Drake’s Son Adonis Adorably Discusses His Basketball Skills In A Video Drake Shared

There may not be a rapper who loves basketball (or at least is open and enthusiastic about their love of the game) as much as Drake. (Literal professional basketball player J. Cole may be an exception.) Drake is a courtside fixture at NBA games and he’s been an official “global ambassador” of the Toronto Raptors since 2013. Naturally, Drake has started passing that passion onto his son Adonis, who was recently seen adorably mimicking LeBron James’ mannerisms while shooting on Drake’s home court.

Speaking of cute Adonis videos, Drake recently offered up another one on his Instagram Story. In a selfie-style video, Drake asks his son, “Yo, where’d you learn to shoot like that?” Adonis shrugs and playfully replies, “I don’t know.” Drake then noted he just made four out of five shots and added, “You’re cash right now.” Drake again asked how Adonis became such a sharpshooter and the boy replied with an even bigger shrug, “I shoot at school!”

In other recent-Drake-Instagram-post news, he shared a photo of himself with the Haim sisters yesterday, writing, “Just met the Beatles.” The band re-shared and added, “We’re the Beatles.” The trio’s The One More Haim Tour brought them to Toronto last week, so that’s why the four were able to meet up and snap a pic.

Capella Grey Announces His Upcoming Single ‘OT’ Featuring Ty Dolla Sign

Capella Grey seems to only know how to elevate. The Bronx artist burst onto the scene in 2021 with the track “Gyalis,” forcing his way into the conversation for song of the summer, if not the year; It bubbled outwardly from just being a New York bop to a worldwide smash. As a result, he found himself in the studio with many greats on the artist and production side. While fans have been patiently, or impatiently, awaiting his next move, he announced today on Instagram that he has a record coming called “OT” featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

A moving graphic of the two artists and a quick trailer accompanies the announcement, as Grey sits with his lady to watch a movie before Ty calls him to ask where he is. The two are on opposite coasts, but it sounds like the “Psycho” artist is trying to convince the 26-year-old to come out west. The trailer closes with Capella singing ,”Why would I take a shorty OT,” meaning “out of town,” which makes it very clear what his intentions would be on that trip.

Capella is no stranger to big collaborations, as “OT” will follow the March record “Confujawn” featuring Grammy-winning songwriter and artist Nija. In 2021, “Gyalis” was remixed by Chris Brown, Popcaan, and a slew of other artists. Most recently, Chloe Bailey tried her hand at a “Gyalis” cover.

Doja Cat Explains Why She Doesn’t Like Her Early Hit ‘Go To Town’

Doja Cat has come a long way since dropping her debut album, Amala, in 2018. While that album mostly flew under music fans’ radars, after breaking through with her jokey track “Mooo!” and follow-up singles “Tia Tamera” and “Juicy,” many revisited the album and its lead single “Go To Town” — although, according to Doja herself, she’d rather they didn’t.

In a YouTube segment accompanying her recent Elle magazine cover story called “Thirst Trap,” Doja got challenged to answer some potentially controversial questions or take a shot for each one she abstained from answering. One of those questions was, “What song or verse do you regret putting out and why?” In the video, Doja waffles a bit about whether or not to answer because “then I’m just giving more attention to it,” but ultimately decides to tell viewers, “Don’t go and listen to ‘Go To Town’… I don’t like that one.” Sorry, Doja, but…

Her explanation reflects her musical perfectionism. “It’s not a bad song. I don’t think that I was very lyrically or vocally evolved in that era… That song is really difficult to listen to for me. Don’t waste your time.” This lines up with previous statements Doja has made about Amala as a whole; she’s called it unfinished and rushed in the past, attributing both to her overindulgence in weed and partying while recording it. However, she’s certainly made up for it since with Hot Pink and Planet Her, and she has vowed to really lean into her rap proclivities on her fourth album, for which she says she wants 9th Wonder to make beats.

MIA Confirms The New Album, ‘Mata,’ And Shares Her First New Track In Years, ‘The One’

As far as new music is concerned, things have been mighty silent in MIA’s camp for years. The last time the British shock rapper and noted activist released an album was in 2016, when AIM came out. But today, the next chapter of MIA has been announced, with the impending release of her sixth studio album, Mata, and the arrival of the first single, “The One.”

Mata will mark the first MIA album released via her new partnership with Island Records, following a long-standing history with Interscope and XL Recordings. “The One,” sees her asserting her deification over a beat produced by Rex Kudo & T-Minus. A performance video surfaced on Twitter of MIA performing the song in front of a giant cross and backed by a children’s choir, showing the depth of the song’s vocal arrangement. On the hook, she raps in coyly auto-tuned vocals, “When you’re tryna find the one, why do you need reminding? No matter how you look at it, it’s me you keep finding.”

The Game Appears To Beat Mike Tyson In An Arm Wrestling Match

The Game has been known to embellish a story or two in his past, but it appears the latest happening in his life may actually have video proof. This past Tuesday, the Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast Instagram posted behind-the-scenes footage of an upcoming episode where the legendary boxer hosts the West Coast rapper. The two engage in an intense arm wrestling match where it appears The Game may get the best of Tyson, but the 55-year-old mounts a comeback while simultaneously smoking a joint.

The Game took to Instagram to celebrate his supposed victory. “I beat @MikeTyson arm wrestling & before you get started in the comments… he told me this eye to eye after it was over,” the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper said. “I went light on em in the end cause I love him & I found it in my heart to let him come back lol.”

Perhaps the wildest part of it all is The Game’s admission that he was on mushrooms provided by Tyson. “Mike got me on shrooms, too, y’all. If I’m spaced out for the rest of the day, it’s this n**** fault.”

Evidently, they weren’t potent enough to stop him from a major underdog win and some nice momentum heading into The Game’s upcoming album Drillmatic.

Eminem Shares ‘Jimmy, Brian And Mike,’ A Previously Unreleased Song From The ‘Eminem Show’ Era

On this day (May 26) in 2002, Eminem released The Eminem Show, his defining album that spawned iconic singles like “Without Me” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” Now that the album is 20 years old, Eminem celebrated it today with a new “Expanded Edition,” which is available to stream now.

Perhaps the most notable goodie included among the extra tracks is “Jimmy, Brian And Mike,” which was previously unreleased before today. The song was previously mentioned on some rumored tracklists for 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP, the album immediately before The Eminem Show.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s longtime manager, offered some background about the song on Instagram, writing in a post from last night, “There was a song that Proof and [D12 member Denaun Porter] always loved and begged Em to release called ‘Jimmy, Brian and Mike’ that for whatever reason he just never finished beyond demo stages. A couple months ago for this EXPANDED EDITION release Em went back to the lab, recalled the sessions, finished the chorus and put the touches on it so that it could be included in the Bonus Tracks added to the album.”

All in all, this new Eminem Show release has 18 bonus tracks, which include B-sides, live performances, and instrumentals.

Polo G Announces His New Single ‘Distraction’ With A Comedic Trailer

The last project we got from Polo G, the deluxe version of his 2021 album Hall Of Fame, dropped in December, but he’s already prepping the rollout for his next one. The Chicago rapper shared a comedic trailer for his upcoming single, “Distraction,” recruiting YouTuber Kai Cenat for a minute-long sketch previewing the new song. In it, Kai can be seen performing a variety of chores around his house like vacuuming, cleaning the toilet, and taking out the trash, while being distracted by a snippet of the song.

After he nearly goes crazy searching for the source of the music, asking his son, accosting a neighborhood kid, and chucking his boombox out the window, he finally locates a pair of headphones and puts them on, only to have his face blown back as a longer snippet plays.

Although Polo hasn’t put out any solo music since Hall Of Fame 2.0, he has kept the buzz for that project strong by releasing videos for songs like “Unapologetic” with NLE Choppa; “Heating Up” featuring Yungliv; “Start Up Again” featuring Moneybagg Yo; and “Don’t Play” with Lil Baby. He also appeared on Fivio Foreign’s new album, B.I.B.L.E.

“Distraction” is out on June 3 via Columbia Records.

Lil Keed Is Remembered By His Family And Friends In A Funeral Service Held In Atlanta

The wounds are still very fresh from the untimely death of Atlanta rapper Lil Keed, but his family and friends managed to come together and lay him to rest on Wednesday (May 25) in his hometown. His pallbearers all wore white as they carried his casket out of the venue. The rapper, real name Raqhid Jevon Render, was reported to have passed earlier this month by his record label Young Stoner Life and brother Lil Gotit. Gotit and other attendees posted themselves at the funeral and paid homage in their captions.

Though no cause of death has been confirmed yet, sources closer to the 24-year-old said he was enduring severe stomach ailments prior to going to the hospital a few days later. Upon his admission, his liver and kidney began to fail. It is especially disheartening considering he had turned to sobriety after a history of drug and alcohol use.

Lil Keed burst onto the scene in 2018 with the record “Nameless” and other Keed Talk To ‘Em collaborations with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Trippie Redd, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty and Brandy. His debut album Long Live Mexico peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and the rapper was named one of the 10 XXL Freshman in 2020.

Post Malone Met Either An Alien Or A Ghost On His Compound In Utah

Post Malone‘s got a new album, Twelve Carat Toothache, coming out next week (what a great title), so naturally, he’s on a press tour to promote it after putting out the first single, “Cooped Up.” And because he’s Post Malone and thus drawn to doing things in unconventional ways, his first stop is none other than Complex’s Hot Ones. While chomping on ultra-spicy chicken tendies with Sean Evans, Posty chops it up about his new album’s recording process, playing Magic The Gathering, and yes, meeting an alien at his Utah compound — unless it was really a ghost.

The story comes up as Sean asks about his “close encounters with wildlife” out there in the hills of Utah, leading to Post recounting his trials with a “big mama cougar” who keeps finding ways over (or under, around, or possibly even through) his pet-protecting fence. “It’s supposed to keep all the wildlife out but somehow, this big cougar keeps getting in,” he recalls, before dropping the bomb. “Also, there was an alien there.” Obviously tickled by Sean’s bemusement, Post elaborates, “Not like a physical alien, but like a ball — I think it was an alien. Or a ghost. We caught it on the infrared camera. Does an alien count as wildlife?”

Post compares the “orb” to Sauron’s Eye from The Lord Of The Rings, which plays into his love of fantasy fiction.
