Doja Cat Is Already Enjoying An Order Of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza A Month Before It Returns To Menus

Doja Cat stole the show during the first weekend of Coachella’s 2022 festival. Among headliners and big-name performers that included Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Baby Keem, Lil Baby, Phoebe Bridgers, and more, Doja Cat was able to stand out thanks to her set which included captivating choreography, vibrant outfits, and excellent performances of some of her most popular songs. Aside from her set, which featured appearances from Rico Nasty and Tyga, Doja also made an exciting announcement by the time the night was over. As she walked off the stage, Doja announced that she successfully convinced Taco Bell to bring back their beloved Mexican Pizza item.

“I brought back the Mexican Pizza, by the way!” Doja yelled as she walked off the stage. Now, just a few days later, Doja is already enjoying an order of the Mexican Pizza a month before Taco Bell is set to make it available on its menus. She shared a video of herself enjoying the meal while sitting by the pool. “This is the best thing that I have ever had,” she said after a maniacal laugh. “And I mean it.”

“All this time being a #TacoBellPartner was worth it for this moment,” she captioned the post. “Finally got my #mexicanpizza. Thanks @tacobell.” Through her partnership with Taco Bell, Doja also made a song about Mexican Pizza which she said was completely “contractual.”

Lucky Daye Pleases The Eye In His Fashionable Video For ‘NWA’ With Lil Durk

Last month, Lucky Daye once again proved why he’s one of the best acts in R&B with his sophomore album Candydrip. Through 17 songs and guest appearances from Smino, Chiild, Alex Isley, and Lil Durk. Candydrip highlighted Daye’s versatility as it’s quite different from his Grammy-nominated debut album Painted. Daye is currently on tour in support of his second album, and with just a few shows left, he returns with a brand new video for “NWA.”

The track, which features a guest verse from Lil Durk, is quite the fashionable effort as it features some stylish looks like Daye as he appears on collages that are artistically placed in sort of a photo album. While Durk does contribute a verse to the song, he doesn’t appear in the video. Instead, Daye recruits Smino and Algee Smith, who most notably plays Christophe McKay in HBO’s Euphoria series, for cameo appearances in the visual.

Daye’s new video arrives after he won his first Grammy at the award show earlier this month. He was selected in the Best Progressive R&B Album category for his 2021 project Table For Two. Prior to that, he collaborated with Syd for their romantic track “Could You Break A Heart.”

You can watch the video for “NWA” above.

Candydrip is out now via Keep Cool and RCA. You can stream it here.

ASAP Rocky Was Released From Jail After Posting Bail For $550,000 Following His Shooting Arrest

On Wednesday, the music world was surprised by the news that ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX as he arrived on a flight from Barbados with his girlfriend Rihanna, who he is expecting his first child with. According to NBC News, Rocky was taken into custody in connection to a shooting on November 6, 2021 in which the victim claims that Rocky shot at him three or four times with one of the bullets grazing his hand. Now, thanks to a report from TMZ, we now know that the rapper was released from jail after he posted bail.

According to XXL, Rocky’s bail was set at $550,000, and after he posted it, cameras captured him leaving police headquarters on Wednesday afternoon and heading into an SUV that waited for him in a rear parking lot. He was originally taken into custody by Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery/homicide division at 8:20 a.m. PST on Wednesday and he was booked into jail at 12:42 p.m. According to a press release that was shared on the Los Angeles Police Department’s Twitter, the alleged incident between Rocky and the victim, who was described as an “acquaintance” of Rocky, started with an argument in Los Angeles near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue.

“The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim,” the statement reads. “The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought his medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot. Detectives worked diligently to investigate and corroborate the reporting information, which helped identify the suspect(s) involved.”

Despite Rocky’s arrest on Wednesday morning, video captured police officers executing a search warrant on Rocky’s home in Los Angeles hours after the rapper’s detainment. Officers were seen in full gear with a battering ram to gain entrance onto the property.

Pooh Shiesty Was Sentenced To Five Years In Prison For Firearms Conspiracy

Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., learned how long he’ll be behind bars today. Nearly a year after he was arrested on firearms charges, Shiesty was sentenced to 63 months — a little over five years — in prison according to Variety. It comes after he was indicted on four firearms charges in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in October 2020 at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Williams later pled guilty to the charges after accepting a plea deal from prosecutors that reduced a possible life sentence to just 97 months in prison — a little over eight years in prison.

Shortly after Williams was arrested for the October 2020 incident, he was taken into custody once again, this time for a shooting incident that occurred at a Miami strip club during Memorial Day weekend. Variety reports that the outcome in that specific case is unknown at the moment. Williams’ plea deal in the October 2020 incident reduced his four firearms charges to just a single charge for conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes.

It’s unknown why Williams’ expected sentence of over eight years in prison was reduced to five years. Last month, it was reported that his lawyer was fighting the recommended eight-year sentence because “ballistics and forensic evidence” proved that Williams did not shoot the victim in the incident.

Bobby Shmurda Says Major Labels Are ‘Jumping’ And ‘Blackballing’ Him

At the end of last month, Bobby Shmurda shared a big announcement with his fans. He took to Instagram to reveal that he is officially an independent artist after parting ways with Epic Records where he’d been signed since 2014. “I just sign my release papers,” he wrote in the post. “Also jus made ah milly today I can’t wait to drop.” His exit came after he claimed in a prior Instagram post that he was not in control of his music. “I ain’t been in charge of my music since I was 19 years old and I just turned 27 and honestly idk when sh*t dropping,” he wrote. “So don’t ask me sh*t go ask them mf’s since they wanna control everything!!!!!!!”

It appears that Bobby hoped to secure a better deal with a major label with his newfound independence, but that has not been the case so far. Under a recent Instagram post, which he shared to promote his upcoming project They Don’t Know, Bobby took a moment to respond to a fan who thought he should delay the project from its April 29 release date. “Push it back and marker harder bro (js my opinion),” the fan wrote. In response, Bobby said, “@_frank_mathews_ and all my fans [cry and laughing emojis] nah F*** that I got major Lables jumping me Blackballing me and sh*ttttt and I’m from the hood young and rich black as sh*ttt and don’t give a [laughing emoji] about both and they Scare of me and I love that ishhh.”

Police Used A Battering Ram To Enter ASAP Rocky’s Home To Serve A Search Warrant

Paging Joe Biden. As was previously reported earlier today, ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX airport in connection with a November shooting. Rocky was coming off of a plane with Rihanna returning from a trip to her native Barbados. But what happened at ASAP Rocky’s home shortly thereafter is raising just as many eyebrows.

LAPD officers used a full-on battering ram to try to get into the security gate of the rapper’s house. They had a search warrant for the property in connection with the case and TMZ secured some crude video of the incident, as well as photos of boxes filled with papers being carried out of ASAP Rocky’s home. In the footage, a group of at least a half dozen cops stands in front of the gate and one of them bangs at it with a battering ram three times. When the strategy doesn’t appear to be working, another cop tries to pry it with what might be a crowbar and falls backward onto the ground when he realizes that it’s a pull-to-open gate and it swings open. [cue the circus music]

This seems like a fairly over-the-top way to serve a search warrant when you know that the owner of the home is already in custody. But this wouldn’t be the first time that police used excessive measures when it comes to an alleged crime involving a rapper. The victim of the shooting claims that ASAP Rocky opened fire on him last November three or four times and grazed his hand in the process.

Megan Thee Stallion Poses Naked In A Bathtub To Announce ‘Plan B’

Ahead of her Coachella weekend one performance this past weekend, Megan Thee Stallion was itching to give fans a live preview of her new single before its release. “I got this song that I recorded and every time I play it for a woman they start jumping and clapping,” she tweeted. “I think I wanna perform it at Coachella for the first time before I actually drop it.”

She debuted the racy “Plan B” at the festival, with the lyrics “D*ck don’t run me, I run d*ck.” And now, the single art for the release is just as provocative. “Plan B out Friday, pre-save it now!” she tweeted. In the tweet, Megan included the single art of her lavishly lying naked in a bathtub, covered in soap foam and smoking a slim cigarette.

“Plan B” is the first track Megan Thee Stallion is releasing since her “Sweetest Pie” collaboration with Dua Lipa last month. It’s also her first solo single (not counting her Super Bowl song for Flaming Hot Cheetos) since “Thot Sh*t” came out last year and went on to be nominated for a Grammy award.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Plan B” single is out on 04/22 via 300 Entertainment. Pre-order it here.

Dove Cameron Turned Lil Nas X’s ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ Into A Shivery, Seductive Ballad

Wow, it sounds like 2022 is going to be the year of Dove Cameron. After she burst out of the gate back in February with the dramatic queer anthem “Boyfriend” and its accompanying steamy video, now the emerging pop star is back with a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance for the books. Opting to cover Lil Nas X’s inescapable pop hit, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” she starts the song off incredibly slow and shivery, taking it more into the realm of seductive ballad than rap-adjacent banger.

But, by the time she’s done with the first low and slow verse, Cameron brings the energy up a bit, backed by her drummer and guitarist, who have no problem turning up the heat. Dove performs the whole song seated on a stool, but her vocal chops are impressive enough that she keep the energy high and the attention focused on her even when she’s starting off slow. Check out the performance up top and keep an ear out for another new single from the young musician coming soon.

A few weeks ago, she teased the song “Breakfast” on TikTok, and it’s already close to four million streams. And based on the string of emojis in the pre-save link, “Breakfast” will likely be the next thing we hear from her, that is, unless she’s got some more incredible cover songs up her sleeve. Speaking of, if you want to catch a live version of “Boyfriend” check it out below.

Sensational Foods You Can Only Eat At Coachella

Over the next two weekends, glitter-bedecked scenesters from all over the world will flock to the Southern California desert for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Just like the music, the art, and many of the experiences between stages, the food is curated with the same keen eye for top-caliber talent and unforgettable productions.

With three days each weekend and three meals each day, that leaves (*back of the envelope calculation*)… nine meals to make the most of the experience. 18 if you’re going for both weekends. The problem? There are more than 50 food purveyors, making figuring out what to eat as challenging as deciding between two of your favorite musicians performing at the same time.

Fortunately, many of these culinary delights can be found in restaurants outside the festival. But what about those ephemeral options that can only be enjoyed during the event? These are true once-in-a-lifetime tastes. We can’t live your life for you, but we can do our best to break down eight Coachella food offerings that you won’t want to miss.

That ninth one? That’s your freebie. Roll the dice on something and report back to us.

Each dinner celebrates local farmers, and the backdrop of Coachella’s VIP Rose Garden will make the occasion that much more special. Rates are $295 plus fees.

Lay’s Fresh 4D
Lay’s, the potato chip company, is joining the party too. This year they’re unveiling a mysterious, reservation-only “Fresh 4D” tasting, which promises 100% sustainably-sourced potatoes from farm to face in under 24-hours. Under a structure they’ve described as “Potadomes” in a press release, it’ll be a multi-sensory snacking experience complete with “three elevated bites that are an ode to the familiar Lay’s flavors consumers know and love.”

Surprisingly owned in part by pro wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Salt & Straw is famous for their “curiously delicious” ice cream shops. This year, Wunderground Coffee teamed up with Salt & Straw to take the science of ice cream even further. Each artists’ burger is available for one day only though, so get ‘em while you can.

Tekashi 69 Says He Was Flexing With Fake Cash In Recent Videos After Receiving Several Lawsuits

Controversy magnet Tekashi 69 claims he’s been flexing with fake cash after receiving several lawsuits over missed shows and late payments. He’s currently on the hook for a handful of cases, including one for his involvement in a 2018 robbery, two for skipping on shows after being paid upfront, and one for an unpaid bill to his former security company. All told, he’s in a bad way — or at least, that’s what he wants the courts to think, telling a judge he’s “struggling to make ends meet” and may declare bankruptcy.

This is why it was odd to see him on his social media flexing stacks of cash as he strutted in his driveway in a video on Instagram, boasting, “This is really my lifestyle.” He also flashed armloads of jewelry and a fleet of sports cars.

However, on Monday, he seemed to have a completely different attitude during an appearance on TMZ Live. When asked about $1 million in restitution he owes in the robbery case, he replied, “I ain’t got it right now. I ain’t got it. And that was prop money. I ain’t got it.” He explained the video by noting, “I’m an entertainer and obviously, we talking about it, so I did a pretty good job at entertaining people… You know how you have a degree in law? I have a degree in entertainment.”

Be that as it may, he’ll need to find a way to turn that prop cash into the real thing if he wants to stay ahead of the repo man. Otherwise, he could end up in worse straits than the ones he found himself in when he was arrested for racketeering at the height of his success.
