Chlöe’s ‘In Pieces’ Has A Confirmed Release Date And Her Announcement Teased An Unreleased Track

We’ve known since January 24 that Chlöe’s debut solo album, In Pieces, would drop sometime in March. Since that announcement, Uproxx’s August 2022 cover star has turned up the anticipation by releasing singles “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel.” The latter arrived last week, and fans were not happy that it featured Chris Brown, but Chlöe has returned with good news to wash out the bad taste in their mouths.

Today, February 20, Chlöe confirmed that In Pieces is coming on March 31. The announcement video was soundtracked by an unreleased track. “My tears are like the water. my heart is like the sun. through chaos, beauty grows. there’s power in my pain,” Chlöe tweeted.

Chlöe is fresh off co-headlining the NBA On TNT American Express Road Show on February 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her performance set the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in motion, culminating in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game last night, February 19.

She wore a cheerleader’s uniform with “#IN PIECES” written across her chest.

In a fan-captured video, Chlöe told the crowd, “I just turned in my first debut album two days ago. It was the best Valentine’s Day gift to myself because when I was writing this album, I was dealing with too many … and I’m like, ‘You know what, girl? You deserve better than that.’ And instead of trying to get back at them, I’ma just let karma do its thing. I’ma ‘Pray It Away.’”

Chlöe Shares Trailer For New Album “In Pieces”

Chlöe just shared a new trailer for her upcoming debut album In Pieces, dropping on March 31st this year. Moreover, this comes after news of the album’s completion and after she shared much excitement for it. “I turned in the album!!!” she shared to Instagram a couple of days ago. “Been crying tears of joy. 3 years in the making. can’t wait for y’all to hear … SOON!!!” With this newest post, the singer hinted at the project’s themes and aesthetic direction. Overall, it seems like the Bailey sister will bring a grand, lush, and personal statement to her fans.

“IN PIECES 3.31.23,” she captioned her post with a heart emoji (the real thing, not the pure red emoji). “My tears are like the water. my heart is like the sun. through chaos, beauty grows. there’s power in my pain,” she added. Furthermore, the short clip features a song snippet, album title, and release date. In the video, Chlöe stands in underwear inside a glass case. While posing and showing off her body and red locks, she stands among flowers, vines, and fallen leaves. As the video closes out, she sheds a tear and the glass case cracks. Also, the song snippet features gorgeous harmonized and manipulated vocals, a lumbering beat, and some distorted synthesizers.

“In Pieces” Collabs Catch Heat

Even though this is exciting news for any R&B fan, her rollout fell victim to some criticism as well. Most of it stems from the announcement of a Chris Brown collab set to drop later this week. Furthermore, many fans expressed disappointment at the 24-year-old working with a historically abusive artist. In fact, backlash to the team-up garnered such outrage that Chris Brown engaged in a lengthy Instagram rant calling out his haters.

While Chlöe hasn’t said much about that situation, she did recently clap back at claims that she Photoshopped performance pictures. “I love you too,” she replied to the a commenter who expressed doubt. “It’s the combo of a corset, latex, and the lower angle. I love my body when I have extra weight on me. I love my body when I get snatched because I’m dancing a lot. The videos match. Y’know I love editing but I’ve been working hard on my body. I take that as a compliment, thank you.” However you take the situation, let us know in the comments if you’re also excited for In Pieces. Also, check out the trailer below and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Chlöe.

Chloe Bailey Responds To Followers Accusing Her Of Photoshopping Snatched Performance Photos

Despite their massive bank accounts, many celebrities often get caught for photoshopping faux pas on social media. Rather than hiring a professional, many will FaceTune images themselves. Usually, this promptly lands them a spot as the internet’s laughing stock for that day. Earlier this weekend, Chloe Bailey made it clear that she’s not one to alter her uploads after a fan called out her obviously snatched waist.

The speculation began after the Atlanta-born artist posted on Friday (February 17). She was wearing a skin-tight blue and white sporty outfit for a performance. “Put me on the team coach. #AllStar,” she wrote in the caption, referencing yesterday’s celebrity game. While her body has often gets praise for its bodacious shape, many are taking notice that Bailey looks particularly thin around her midsection.

“Is this real or photoshop?” one person wrote in the comments with a series of eye-roll emojis. A more positive criticism reads, “I love you girl, but the photoshop is too much here. Your body is amazing without it. This doesn’t look real.” Rather than lash out in response to the trolls, Bailey took the response as a compliment.

The “Do It” songstress replied, “I love you too. It’s the combo of a corset, latex, and the lower angle. I love my body when I have extra weight on me. I love my body when I get snatched because I’m dancing a lot.” She went on to note that the videos included later in the post match the photos. This seemingly proves that nothing has been altered on her end.

“Y’know I love editing but I’ve been working hard on my body,” she explained. “I take that as a compliment, thank you.” Many have since praised Bailey for her handling of the hate, also going on to celebrate the time she’s been putting in to achieve her physical goals.

Elsewhere in the news, the 24-year-old is facing backlash for her decision to release a single with Chris Brown. The R&B star’s allegations from various women have led many to cancel him over the years though he still maintains an impressive roster of collaborators. Chlöe’s Second ‘In Pieces’ Single Features A Guest Star That Has Fans Less Than Enthused

For the past several weeks, the anticipation for Chlöe‘s long-awaited debut solo album In Pieces has been approaching a fever pitch. However, the “Pray It Away” singer’s announcement for the album’s “second piece,” a single titled “How Does It Feel,” put a damper on the fervor after fans found out it features an unwanted special guest.

Posting the title and what appears to be a screenshot from an accompanying music video, Chlöe revealed that “How Does It Feel” features controversial R&B singer Chris Brown. Brown, of course, has a notorious reputation for being… well… a bit of a jackass, to put it nicely. Since the big turning point, his 2009 assault of Rihanna, he’s been accused of harassment, battery, sexual assault, and more.

The singer has his defenders — most notably an extremely vocal contingent of online stans rivaling the stringency of the Barbz, Beyhive, and Navy — including Kelly Rowland, but fans still reacted poorly to Chlöe’s announcement.

To be fair, she’s far from the only young singer to employ Brown’s services as a guest singer. In recent years, Danileigh, H.E.R. Sevyn Streeter, and Tinashe have all dueted with him — a testament to his stardom and appeal in the 2000s (formative years for most of the young women who grew up loving his music). Chlöe Bailey was all of 12 when Brown first fell from grace and likely has her own positive personal experiences with him since.

Still, he’s not the most beloved character in the music world, as the reactions to his feature show. More than likely, this will just end up being a hiccup in what will turn out to be a successful rollout. Still, you have to wonder who thought this would be such a good idea.

In Pieces is due this March through Parkwood/Columbia.

Chlöe Previews Debut Album With Angelic “Pray It Away” Single & Visual

It’s been a long time coming, but the rollout for Chloe Bailey’s debut solo album is finally underway. Today (January 27), the project’s first single, “Pray It Away” made its mark across DSPs as the Atlanta songstress reflects on a toxic relationship that only a higher power can help her through.

As Rated R&B notes, Chlöe co-produced the track alongside ThankGod4Cody, ECassshh, Pitt Tha Kid, and Puredandy. Unsurprisingly, her vocals shine bright all through the over two-and-a-half-minute-long song, not to mention in the Madeline Kate Kann-directed visual.

“Can’t talk to my friends ’cause they hate you too / And if the option’s violence, don’t make me choose it,” the obviously scorned lover sings on the pre-chorus. “God knows my heart, I’m wildin’, wildin’ / So close to doin’ somethin’.”

As she hits every note in the accompanying music video, Bailey also expertly performs choreography by Cortland Brown.

Earlier this week, the performer revealed that her first solo album, In Pieces, will arrive sometime this March. Speaking on the work she’s put into the upcoming effort, Chlöe said, “I have been the rawest, the most vulnerable, and the most open I have been in my entire life with this album.”

“I used to believe the way I love so hard without question, was a curse. Only to find out, it’s been my greatest gift all along.”

Chlöe Opts To ‘Pray It Away’ In The First Piece From Her Upcoming Debut Album

Ahead of her upcoming solo debut album, In Pieces, Chlöe has shared its lead single, “Pray It Away.”

On the first piece of In Pieces, Chlöe recovers from a broken heart by getting in touch with her spirituality. Initially, she is angry and vengeful over a man who did her dirty. But instead of exacting revenge, she chooses to pray the hurt and the heartache away.

“God knows my heart, I’m wildin’, wildin’ / So close to doin’ somethin’ / Maybe I should go and take it to church / And wash it away,” she sings on the song’s chorus, noting that although she wants this man to hurt, she’s deciding, “I’ma just pray it away.”

In the song’s accompanying visual, directed by Madeline Kate Kann, Chlöe is seen dancing in a historic church in downtown Los Angeles, surrounded by dancers dressed in white.

While we don’t know much else about her upcoming album, Chlöe is promising a soul-baring, unfiltered project.

“I have been the rawest, the most vulnerable, and the most open I have been in my entire life with this album,” said Chlöe in a statement. “I used to believe the way I love so hard without question, was a curse. Only to find out, it’s been my greatest gift all along.”

Chlöe Announces Her New Single, ‘Pray It Away,’ The First From Her Debut Album, ‘In Pieces’

New music from Chlöe is officially on the way. Ahead of her upcoming debut solo album, In Pieces, Chlöe has taken to social media to announce the lead single from the album.

The upcoming single, which is set to arrive later this week, is called “Pray It Away.” On the single cover, she is seen surrounded by candles in what looks like the chapel of a church. In the post’s caption, she noted that “Pray It Away” would be the “1ST PIECE” of In Pieces.

Yesterday, during a discord following the announcement of In Pieces, Chlöe revealed that none of her previously released solo singles — “Have Mercy,” “Treat Me,” “Surprise,” and the Latto-assisted “For The Night” — will be on the album.

While we don’t really have an idea of what to expect from “Pray It Away,” Chlöe spoke with Uproxx for our cover story, saying that the album will sound different from the music she makes with her sister, Halle Bailey, as duo Chloe X Halle.

“I’m a brand new artist and I haven’t had a body of work out [yet], so it’ll be the first thing people hear from me, really,” she said. “So I think that’ll be surprising in itself.”

What Has Chloe Said About Her New Album, ‘In Pieces?’

It’s official, Chloe Bailey has announced she will be releasing her debut album. Bailey, one half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle, with her sister Halle, is finally ready to step out on her own. The Parkwood singer’s upcoming project will be available soon. The “Mercy” singer dropped a teaser trailer on social media on Tuesday ahead of the forthcoming project’s release. The project, titled, In Pieces, will be released in March 2023.

The album was originally self-titled, but it seems the 24-year-old singer went in a different direction. In an interview with Uproxx, Chloe pointed out that her new music will be different from her past work with Chloe x Halle and that she, as a solo artist is entirely different.

“I think just the body of work,” she said. “I’m a brand new artist, and I haven’t had a body of work out [yet], so it’ll be the first thing people hear from me, really. So I think that’ll be surprising in itself.”

Vibe reports that, during a Q & A with fans online, the “Treat Me” singer shared that her music, like her influences, is a myriad of different genres. She noted this project would have influences from artists like Ye, Imogen Heap, Donna Summer, and more.

While creating the album, Chloe said that she learned to love herself on a deeper level and wants her fans to do the same. However, she noted the most important thing she learned is to”trust her gut,” and that timing is eveI’veing.

“The biggest lesson I’ve learned has been to trust my gut and to trust the timing, ” she told Complex.

Chloe Bailey’s Debut Solo Album: R&B Diva Reveals Title & March Release Date

We’re not even a full month into 2023 yet, and already the new music we’ve heard has been undeniably amazing. Besides what artists have already dropped, it seems as though a highly anticipated new album is being announced multiple times a week. The latest lyricist to give us some good news regarding their debut project is Chloe Bailey.

Of course, the world already loves her for her work alongside little sister Halle Bailey on their Ungodly Hour project. That previously landed back in 2020, boasting popular titles like “Do It,” “Forgive Me,” and the titular track.

As the younger of the two began an exciting venture into the world of Disney, Chloe launched her career as a solo artist. She shared her “Have Mercy” hit at the end of 2021. While Halle was “Under The Sea” with Flounder and other friends on The Little Mermaid set, her sibling was performing at the VMAs and teasing more amazing singles to come.

It initially seemed as though we may hear Bailey’s debut album arrive last year, but instead, she built up plenty of suspense with her sultry songs. First, we heard “Treat Me” in April, and after that, she had some fun on the Shemix of “GYALIS.”

Arguably the most salacious of Chlöe’s recent singles is “Surprise,” in which she flirtatiously sings about having her panties pulled to the side.

Finally, Chlöe gave us “For the Night” featuring Latto at the end of October. Ahead of the popular track’s release, the vocalist revealed during a Twitter Spaces session that she wrote it about Gunna and their short-lived fling that took place in early 2022.

Of course, the world has been eager to hear more from the 24-year-old. Thankfully, she’s been sharing countless thirst traps on her Instagram feed to fill the appetites of hungry fans.

One of them arrived on Tuesday (January 24), along with exciting news regarding her long-awaited release. “‘IN PIECES.’ MY DEBUT ALBUM. MARCH 2023,” she wrote in the caption.

The accompanying video clip sees Chlöe wearing bright red locks and a skin-tight dress in the same shade. A front cutout reveals her cleavage for the camera, and gold hoops dangle from her ears. In either hand, she appears to hold golden objects on a platter.

Chlöe Has Fans ‘In Pieces’ After Announcing Her Anticipated Debut Solo Album With A Fiery Photoshoot

Chlöe has finally unveiled the title and release date for her long-awaited debut solo album (one of the year’s most anticipated R&B projects). Her new record, In Pieces, has fans feeling that exact way with this announcement.

She dropped a new video on social media today (January 24) that finds her donning a powerful red dress and posing with some scaled weights.

“When did it all get so heavy,” she asks in the audio snippet.

Given she also changed her Twitter layout to seemingly fit the album’s energy, it appears this is going to be a fiery era. Before the official announcement, Chlöe had dropped a handful of solo singles, including “Treat Me” and “Surprise,” that had fans hooked.

“I am just so eager for the fans to hear the songs and the music, and I hope they love it when it finally comes out into the world,” she told Uproxx in a cover story last summer. “I’m a brand new artist and I haven’t had a body of work out [yet], so it’ll be the first thing people hear from me, really.
