Sauce Walka Challenges J. Cole To A Rap Off: “ILL GO BAR 4 BAR WIT ANY GOAT”

J. Cole’s run in 2023 has been nothing short of incredible this year. While he has not dropped an album this year, the North Carolina talent has been spazzing on every feature verse. There are so many standout performances to name, but we can name a few that you have to check out if you have not heard them already. Of course, we have to mention his recent efforts with Drake. The two linked up for the first time in over a decade on “First Person Shooter.”

Many feel Cole really carried the song and we can see their point. From the flow switch-ups to the witty bars, it was a moment in 2023. In fact, it was so good, it went number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He also appears on the deluxe version of For All The Dogs, where he and Drizzy go back and forth on “Evil Ways.” J. Cole has also worked with Lil Yachty on the jazz and boom bap-inspired cut “The Secret Recipe.” The Atlanta rapper did his best to match his counterpart and succeeded.

J. Cole Racks Up A Massive Amount Of RIAA Certifications

J. Cole’s discography is stacked with hits. However, what is a little more impressive is that a great deal of them are more on the lyrical side. He certainly has some of the more thought-provoking tracks over the past 10 years or so. All of this hard work and talented craftsmanship has led to an ultra-successful career. What has really solidified Cole’s stature within hip-hop lore has been his incredible run over the past couple of years. 2021 saw him return after a three-year solo album hiatus. The Off-Season provided so many memorable tracks.

“9 5 . s o u t h,” “a m a r i,” “m y . l i f e,” and so many others all provide something unique to the table. Then, after that, his feature run was absolutely incredible. He teamed up with Travis Scott, BIA, Young Thug, Drake, the list goes on and on. What is criminal about all of this, is that he has not grabbed a number-one hit until this year with “First Person Shooter.” While he was appreciative of the moment, it was not solely his song. However, you can argue he made the track what it is.

But, Cole can ignore all of the debating and just revel in his successes. Some social media posts, as well as information from the RIAA, confirm over 20 certifications. HipHopDX also mentioned that “All My Life” with Lil Durk has just gone two times platinum. Other certifications include The Off-Season going platinum, and his massive triumphant anthem “MIDDLE CHILD” nearing diamond status. Congratulations to J. Cole on all of these plaques!

What are your initial thoughts on these new RIAA certifications that J. Cole just earned? Does this solidify him as the best modern-day rapper? Has he been the best artist in the hip-hop genre for the past three years? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Drake Flirts With Rosalia On New Song “Evil Ways”

Drake is no stranger to shooting his shot with fellow celebs. Overnight he broke his very short hiatus from releasing new music with the new Scary Hours Edition of his recently released For All The Dogs. The project added an additional 6 songs which have multiple shots fired at people like Joe Budden and Pusha T between them. It also has a reference to Latin music superstar Rosalia, but in that case it’s a lot friendlier.

Among the new tracks there’s only one new feature. Drake teams up with J. Cole on the song “Evil Ways.” It’s on that track that Drizzy spits the bar “Next time I get in Rosalía face / I hope she tell her people that we need some space.” While he’s never collaborated with Rosalia, she does have a song with his frequent collaborator The Weeknd called “LA FAMA.” Earlier this year, Rosalia ended her engagement with fellow Latin music star Rauw Alejandro. As a result, dating rumors have followed her ever since though she hasn’t been connected to Drake himself yet. Listen to the full song below.

Drake Shoots His Shot With Rosalia

Following the release of the new EP Drake and J. Cole announced extended dates on their joint tour. “It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What?” will extend into 2024 with the new dates in a variety of American cities. The original leg of the tour which saw Drizzy teaming up with 21 Savage ended last month with an explosive final show in Toronto.

Despite Drake claiming that he intended to take a break from releasing new music, it didn’t last long. Many fans cite his ongoing beef with Joe Budden as the reason why he returned so quickly. Budden has pretty harsh criticism of For All The Dogs which sparked an ongoing back and forth between the two online. What do you think of Drake shooting his shot with Rosalia on one of his new songs? Let us know in the comment section below.

“It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What?”: Drake & J. Cole Add 10 New Dates

After closing out his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Sav in Toronto last month, Drake announced he would be taking some well-deserved time off to take care of his physical and mental health. Fans are fully in support of the rapper’s decision. He’s given us Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind, Her Loss, and most recently, For All The Dogs over the span of just a few years. Despite his best efforts to rest, Champagne Papi continues to surprise us with a new project, Scary Hours 3, along with news of ten new dates added to his 2024 tour with J. Cole.

We were happy to hear the duo come together to get the Dreamville leader his first No. 1 single thanks to “First Person Shooter.” Now, they’ve joined forces again on “Evil Ways,” generating even more buzz for when the North Carolina native joins the Canadian onstage in January. They’ll be kicking things off in Denver, Colorado on the 18th with a show from the original tour that previously had to be rescheduled. Afterward, you can catch them in San Antonio and Oklahoma City, both of which have had additional shows added.

Drake And J. Cole Revel In Their ‘Evil Ways’ On Their New Collaboration

Drake and J. Cole are keeping the hype going for their upcoming It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Tour. Tonight (November 17), Drake dropped an extended version of his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs called The Scary Hours Edition. This updated version of the album serves as the third installation of Drake’s Scary Hours EP series.

The new collection features “Evil Ways,” a pumped-up, energetic new collaboration between Cole and Drizzy. On the song, the two heavy hitters go bar-for-bar, reflecting on their respective journeys to the top of the rap game.

Drake opens the song, running through his impressive resume, reminding everyone that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

“I got some evil ways / Even through the glasses, you can see the gaze / To find your way up to the top, this shit gon’ be a maze / Vogue’s swaggin’, sh*t the way, I’m runnin’ Beatles’ place,” raps Drake.

Cole then reflects on his career, reiterating the fact that he didn’t have to play any Hollywood games to earn GOAT status.

“I conquered hell, I walked the villain, set my feet ablaze / My heart harder every year likе sneakers that Adidas made / I nеver did the VMAs, I’m not in need of praise,” raps Cole.

Last month, Drake dropped the Cole collaboration “First Person Shooter” from the standard edition of For All The Dogs. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Cole’s first-ever No. 1 on the chart.

You can listen to “Evil Ways” above.

Drake Breaks Hiatus With Upcoming EP ‘Scary Hours 3’ & J. Cole Collab Visuals

Drake

Drake has sent shockwaves through the music world with a surprise announcement of his upcoming EP, Scary Hours 3, following his declaration of going on hiatus. The chart-topping artist captivated fans by sharing a dynamic two-minute trailer, teasing its release. The Toronto native has also teamed up with J. Cole and dropped the music video for their collaboration, “First Person Shooter.”

‘Scary Hours 3’

Drake recently previewed his surprise announcement of his new  EP titled, Scary Hours 3, after claiming he was going on a hiatus.

Drizzy surprised his fans on Nov. 16 by posting a thrilling two-minute trailer on his Instagram account, hinting at his Scary Hours 3 release, scheduled for Nov. 17. In the trailer, the “IDGAF” rapper boasts about his recent achievements, acknowledging his unwavering confidence in his latest work.

“I’ll say this to you: I feel no need to appease anybody,” he says. “I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped that I know I could go and disappear for, whatever, six months, a year, two years. Even though I’m not really, like, into the super lengthy disappearances for the sake of mystery,” Drake said in the trailer.

He also claimed that he made the EP in five days. The response from fans on social media was overwhelming, with users on Twitter (X) expressing their enthusiasm for Drake’s upcoming project.

One user named @GoIdenState commented, “MY GOAT DROPPING BACK TO BACK,” and another user named @erujabidi commented, “This is all we needed..omg.”

It’s All A Blur Tour: Big As The What?

This news comes shortly after Drake’s announcement in October that he planned to take a break from music due to stomach-related health issues. Following the conclusion of his It’s All A Blur Tour, Drake shared the statement with his fans, expressing the need to prioritize his well-being.

However, the unveiling of Scary Hours 3 and the announcement of his tour with J. Cole named It’s All A Blur Tour: Big As The What? cast doubt on Drake’s hiatus claims.

‘First Person Shooter’

Adding to the controversy, Drake and J. Cole dropped the music video for their collaboration, “First Person Shooter.” The video features Drake showcasing his dance moves, including a Michael Jackson-inspired spin and his signature sequined glove.

Meanwhile, Scary Hours 3 marks Drake’s third project since Nov. 2022. The previous projects include the collaborative album Her Loss with Atlanta rapper 21 Savage and his latest album, For All The Dogs

Drake Ties MJ?

In other news involving Drake, he tied the late music icon Michael Jackson with the most No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 songs by a male solo artist with 13. Social media fans debated whether his accomplishment was equal to Jackson’s due to present-day streaming.

Andre 3000 Returns

In a related story, legendary OutKast member Andre 3000 announced his return to music with a mind-bending debut solo album titled New Blue Sun.  The album showcases his versatility as an artist, featuring him playing various instruments, including his iconic flute.
