Model Jenn An is suing Kanye West for an alleged incident that included sexual assault and strangulation.

According to An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, the event occurred during a music video shoot for La Roux’s “In for the Kill ” in September 2010 at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City.

An alleges that Kanye West specifically selected her to be one of the female background actors and models, reportedly saying, “Give me the Asian girl.” According to her, when she expressed concern about the revealing nature of her outfit, West allegedly responded, “That’s why I chose you.” According to The Wrap, the legal docs state she was currently wearing lingerie.

The lawsuit obtained by The Wrap claims that West dismissed the other background actors and models and then “began filming the sexual assault.”

An accuses West of strangling her with both hands before forcing several fingers down her throat. She claims he repeatedly moved his fingers in and out, causing her to gag, in what she believed lasted over a minute, to simulate forced oral sex. During the moment, Ye is alleged to say, “This is art. This is f–king art. I am like Picasso.”

An’s suit also lists Interscope and Universal Music Group. An is seeking “damages for mental, emotional and physical injury, distress, pain and suffering and injury to reputation” and lawyer fees.

Diddy Issues Cease-and-Desist Over Shyne Documentary Allegations

Sean “Diddy” Combs has sent a cease-and-desist letter regarding ESPN’s Andscape documentary on Shyne, ahead of its Nov. 18 release. Sources indicate Diddy was not attempting to block the film but wanted to ensure factual accuracy after Shyne alleged he took the fall for the Bad Boy Records founder in a high-profile 1999 nightclub shooting.

The incident, involving Diddy, Shyne (born Jamal Barrow), and Jennifer Lopez, led to a trial in 2001. Shyne was convicted of assault and reckless endangerment, serving eight years in prison, while Diddy was acquitted of all charges. Shyne, now a politician in Belize, reflects in the documentary that he was the “fall guy” for the rap mogul, adding, “When I said it [at the time], everyone was partying and having a great time with Diddy while I was left to rot in prison.”

According to Page Six, Diddy’s representatives deny the claims: “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”

Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Shyne revealed that he once attempted to spit in Diddy’s face when he visited him in jail. Additionally, he said that Diddy gave him $50,000 as an attempt of reconciliation.

“I felt he owed me something, he gave me $50 racks,” Shyne said. “I said you can’t be serious. 10 years? 50 racks.”

You can hear it all from Shyne below.

Shyne is letting it all fly when it comes to Diddy. Appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show, Shyne stated he thinks Diddy is the devil and highlighted what he thinks caused their relationship to break down.

This isn’t the first time Shyne has spoken out about Diddy. Back in September, he also levied the “destroyed my life” claim.

“I was defending him and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me,” Shyne said. “He pretty much sent me to prison. That is the context by which you must always describe that relationship.

“Let us not lose sight of what they cold heart facts are. This is not someone I vacationed with and enjoyed a great intimate relationship of brotherhood. This is someone who destroyed my life and who I forgave and for the better interest of Belize, because he was in a position at the time to give scholarships and invest, I would not deny the attempt of investment to Belize.”

Now, Diddy and his team have had enough. Reaching out to TMZ, a rep for the jailed mogul said: “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”

The rep also said, “Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the 1999 Club New York incident and has consistently maintained his innocence. He cannot accept or condone any characterization of his actions as ‘demonic’ or ‘malicious.’”

But they weren’t done, “Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations. Mr. Combs trusts that responsible journalism will weigh both the established legal outcomes and Mr. Combs’ positive, longstanding support for those he has worked with.”

On this day 37 years ago, Run-D.M.C. released their holiday-themed single “Christmas in Hollis”. The song was originally featured on the star-studded charity compilation album, A Very Special Christmas, alongside the likes of Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Stevie Nicks to name a few. Produced by Run-D.M.C. and Rick Rubin, this track has become a Christmas favorite among Hip Hop fans everywhere in that it is one of Hip Hop’s first mainstream holiday singles.

In Hip Hop music, it is hard to find an artist who would be down with recording a Christmas-themed single for a commercial cause. Even Run-D.M.C. was opposed to the idea. D.M.C. spoke out saying, “Nope. We’re not doing it. That’s what they try to do to Hip Hop. They commercialize you and try to make you corny.”

When asked to record “Christmas in Hollis”. Eventually, they warmed up to the idea and paved the way for a whole new seasonal branch of Hip Hop that fans across the world have come to enjoy. In honor of this day, we have compiled a list of the top five holiday songs in rap music.

Salute to the greatest hip Hop duo of all time and a special Rest In Peace to Raymond “Lil Lep” Lopez, the b-boy pioneer who played Santa’s elf” passed away earlier this month.

Kofi Drops Lead To Pettyboy In “Say I Won’t”

Red Bull Records Kofi prepares for the world for Pettyboy with the buzzworthy lead single “Say I Won’t.” It’s an R&B slow jam that demands his partner not leave him for “a couple girls waiting on me right now.” The single centers around the 11-track project that introduces the new sensation to a worldwide audience. “‘Pettyboy’ is my get back album,” says Red Bull’s promising act. “All the things I should’ve done in my last relationship but didn’t. All the times I held my tongue, this is what I should’ve said.”

Red Bull is known for producing chart-topping superstars such as Blxst, Joony, and Late August 08. Blxst and Joony just came off the I’ll Always Come Find You Tour. The addition of Kofi takes the label to another level as it embarks on international territories to discover the next big star.

Kofi is a Ghanaian producer, singer-songwriter, and rapper who merges R&B, hip-hop, and Afrobeats. Originally from Toronto and a fan of artists like Drake, he now lives in Sète, France, where he plays professional volleyball. Balancing both music and sports, he continues to prove his doubters wrong. Pettyboy is a concept album that explores the phases of a toxic relationship through Kofi’s savage alter ego. His lyrics range from “Don’t ask me to be romantic, that’s hopeless” to “Girl I promise I’ll change.” Inspired by Toronto’s cold yet beautiful vibe, Kofi collaborated with local producers like SLMN and King Fisher.

Brands Use Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” To Their Advantage On Social Media

While hip-hop reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album, GNX, brands promote their products by taking advantage of its popularity. McDonald’s, DreamWorks Animation, AXE Body Spray, Amazon Music, and even the Shrek and Despicable Me franchises are just a few of the corporate giants incorporating it into their marketing campaigns. Sports teams like the Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders, along with the NFL itself, have also joined the frenzy. The level of obsession feels almost surreal.

Kendrick Lamar has always been a cultural force, but his latest album, GNX, has ignited something unusual—a strange corporate infatuation with one of his standout tracks. The Pulitzer Prize-winning artist, widely regarded as the reigning king of Hip-Hop in 2024, has captivated listeners with the song “TV Off.” One particular moment has taken on a life of its own. When Lamar passionately cries out, “Mustarrrrrrrrrrrrdddd!,” the line became an instant phenomenon, sparking memes, debates, and viral videos. Mustard supported the social media craze on his account by resharing all the content.

Fast-Food to Blockbuster Films Promote Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX”

Industry insiders suggest it’s a textbook case of brands chasing cultural relevance, desperate to connect with Gen Z audiences. Others speculate it’s simply a snowball effect, with one company jumping on the bandwagon and the rest following suit. There’s even a tongue-in-cheek theory circulating that it’s some kind of elaborate conspiracy. While that’s clearly a joke, it underscores just how unusual and pervasive the trend has become.

The buzz around GNX shows no sign of slowing down. While the album is being praised for its bold themes and sharp lyricism, the conversations it has sparked—inside and outside the music world—highlight Lamar’s unparalleled ability to provoke thought and emotion, one line at a time. The album demonstrates his ability to surprise, innovate, and captivate. The soon-to-be #1 album not only solidifies his legacy but also sets the stage for an electrifying year ahead in music and culture. Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the Super Bowl LIX halftime show this February.

Drake Announces “Anita Max Wynn Australia Tour” Begins Same Day As Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Drake plans to hit the road while Kendrick Lamar performs the Super Bowl halftime show. On Sunday’s xQc Livestream, he announced that his “Anita Max Wynn Tour” will begin on February 9, 2025. The Australian tour kicks off the same day as Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. After Lamar was announced as the halftime performer, snubbing Lil Wayne, the halftime show has been trending. Kendrick was named as the upcoming performer after Lil Wayne voiced his desire to perform for his hometown crowd since the previous Super Bowl.

The rap star joined Nicki Minaj and Birdman in trolling NFL Super Bowl ambassador Jay-Z after Weezy lost out on the performance. Kendrick would address Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl comments on GNX’s intro, “wacced out murals.” After releasing three diss tracks last spring, including “Not Like Us,” Lamar took shots at Drake throughout the surprise album. Drake recently referenced a Kendrick Lamar line from “Euphoria” while commenting on popular streamer Pokimane’s thoughts on him. Drizzy would respond to the stream with, “Is it the braids?”

Drake Will Be Out Of The Country For Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show

The tour announcements follow Drizzy’s comments on Kendrick Lamar’s new album and the current state of rap. On GNX, the 6 God said, “I’m here, as you can see, fully intact. Mind, body, and soul. In case you are wondering, right? You need facts to take me out. Fairy tales won’t do it..” On the rap, he told xQc, “Rap music is weird now anyway.” Drizzy would also restrict The Weeknd’s music from being played during the stream.

Throughout the last half-decade, Drizzy has consistently been on tour. The NFL allegedly asked him to perform thrice at the Super Bowl halftime show, but he declined. With eight studio albums, he has become the highest-streaming artist in rap. He is preparing a new joint album with PartyNextDoor, set to be released this fall. He released his latest solo album, For All The Dogs, in 2023.

Drake Accuses Kendrick Lamar Of Peddling Fairytales While Streaming With xQc

Drake appears unfazed by Kendrick Lamar’s new album, GNX. As a guest on the popular xQc Livestream, the superstar addressed the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performer’s surprise album that takes several shots at him. Introducing himself as a musician, Drizzy comments on Kendrick Lamar, “I’m here, as you can see, fully intact. Mind, body, and soul. In case you are wondering, right? You need facts to take me out. Fairy tales won’t do it..”

This isn’t the first time Drake has spoken about Lamar’s authenticity. In 2013, Drizzy told Elliott Wilson that the legendary “Control” verse was a moment but nothing immortal. “[Kendrick] is giving people moments,” he said of the “Control” verse. “But are you listening to it now, at this point in time? Okay… It was real cool for a couple of weeks.” But, he continued: “If I asked you, for example, how does that verse start?” Drake was named by Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse along with Big Sean, Wale, Meek Mill, and Pusha T.

Drake Tells xQc That Kendrick Lamar Needs More Than “Fairy Tales” To Take Him Out

After addressing Kendrick’s new album, Drizzy would share his thoughts on today’s rap. While asking xQc about his taste in music, he states: “Rap music is weird now anyway.” The comment follows Drake’s recent collaboration with emerging artist Chino Pacas on a Spanish track. Drizzy would deliver another verse in Spanish as he did on Bad Bunny’s “MIA” in 2018. Chino Pacas and the 6 God’s collaboration has received mixed reviews.

Drake has spent most of 2024 fending off multiple rivals, including Rick Ross, Future, The Weeknd, and Kendrick Lamar. After releasing his version of “The Heart Pt. 6,” the final response to Kendrick Lamar, Drake would rebuild his popularity by releasing new music on his 100 GB website. He would hint at a possible rematch in his rivalry with Kendrick Lamar; however, another response has not been released yet.
