Jeremy Renner Speaks Out While Recovering From Snow Plow Accident

After being a victim of a recent snow plow accident and being rushed to the intensive care unit, actor Jeremy Renner offered his fans and loved ones an update while in a hospital bed.

Sharing a selfie with bruises covering his face, Renner revealed on Instagram Tuesday that he’s “too messed up now to type.” But he thanked everyone for their support nonetheless.

“Thank you all for your kind words,” the Hurt Locker actor wrote, adding, “Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Several celebrities entered his comments to lend their support. Fellow Avengers star Chris Hemsworth wrote underneath the post, “Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!”

Chris Evans added, “Tough as nails. Love you buddy.”

Sending his love, Chris Evans also commented. “Continued prayers your way brutha,” the Guardians of the Galaxy actor wrote, adding a heart emoji.

According to the Reno-Gazette Journal, the 51-year-old was run over by a snow plow after it began to roll near his property. Renner was reportedly helping someone remove their car from the snow shortly before the accident occurred.

Revealing that foul play is not believed to be a factor in this case, Sheriff Darin Balaam shared about the incident in a recent press conference, “An eyewitness detailed seeing Mr. Renner getting into the PistenBully and not seeing him again until the Pistenbully came to rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway,” continuing, “We believe this is a tragic accident.”

Neighbors nearby reportedly aided the actor until medical personnel arrived on the scene. He was then airlifted to a local hospital in Reno, Nevada, and later placed in the intensive care unit.

Though the accident could’ve proved fatal, we’re happy that the actor appears to be recovering from the scary experience.

Ryan Clark Reacts To Damar Hamlin’s Injury

Ryan Clark had an emotional reaction to Damar Hamlin’s frightening injury on Monday night during the Buffalo Bills game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Addressing the situation on ESPN’s SportsCenter after the game, Clark spoke candidly about the “ugly” side of football.

He began: “This is about Damar Hamlin, and it’s about a young man at 24-years-old that was living his dream .. that a few hours ago, was getting ready to play the biggest game of his NFL career, and there’s probably nowhere else in the world he wanted to be. And now, he fights for his life.”

From there, Clark continued: “And when Damar Hamlin falls to the turf, and when you see the medical staff rush to the field and both teams are on the field, you realize this isn’t normal. You realize, this just isn’t football. And so many times in this game, and in our job as well, we use the cliches. ‘I’m ready to die for this.’ I’m willing to give my life for this.’ ‘It’s time to go to war.’ And I think sometimes, we use those things so much, we forget that part of living this dream is putting your life at risk. And tonight, we got to see a side of football that is extremely ugly. A side of football that no one ever wants to see or never wants to admit exists.”

The incident occurred in the first quarter after Tee Higgins slammed into Hamlin. Medical staff performed CPR on Hamlin on the field, before rushing him to a local hospital. The Bills later confirmed that Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest after the hit.

Clark suffered his own medical emergency during his NFL career in a game against the Broncos in Denver in 2007. The high altitude exacerbated a pain in his side. It turned out he suffered a splenic infarction from a sickle cell trait he was diagnosed with as a child.

“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how?” Bayless tweeted at the time. “This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

After he began catching backlash for the post, Bayless attempted to clarify what he meant.

“Nothing is more important than that young man’s health. That was the point of my last tweet. I’m sorry if that was misunderstood but his health is all that matters,” Bayless tweeted.

Finally, during Tuesday morning’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless apologized at length.

“I apologize for what for what we’re going to set out to do here today, if it offends anyone because we’re going to try to do the show pretty much as usual we do the show,” he said. “I’ll admit up front that I’m still shook up what happened last night to Damar Hamlin.”

“In fact, I’m not sure I’m capable of doing this show today,” he added.

Bayless went on to say that he and the crew struggled with the decision as to whether to stay on the air on Tuesday.

While Skip Bayless was on the show, his usual co-host, Shannon Sharpe was not present. It is unclear why, although Bayless confirmed he’ll be back on Wednesday.

As WREG reports, three attendees obtained injuries as a result of the gunfire. Thankfully, though, authorities have confirmed that they’re non-life-threatening and were able to receive treatment at UT Medical Center.

She later added, “For a second, it really did like we were about to get shot, like, we were very close.”

Multiple weapons were also recovered at the scene. Additionally, several witnesses and possible suspects were detained as the investigation progresses.

TMZ reports that Renner was operating a machine called a Snow Cat when it accidentally ran over his leg. He suffered a substantial loss of blood. A neighbor was luckily able to put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics could arrive.

“Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital. Mr. Renner was the only involved party in the incident.”

Steph Curry Goes Down With Shoulder Injury: Watch

One could make the argument that Steph Curry is the most valuable player this season. He has been carrying this Warriors team on his back, although they still have a losing record. Of course, this is not his fault, however, it might be seen as a blip on his resume.

Over the course of the last two games, the Warriors have truly struggled. Last night against the Bucks, the team was not very good. Moreover, they played against Indiana last night, and it was more of the same as they were being blown out at halftime.

Steph Curry Goes Down

Things eventually went from bad to worse for the team as Curry experienced a shoulder injury late in the third quarter. As you can see in the clips below, Curry was immediately clutching at his shoulder. Furthermore, after being looked at by trainers, he was told to go to the locker room.

Curry was never able to return to the game, which is certainly a scary situation for the team. Without Steph on the floor, the Warriors weren’t able to do much as their offense went stagnant. Overall, it is just the worst situation for the Warriors to be in right now.

Moving forward now, Curry will have to get an MRI on his shoulder. This will reveal the extent of the damage that has been done. For now, the only thing the Warriors can do is remain optimistic that he will be back soon. If not, this Warriors losing skid could get a whole lot worse.

Let us know what you think of the injury, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the sports world.
