Le’Veon Bell Reveals Jack Harlow Turned Down Two of His Feature Requests

Le'Veon Bell Reveals Jack Harlow Turned Down Two of His Feature Requests

With his NFL career over, Le’Veon Bell has been making a journey into music. Appearing on No Jumper, Bell revealed he asked Jack Harlow for a feature and got denied, but respected the Kentucky rapper wasn’t check chasing.

Bell revealed that if a rapper isn’t a fan of the music he sends, he prefers them just to say that instead of sending a bad feature over.

“I sent Jack Harlow two songs and he turned both down,” Bell said. “The first one he’s like ‘Nah bro, this one ain’t it.’ The second, he was like, ‘Hey, you close on this one, but it still ain’t it.’”

A Jack Harlow & Le’Veon Bell Song Isn’t Going To Happen Anytime Soon After The Rapper Declined His Feature Request Twice

Whether it’s soccer, basketball, or football, the worlds of professional sports, and rap music often bleed over into each other. Last year, Drake launched his recreational basketball league. J. Cole briefly played in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Meanwhile, Jack Harlow showed off his basketball skills in the White Men Can’t Jump reboot. Although Harlow was embraced for his amateur abilities on the court, he has different standards for aspiring rappers.

During an interview with No Jumper, former NFL player-turned-rapper Le’Veon Bell revealed that Harlow declined his request for a guest feature a few times. As Bell discussed his budding music career, he confessed that he’s taken some hard hits to his ego.

“Bro, I sent Jack Harlow two songs, and he turned them both down,” said Bell.

He went on to provide more details regarding the interactions. “The first one, he’s like, ‘Nah bro, this one ain’t it.’ The second one, he was like, ‘Hey, you close on this one, but it still ain’t it,’” laughed Bell.

As such, a Jack Harlow and Le’Veon Bell song isn’t going to happen anytime soon. But Bell is hopeful that it will go down in the future.

Jack Harlow Brought His Mom Backstage At Beyoncé’s Louisville Concert So They Could Be ‘Introduced’

During Beyoncé’s recent Renaissance Tour stop in Louisville, Kentucky, one hometown musician made sure not to miss her performance: Jack Harlow. The rapper met her backstage during the show — and made sure his mom came along for the party too.

Harlow shared a picture of the moment to Threads. In it, he appears to have given Beyoncé a gift as she holds the bag. She has her back turned to chat with him and his mom in a sweet capture where all the parties look genuinely invested in the conversation.

“Introduced my Mom to Beyoncé in Louisville, Kentucky tonight,” he captioned.

Harlow has been on a roll lately with bumping into his famous musician friends. Shortly after the release of his recent album, Jackman, he shared during an interview with the Rap Radar Podcast that he had another wild encounter.

“I ran into Kendrick [Lamar] at the Met,” he said. “It was like a few days after the album dropped, and he was like, ‘Yo. Sh*t is incredible.’ And he gave me enough props that I could have just walked home. I didn’t even want to meet anyone else.”

For now, fans can check out the picture of Jack Harlow and his mom meeting Beyoncé here.

Jack Harlow Came Face To Face With Jack Harlow As He Met An Uncanny Wax Figure Of Himself

Jack Harlow dropped by Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas earlier this week to greet his wax figure for the first time. In a video posted by the museum, Harlow was shocked by the uncanny nature of the results.

His figure is seen wearing a white suit and tie, an extravagant Rolex watch, and even holding a serious diamond chain in his folded hands. Harlow walks around admiring the lookalike.

“That is crazy,” he said in the clip. “Is this mine? Everything just looks like he’s about to come to life. It’s good. He’s cut. I just wanna knock his ass over, you know?”

“I was worried I was gonna sit here and be like, ‘OK, this is funny cause it’s like an attempt,’ but it looks just like me,’” Harlow added.

Over the past few months, the Kentucky-raised rapper has been busy. At the end of April, Harlow dropped his new album, Jackman, and has also released some music videos tied to it. The following month, he acted in Hulu’s remake of White Men Can’t Jump.

Louisville-born rapper Jack Harlow has joined the ranks of entertainment’s brightest stars with the unveiling of his first-ever wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, the world’s renowned wax museum. Harlow’s figure, clad in a custom-designed suit from his music video “Churchill Downs (feat. Drake),” pays homage to his Kentucky roots. The ivory-colored suit, created by Musika New York and designer Aleks Musika, was prominently featured in the video filmed during the 2022 Kentucky Derby. To further represent his hometown, Harlow’s figure’s hands are adorned with a crystallized necklace featuring a pendant shaped like the state of Kentucky.

The unveiling of Harlow’s wax figure was celebrated over the weekend when close family and friends joined him. Later that night, Harlow took the stage at Zouk Nightclub to further commemorate the occasion.

“Jack Harlow’s new figure is a perfect addition to our museum,” said Marketing Manager for Madame Tussauds Las Vegas Linsey Stiglic. “His confidence, humor, and of course, music is admired by all and we’re so thrilled to welcome him to our Las Vegas attraction.”

Madame Tussauds’ commitment to providing unique access to A-list celebrities resulted in the creation of this remarkable wax figure. It took approximately six months for a dedicated team of 20 studio artists in London to bring Harlow’s figure to life. Visitors can now experience the rap icon’s wax twin and say ‘WHATS POPPIN’ as they immerse themselves in the A-list experience. For more information and to plan your visit, please visit the official Madame Tussauds Las Vegas website.

Jack Harlow & Lil Durk Join Forces In New York

Sometimes, we get the mash-ups we never knew we needed. For example, if, say, Jack Harlow were to pair up with Lil Durk, that would be a collaboration of the highest order. Especially right now, while both are at the top of the rap game. That’s exactly what happened on Independence Day; Jack and Durk paired up in the Big Apple for a photo. Posted on the Instagram page @nojumper, the caption reads, “Jack Harlow and Lil Durk tapped in. Would you want to hear a collab between these two?”

The answer to whether we want a Harlow-Durk song, of course, is “absolutely.” Whether that’s what they’re up to in New York is speculative at best. But we know they can make solid music together. Back in 2020, Jack Harlow and Lil Durk were on the French Montana song “Hot Boy Bling.” To get another certified banger from the duo would be a blessing in 2023.

What Are Jack Harlow & Lil Durk Up To?

Kentucky-grown Jack Harlow has been doing shows and going to fashion events. Classic Harlow vibes. Funny enough, Jack did a show in Paris recently where the crowd had zero clue what the lyrics to his songs were. However, he got some cool praise from the iconic Kendrick Lamar, as well as Ludacris. Harlow has been accused of being a “culture vulture,” a white person making his millions in a predominantly Black art form. Despite this, he has many fans and many accolades, plus the praise of his peers.

As for Lil Durk, his song “All My Life” hit Platinum a few days ago. He’s also embracing his spiritual roots, posting photos of him engaging in Muslim prayer traditions. To see him and Jack Harlow mobbing in the streets of New York is a promising sneak peek into what might come soon. Lil Durk used to record his songs in a closet, and Jack is a nobody from the South. Together, they could make some rap gold.

Jack Harlow Thinks A Drake Album That’s Not Exactly Beloved Will One Day Be Considered A ‘Classic’

In 2018, Drake dropped Scorpion, a project that’s not the most esteemed in his discography: It’s one of his lowest-rated projects on Metacritic, with 2021’s Certified Lover Boy being his only album with a worse score. Despite that, Jack Harlow thinks the album will eventually be regarded as a “classic.”

In a recent interview with Rap Radar (as Complex notes), Harlow spoke about nostalgia, saying, “What people want is changing, what the youth wants is changing, and it’s almost like Drake, Kendrick [Lamar], and [J.] Cole, their voices are damn-near nostalgic at this point. We know this is good ’cause this is from the days when things were a little better. […] It’s almost like we’re living in a time where people feel like this era isn’t special enough to stamp anything as timeless or classic as if the time of classic sh*t, it already happened.”

It was at this point that Harlow declared Scorpion “is gonna be a classic.”

He went on to speak about a conversation he and John Mayer had: “I was talking to John Mayer about this, about how culture’s so fragmented. Artists put out music and the artist’s job is to respond or comment on culture and society. He and I were talking about how there’s no shared human experience anymore because everyone’s living in their own pockets. Everyone’s choosing what to digest. You got your shows, you got your own artists, so you get to live in your pocket and you don’t need to be told who’s a star, who’s most important. When Kendrick, Drake, and Cole, that was still a time where people were saying, ‘Nah, everyone needs to know these are the most important people.’ Now everyone gets to choose what’s important to them. Everyone is living a fragmented version of culture.”
