Boosie Badazz Wouldn’t Work With Gunna For $1 Billion

Boosie Badazz recently shared in an interview that he wouldn’t even consider collaborating with Gunna for $1 billion. He later reiterated his previous comments about the rapper in his talk with TMZ Hip Hop. This isn’t the first time Boosie’s shared his thoughts on Gunna. Various allegations that Gunna “snitched” on YSL founder Young Thug have been circulating amid the RICO case.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Boosie said. He thought about it more, claiming, “If you gave me $1 billion…No, I ain’t even gon’ say it. I might incriminate myself. I ain’t even gon’ say what I would do if they gave me $1 billion. What I would do to a rat if they gave me a rat to do business with $1 billion. I don’t wanna incriminate myself, sorry.” He added, “They got a lot of Gunnas in this sewer,” referring to his previous labeling of the rapper as a “rat.” “We in New York City, I see about three Gunnas right now. One just went under the sewer. They all over here.”

Boosie Called Gunna A “Rat”

Boosie previously spoke out about his thoughts on Gunna taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. Earlier this week, he appeared on The Big Homies House podcast, where he explained that he doesn’t think there’s much hope left for Gunna’s career. “Gunna might be done unless he go to another country,” he said. “I don’t want no rat to excel. I hope he never sell a record again,” the rapper added.

Boosie isn’t the only one of Gunna’s peers that has spoken out on his plea deal. Lil Durk discussed the situation on DJ Akademiks’ Off the Record podcast in May. “That man told,” he claimed, “You should have went in there and kept your mouth closed.” Durk continued, “If you a rat, you a rat. If you rewind this clip a little bit, I looked into the camera and told you, if you a rat, I f***ing hate you. Because I love Thug.”

Lily-Rose Depp Reveals She Sometimes Had To “Steer Clear” Of The Weeknd On Set

In a recent interview, Lily-Rose Depp shared details of what it was like working on the set of her new series alongside The Weeknd, The Idol. While discussing the creative processes of different actors she worked with on the show, she got into The Weeknd’s methods, revealing that she occasionally had to “steer clear” of the artist on set.

I don’t think anybody went full method — nobody lost their minds,” Depp explained. “Well,” she continued, “sometimes when Abel would get — I don’t want to reveal too much about where Abel’s character goes, but when he would be in full Tedros mode sometimes, I would steer clear of him. I’d be like, ‘He’s in his zone right now.’”

Depp went on to explain, “For something that does, of course, explore darker themes and has some pretty heavy emotional moments to it and everything, the vibe on set was quite lighthearted.” She says, “We’re all really good friends and we all are similar people and really understand each other. We were having a lot of laughs, listening to a lot of music, dancing around, and that kind of energy is what made the heavier moments easier and possible, because whenever you knew that there was a bigger, emotional scene coming up, you felt like you were surrounded by people that you feel comfortable with, people that have your back, and you feel that in the show.”

The Idol premieres in the U.S. on June 4, and has already managed to stir up some controversy. Some critics noted frequent nudity in the series, while a Rolling Stone piece on the set’s culture featuring one interviewee comparing the script to “sexual torture porn,” also made waves. The piece explored the series’ production, and revealed a “major creative overhaul” that took place after Amy Seimetz left the crew. Accounts detailed a behind-the-scenes “shitshow,” on set. The project still has many supporters, however, including actress Sharon Stone, who said The Idol “addresses the root of crisis in entertainment.”

Master P Recalls How He Saved Snoop Dogg’s Life

Master P recently reflected on his past in an interview. In it, he shared a story of how he played a role in avoiding a potential tragedy involving Snoop Dogg. The No Limit CEO elaborated further on his Instagram. Furthermore, Master P emphasized that he had a hand in diffusing the situation between Snoop and his former label Death Row Records. However, he said it was ultimately Snoop’s humility and willingness to listen that saved the day.

In his interview, Master P referenced something Snoop said in his own interview with The Pivot podcast. The iconic West Coast rapper recounted the Death Row Records incident in that podcast. The rapper-producer acknowledged that he cautioned Snoop against releasing a diss record against his former label. Snoop had planned to release an album titled F*ck Death Row. However, Master P, recognizing the potential consequences, advised against it. He even recalled giving Snoop a significant sum of money. This demonstrated his support and respect. It also showed just how serious he was about trying to get Snoop not to release the diss album. Clearly, it would have meant serious repercussions for the rapper.

Snoop, acknowledging the wisdom of Master P’s advice, ultimately decided to shelve the album. He admitted that the idea was misguided and would have only led to further destruction. The rapper expressed his gratitude to Master P for intervening. Furthermore, he recognized that his actions had saved him from a potentially detrimental situation. Master P was motivated by his faith and a sense of doing what was right. He explained that he believed it was important for Snoop to show gratitude and acknowledge the opportunities he had been given.

In a subsequent interview, the producer and record exec further elaborated on the importance of integrity and gratitude, emphasizing the need to avoid conflict with other black men. He urged Snoop to embrace his role as a leader and make wise decisions. What do you think about the Death Row Records drama? Should Snoop have released the diss album? Would it really have put his life in danger? Sound off in the comments below!

Ludacris Was Surprised That “Southern Hospitality” Was A Hit

Ludacris has let fans in on a surprising tidbit about one of his biggest hits. The rapper recently appeared on the All The Smoke podcast hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. There, Ludacris dropped a surprising revelation about one of his chart-topping hits. Despite his successful career, he admitted that the song “Southern Hospitality” from 2000 took him by surprise. Apparently, it was initially created as a rush job to complete an album.

Luda shared that the track was produced at the eleventh hour to revamp his independent album, Incognegro. This was for his major label debut, Back For the First Time. He credited Pharrell and Chad, known as The Neptunes, for their ability to deliver a hit even at the last minute. Luda then reflected on the creative process. The rapper-turned-actor explained that when he first heard the beat, he vibed with it and thought it was cool. However, he didn’t anticipate the song’s immense success. “I did not know that it was the hit that it became,” Luda said.

Luda On Why He Isn’t Given Credit As a Lyricist

Recalling the writing process, Ludacris mentioned sitting in his car in the studio parking lot, penning lyrics to the instrumental freshly cooked up by Pharrell and Chad. Although he felt it was good, he admitted that others around him believed the record had the potential to be a huge hit. Ludacris also reflected on why some people don’t seem to give him credit as a lyricist.

JAY-Z was one of the ones that said, you know, he don’t think I get the lyrical credit that I deserve because of the visuals,” Luda revealed. “People ask me, ‘Why don’t you think get the credit?’ Because I played too goddamn much, that’s what I do! And I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s why my name is Ludacris, because it’s beyond crazy, it’s wild, it’s ridiculous.” Regardless, Luda has had a larger than life career and an insane amount of success. What do you think of the new revelations in the interview? You can check it out above and let us know in the comments below!

ASAP Rocky Explains His Approach To Fashion: “I’m Drawn To Things That Others Look Past”

Call him what you want, pretty motherf*cker, fashion killa, or A$AP Rocky. Either way, he’s almost always the best-dressed in the room – and he knows it. Since he first came up as a rapper the New York native has carried himself with the utmost confidence, wearing whatever makes him feel (and look) like number one. Earlier this month Rocky – born Rakim Mayers – spoke with The Times about some of his personal style preferences, specifically explaining why he doesn’t go all-out for red-carpet events as some other celebs do.

“They look silly sometimes. Shout out to the people who actually execute,” the soon-to-be father of two told the outlet. He mentioned that he views his music and fashion in a similar light – they’re both methods of expression he enjoys using to surprise people. The self-proclaimed “godfather of mixing it up” also finds himself “naturally attracted to things that other people might find too obscure or too complicated.” Obviously, he’s referring to the hilarious shirt he sported during a recent trip to Japan, fully clad with miniature versions of him running through Paris in his Timbs.

ASAP Rocky is a Man Who Knows What He Likes

For Rocky, it’s all about what’s not obvious to the average eye. “I like to think I’m drawn to things that others look past. Since my first song, I’ve been rapping about Raf Simons and Rick Owens. It was also about mixing high-end with streetwear. I do that in my sleep,” he bragged. Elsewhere in their chat, the “Houston Old Head” hitmaker showed love to those in the fashion industry working hard to put together countless shows every season.

“I think going to a fashion show is the same as going to see an artist on stage – most people don’t realize what it takes. It’s incredible how they do it and I tip my hat to them,” he told The Times. Is ASAP Rocky someone you look to for style inspiration? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
