Doja Cat Blasted Fans For Stealing The Promotional Posters For Her Single ‘Attention’: ‘You’re Wack And I Don’t F*ck With You’

As the saying goes, look but don’t touch. Apparently, this isn’t an ideology Doja Cat fans subscribe to. The “Attention” rapper took to social media to blast supporters for stealing the promotional posters for her latest single. As the entertainer advertises the song’s release nationwide, her team has plastered artwork in several areas with high foot traffic. But after they were put up, some of them have been going missing.

After Doja Cat learned about the thefts, she went online to vent her frustrations. In a statement shared to her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Stealing my advertisements off of the walls around the city is super f*cked up. We don’t put those up for free, so keep that in mind.” She added, “You’re wack, and I don’t f*ck with you if you’re doing that. Use your f*cking brain.”

With Doja’s The Scarlet Tour kicking off in the fall and her forthcoming album rumored to hit streaming platforms before then, she’s keeping a close eye on every marketing expense.

While this isn’t the first time Doja has had a few fiery words for fans. In May, her off-kilter humor ended in calling those who didn’t find her jokes “dumb.”

Usher Serenaded Saweetie Onstage During His Las Vegas Residency, But The ‘Icy Girl’ Kept Her Cool To Avoid ‘Kekegate’

Usher warned fellas not to leave their girls around him in 2002 via his song “U Don’t Have To Call.” YG had no clue that would remain true over 20 years later, when his rumored boo, Saweetie, crossed paths with the singer. The “My Type” rapper traveled to Las Vegas for Usher’s critically acclaimed My Way residency. Little did she know she’ll end up on stage with the musician.

During the fan interaction segment of his show, Usher serenaded Saweetie to his song “There Goes My Baby.” However, she kept her cool to avoid the same public spat with her alleged boyfriend, which Keke Palmer dealt with earlier this week. In the clip captured by a fan, when encouraged to participate, Saweetie played coy, to which Usher remarked, “Oh Saweetie, you’re too cool to sing my song?”

While it’s not clear if this was just a case of stage fright, fans are speculating that Saweetie chose not to join with Usher because she didn’t want to receive any public blowback. Keke Palmer was berated by her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, who is the father to her son Leo, after she was seen dancing and singing along with Usher in a performance prior.

Nelly Furtado Said She And Timbaland ‘Have Plans’ To Reunite And Work On New Music Together

Back in 2006, Nelly Furtado had the radio in a chokehold. Her third album, Loose, which was primarily produced by Timbaland, spawned several hits, including “Promiscuous,” “Maneater,” and “Say It Right.”

Now, Furtado is gearing up for a comeback. In a recent interview with Vogue, she opened up about her upcoming album.

Furtado’s new album will mark her first album in six years, and her seventh overall. She revealed that it’s almost done, and will have some more dance-oriented tracks.

Furtado also noted that she plans to work with Timbaland on more of her upcoming music.

“We have plans, for sure. I actually talked to Timbaland recently, and we had this amazing two-hour FaceTime call,” Furtado said. “We were talking about when we made Loose, and getting into all these stories.”

According to Furtado, Timbaland also enjoyed “Eat Your Man,” Furtado’s EDM collaboration with Dom Dolla.

“He told me he loved how I sounded on ‘Eat Your Man.’ It was nice to have his blessing on the new stuff, because Dom [Dolla]’s a really big fan of his as well,” said Furtado.

Furtado said the album is coming “soon,” however, it’s unclear whether her upcoming collaborations with Timbaland will be complete in time for the project.

But regardless, we can’t wait for new music.

Cardi B Pushes Back Against Claims She Doesn’t Write Her Verses By Offering A Unique Proposal

Cardi B is shutting down any haters who doubt the fact that she writes her own lyrics, following the release of her “Point Me 2” collab with FendiDa Rapper. Earlier this morning, a Twitter user wrote, “I don’t care who writes it. Cardi B is hard AF!” about the song — leading the Bronx rapper to chime in.

“I WRITE IT ….Come to a studio session!” she responded.

Even with Cardi’s invite, the original poster still gave credit where it was due. “She raps with conviction. Every time!” he added.

“Once Cardi B releases another classic album in 2023,” another user commented on the post. “She’ll end up being a top 5 woman rapper once it’s all said & done respectively. Her features are too consistent.”

Over the years, Cardi B has pushed back against similar claims about her songwriting and having ghostwriters. “I do write a lot of my sh*t that’s the thing,” she said in 2019, according to Billboard. “Yes just like every other artist I do have a couple writer that help with hooks but I wrote plenty of songs on my album specially my mixtape.”

She also took home the ASCAP Songwriter Of The Year award that same year.

Doja Cat Shows Off Her Stars And Strips Down In A Patriotic-Themed Photoshoot, Popsicles And All

While the 4th of July celebrations might have ended, it seems Doja Cat is keeping the party going — by sharing some stripped-down pics from a patriotic photoshoot to her Instagram.

Doja changes looks throughout, wearing an American flag bikini in one as she poses with a messy hot dog. The food theme then continues as she goes topless, replacing the bikini top with some whipped cream and cherry coverage instead.

There’s also some popsicle poses as the rapper sits outside — clearly with seductive intent. Doja truly looks incredible in the series of high-quality shots, rocking her sunglasses throughout quite a few of them and theming her makeup around the red, white, and blue colors of the holiday.

“male gays > male gaze,” she captioned the set, tagging her photographer, Jacob Webster.

Fans in the comments are loving the shoot too. “MOTHER IS MOTHERING,” one user wrote. Others, well, are going a different route — while still keeping things positive. “Look at me Doja, I’m the hot dog you want,” another IG person commented.

Doja previously has been active on social media over the past few weeks, as she also dropped some new tour dates for the winter and is gearing up to share new music.

Keke Palmer Is ‘Stevie To The Bullsh*t’ Criticisms Of Her Cozy Dance With Usher

Keke Palmer has been the subject of a minor controversy this week after a video of her flirtatious dance with Usher at his Las Vegas concert drew criticism from plenty of salty men — including Darius Jackson, the father of her four-month-old son. However, to let Ms. Palmer tell it, she doesn’t even see the chatter online according to the caption of her latest Instagram post, which subtly responded to the kefuffle over her viral moment.

“One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!” she wrote in the caption of a video singing Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” to her son. “To all my mom’s out there, how did your baby change you?? Mine empowered me! On such another level, my perspective changed because when my baby is good I’m GREAT! Look at that face! Gratitude galore.”

Although she doesn’t overtly say it, this looks very much like a clear reference to Jackson’s comments on her video, in which he wrote, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.” The outfit in question, a sheer unitard over a booty-baring black leotard, had many observers expressing their thirst, appreciation, or disapproval on Twitter (with a strong correlation, in this writer’s opinion, to the individual commenters’ level of “rizz,” as the kids say).

Keke took her response one step further, though, adding that she put some new merch up for sale: Shirts that read “I’m a motha!” and “Stevie to the bullsh*t” — referring to Stevie Wonder’s inability to see negative commentary.

Drake Will Welcome Bras — Not Phones And Glasses — To Be Thrown At Him On The ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’

Janelle Monáe demanded that the public stop policing their areolas at Essence Fest 2023. Drake is taking it further regarding the stage rules for the It’s All A Blur Tour. The “Search & Rescue” rapper is aware of the alarming new concert trend of hurling items at entertainers. In an attempt to meet ticketholders in the middle, Drake declared that he would welcome bras — not phones and glasses — to be thrown at him.

During the tour’s Chicago show, the recording artist asked the crowd, “Can we set a new stage rule for the tour?”

He then followed up, saying, “If you’re going to throw things up here, just make it bras only. Just know! Like I don’t need new cell phones, new sunglasses — I don’t need nothing. I just need titties. Things that cover titties. That’s all I need.”

In response, a fan in the crowd shouted something to the effect of “There’s some over here,” and the rapper quickly turned around to yell, “Where?”

The compromise might force venues to raise the minimum age of patrons. However, looking on the bright side, it will undoubtedly change the mood in the venue to a much perkier energy.

Janelle Monáe Keeps The Hedonistic, Barely-Clothed Party Going In The New ‘Water Slide’ Video

Janelle Monáe’s latest album is called The Age Of Pleasure, and indeed, Monáe has been enjoying a pleasurable age. That was most evident in May, when she shared the video for “Lipstick Lover,” a visual full of butts and bodies and kissing and dancing and all sorts of other means of people enjoying their time. Monáe dropped a new video for “Water Slide” today and it features more of the same.

The whole video has a very similar vibe to the “Lipstick Lover” clip, with a bunch of people wearing not much clothing as they enjoy moving, swimming, singing, dancing, and each other. Like “Lipstick Lover” before it, “Water Slide,” both the song and the video, are the perfect embodiment of summertime fun.

In an interview from back in May, a simple statement from Monáe succinctly encapsulated the entire vibe of The Age Of Pleasure: “I’m much happier when my titties are out and I can run around free.”

The Age Of Pleasure is out now via Wondaland Arts Society/Atlantic Records. Find more information here.

Drake Dissed ‘Guys That Go Away’ For Years On His Tour And Fans Think It’s Directed At Kendrick Lamar

Drake has been using his It’s All A Blur Tour to revisit his past, talk Bio 101(?), and pay homage to fallen friends, but he’s also been using it to air some grievances. In addition to cheekily calling out Childish Gambino for admitting “This Is America” started life as a diss song, fans are convinced he also took a jab at frenemy Kendrick Lamar with a comment he made on stage during the opening night in Chicago.

According to HipHopDX, Drake took some time to address accusations that he releases too much music while announcing that he has another album coming out soon, saying, “I know it’s summertime, I gotta give you shit! I don’t know about these guys that go away for three, four, five years and wanna chill out and all that shit. That’s not me. With that being said, I got an album coming out soon for y’all. It’s called For All The Dogs.

Fans on Twitter took his comment to be a shot at Kendrick Lamar, who has become notorious for the long gaps between his releases — his most recent album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, came out last year, nearly five years after its Pulitzer-winning predecessor, DAMN. Fans previously believe Kendrick had made a reference to Drake on his cousin Baby Keem’s recently released single “The Hillbillies,” borrowing the flow from Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind track “Sticky” and parodying it with silly lyrics.

However, while the duo has appeared to be circling around each other for years, there does seem to be some respect there, at least from Drake’s end. He was seen last summer attending Kendrick’s Big Steppers Tour stop in Toronto — although that could have just been an intelligence-gathering excursion, gathering “game film” on his rival, so to speak.
