Here’s how to create Corina’s delectable Vegan Vanilla Cupcakes, a perfect treat to sweeten your Valentine’s Day:

Ingredients:

177.5 ML of oat milk (any nondairy milk will do)
½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
172 grams cake flour
150 grams organic cane sugar (avoid overfilling your cup to prevent overly sweet cupcakes)
½ tablespoon baking powder
3/8 teaspoon salt
56.5 grams melted vegan butter (unsalted)
½ tablespoon pure vanilla extract (opt for high-quality vanilla for the best flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the “Buttermilk”: Combine the oat milk and apple cider vinegar in a bowl to create a vegan buttermilk. Allow it to curdle, setting the foundation for your cupcakes’ moist texture.

The series follows the journey of Darrell Booker, a specialist from Microsoft Philanthropies, as he embarks on a national quest to raise awareness about financial literacy and empowerment. Through engaging narratives and compelling stories, Booker explores how technology can serve as a catalyst for change, offering solutions to mitigate disparities and pave the way for economic mobility and generational wealth creation.

The documentary spotlights the experiences of three individuals, each representing a unique perspective on the journey toward financial empowerment:

1. “Hannah” – Viewers are introduced to Hannah, a young foster care youth in Los Angeles, who harbors dreams of attending Howard University and pursuing a career as a mechanical engineer. Through her story, the documentary highlights the importance of education and opportunity in breaking the cycle of poverty and achieving financial independence. “Our America: In the Black” is set to air on  Hulu’s Black Stories Always hub and across the ABC Owned Television Stations’ streaming and digital platforms, as well as linear television. Viewers can catch the premiere on Saturday, Feb. 3, with subsequent airings scheduled throughout the following weeks. [WATCH] Defendant Attacker Faces Same Las Vegas Judge For Sentencing

In a shocking turn of events, Deobra Redden, the individual who attacked Las Vegas Judge Mary Kay Holthus during his sentencing hearing last week, was once again in front of her for a separate case on Monday, January 8.

Entering the courtroom surrounded by marshals, Redden appeared in restraints, wearing a spit mask, shackles on his wrists and legs, and orange mitts on his hands. Despite his aggressive actions in the previous encounter, he reportedly smiled at family members as he shuffled into court.

This time, Judge Holthus sentenced Redden to 19 to 48 months in prison for a 2022 attack involving a baseball bat. The defendant now faces 13 additional charges stemming from the assault on the judge.

The previous attack occurred after Judge Holthus denied Redden’s request for probation due to his history of violent offenses. Unshackled at the time, Redden leaped over the judge’s bench, attempting to put her in a headlock. Quick intervention by the judge’s law clerk and a marshal prevented further harm.

Holthus, who suffered a minor head injury, returned to work the next day. Despite the incident, she made it clear that Redden should be brought back to her courtroom for sentencing by any means necessary.
