that the Angel Reese/White House beef was over. Caitlin Clark had called on the White House to retract the First Lady’s invitation for Iowa to join LSU in going to The White House. The First Lady’s press team had walked back and clarified what Dr. Biden had meant with her original statement. Elsewhere, Boosie gave affectionate nicknames to Reese’s teammates while Lil Wayne set up collabs. But “Bayou Barbie” should never be counted out.
The saga’s latest chapter began on Tuesday as the Bidens formally invited UConn and LSU to the White House. The First Lady’s press secretary, Vanessa Valdivia, then tweeted a clarification of Dr. Biden’s remarks on Monday. Valdivia claimed that “Her comments in Colorado were intended to applaud the historic game and all women athletes. She looks forward to celebrating the LSU Tigers on their championship win at the White House.” Reese dropped her retort the following day.
“We’ll Go See the Obamas”
On Wednesday, Reese sat down with the Paper Route podcast and did not hold back when it came to the topic of Dr. Biden’s comments. “I don’t accept the apology because you said what you said,” Reese began, “…I said what I said and you can’t go back on certain things you say. They [The Bidens] felt that they [Iowa] should have came because of sportsmanship. They can have that spotlight. We’ll go see the Obamas. We’ll see Michelle, go see Barack.” Reese also pointed out that President Biden’s official bracket had LSU being upset by 6-seed Michigan in the tournament’s second round.
While “We’ll go to the Obamas” quickly went viral, Reese was very clear about her stance. To Reese, Dr. Biden’s desire to invite Iowa because of their “sportsmanship” was an unsubtle endorsement of the claims against Reese’s in-game behavior. While the issue has been debated to death, and several prominent figures have defended Reese, a stark contrast still remains. The white First Lady wanted to invite the white-majority runners-up alongside the Black-majority winners because of their “sportsmanship”. However, whether there is more to come in this saga remains to be seen.
LSU basketball superstar Angel Reese heard First Lady Jill Biden suggest both her team and Caitlyn Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes should come to the White House. Typically, only the championship winner makes the visit, so Reese wasn’t feeling it.
Appearing on The Paper Route Podcast, a segment of I AM ATHLETE, Reese shot back, stating her team prefers to visit the Obamas.
Biden’s original reason for inviting both, primarily Iowa, was “because they played such a good game.” The final score was 102-85.
A rep for Jill Biden apologized, but Reese was standing firm. “I’m not going to lie to you, I don’t accept the apology because you said what you said. And you can’t go back on certain things that you say,” Reese said on the show.
She added, “I mean, you felt like they should’ve came because of sportsmanship, right? They can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obamas. We’ll see Michelle. We’ll see Barack.”
The LSU program revealed they would accept a White House invite, so now it’s up to Reese and her teammates to join.
Caitlin Clark also found it quite weird; appearing on ESPN, she said, “I think LSU should enjoy that moment for them.”
Shannon Sharpe has never shied away from giving his opinions on politics. Overall, Sharpe’s political takes are typically dished out on Twitter as opposed to Undisputed. However, there are some instances that simply require him to take his politics to TV. That very instance took place this morning as Sharpe was asked to give his opinion on Dr. Jill Biden’s latest invitation. The First Lady of the United States suggested that both LSU and Iowa’s women’s basketball teams come to the White House.
Of course, this invitation is only extended to the winner. Moreover, Biden’s invitation felt a bit bizarre, especially in light of the narratives surrounding Angel Reese. In the eyes of some people, Biden’s invitation felt racially motivated. As it turns out, Shannon Sharpe feels the same way. In the clip down below, Sharpe made it clear that it was black people who helped elect Joe Biden into the White House. However, by appealing to white people, Jill could very well lose her husband some votes.
Shannon Sharpe Speaks
“Come on, Dr. Biden, you know better than this,” Sharpe said. “Did you forget who helped put your husband in the White House? You’re gonna find out a very serious, hard lesson in ’24. You’ll be like a Kentucky or Duke freshman, you’ll be one-and-done. Now, play with it if you want to, now you try to appeal to a certain group that don’t give a you-know-what about your husband, every chance you get. You see how popular you are, you see how popular your husband is. I’ll tell you what, he’ll drop another five percent if he do this.” This political analysis is certainly built in hyperbole. By next year’s election, no one will be thinking about this.
That said, Dr. Jill Biden has upset a lot of people with her suggestion, which likely won’t even come to fruition. In two weeks from now, no one will have remembered that she even suggested any of this. Such is the nature of the internet and the fast-moving headlines of today. Let us know what you think of Shannon Sharpe’s take, in the comments down below.
Jill Biden just gave a strong hint that husband Joe plans to run for a second term as President. Moreover, she recently spoke to AP News about the prospect, although she didn’t necessarily make the announcement for him. Instead, the First Lady spoke on how the 46th President still has work to be done in the White House. As such, she suggested that it’s only a matter of time and place in relation to the announcement of his next step. While his presidency has by no means been perfect or beloved, his reelection could result in a long-lasting win for Democrats.
“Is there any reason for any of us to think that he is not running again?” the interviewer asked Jill. “We’ve heard him say several time that it is his intention.” Then, his wife had a pretty interesting answer. “Are you not believing this, darling?” she replied while laughing along with the interviewer. “I mean, how many times does he have to say it till you believe it? No, he says he’s not done. He’s not finished what he’s started, and that’s what’s important. I think- look at all that Joe has done, has accomplished.”
Jill Biden Hints At Joe’s Second Term
In addition, Jill said there’s nothing to do besides picking the right time and place to announce the reelection campaign. However, the President will face an increasingly polarized nation and will deal with criticisms and controversies surrounding his first term. For example, Biden faced accusations of wrongdoing after authorities discovered classified documents in his homes on multiple occasions. In fact, the Department of Justice even appointed a special counsel to oversee the investigation and determine any malevolent will. Biden’s team maintains they were misplaced with no deeper intent or incriminatory manner.
Meanwhile, his potential Republican opponent for these elections, former President Donald Trump, recently took aim at these scandals. “The White House just announced that there are no LOGS or information of any kind of visitors to the Wilmington house and flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured, but now very famous garage,” he tweeted. “Maybe they are smarter than we think! This is one of the seemingly many places where HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents are stored (in a big pile on the damp floor).” Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest big news on President Joe Biden and his reelection campaign.
