Kodak Black’s Lawyer Speaks Up For Brian Steel After Young Thug’s Attorney Is Taken Into Custody

Kodak Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, has spoken out in defense of Brian Steel, the attorney for Young Thug who was taken into custody during the YSL Rico trial on Monday. After a fierce clash with Judge Ural Glanville, he was found in contempt of court. Steel was livid after learning of a conversation that took place between Glanville, prosecutors, and one of the state’s star witnesses prior to the court date.

“This case and judge is off the reservation,” Cohen wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in response to the news. “This is an instant mistrial. I cannot believe the Judge thinks taking a defense atty into custody isn’t a mistrial. BRIAN STEELE [sic] is a real one. Defense lawyers across the country should be terrified by the lack of judicial knowledge.”

Brian Steel, attorney for rapper Young Thug, arrives at the Fulton County Courthouse on November 27, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. Opening statements are set to begin in the case against 31-year-old US rapper Young Thug and 28 others, who are facing a racketeering indictment accusing the defendants of a number of offenses that support an overarching conspiracy charge, including murder, assault, carjacking, drug dealing, and theft. As for the incident in the courtroom on Monday, Glanville became furious when Steel questioned him about the aforementioned conversation. “I still want to know, how did you come upon this information,” Glanville reiterated as Steel ranted about it being unconstitutional. “Who told you?” He later added: “You don’t get to extort the court. It doesn’t work that way.”

Bradford Cohen Reacts To Brian Steel’s Arrest

Steel eventually returned to the courtroom and received a sentence of 10 weekends in jail. If his appeal falls through, he’ll spend them with Thug behind bars. Be on the lookout for further updates on Bradford Cohen as well as Brian Steel and the YSL trial on HotNewHipHop.

Sexyy Red Shows Out At WWE Once Again, Twerks With NXT Star Lola Vice

On June 9, NXT Battleground, a WWE special event, took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It was an exciting evening filled with star power, nonstop action, and captivating matches starring top NXT talents. Sexyy Red was once again in attendance and hosted the night like a pro. She gave the show’s introduction, congratulated Kelani Jordan on her victory, and celebrated with NXT champion Trick Williams following his successful retention in the main event. She, of course, made some viral moments along the way, like Twerking with NXT talent and cooking with WWE legend Shawn Michaels.

But she also had a few other moments that appear to be gaining the kind of internet attention that WWE was hoping for when they chose to work with Red. One occurred during the main program when Lola Vice and Sexyy ran into each other following Shayna Baszler’s defeat in an NXT Underground match. Since neither of the women had ever been called shy, Red felt free to turn their tandem twerk into a trio with interviewer Sarah Schreiber.

Sexyy Red Twerks With Lola Vice On NXT

Schreiber was a good sport about it and retweeted the above, showcasing some of her skills outside of wrestling. After the show, Sexxy Red had some more fun with her favorite sexy boy. NXT head honcho Shawn Michaels made an appearance alongside TNA Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace. He leaned into the chef joke, obviously enjoying dancing with the woman who he lobbied for to get on the show. He gave Battleground a five-star rating for dinner. Sexyy Red may be looking to catapult into the ring as an actual wrestler soon. That would draw some eyeballs to NXT.

The group is seen in a kitchen scene when Sexyy Red exclaims, “I’ve got two coming in hot!” as Grace closes the door to an appliance. Shawn Michaels then called NXT Battleground a “five-star meal” while jokingly donning a chef’s hat in remembrance of his legendary DX segment from 2009. Michaels posed with Grace and Red at the end of the film, perfectly encapsulating the lively mood of the night. Overall, Shawn Michaels has been cooking up quite a show with NXT, and Sexxy Red may have been the perfect ingredient to add.

ManMan Savage & KEY! Aren’t Showing “Favoritism” To Anyone On New Single

ManMan Savage is a veteran from the rich city of Atlanta that a lot of people may not know about. If you are one of those people, you should definitely give him a shot. He has been around for about nine years, dropping his first song, “Takin Shots”, on July 31, 2015. It would not be until 2018 when he would nab his first hit song, though. “She A Freak”, featuring Ohgeesy and 03 Greedo, actually remains at the top of his most popular songs, with over 11.6 million streams. Throughout his career, ManMan has dropped some fun, lowkey, and intoxicating trap bangers that feature some slightly left-field production. One of those tracks that follows that similar formula is “Favoritism”, which is ManMan Savage’s most recent release.

Over this futuristic, video game-like beat, him and KEY! are not playing favorites. Across the 1:43 second runtime, both are rapping with a lot of energy about not giving any woman or competitor special treatment. At one point during “Favoritism,” ManMan Savage and KEY! trade bars, which helps break up the song nicely. This is the Chicago-born native’s second single of 2024 so far. It follows up “FR FR”, which got a wider release than “Favoritism”, and dropped back in May. Furthermore, this comes after a massive 2023. During that year, ManMan Savage was on tear, dropping album after album. In fact, the dude put out five projects, one of which was a collaborative effort with MexikoDro. As we mentioned, “Favoritism” is not out on all platforms. In fact, you can only find the ManMan Savage and KEY! collab on YouTube. Click the link below to check it out.

JasonMartin & DJ Quik Slow Things Down On Dom Kennedy-Assisted “MONEY, CARS & GUNS”

JasonMartin and DJ Quik have an exciting album coming very soon called CHUPACABRA. This rapper/producer project will be available on June 14 and Martin, formerly known as Problem, is very excited for what they have coming. “This moment will be the legendary. The album we crafted together, with the help of @jayworthy142, will restore the feeling that’s been missing from California music as a whole. Everything from the production to the features were created in 30 days. This isn’t about art. This isn’t about numbers. This is about two Compton powerhouses joining forces one more time to give the city some fire a** music!!”. JasonMartin is certainly right, because “MONEY, CARS & GUNS” is just that.

This the sixth promotional track from CHUPACABRA, and it is looking like one of the shortest tracks from it. On “MONEY, CARS & GUNS”, JasonMartin actually does not rap at all. In fact, the feature, which is Dom Kennedy, dominates the 2:05 track all the way through. He brings a cool and smooth flow to this jazzy, summertime-like instrumental. There is a cool moment at the beginning where Quik starts off with a more up-tempo version of the beat and Dom asks him to slow things down. He corresponds and, in the visualizer below, the video replicates this by playing at a faster speed, before going back to normal. We cannot wait for what Jason and DJ Quik have in store, and we will not have to wait much longer.
