[WATCH] Jennifer Lopez Talks To Apple Music About Her New Album And Finding Inspiration In Her Love Story With Ben Affleck

unnamed 30

The iconic Jennifer Lopez joins Ebro live in New York City for the second episode of her very own, exclusive This Is Me…Now Radio series, celebrating the release of her new album This Is Me… Now. Lopez gives listeners an exclusive look into her love story and all the stops on her journey along the way.

In part two, Lopez talks about learning to embrace her scars while making This Is Me… Now, and how her second chance at love with Ben Affleck made her want to share that sense of hope with her fans. She also shares stories and inspiration during the making of her album, talks about evolving, and how her musical original is breaking all the rules.

Also, she is joined by longtime friends and collaborators Fat Joe and Ja Rule. Fat Joe shares stories about their friendship and talks about how inspirational she is, and she and Ja Rule reminisce about collaborating on the song “I’m Real.” Then, she gets some words of encouragement from LL Cool J and Ludacris.

When speaking about the second chance at love with famed actor Ben Affleck, Lopez told Ebro, “I have hope always that things will be great. Even when they’re hard. That is a part of me. And I think when this happened in my life there’s a surreal magical plot twist in my life. And I got a second chance at this love it made me want to share that. It made me want to share that hope and as an artist you want to share the things you know. I don’t look at, I love my music and I love to make movies and do all the things you see in the project but I also see life that way. I want to make life beautiful for myself and for my kids and my husband. And for everybody. In my own little way.”

Jennifer Lopez’s Song About Her Sex Life With Ben Affleck Is… Something Else

affleck lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck haven’t reached Will and Jada levels of “we know far too much about these people,” but they’re getting there. A song on J-Lo’s ninth studio album and first in 10 years, This Is Me… Now, is unmistakably about her Dunkin’-loving husband — and their sex life.

“Greatest Love Story Never Told” (you can listen to the song below) begins with Lopez referencing her and Affleck’s on again, off again, on again romance: “Different roads, two lost souls / Never thought we’d find our way back / Could’ve lost what matters most / How could I live with that?” Then things get racy: “Missing your body climbing on top of me, slippin’ inside of me / Way that I ride it, bodies aligning, look at our timing / Forget about the world when we’re alone / Only thing that ever felt, felt like home.”

Anyone who has seen Gone Girl knows what “it” is.

While Ben obviously served as a major inspo on the new album, he also got involved personally — lending some background vocals for “Not Going Anywhere.” Yep, he’s credited.

Lopez is also releasing a documentary about the album titled The Greatest Love Story Never Told, but Jane Fonda, who appears in the film, thinks maybe she should calm things down by like 10 percent. According to Pajiba, the actress warned Lopez that while she’s rooting for her and Affleck to stay together forever, “it feels too much like you’re trying to prove something instead of just living it. You know, every other photograph is the two of you kissing and the two of you hugging.”

That’s how people felt about Gigli, too, and now it’s part of the Criterion collection. You win this round, Ben and Jen.

How Much Are Tickets For Jennifer Lopez’s ‘This Is Me… Now The Tour?’

Jennifer Lopez has announced her first tour in five years. The This Is Me… Now The Tour kicks off on June 26 following the release of J-Lo’s new album This Is Me… Now, which drops this Friday, February 16. Tickets go on sale February 23 at 10 AM local time on Live Nation, and of course, there are all the requisite presales for fan club members and Citicard holders before that. But how much are the tickets?

Unfortunately, the prices haven’t been made available just yet, and as J-Lo’s last tour was in 2019 — before a number of events caused some pretty sizable fluctuations in ticket prices across the industry — it’s hard to judge. But looking at pop concert prices at some of the same venues she’s playing should givve us an idea how much they might be. For instance, Madonna’s Celebration Tour at Kia Forum in Los Angeles runs from about $85 to $506, so that range should be comparable. We’ll learn more next Friday. For now, you can check out the dates and venues below.

Ayo Edebiri Apologized To Jennifer Lopez ‘With Tears In Her Eyes’ At ‘SNL’ For The Resurfaced ‘Scam’ Comments

Jennifer Lopez Ayo Edebiri SNL
NBC

The first rule about going on a podcast is to not say anything that could potentially come back to haunt you later. This is easier for normal folks and harder for celebrities who are on the verge of becoming “too famous.” Unfortunately for Ayo Edebiri, she has started to reach that point!

Edebiri made headlines earlier this month when clips of her dissing JLo on a podcast resurfaced. The comedian appeared on “Scam Goddess” in 2020 when she claimed Lopez’s career is “one long scam” only to be hosting a Saturday Night Live episode featuring JLo four years later. Life comes at you fast. Luckily, JLo is being cool about it.

The singer/ Kid’s Choice Award winner told Variety that Edebiri apologized before their episode. “[Ayo] was mortified and very sweet. She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things,” Lopez told Variety. “She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform. She was just like, ‘I’m so f*cking sorry, it was so awful of me.’” It seems like there is no bad blood between them now, or Edebiri is just a really good actress and can cry on command. Either way, JLo will be fine! Edebiri even poked fun at the ordeal during a sketch.

Even though Edebiri was “mortified,” Lopez said she wasn’t really offended by the comments. “It’s funny. I’ve heard similar things said about me throughout my career, so it really didn’t affect me.” Maybe now Lopez can introduce Edebiri to fellow Bostonian Ben Affleck.
