Migos Claim “Culture III” Is AOTY & Call The Grammys Overrated

After a three-year hiatus, the Migos are finally back. Together, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff are perhaps one of the greatest Hip-Hop groups out right now, and in honor of the release of their fourth studio album Culture III, the three Atlanta rappers have stepped into The Shade Room for an exclusive interview.

Throughout their discussion with Rhélin T and Buzy Baker, the Migos cover a wide variety of topics, including whether they deserved to be on the 2010s Hip-Hop Mt. Rushmore, their penchant for starting new lingo, and how they feel when other artists copy their cadence. However, the most interesting moments throughout their interview arose when speaking on their latest full-length album as well as their stance on the Grammys.   Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff of Migos perform during The SHAQ Bowl for Super Bowl LV on February 07, 2021 in Tampa, Florida.

After Rhélin T asks what fans should expect from Culture III and questions if the Migos consider it to be the album of the summer, all three rappers confidently respond, “It’s the album of the year.

Later on in the interview (near the 15:30-mark), Buzy Baker brings up the group’s two Grammy nominations from 2017 and lets them know that he thinks they got robbed that year. From that point on the Migos proceed to blast the Grammys, with Takeoff starting the conversation by saying, “I feel like its overrated, oversaturated. I feel like they be bringing artists there, great artists, and we put our hard work, blood, sweat, and tears into our body of work just to crush our feelings.”

Quavo continues to suggest the BET Awards as a more promising alternative to the Grammys, saying, “We need to create our own awards and platforms that mess with the artists. It’ll mean more to us ’cause we can appreciate it. I just think we need put all our power into the BET Awards because the BET Awards really mean something.”

Cole Beasley Goes On Lengthy Anti-Vaxx Rant

Numerous players throughout the NFL have been very vocal about their opposition to the vaccine. In fact, compared to other sports, it feels like football players have a particular distaste for the vaccine, which has been administered all throughout the world. Vaccines have become necessary in order to skirt various protocols, although some athletes simply don’t care. Cole Beasley of the Buffalo Bills just so happens to be one of those players.

Taking to Twitter today, Beasley doubled down on his anti-vaxx views as he wrote a lengthy message on his notes app, and posted it for all of his followers to share. Throughout the rant, Beasley explains how he isn’t scared of COVID and that he won’t allow it to change his life. He feels like the vaccine is unnecessary and that he would rather just get the virus and let fate figure it out.

“I may die of covid, but I’d rather die actually living. I have family members whose days are numbered. If they want to come see me and stay at my house, then they are coming regardless of protocol. I don’t play for the money anymore. My family has been taken care of,” Beasley said in his rant. He eventually told people to drink water, as that is somehow supposed to protect you.

Beasley’s opinion is one that is shared by numerous Americans, and his mentality probably won’t be changing anytime soon. With this in mind, it will be interesting to see how the NFL deals with its protocols, especially with so many players avoiding any sort of precautions.

Tom Brady Reveals Whether Or Not He Would Play Until 50

Tom Brady is one of the greatest players in the history of the NFL and despite his age, he continues to perform at a very high level. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star is fresh off of winning his seventh Super Bowl and moving forward, he is expected to have another great season. The Buccaneers are bringing back the vast majority of their players from last season, and many believe they will be a threat to win another Super Bowl.

Recently, Brady had a conversation with USA Today where he was asked about the prospect of playing until he is 50 years old. Originally, Brady had said he wanted to play until 45, and as it stands, he still intends on fulfilling that goal. As for playing until 50, that remains to be seen.

“50? That’s a long time. Even for me, that’s a long time,” Brady said. “I’ve always said 45 was the age that I wanted to reach and that was my goal. This year I’ll be 44, so next year I’ll be 45. I got a two-year contract. I’m going to be able to obviously play this year and God forbid anything happens but play next year and then see what happens after that. If I still want to keep playing, I might be able to do that. And if that’s enough, then that would be enough.”

No one would blame Brady if he were to retire right now, as his career is easily the greatest of all time. Regardless, Brady remains motivated, and watching him dominate over the past two decades has been special.

Donald Trump Rants About “The Blacks” In “WSJ” Reporter’s Upcoming Book

Although it has become one of the most contentious and highly debated topics by elected officials over the past eight months, the incumbent and former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election against Joe Biden last November. Despite previous reports that he was allegedly convinced that he’d be returning to office as the President of the United States by August, Donald Trump has finally admitted to losing the election.

According to Complex, Wall Street Journal reporter Mike Bender has written a book that gives viewers an inside look into the tumultuous events that led to Trump’s embarrassing defeat, and apparently, many of the moments covered in the book have to deal with the former president’s response to the civil unrest throughout 2020.

Below are some of the excerpts from Render’s forthcoming book, titled Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost:

For Father’s Day in 2020, what Donald Trump mostly wanted was to avoid his son-in-law. It was Jared Kushner who had talked the president into hiring Brad Parscale to run a campaign that was now, just months before the election, in freefall. And when most Americans rejected Trump’s unreasonably truculent response to the civil unrest that was sweeping the country, the president also blamed Kushner. Trump privately told advisers that he wished he’d been quicker to support police and more aggressive in his pushback against protesters

Trump had staked nearly his entire campaign in 2016 around a law-and-order image, and now groaned that the criminal justice reform that Kushner had persuaded him to support made him look weak and — even worse — hadn’t earned him any goodwill among Black voters

“I’ve done all this stuff for the Blacks — it’s always Jared telling me to do this,” Trump said to one confidante on Father’s Day. “And they all f—— hate me, and none of them are going to vote for me.”

Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost hits online and physical bookstores later this summer on Tuesday, Aug 10, and if you’re interested in reading Michael C. Bender’s forthcoming book, you can go ahead and preorder it on Amazon.

OMB Bloodbath Shares The Infectious New Single “Don’t Do It”

Following the release of the LVRN posse cut “Just Say That” last month, one of Love Renaissance’s rising artists is back with a catchy new single. OMB Bloodbath — who we’ve previously heard on tracks with Westside Boogie, Maxo KreamChase B, and KenTheMan — returns with a blazing new offering titled “Don’t Do It.”

The single’s repetitive and infectious refrain makes the Houston native’s single feel more like a sports chant or a professional wrestler’s entrance music than a single, but that’s what makes “Don’t Do It” such an enjoyable listen. In between chants of “Don’t do it to them n*ggas, Bloodbath,” the LVRN artist shows off her technical skills with two impressive verses.

Scroll down a bit to listen to OMB Bloodbath’s latest single, “Don’t Do It.”

Quotable Lyrics

Don’t do it to them n*ggas, Bloodbath! (Don’t do it to ’em)
Don’t do it to them n*ggas, Bloodbath! (I won’t)
Don’t do it to them n*ggas, Bloodbath! (Don’t do it to ’em)
Don’t do it to them n*ggas, Bloodbath! (I won’t)
