Will Jack Harlow Release A ‘Lovin On Me’ Remix?

Jack Harlow has a major hit on his hands with “Lovin On Me,” as the single has so far spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A common way to keep a big song’s momentum going is to release a new remix featuring another artist, but is that something Harlow is looking to do?

Will Jack Harlow Release A “Lovin On Me” Remix?

It doesn’t look like it: Over the weekend, a TMZ staffer approached Harlow and asked, “You have the biggest song in the world, obviously. Are you going to do a remix?” He responded, “Uh, probably not, probably not. I gotta go.”

The original song itself is a bit of a remix, in a sense, as it’s built on a sample of Cadillac Dale’s 1995 song “Whatever (Bass Soliloquy).”

Harlow has had a relatively quiet 2024 so far, mostly just enjoying the success of “Lovin On Me,” which was released in November 2023. That year, he also released his latest album, Jackman. The project was well-received and he wrote at the time, “2 weeks have passed and I just wanna say the love & respect I’ve felt from not only my peers… but from YALL…the fans…the folks that have supported me from the beginning…it feels f*ckin amazing… I have never felt so connected to the people listening to my music…thank you.”

Here Is Where You Can Get Jack Harlow’s New Balance 550 Colorways

NB Harlow
New Balance/Uproxx

The New Balance 550 is a modern classic. And I say “modern classic” knowing full well the sneaker was introduced in 1989. After the sneaker’s initial run, it was all but forgotten in NB’s archives until 2020 when Aimé Leon Dore reintroduced the sneaker to the public with a few now-iconic limited drops. The reintroduction of the 550 was so popular that New Balance made ALD founder Teddy Santis its creative director, and together Santis and NB have taken the brand from a niche audience to the mainstream.

The brand hitting its stride and getting love from a new generation is a good thing. New Balance sneakers are dope, and a lot of that has to do with the immaculate design and smart branding. And we can’t think of a better person to be a brand ambassador than Jack Harlow. Harlow, with his minimalist and to-the-point aesthetic (his best music is plain and simple rap, no sub-genres required) reflects the simplicity of New Balance in the Teddy Santis era. So it’s no huge mystery why the brand tapped Harlow to introduce brand new colorways of the 550.

Launching exclusively at Foot Locker this Thursday, the new colorways include a sneaker that combines Sea Salt, Reflection, Olivine & Dark Olivine, and another in Reflection, Sea Salt, and Grey Matter. The colorway names are excessively complicated, as is per usual with New Balance. Seriously, they could’ve just titled these sneakers “Olive” and “Light Blue.”

The sneakers retail for $110 and feature a white leather base with colored panels and logos. Sadly, the green 550s are Women’s and Children’s only. The blue is a full size run. To pick up a pair, hit up Foot Locker and Champs Sports stores on February 22nd or online. Check out the sneakers in action below.

Jack Harlow Is Back At No. 1 Yet Again And 2024 Grammy Favorites Saw Significant Gains On The New Hot 100 Chart

Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated February 17, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Miley Cyrus — “Flowers”

Three songs that had big moments at the 2024 Grammys saw some noteworthy chart movement this week, with Cyrus’ former No. 1 “Flowers” re-entering the top 10 after spending last week at No. 32.

9. Doja Cat — “Agora Hills”

“Agora Hills” was at its Hot 100 high of No. 7 this week before sliding down to No. 9 this time around.

8. Luke Combs — “Fast Car”

Combs’ “Fast Car” cover had a Cyrus-like rise after he performed the song with Tracy Chapman herself, bouncing up to No. 8 from No. 20.

7. Tate McRae — “Greedy”

While “Greedy” slid down a couple spots from No. 5 last week, it did sell some more copies after McRae performed the song at the NHL All-Star Game on February 3.

6. Zach Bryan — “I Remember Everything” Feat. Kacey Musgraves

“I Remember Everything” once again leads various Billboard charts, ranking No. 1 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs charts for a 24th week and the Hot Country Songs for a 20th time.

5. SZA — “Snooze”

“Snooze” was barely hanging onto a top-10 placement last week, but after it was included in SZA’s Grammys performance medley, it gained a few spots to return to the top 5.

4. Taylor Swift — “Cruel Summer”

Swift has a new album, The Tortured Poets Department, on the way, but in the meantime, “Cruel Summer” is maintaining a strong chart presence for Swift before her new songs inevitably take over.

3. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

Boone’s viral hit hit the top 10 for the first time at No. 8 last week, and now its ascent continues as it climbed all the way to a new high at No. 3.

2. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Similar story for Swims: “Lose Control” was No. 4 last week and now it’s angling for the top spot after its rise to No. 2 this week.

1. Jack Harlow — “Lovin On Me”

Harlow’s hit has been jostled in and out of the No. 1 spot a handful of times now, but it’s on top once again for a fifth total week after spending last week at No. 2, behind Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss” (which didn’t make this week’s top 10 after its chart-topping debut).

Ben Affleck Launches His Music Career In A Super Bowl Ad For Dunkin – To The Dismay Of J-Lo, Fat Joe, And Jack Harlow

Ben Affleck Super Bowl Commerical 2024
Dunkin

Ben Affleck is trying his hand at being a pop star. The Air actor has let the “bored man in the world” headline get to him. To get his feet wet in the industry, Affleck didn’t have to travel far, given that his wife is pop music star Jennifer Lopez.

But as his “voice of reason,” Jack Harlow attempts to stop him from crashing Lopez’s studio session. However, as the Dunkin Super Bowl LVIII commercial shows, Affleck is too far gone. As Affleck interrupts what appears to be Lopez’s time in the office, working on This Is Me…Now, he’s met with hilarious stares of disapproval from Fat Joe, Matt Damon, and more. But Tom Brady approves.

Ultimately, the bulldozing didn’t work out in his favor, but Affleck isn’t going to give up without a fight.

So far, Lopez has shared two records from the forthcoming project, including the title track and “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Latto. Although Affleck hasn’t made an appearance on either, there are still eleven tracks to come from the body of work. Who knows, maybe Affleck made the final cut.
