Travis Scott’s Album ‘Utopia’ Is On The Way And The Houston Astros Were The First To Preview It

Travis Scott fans are in luck. The rapper’s fourth studio album Utopia is ready to be released, or so Scott says. In February, in a clip posted to social media, the producer told fans that although he couldn’t wait for the project to be released. However, he wouldn’t drop it until a few artists signed to his Cactus Jack label, including Don Toliver, were taken care of first.

Staying true to his promise, Travis Scott is preparing to share the project with the world. During his scheduled appearance at the Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park, he allowed the players to be the first to preview it before its public release.

When asked how he felt to be onsite in his hometown with new music on the horizon, Scott told Mark Berman, Fox 26’s sports director, “Man, you know, fresh from Utopia. Nah, mean? Live from the Utopia. It’s on the way now, Mark.”

Continuing, “I had to come down and play Utopia for the boys in the locker room. I had to get them right for the game. Finished and mastered, Mark. You know how we do, Mark. from the clubhouse to the stu.”

Travis Scott has shared no further information about the project. Instead, telling fans to keep a lookout for what’s to come.

Don Toliver is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Travis Scott Plays “Utopia” For The Houston Astros

We’re now one step closer to Utopia– unless, of course, Travis Scott was just playing with the Houston Astros. Moreover, the Houston native recently got social media incinerated with yet another tease towards his next album’s release. A video emerged of Travis at their game, remarking to the cameraman that he played the baseball team the project to get them ready against the Chicago Cubs. While speaking on the occasion, he said the album is on the way and told an unspecified Mark to “finish the master.” With this, hype for Utopia just reached the highest high it’s seen in a while.

However, it’s been a long time since Travis Scott first started dangling this project over his listeners’ arms. As such, maybe some fans are still a bit hesitant to take anything as true confirmation, despite his slow but sure musical return. For example, he recently featured on close colleague Chase B’s newest single “Ring Ring” alongside frequent collaborator Quavo, Cactus Jack signee Don Tolvier, and Ty Dolla $ign. Furthermore, previous features also hint at a prompt studio album comeback.

Travis Scott Played Utopia In The Locker Room

In addition, him and Offset teased new music together while performing at Rolling Loud Thailand, which only added to speculation instead of holding fans over. Despite his clues, it’s not the only avenue that Travis Scott remains active in. One other lane is his sneaker collaborations, the latest of which was unveiled to be a Nike Mac Attack collab. Sure, he just wore it instead of announcing it for public sale, but it’s still an indicator of another team-up. On the other hand, the “Trance” MC also previewed a new remix with Kodak Black of Lil Blessin’s “Likka Sto.”

Meanwhile, we’ve only been able to see the 32-year-old through his occasional performances as of late. During that same nightclub show where he premiered the Yak remix, he also gave a fan $5K. If you were that fan, would you take the money with a smile or beg him to drop Utopia instead? Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott and his next album.

SOURCE SPORTS: Lil Wayne Meets the Houston Astros Before His Concert

On Tuesday, the Houston Astros received a special visit before their game against the San Francisco Giants. Lil Wayne showed up to Minute Maid Park in Houston to hang out with the team for a bit. Right now, the “Lollipop” rapper is on his Welcome to Tha Carter tour and had a show that same night in Houston at the House of Blues. The highlight of his visit was meeting Astros manager Dusty Baker and former Yankees legend Reggie “Mr. October” Jackson, Jr.

Jackson Jr. works on Astros’ staff as he and Lil Wayne had a long conversation on the field. His visit was capped off with a jersey signed by the players. Wayne described the love the organization showed him.

“It meant the world.  They showed me way too much love and it seemed like they’re a pretty big fan and I’m a fan as well so it was all good.”

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman described meeting the Young Money rapper as “motivating” to The Associated Press.

It’s incredible to hang with one of the best, if not the best, ever to do it in his industry.  He’s inspired so many of us through his music and then just to get to meet him and see how down-to-Earth he is really was very motivating.”

During his concert that night, Tunechi made sure to shout out the Houston Astros after showing him “so much love.”

Lil Wayne Visits The Houston Astros

Lil Wayne has been very active in the sporting recently. Aside from the usual pictures of him at various NBA events, he has been making his presence known. He face-timed both the Cavinder Twins as well as LSU during the NCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship Tournament. He is even reportedly collabing with LSU freshman and rapper Flau’jae Johnson. Wayne is currently touring the US in his “Welcome To Tha Carter” tour. It began in Nashville and is set to end in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the Houston Astros are off to a strong start in the 2023 MLB season. The defending champions, at the time of writing, are second in the AL West. They are 2.5 games back from the Texas Rangers, whose massive off-season spending is paying off for the team. The Astros are currently five games into a six-game homestand before taking to the road to face the Mariners, Angels, and White Sox. However, they recently struggled, winning just two of their last five games.

Lil Wayne Visits The Astros, Gets Custom Jersey

According to a post from the Astros, Lil Wayne paid a visit to the Houston dugout on May 2. Wayne was in Houston for a stop on this “Welcome To Tha Carter” Tour. The video, captioned “game recognizes game”, shows Wayne eagerly meeting players. He is also heard greeting infielder Alex Bregman with the moniker “Tiger”. This is likely a reference to Bregman’s collegiate career at LSU. Bregman was a standout player at LSU. However, he never appeared in the College World Series while with the Tigers. The Tigers would later finish runners-up in the 2017 College World Series.

However, things didn’t just end with a quick visit. Wayne took photos with members of the team. Furthermore, he was presented with a signed #27 jersey with the nameplate “Tunechi”. #27 is the current number of second baseman Jose Altuve, who has worn it since 2011. What’s amusing about this entire encounter is that back in 2008, Wayne revealed in an ESPN article that he was a Red Sox fan. Does still back the Sox? Or has he changed his allegiance to Houston? Stephen A. Smith Thirsts Over Megan Thee Stallion

Stephen A. Smith continues to be one of the most entertaining people in the sports media world. Overall, he is a pioneer in the space who continues to do great things. In fact, he has expanded his horizons beyond just doing First Take. He now has his own podcast called Know Mercy where he is able to talk about anything he wants. Although the show can be political at times, sports fans have shown their appreciation for it. After all, who doesn’t want to hear Smith give his unfiltered takes on all facets of life?

Recently, Stephen A. Smith weighed in on Megan Thee Stallion and her first pitch at the Houston Astros home opener. Of course, Meg went viral for her pitch, although mainly because of how she looked. The artist wore an all-white outfit that showed off her curves. Subsequently, many commenters on social media were thirsting for her. As it turns out, Stephen A. is one of them. While taking to Know Mercy this weekend, Smith spoke about her look and how he didn’t appreciate David Hensley, who slyly put his glove on Meg’s butt.

Stephen A. Smith Loves Megan Thee Stallion

“I know that there’s a lot to walk away from,” Smith said in regard to Meg’s pitch. “I mean that white outfit she was wearing was pretty nice. She looked pretty nice in that. And that’s one thought to walk away from. The other thought to walk away from was the pitch itself, which wasn’t that great, but you didn’t expect it to be. So props to her. She came close enough. But the one thing I walked away from, and I forgot the guy’s name, but he had his hand on her backside. He did it quick. But he ain’t supposed to be touching her like that. “

Stephen A. Smith makes a great point about Hensley’s sly move. Everyone saw him do it, and he consequently went viral for it. As for Megan Thee Stallion, it seems like she still had a great time at the game. She got to do something that many have dreamed of. You can check out the moment that Smith was speaking on, down below.
